This is a gorgeous venue that I didn't know it existed! My niece had her wedding/reception held here. Lots of train history, plus a cool cigar bar downstairs. Many photo opportunities all over the place. The dinner was catered by the venue and the food was great! Mike was a pleasure to deal with and made sure that everything went smoothly.

Absolutely incredible experience. They are not open regular business hours but more for events such as weddings. However they do have a monthly special wine dinner where the owner showcases rare wines and pairs them with an absolutely delicious 4 or 5 course meal. It is not just a special night out or just dinner but an experience. You should really try it, you will dine on intensely delicious food, incredible wine, all while making new friends. The owner Joey is great and gives you everything he has on this special night and I am sure for any special event you have coming up.

What a lovely experience! The food, the atmosphere, the wine, all so good and carefully created! Lovely staff that worked well together and felt like family. Highly recommend!

This restored warehouse is a fun and unique venue for weddings/events! We had a spectacular time at a wedding this past weekend. Set up well for a wedding with only a few choke points in the space, it hosted the event quite nicely. There is a vintage train car set up in the space, which was perfect for the cookie table, a photo booth, and a nice place to cool off for a moment from the dance floor. Overall, enjoyed the wedding immensely and would recommend your event for this space!

The staff at Di Salvo's, especially Michael Fossati (the catering and banquet manager at Di Salvo's) are absolutely wonderful, and did a fantastic job of making our wedding reception date as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. Mike guided my fiancé and I through a pandemic wedding, addressed concerns for the several people who attended who were so afraid for their safety (but wanted to come anyway to celebrate our special day), and even provided dietary accommodations with ease. And the day of our reception (after a postponed date due to COVID)... I've never seen faster, smoother service. Each course was delivered and taken away with ease, and Mike even had a money bag ready for the money dance when we didn't have one! They made a very stressful event so much less so than I had been anticipating. I would definitely have our wedding reception at Di Salvo's Station Restaurant again!

Beautiful place! I never knew this place was here! So authentic! You think the train is going to come through the station! One can actually board a train to see what they were like. I loved it there. I will get to eat at the restaurant sometime. It looks amazing

First visit & it was for my cousin's wedding. The entire evening was perfect. Food was delicious.

Tasty Sunday brunch. Extremely courteous and friendly staff. Very interesting venue in a old train station with an active train stop above us. Neat feeling as a freight train rumbled above us whilst in the tunnel.

We were so happy with the Thanksgiving brunch. We were able to add a group to our party, the service was delightful and the turkey was juicy and flavorful. The youngest member of the family was celebrating his 5th birthday today, and a special dessert and candle were provided for him. The whole experience could not have been better!

We just happened to Google restaurants and found this when we were in the area. We got there as it opened and walking through those doors... What a WOW factor when we got inside!!! Their server was running late so we were actually served by the chef!!! I do not remember his name, bit he was fantastic and so much fun! He gave us a tour of the train and the cigar lounge and took our pictures and served us excellent food!! We will definitely be back!!!

We just had our wedding here this weekend and I can’t say any bad things about it. Mike, the wedding coordinator, was always readily available and willing to answer any question no matter how crazy. The food was great, the atmosphere was great and I can’t thank them enough for making our special day so great.

Great atmosphere, great food and great staff!! The ambiance of this location is different and makes a one of a kind place. From the restaurant to the cigar bar, you can not go wrong spending time for a wonderful meal to relocating downstairs for cocktails and some lounging. If you haven't been here yet, I fully suggest checking it out.

I love to visit Latrobe. It is a classic American small town and Di Salvos is always on my list to have dinner. As part of the old train station, it has a feel and hominess of the 1950's with an upscale vibe. The food has never disappointed. I have been served at all hours of the day in my years visiting, never a bad meal with a super staff!

Great railroad atmosphere of days long gone! Incredible staff, worked so hard to be sure we wanted for nothing. And food wad plentiful and delicious.

This is a Gem with such history and unique surroundings and several different dinning options. Would you like to dine in vintage and authentic dining rail car. Well this is here. You can even hear the trains as they travel on the rails that are on the roof above the dining area. You also want to take a look at the cigar bar that is located downstairs via the brick spiral staircase. Great venue for private parties and weddings. The food is great with quite a variety to choose from. Just call ahead to make a reservation, no tickets needed.

