First time having breakfast here, and it was truly one of the best breakfast experiences I’ve ever had. I ordered the Chilaquiles Patrón, recommended by our sweet server Abigail, and they were absolutely amazing. Abigail was professional, efficient, and made the experience so pleasant and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The decor and overall vibe at Ramona’s were stunning—I loved the natural, enchanting decor and the simplicity of the music, which made the atmosphere feel calm and special. Highly recommend 100%.
We always choose Casa Ramona when we come visit family from Austin. The food and drinks are great, the portions are generous! But what truly keeps us coming back is the hospitality and service. We had Pedro of our server, and the GM Julio Reyes came to check in on us multiple times through out. The interactions were genuine and it’s always a pleasant experience. Can not wait until our next family brunch!
My experience in this establishment was one of a kind. All around I give a 10/10. I have to give it to them, it’s been a while since my taste buds had this much excitement. They literally make everything from scratch, including their tortillas and even their chips for the chilaquiles (which was my favorite). It’s been a while since I have had this much flavor in my food here in Laredo, this is what we were missing for a while, and the cherry on top there prices are more than reasonable. When they bring your bill out to you it comes with a complimentary pretzel which was delicious. This establishment is here to stay!
Had an excellent time with Julio Reyes!!! He was a great hostess and great food.
This is definitely one of my new favorite brunch spots in Laredo. The decoration and the atmosphere makes it feel like it's gonna be quite expensive but it's not!. Loved every aspect of the restaurant. Good food, service was fast and staff was very attentive. To drink we got the Pistachio latte (which came with pistachios), it was very good, they also have other flavors such as Mazapán Latte, Lavender Latte, etc... however decided to give the Café Americano a try, since it's Colombian coffee and omg, it was one of the best coffees I've tried, also ordered a shot of espresso, but apparently their cafe Americano is strong enough no for those coffee/caffeine lovers, there's no need to add the extra shot. To eat we had the Chilaquiles patrón (which is filled with cheese) with Chipotle salsa, however even though the salsa was not spicy (at least for someone who regularly eats spicy food) the flavor itself was really good, we added Avocado and Pork belly (it felt more like chicharrón and was a bit dry, so next time I'd change it for Barbacoa de Picaña or any other topping that's a bit jucier). Moreover we had the Pura vida omelette (3 full eggs, although there's a healthier version with just the egg whites) with spinach, mushrooms and onion + barbacoa de Picaña and Queso fresco, which we devoured in a few minutes. For dessert we had the Cake with Queso Bola, which is basically a "tres leches" cake with queso bola on top, which was good (especially for those who are into sweet treats). At the end, by courtesy, they give you a small pretzel covered in cinnamon and sugar (it felt like a Churro).

This place was such a vibe especially for a Sunday afternoon. Food was so good our family enjoyed their meals. And service was great. Looking forward to coming back and bring my family and friends over.
I visited Casa Ramona with my girlfriend and had an excellent experience from start to finish. We were helped by Julio Reyes, who was attentive, friendly, and made us feel very welcome. The food was absolutely amazing and truly brought back memories of traditional Mexican dishes. Everything tasted authentic, well-prepared, and full of flavor. The atmosphere paired perfectly with the food, making it a great place to enjoy a meal together. Highly recommend Casa Ramona and we will definitely be coming back.
My Fellow committee suggested we have our 1st meeting if the year at this restaurant. It's absolutely wonderful in all aspects. Service, location visuals, Food Expectations. Julio Reyes took great care of all my guests and we plan on making it "Home Base" for our monthly meetings. Great Work Julio & Team!
I was reading the reviews and I am in shock. I am a very picky person, so are my teen daughters and we love this place for breakfast. The French toast is delicious, so are the chilaquiles El Patron. Love the atmosphere, is not overcrowded and they don't have super loud music. I took my coworkers there and they all loved the food. I have only been there for breakfast, and I plan on keep on going with my family and friends.

Casa Ramona Food was great. Needed American English speaker, who would be very inconstant with service. 1 order was not correct after servicer said it was okay and possible.

Upscale atmosphere with interesting unique decor. Comfy chairs. Attentive service. Not crowded for afternoon brunch. Prices reflect atmosphere and food quality. I had the chiiquilles which were good. Total cost in mid twenties.
The service was mediocre even tho we went during the Valentines rush. Definitely could have been worse but we were warned that the food would take about an hour before it would come out. Finally got our food for it to be Luke warm at best. It was delicious tho.

I was expecting more from the food. The spaghetti and mash potatoes were ok; however, the strawberries with cream were meh. I did not like the service provided by our server, less so when he was hovering over my shoulder at the moment when I was paying. I will say that the atmosphere was great, even though the ambient music was a tiny bit loud, making conversation difficult.

