Después de varias opciones que teníamos en mente elegimos este maravilloso sitio y menos mal. Sus camareros MUY amables y siempre atentos dándonos sus recomendaciones y todo un acierto. Visitamos el Guachinche “La Maestra” en Tenerife. El local es espacioso, con buen aparcamiento y ambiente agradable. Pedimos entrantes para compartir, pollo a la brasa y bichillo, y postres , todo muy sabroso, servido con atención y buen ritmo. La relación calidad-precio nos pareció excelente. Lo recomiendo tanto para familias como para grupos de amigos. Volveremos seguro!!

We visit La Maestra every year during our Christmas and New Year's holidays. This year, we were treated to a special experience on January 1st. We forgot to make a reservation and still managed to find a good table in the packed restaurant, which was full of locals. The service was, as always, friendly and attentive, and the food was of the usual high quality. Besides the numerous typical appetizers, the quality of the meat dishes deserves special mention. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, medium-rare, and tasted excellent once again. The delicious dessert rounded off the visit perfectly. Highly recommended; we will definitely be back.

A really busy restaurant with excellent food at very good prices. Large portions of delicious food. Highly recommend. You might have to book a table or wait a short time if you just turn up. The restaurant probably seats 250 people but service is very efficient once you have a table. Used by locals which is always a good sign.

Elias was brilliant! The service of all staff and Elias’ recommendations were amazing, and the food was incredible as always! We shared two lovely starters, picked out a huge steak and were able to finish it off how we wanted at the table, and finished off with a beautiful cheesecake! A perfect dinner date spot!

Fantastic local spot, extremely welcoming staff, Elias couldn't do more to make us feel at home despite being extremely busy with one table having 20 people! Don't be deterred as a tourist, this is a great place to try some local home style food.

I was always told that the best guachinches were in the north of the island, it is true that it is not a typical guachinche but rather a so-called modern guachinche, however it was very good, good attention, good service in general and exquisite food. Very clean, organized and fast. We are totally satisfied!

Whilst searching on Google I happened to come across this restaurant and decided to try. I was so glad I did. This restaurant is definitely for the locals which i love and appreciate. As a solo traveller and speaking very little Spanish. The staff were very welcoming and accomadating and took very good care of me. Be prepared the portions are very big so there is no chance you will go hungry. The ingredients are of quaily, the food is freshly prepared and cooked to perfection. Service is very efficient I went both during the weekday (fairly quite easy to be seated) and weekend queue was out the door. Both times service was excellent. I will definitely return anytime I'm in Tenerife.

We went here for lunch before going to the airport to head home. What a great place! Really great service, friendly, happy and enthusiastic. The menu is great and very reasonably priced. The food came quickly and was absolutely amazing. My wife had the beef cheek which was super tender. I had the sirloin which was cooked to perfection - medium rare. It seems a lot of locals eat here which is a good sign in my view. We were amazed at how quickly it filled up after opening at 1pm. Would highly recommend!

Fabulous place. Very welcoming. Superb croquettas and tempura verduras (in a fantasic bacon-based sauce) to start. Unbelievably tender and flavoursome steak ( and I’ve tried hundreds of steaks over the years), a fantastic dessert of baileys chocolate strawberry jus cream and caramel. And a great readonably priced brandy to finish. Go and eat here. Lucas and crew will look after you very well. And it’s only a short journey on the bus from Golf del Sur.

Si buscas un guachinche auténtico, de los de verdad, La Maestra es una parada obligatoria. La comida está bien, con ese sabor a cocina de casa que ya cuesta encontrar. Destaco especialmente el queso asado, los garbanzos y, por supuesto, la carne fiesta. Además, las vistas desde la zona son preciosas y el trato del personal te hace sentir como en familia. Relación calidad-precio insuperable. ¡Volveremos sin duda!

Es un sitio bastante grande con muchas mesas, te atienden bien y rápido y hay aparcamiento. La comida no está mal, pagamos 51€ por una ensalada, un cachopo y medio pollo con papas, bebidas y pan. Éramos 3 adultos y un bebé.

Establecimiento muy amplio con mucha disponibilidad de aparcamiento. Comida tipica canaria y carnes a la brasa. Pedimos una ensalada, queso asado, papas arrugas, secreto y solomillo. Buen lugar ubicado en Las Chafiras de fácil acceso. Consejo: para almorzar llega sobre las 13:00 h ya que más tarde tendrás que esperar si es fin de semana o festivo. No es un Guachinche auténtico pero tiene un buen servicio y la comida es muy rica. Los camareros muy amables y atienden muy rápido. Recomendable 100%

Food was good a bit higher than other places. Drinks are expensive. Big open space and gets very noisy when it fills up.. when we arrived it was not busy. The waiting staff were not overly attentive and waited a while for drinks order. Would return but know other places with very similar food near by with better service and value for money.