After my fiance and I got engaged in December 2017, we only visited one potential reception venue--DiSalvo's! Upon stepping inside and meeting with Mike, the Wedding Coordinator, we were certain we had found "the place!" Not only is the setting beautiful, requiring only minimal outside decorations, but the food is incredible! We were shocked to discover how affordable the venue was! Mike was extremely accommodating and helpful--he alone is worth the cost of the venue! When we came in a few times for meals prior to the wedding, he was kind and attentive to our families, which made them so happy! He always went out of his way to come say hello, and no matter how many emails I sent with questions he answered quickly and patiently. We came to set up for the reception the Wednesday evening before, and Mike was there to assist. He made the process so smooth, and his vision for how things should be set up was incredible, too! What could have been a stressful night ended up being a lot of fun! On the day of the wedding, Mike again came through. Despite a few last minute menu change requests/cancelled guests, things were handled perfectly. Mike was patient with all guests, and helped ease tensions when we were late coming from photos off-site for the start of the reception. We believe we were provided a few extra food items in the cocktail hour, too, as a result, which is also amazing! Further, because we had so many out of town guests Mike asked his staff to set up the cookie table for us, which is not normally included, and restocked it throughout the reception. Staff also helped with cleanup, and packed everything up for us to easily pick up the next day. I am thrilled that we chose DiSalvo's--Mike truly made our day special, and I will never forget it. I will recommend them to everyone I know looking for a wedding venue, and look forward to many meals in the restaurant in the future!

We went to the Cigar Bar. We love that place. Enjoy a cigar and a drink or two and relax. Waitress/Bar Tenders are very attentive and friendly. Great place to visit. Food upstairs is great!

Visiting family in Latrobe from NJ. Not being familiar with any restaurants, we picked The Station and were not disappointed. We ordered dishes for 5 adults as takeout and every dish was fantastic. My husband and daughter were given a tour and were amazed at the restaurant as well as the friendly staff. Kudos to The Station!! Wish we didn't live 350 miller away.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with DiSalvo's. One of my best friends is getting married and I was looking for somewhere to have her shower, which we had today. Mike was incredibly responsive to every single email and phone call I had (and there were a lot). He was incredibly organized and he made the shower a breeze. I was absolutely blown away by the service we received today, every single member of the staff was friendly and helpful (especially Angela) and the food was delicious and worth the money we spent on it. Disalvo's helped make my friend's shower special and I cannot thank them enough!

I had my wedding ceremony, reception and after party at DiSalvo’s. From the second I booked, I knew my husband and I were in good hands. Mike was professional, yet warmly personal, throughout the whole process. He paid attention to every little detail, often reminding me of little things I didn’t even think of. His day of demeanor was calm, cool, and collected, helping the day run flawlessly. The venue was stunning and the food was exquisite. We had many guests telling us how good the food was throughout the night. If you’re debating booking, I’d highly recommend DiSalvo’s!

I've gone to DiSalvo's Station for years. Their food has always been good. These days they're only open for events. I got married there a few years ago... and I attended another wedding there last night. The food was still good and the decor is historic / vintage. It's an old train station... so there's alot of train decor with a real train car in the station. It's a really cool and unique place to visit.

My husband and I just had our wedding here and everything was PERFECT! The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. The food was out-of-this-world delicious! And Mike was amazing when it came to coordinating everything. We made a lot of requests and they were able to do every single one. All of our guests had an amazing time as well. The venue is also BEAUTIFUL! I would recommend here for anyone looking for a venue :)

I was fortunate enough to be part of a wedding that had the reception here. It is truly beautiful, the place has a photo opportunity around every corner! The staff were all smart, helpful, friendly, and efficient. And the food really was out of this world! And I would really like to say, that the bartenders were excellent. No one at this wedding got sloppy drunk but everyone was still in good spirits thanks to them! I can't say enough great things about my experience here.

Great food, excellent wine fabulous place. I do not like cigars but if you do they have a huge selection downstairs. All inclusive cost is about $150 which includes a tip. We had scallops as an appetizer, a fantastic soup, lobster tail, lamb and desertas well as at least 5 glasses of wine. I think we had something else to eat also.

We had our wedding here and it was fantastic. The food was amazing. Everyone was very professional and we had no issues or hiccups. We've also been here for dinner multiple times and had exceptional experiences. They are very professional and everything is done the correct way. No cutting corners. The food is awesome and the waitstaff really knows what they're doing. We'll be coming back soon.

Beautiful venue. Eclectic, formal old fashion vibes, classy. Delicious food and a wide variety at the bar. They put on wonderful events. The staff and service is top notch. The management truly cares for their guests and work incredibly hard to ensure that they have an excellent experience. Thanks a million for hosting such a great event for me.

