After passing by the castle, they recommended a few trattorias. We booked this one, and honestly, I was very happy with the atmosphere—it was really well-kept and clean—the service, the food, which was excellent and plentiful, and, above all, the price. If I ever get back to that area, I'll definitely know where to eat or recommend it to a friend.

A typical local trattoria. After visiting the Castle, we chose this trattoria at the recommendation of the Magione staff. We arrived easily after a 5-minute drive without any traffic and parked next to the restaurant along the road. Upon entering, they asked us to leave a name and return in 15 minutes. Taking advantage of a nice Sunday, we strolled to the Dam and took two photos in the surrounding nature. Upon returning to the restaurant, they let us choose a table. We ordered a mixed platter for two, followed by a first course and a second course each. Personally, I chose a typical Piacenza dish, Pisarei with beans, for the first course. For the second course, I continued with the Heifer Stew with Gutturnio. To drink, a half-decanted local red wine and still water. At the register, they even offered us a discount on payment. The staff were friendly, and the restaurant was clean and spacious, ideal for parties and group meals. Recommended for those visiting the Chignolo Po Castle.

Excellent location, perfectly in keeping with the Po Valley tradition, with more than decent service. Varied and satisfying menu. The dishes are prepared to perfection and satisfy even the most discerning tastes. Attentive and fast service. Ample parking. Excellent value for money.

We had lunch here after visiting the Chignolo Po Castle: they were very kind in welcoming us. The food was delicious, as was the house red wine by the glass. The service was attentive and friendly.

Excellent trattoria. A very pleasant rustic atmosphere with well-cooked food and generous portions. The pisarei and beans were excellently seasoned, and the rabbit with Malvasia sauce and olives was fantastic. The desserts were also very good. Friendly staff.

Trattoria semplice con cucina casalinga. Personale gentile. Bell'atmosfera, peccato per le luci fredde che rendono la stanza un po' impersonale. Porzioni abbondanti. Lo consiglio

Posto essenziale ma accogliente Cibo buonissimo ho mangiato molto bene ma se devo dare un 10 lo do al coniglio con castagne la signora che cucina ti fa sentire a casa un po' meno i dolci ma non fa' nulla che dire trattoria il Bosco fermarsi senza indugio.....

Convenient parking. The place is simple and rustic, but clean and well-kept. Tables are spaced well apart, and there are cloth tablecloths and napkins. The menu is limited, as is appropriate for a small trattoria, but the dishes are good and plentiful. Prices are reasonable. Service is good, but not always smiling. The lady who answered the phone when I booked was a bit unfriendly.

Typical family-run trattoria, very nice interior, good first courses, potato gnocchi with sausage and mushrooms and lasagna with leeks and gorgonzola, a good appetizer, also excellent desserts tiramisu with colomba and ice cream with crème caramel, a good stop after visiting the castle of Chignolo po.

I haven't been to this trattoria in a few years, but it still maintains the quality of the food and excellent cuisine of yesteryear. Generous portions; the cured meats and excellent first courses are highly recommended. Prices are reasonable. The wine list could be improved. Highly recommended.

A trattoria nestled in the countryside offering simple, home-style cuisine. The staff is friendly but a bit cold—essential for quick service, let's say. The rustic, yet welcoming, trattoria atmosphere is inviting. The traditional dishes are generous, made with fresh ingredients. The quality/price ratio is adequate.

Good value for money. It's a shame the meat dish (veal regale) was poorly microwaved and a third of it was overcooked and tough. The desserts were excellent and generously portioned. Sorry, the photo shows half a dessert portion! But they were delicious. Pandoro tiramisu was amazing!!!
