El Estofado de cordero jocoque, 4 chiles, apio, menta es imperdible, demasiado bueno. El lugar tiene ambiente, ubicación y muy buen servicio. Buen lugar para pasar un rato.

Todos los meseros son muy amables desde la llegada, la cocina es abierta así que puedes vivir la experiencia de que cocinen frente a ti, la comida tiene un gran sabor y precios justos. Pidan el cheesecake es imperdible.

Llegué después de visitar el MUNA con mucha hambre, me senté en barra: burrata con elote al carbón, grilled cheese con tocino y una michelada con pimienta blanca y jarabe de chile ancho, poco más qué decir, me echaron sopita de tomate extra para terminarme el sandwich en casa, gracias! (mucho extranjero)

Marmota es la joya de la plaza Río de Janeiro No te dejes engañar por la fachada seria y de perfil bajo. Adentro el lugar es amplio, cómodo y delicadamente decorado La cocina abierta merece mención especial, además de que si te gusta, tiene una barra pegada que te deja ver cómo preparan tus platos Buena variedad de platos, ricas ensaladas y alternativas para todo gusto. Las mollejas valen mucho la pena. No es un plato que encuentres en todos lados. Aquí son braseadas, algo también original El sándwich de queso hay q pedirlo. Abundante, sabroso con ingredientes de primera y una salsa de tomate para dipear, chopear o como te guste decirlo. Solo hazlo. El servicio es de primera, atentos y alegres Vale mucho la pena. Y los precios son muy razonables para la gran propuesta.

You absolutely must try, everything from the cocktails and wine, bread, kampachi tostada and schnitzel and 1/2 chicken were wonderful. Not to mention the service was so kind and attentive and the ambience is to die for.

Super vibey spot, with a "we do everything wood fired" ethos. The atmosphere is lovely, we were seated at a table that had a huge window next to it that faced the street, and not in a "it'll disturb you during dinner", but more in a you can people watch on the street and pass the time. We got the baby corn, wood fired oysters and the braised lamb. All were delicious. The baby corn had a creamy orange sauce, the wood fired oysters were super unique, beware that they do not taste like fresh oysters, and have a chewier texture as well as a deeper smokier taste than regular, fresh oysters. The braised lamb was fresh and tender. It was served with sourdough that had been toasted over a wood fire, that really brought out the mallard reaction and crunchiness of the toast. Would recommend!

Great place! The food is delicious and original, the staff is warm and welcoming. Special thanks to the bar staff! They made us feel super welcome and the house cocktails were incredible. Absolutely amazing! My friend and I were just walking by and the atmosphere of the place drew us in immediately. The menu looked amazing but we were totally blown away by how delicious every single dish was! We had the wood fired oysters, bone marrow, esquite burrata and snapper - highly recommend them all! The open concept kitchen was fascinating and the service was spot on - such friendly and detail oriented staff. I will be recommending this place to all my friends!

Marmota completely exceeded expectations. The steak was insanely good — perfectly char-grilled with so much flavor — and the burrata was equally amazing. I love the open kitchen concept, it adds such a great atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable for the quality, and service was attentive from start to finish. Their dinner menu is excellent and makes it an easy choice for a night out. I’ll definitely be back — highly recommend for a memorable dinner in the city.

Wow just simply wow. Just left and we.are still stunned at the quality of food and how innovative each dish was (down to the roasted harissa chicken with the crispiest skin ever). Everything was full of flavor and so many great textures. We sat at the chef's table and even that was memorable! Five star restaurant for sure. No words to describe.