Brunch was great! We had about a dozen or so family members meet here for a spur-of-the-moment meal. Love the old train setup. They were getting ready for a baby shower in the old caboose and the decorations and lighting looked fabulous!

DiSalvo's Station is that hidden gem in Westmoreland County, Latrobe, Pa. My daughter and son in law had the wedding of their dreams there this past weekend. Mike was the best to work with and was always around to answer questions or just give advice. I would highly recommend DiSalvo's to anyone. The venue was so cozy and everyone loved the cookie table they arranged for us in the train car. The food was delicious! Thank you to the wait staff for carrying dinner plates back to the tables from the buffet. So many people told us they never seen that at any other venue. I would give them a 10 star rating!

The decor of this restaurant is excellent. The restaurant is huge as it is the old latrobe train station. The decor is filled with train items and they even have a train car inside the restaurant which you can dine on. I would give 5 stars for the theme and also the service as well which was very good. The reason I gave it 4 was because of the food, it was good just not 5 stars.

Super cool restaurant! Went for Valentine's Day and they had a limited menu (to be expected) - looking forward to going back for a non-holiday dinner.

An excellent wedding venue, with an old time feel. The desert train car was a great concept, and food was great even for a wedding. I will say for larger wedding parties it can be hard to get a view upfront because of the sectioned seating. It can be hard to see dance floor and entire wedding party. I would still highly recommend this venue for smaller wedding parties

I truly wish I had wonderful things to say about this restaurant as it is only 1/2 block away from my home. Unfortunately, I do not. I'll begin with good things: the decor is beautiful and the food is very good. The service, however is deplorable. The main dining area is very large, but one evening I was there the hostess, who was also the waitress chose to seat us directly at the waiters station by the kitchen entrance. We asked to be moved and she reluctantly did so. From then on, she had and "attitude" about everything, making our experience quite unpleasant. On another visit, the restaurant seemed to be filled with patrons who brought their toddlers and babies. It seemed more like dining in a day care center than a fine restaurant. We walked out that evening. While it is not the establishments fault what clientele walk in the door, I refuse to pay exorbitant prices and not be able to have the expected fine dining experience. It would seem that the only prior experience the wait staff had was at a McDonalds! The prices are way too high for the dining experience offered. I'm sad to say that DiSalvos has been nothing but a disappointment for me every time I have visited.

I recently had my wedding here and I cannot give enough credit to Mike for all of the work he did. He was available and accommodating at every stage of planning. The venue was just gorgeous. So many of my guests mentioned the unique decor and set up. We barely had to decorate as the venue was already set up with beautiful twinkle lights, greenery, and the train car. The tables and chairs were set up quickly without issue. The food was wonderful, warm, and the buffet allowed guests to eat within their dietary needs. Staff cleared down the decorations and packed everything neatly so we had nothing to worry about the next day. Overall, the day was very near perfect and we will always cherish our day at DiSalvo's. It would be unfair to new couples not to mention several drawbacks that we felt dampened the day a bit. We were told that we would be able to have the cigar lounge and bar until 1 AM. The bartender, a dark-haired server, was hasty, rude, and closed the bar at a few minutes after 10 PM. We were still ordering drinks when she said that it was her last call. We felt very rushed to leave. Family and guests ended up going to a local bar until 1 AM, instead of being able to stay in the cigar lounge as promised (and paid for). In the cigar lounge, there was a green liquid running from the ceiling to the floor. I had to lift my dress to avoid stains. When I informed staff, they simply walked away. It was never cleaned up and a bridesmaid ended up with whatever it was on her dress. Lastly, our bartender, tall, reddish brown hair, for the night was intoxicated. Several guests made comments to me through the night. I witnessed the behavior myself and it was unacceptable. It became increasingly worse as the night went on, to the point where he was attempting to pour wine with the cap still on it, and pre-mixing drinks and leaving them at the bar so he didn't have to attend to guests. Again, I do not place any of the blame for these issues on Mike, he was a saint. We still had an absolutely magical day and we hope that many couples to come experience the joy and ease of having a wedding at DiSalvo's.

Very good food. We all ordered pasta dishes and I had the seafood linguine special. Great sauce and nice portions. My wife & son enjoyed theirs too. Also, staff was friendly, and our waitress was very attentive. I also loved the railroad station ambience. My only complaint is that the restaurant was a bit drafty and chilly. I suppose it’s a difficult environment to heat due to the spaciousness and brick/stone surfaces. However, I was fine with a sweater.