I had really high hopes for this place, the manager was really nice, we got seated and ordered a drink and a water and ( I wish I was lying) we waited over an hour to get our water after reminding the server numerous times. She told us after an HOUR they have no cups to serve us water in so they gave us bottled Fiji water an hour later. The food came out 2 hours later .. I understand how busy it was on a Saturday morning during brunch but the lack of attention and communication was extremely disappointing. The food itself was just okay and a little overpriced. The ambiance of the place is nice at least but unfortunately wouldn't go there for brunch again.
I’m a little torn writing this review because the food and atmosphere were genuinely great. The space was inviting, the vibe was perfect for a Valentine’s brunch, and once the food arrived, it did not disappoint. However, the wait time really overshadowed the experience. After being seated, my wife and I waited an hour and forty minutes for our food. The team present seemed all over the place and overwhelmed. We did our best to stay patient and understanding, especially given the holiday, but that kind of delay made what was meant to be a special outing feel frustrating. I truly hope management sees this and addresses whatever is causing such long wait times. The restaurant has so much going for it. With better timing and flow, it would be an easy five stars
I came here recently for brunch and I really liked the atmosphere and the staff was great but the food was surprisingly bad. When my meal arrived I was actually shocked because I expected something much nicer especially since it was pretty expensive. I ordered a salmon and avocado toast with hash browns but the hash browns were literally burned to a crisp and it was one of those cheap hash brown patties that you can get in a pack of 30 at Walmart. Even IHOP uses real hashed potatoes for their hash browns! I will definitely not be going back I'd much rather go to IHOP or Dennys for better quality food for a better price.

Pretty disappointed with how my order was handled today. I went for lunch with my wife and mother and ordered the Betuka Chicken breast. Halfway through, I found and even chewed through raw chicken. When I told the staff, they insisted on replacing it or packing it to go, which I didn’t want, I’d rather get a refund. They said they’d discount it, but only took off $5. After this experience, I won’t be coming back.

Very bad experience with our dessert! Cake was hard, frozen, (literally like eating ice) with the refrigerator flavor🤢 We asked the waiter to please change it for another different cake and to put it to go. They did gave in a bag with another piece of cake. (That’s what we thought) They literally placed the same piece of cake with the same bites, melting, with no tip that we asked to be changed. How disappointing! We paid for those 2 desserts, and they both were frozen and hard with a bad taste. Btw the manager called saying it was a new piece of cake which you can see in the picture, it’s the one we were eating.😂
I came today for my birthday and had a very bad experience. It is over hyped and so horrible customer service. The food was good but what they did to someone in the table they served the food cold on some plates and what they did, they reheated it in a microwave and you know cause the food came out super fast after we waited for a long long time. The advocacy was warm. That’s how you know they reheated it. Very bad experience to even get a drink and all. Also we ordered and the food came out wrong like the chef didn’t put the egggs in the plate. Don’t come here for a party of 5+ this is more like a party of 2. Once they know they are getting charged gratitude 20% they don’t care. You order it in the breakfast time and it’s like getting it in lunch lmao
The food is overpriced for the quality served. They added a 15% tip, and a card service charge without informing us, which is unacceptable. I also left an additional tip on the table, not knowing these charges had already been included. For the prices they charge, the portions and overall quality are not worth it. I do not recommend this restaurant.
This was, without question, one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had in quite some time. At first glance, the atmosphere gives the impression of being warm and inviting, but that quickly fades upon closer look. The tables are warped and uneven from clear neglect, weather damage, and misuse—something that should have been addressed long ago if the restaurant truly cared about the dining environment. Unfortunately, the service only amplified the disappointment. The amount of time it took just to place an order was unnecessarily long, and the wait for the food to actually arrive was even more frustrating. What should have been a relaxed brunch experience turned into an exercise in patience, with no sense of urgency or attentiveness from the staff. The quality of the food did nothing to redeem the experience. The prices charged are far from justified when compared to the lackluster flavors, mediocre presentation, and overall poor value delivered. When a restaurant promotes itself as offering the “best brunch in town,” expectations are naturally raised. Yet, what I received was the exact opposite—far from that claim and certainly not worth recommending. Overall, between the neglected environment, unreasonably slow service, and food that fails to meet even basic standards, I would strongly caution others to look elsewhere. There are far better options that respect both your time and your money.
I kept giving them the benefit of the doubt and kept coming back. The food took long with only 3 families in the restaurant. The food was COLD. No flavour on the food. Such a disappointment it had good potential to be great.

I went to celebrate my friend’s birthday and I had a very bad experience, it was very disappointing and frustrating. The service is really bad, the time waiting for the food is ridiculous and it wasn’t good at all and besides that they used other ingredients that were not on the menu, if you order something it has to be what you order from the menu and not something else, in my opinion it’s very pricey and not worth it at all. I’m not coming back that’s for sure!
From the slow apathetic service, to the comically warped tables, to the small portions of lackluster food, this place is a Must-Miss. Please respect yourself enough to not waste your time or money here. On a positive note, the decor is peaceful and relaxing, which probably helps calm down ignored customers who are angry about waiting an hour at half-pipe-shaped tables for terrible food that wasn’t even what they ordered.