I’m from Seattle so naturally when I saw a PNW inspired restaurant in Mexico City I had to check it out and I was not disappointed, it was a lovely experience. I sat solo at the bar and the bartender was wonderful (I want to say Jose(?)), I highly recommend the Cascadia cocktail. The Oxtail dinner I had was delicious too. Definitely check this spot out! Service and atmosphere was all great.

overall: 4.5/5 cocktails are yummy and not too strong. very refreshing and tasty! food: 4.2/5 everything was pretty good (brussels, tomato soup, sourdough, aguachile, oysters) there’s a slight oomph missing that would bring it to a 5. Aguachile would be better if the shrimp was cut but the shrimps are whole and raw 😮 oysters were my favorite sourdough with anchovy butter could have more anchovy flavor to it - was hoping for that stronger fish taste tomato soup was mostly dairy free and impressively creamy regardless :) brussels were well done but a bit too covered in oil at the bottom of the dish the ambience is fantastic, super cute spot where you can see all of and are connected to the kitchen. The staff are really nice and speak some english we spent about ~$1500 pesos ($73 USD) for 5 appetizers and 2 cocktails

Best food in Mexico City. Open wood furnace, open kitchen and good vibes. Best grilled cheese in town, and crab pot is amazing. Perfectly situated in the heart in Plaza de Rio de Janeiro.

I had a lunch and a dinner at Marmota in Roma Norte, thanks to a recommendation from a friend. The staff were really lovely and attentive. For lunch I had a glass of Blizzard / 2021 / Perigord / Semillion, Sauvignon Blanc with Kampachi tosdada and Wood fired cauliflower and radish. So tasty. Then finished off with a glass of Gota / 2023 / Alcarria / Tempranillo with Pavlova, marmalade and guava cream (I think). Dinner was just as good! The restaurant has an industrial vibe, smells amazing and you can watch the chef’s cooking.

Good food in general even if a bit pricey. I recommend grilled cheese even if the tomato soup had way too mucho oregano. Schnitzel tasty. Burger is okay but not really worth it. In general I think I’ll come back but more for lunch . Reservation recommended

Walked past the restaurant and decided to have a late lunch there. A real surprise, great fresh bass ceviche and shrimp aguachile that really delivered on taste. Really recommended.

Tenía muchas ganas de conocer este lugar, me lo habían recomendado mucho, especialmente por su Grilled Cheese, pero la verdad ahorita que fui, me decepcionó mucho, el grilled Cheese me pareció demasiado equis, pedí unas coliflores al horno que no me parecieron mal y un drink de Lychee que si estaba bueno, pedí un pescado que nunca llegó y como ya iban a cerrar nos quedamos sin comer. Se portaron bien en aclararlo y actuar por parte los meseros pero la comida me pareció decepcionante y no fue la experiencia que esperabamos

The one and only place in my 2 week trip in Mexico that I didn’t leave a tip. Possibly the worse service I’ve ever experienced. Thankfully, the food was incredible so it saved it slightly. I don’t want to throw anyone under the bus by exposing our waiter but not only did he straight up ignore us several times, but halfway through ordering our food, he walked off to serve someone else. I said “excuse me, we were trying to order” to which he walked off and served someone else AGAIN. The staff seemed more interested in serving the larger tables. A shame because the food was so good that if the service was better, we would’ve given a generous tip.

Honestly, it wasn’t my favorite food experience, it just wasn’t to my taste. The flavors felt unbalanced. The cauliflower dish was overly smoky, spicy, and sour all at once, which made it hard to enjoy. The grilled cheese was okay but had an odd aftertaste. The highlight for me was definitely the parmesan fries, those were delicious. The restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere with an open-kitchen concept, but the food takes a while to prepare, so I’d recommend ordering appetizers while you wait.

Sobrevalorado... Demasiado sal. Ensalada con mucho (mucho) vinagre. Cordero seco. Ribey grasoso. Lo único que salvó la cena es el cocktail y la atención.

Place is located in a pretty nice area of CDMX. The big stone table in the center, the open kitchen and the industrial vibe are the only pluses I can give to the place. However, the menu is pretty poor, the food was quite overpriced and mid, and worst of all the staff was standoffish and downright rude. We were asked for a reservation despite the place being almost empty, and the waiter was pretty impatient. Overall I’d recommend finding much better local choices. This place aims to give off a modern and unique vibe, but they come off snobbish and mediocre.