This place had excellent food and an excellent atmosphere. Went here for the breakfast brunch with Santa. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. There wasn't an item my family and I tried that wasn't delicious. The only problem i had was the brunch said that my two year old would not be charged, but she still was. Other then this it was a fantastic meal and highly recommend. Just check your receipt and don't make the same mistake i did by not checking before paying.

Wait staff was excellent. Our main entrees were good. Two out of the four appetizers we ordered we're okay. The muscles were really really salty and the stuffed hot banana peppers the sausage didn't taste right. Overall experience was excellent and really nice atmosphere.

So if I could give stars for ambiance and charm this place would be five plus stars. Unfortunately there are some issues. I am not reviewing the restaurant, but the cigar bar. First the cigar bar has everything I want in a cigar bar. A great cigar selection, friendly staff, great drinks and a lounge that is comfortable. After enjoying my cigar I ordered dinner which was good not great, my wife did not enjoy her soup at all. In addition, the staff would disappear and at one point I had to locate because after my meal they never returned. They need staff to check in more frequently. This is a great place to smoke a great cigar and enjoy a well made drink and soak up the charm of the lounge. I will definitely visit again, not sure I will eat there again. Disalvo’s station is a great asset to Latrobe. I hope they can maintain the restaurant because it is full of charm and ambiance

Very cool concept putting a restaurant in the old train station. Was there for a wedding. The food was good, the train car offered a unique atmosphere for a cookie table. However, bathrooms were tiny, and the layout for the reception seating was cramped and obstructed in certain places for viewing the bridal party entrances, dancing, etc. Wouldn't mind just having a meal there though. Cool atmosphere.

I've had mixed experiences here. For Valentine's the train car dining was very nice. The food was great and came with good portions. The risotto might've been the best I've ever had. One of the owners acted as our waiter which was very nice. What wasn't as nice was when I ordered a bottle of wine a certain bottle was offered, which we purchased, but the price was not announced. Given the environment it felt inappropriate to ask, however the waiter really should have brought out a wine list and pointed it out to verify that I knew the price. The bottle was not very excessively priced, but it did make me a little nervous until the check arrived. Something that was a huge turn off was the included 20% gratuity for our group of 2. I should be able to choose my gratuity or it really should be included in the price as it was a fixed price dinner. This gratuity amount leads to a rather large tip on a $200+ dinner. The service was good, but if each of the three tables the waiter was working were forced into a $40 tip, then the waiter was making $120/hr. Mr. Di Salvo should try not to leave his customers feeling like they were fleeced on the way out the door over a few bucks in tips. Most times I've gone here otherwise have been good, however last time I was in the room with the model train there were some issues. The model train was having issues. There was a stain on the wall from water damage. I was served seafood that tasted like iodine and that the staff admitted was bad and would be thrown out. I was offered an alternative entree, which would arrive after everyone else's food, but there was no reduction on my bill for the inconvenience.

We go for Thanksgiving almost every year. This year it seemed like they didn't even try. Beef and ham both tough, turkey was decent. Some of the items on the hot bar I had no idea what they were as nothing was labeled! Lastly I went up to get my grandma a piece of chocolate cake only to find mold on the bottom. I took it to the manager and he took it and said thanks. No sorry about that or anything. After a few minutes he did come and take the rest off the dessert table at least.

D
Debby Martin

Portions were huge, and the atmosphere was wonderful. However, the chicken was very salty! I like to season with salt myself. The pasta was a little too dry. More marinara sauce would have been nice.

N
Nick Myers

My wife and I went for Sunday brunch. The food was mediocre at best. It tasted like left over wedding food from the night prior. I won't be eating their brunch again. However, if you're not hungry and just want to get your drink on and smoke some cigars. This place is great for that. They have a large selection of good scotches, and a very large humidor in the basement lounge.

D
David Rebar

Over rated and over priced kibble. $18 for an Iceberg Lettuce salad, they couldn't even use spring mix or at least Romaine. I can buy a WHOLE CASE of Iceberg lettuce for less. Sparse toppings. It was supposed to be a grilled chicken salad, but they must have run out as there was less than 4 ounces of chicken in the whole salad. The previous owners had much better atmosphere, food and service. Service was mediocre at best, couldn't keep my water or beer full. We had to practically beg for service and a second drink. Never again! I always heard good things, but was sorely disappointed.