Service from the waiters was good and fast and they were also nice to us with jokes and laughing. The location is beautiful and big but also loud and smoky. It is the concept of the place because it is about serving meat, so I do understand that, but at some point it was smelling like smoke a lot and the place got foggy. The food was pretty good and came fast as well. The manager at the checkout was a bit grumpy, he wasn't really nice to explain to us how we should pay the bill. In the end we figure it out for ourselves with our friends. I think you can just be a little nicer when it is about to explain something to your guests and make a smile to them when they ask you in a polite and respectful way. In the end everything is for the place where you work and the atmosphere that you give to the people. I Hope in the future it will be better. Thank you for everything anyway!

I ordered garlic prawns (gambas al ajillo...) Unfortunately the prawns were served uncleaned despite my request..so I had to attempt to clean the langostines myself..Obviously it was a no no ..Nic…

Me siento estafada. Llame para encargar un pollo y papas fritas , me dijeron 15 minutos , todo bien hasta aquí , recojo la comida le digo al camarero que vengo a buscar un pollo y papas, 13€ , todo bien hasta aquí , miro la bolsa para comprobar que está el recipiente del pollo y las papas pero no lo abro (uno piensa que todo está correcto y que ellos han hecho bien su trabajo ) para mi sorpresa cuando llego a mi casa me quedo a cuadros mirando el recipiente del pollo , trozos de pollo con un par de papas y un trozo de limón, es que ni siquiera se puede considerar medio pollo ( que eso lo hubiera entendido porque un error lo tiene cualquiera) pero realmente no entendí que es lo que me habían vendido , vamos que de 1 pollo sacan 4 bandejas de esas y las venden , me he sentido estafada y decepcionada .Las fotos hablan por sí solas , era para haber vuelto al restaurante y reclamar ,pero no disponía de tiempo para ello. Lo que está claro que más nunca pediré más nada y menos iré allí.

No soy de publicar reseñas negativas, pero está vez no puedo no hacerlo, está claro que la opinión es subjetiva por cada persona como el hecho de que la gente grite y hayan millones de moscas hay gente que eso le moleste y a otras que no, pero bueno os cuento, no saqué fotos por la decepción tanto de la presentación como de la ensalada en si, pedimos para picar queso con mermelada que jamás llegó, batata con almogrote que estaba muy rica pero decidí llevarla a casa después de darle un par de cucharadas pq sabía que la ensalada me iba a llenar, segunda decepción la ensalada chafiras no es ni sombra de lo que era tiempo atrás ahora por 14€ es la mitad, el tomate verde pero verde que no se podía ni cortar con cuchillo de sierra y no estoy exagerando, tomates cherris arrugados y pasados, pepino con un color raro y un sabor ácido, el aguacate negro como mi alma, el pollo rebozado era más rebozado que pollo horrible😔 no exagero me fastidia no haber sacado fotos, pero repito no era mi intención publicar mi reseña no iba con esa intención, mi marido había ido la semana pasado y siempre se pide un bistec de cerdo aquel día finito rico, pero hoy gordo y lleno de sebo, no se pq no se dan cuidan esos detalles básicos, siempre q me gusta un lugar terminan cambiando la cocina no sé si para economizar o por qué bueno hoy nos tocó así, pero claro uno sale a disfrutar y se paga lo q se tenga q pagar per haber tirado 50€ a la basura me duelen, al final terminamos y el camarero me pregunta y le comenté, pero no hizo mucho caso, nos fuimos y al llegar a casa muerta de hambre dije bueno me como la batata con el almogrote y es a lo único que le he podido sacar foto pq me lo estoy comiendo quitando la batata negra que está apareciendo a cada mordisco, de verdad que lo siento aunque no creo que esto sirva para que cambien mucho, me da pena pq es un sitio al que no volveré tampoco es que los perjudique pues ese lugar se llena muchísimo y me parece fenomenal, mi intención no es que deje de ir la gente es que lo lea la persona que puede hacer que la cocina no empeore sino que siempre sea igual o mejor, gracias

Unfortunately, our visit was disappointing. The steak I ordered was raw in the middle. When we mentioned it, the staff offered to cook it more, even though the issue should never have happened in the first place. They also declined to remove it from the bill. A mistake can happen, but how it’s handled matters—and in this case, it wasn’t handled well.

The steak I was served was raw, not undercooked—raw. When we pointed this out, the staff’s response was to offer to cook it more after the fact, rather than acknowledging the mistake. Even more frustrating, they refused to remove it from the bill. This level of food quality and customer service is unacceptable. I won’t be returning.

Very disappointing experience. I ordered a steak that arrived completely raw in the center. When we brought this to the staff’s attention, instead of removing it from the bill, they suggested they could “cook it a little bit more” after we had already cut into it and realized it was raw. Serving raw meat is unacceptable, and the lack of accountability afterward made it worse. We were still charged for the dish, which felt unfair given the situation. Unfortunately, this experience has put us off returning.

Scotch&Soda

The food was mediocre at best. We ordered the octopus which was one little tentacle super dry and hard and it was very expensive. The meat that we order was all drown in a white source that you couldn’t even taste the meat. The cachopo was really oily and we couldn’t even eat it. We order some one of the house but at the end I had to order a beer because it was undrinkable. Also the ambient looks like you’re in a hospital with squared office neon white lights, it looks like the place was used as an office before and they didn’t even bother change anything. The only positive thing is that there is a big car park and the service was actually good
