Exactly what you want from a Tex-Mex restaurant. Good food selection, fast service, everything tastes great. We came on a Sunday right after church and were sat right away. Our server got our drink orders immediately and they came out quick. Got our food order immediately and it was also super fast. Not only that, it all tastes great. My first time here so I got the sampler to try a bit of it all • Beff fajita quesadillas • Beef fajita Nachos • Jalapeño Poppers • Ground Beef Flautitas • Queso Bowl All delicious! Prices are a little on the higher side ($20 for the app and $16.99 for a plate) Service was great: observant but unintrusive. Will be back soon!
We’ve been coming to Jardin’s for many years. It’s our favorite spot in town for Mexican food. All of the staff is wonderful and friendly. The food is great and the prices are very fair. Portion sizes are good! Today we had Marco as our waiter and he gave us excellent service. We’ll be back soon!
Really good Mexican cuisine. Big portion of food and fantastic service. And $2 lunch beer even better.
Sorry I didn't take any pics. Due to the winter storm we did take-out. The 5 different items were excellent and everyone made raving comments. We will be back.
Our favorite spot. If you’re looking for a nostalgic Tex mex restaurant that has great prices and tasty food - this is the spot. Killer margs too. Very family friendly
I got a prompt for the restrooms. I didn't take special note of the condition, so it must have been fine. I was traveling out of town, so I was happy to see it. The decorations are nice and I enjoyed the vibrant colors. The service was very good. I got my favorite carne guisada. I had never seen it with peas and carrots, but that was a nice addition. The meat was tender. The beans were very delicious! I would have preferred a bit more gravy and a little more spice, but it's not traditionally a spicy dish. I'm not sure when I'll be back to that town, but when I am I'll be sure to stop.
I love this place! I just moved onto the area with my family, and we were looking for a local Mexican restaurant to meet our needs! We have found it in Jardin Del Rey! The Fajitas are super delicious, and there is plenty of food! My wife got the Enchiladas Suizas and loves it! Come try it!
Was craven some Mexican food and decided to try this place out. The menu is huge with a lot of variety. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful making sure the chips/salsa and water was always full. We really enjoyed the food, it was very flavorful with just the right amount of spice. They are very heavy on the cheese on thier food which is great if your a cheese person. We plan to go back and try out thier margaritas next time! Overall I would recommend this place for anyone who's interested in trying Mexican food in this little town.
Me and my husband were craving really good Mexican food even though I had prepared dinner. Decided to try Jardin Del Rey as we had never been there and was only 11 mins from our place. From the minute we walked in they were friendly. The waitress was really nice and very friendly. Service was also quick. The chips and salsa were excellent. I ordered Vegetarian fajitas and my husband ordered Pechuga Gratinada a Parilla. My fajitas came with veggies(onions, carrots, zucchini, poblanos and mushrooms), sour cream, guacamole, rice, beans and 3 tortillas. Food was hot and extremely delicious. We will definitely be back to try more dishes and also the desserts. They have a couple of other vegetarian options too.

Absolutely the best mexican food and great Margaritas. Best chips and salsa in town. This is where I go for comfort.

DELICIOUS! Got the grande margarita with raspberry and it was delicious. Some of the best tres leches in town. Very happy, will be back.
The pollo tequila is always a great choice. The charro beans are incredibly delicious. The chips and salsa are the best in town. I will always love Jardin Del Rey.

Very decent tex mex restaurant. At most tex mex restaurants you tend to get your food very fast, but this may be the fastest I've ever seen. Seriously, come hungry, because as soon as you order, you get your food in a couple minutes, the kitchen is definitely on top of their game. The menu is vast, with just about any tex mex fare you could want, and the prices are reasonable, but not cheap per se. The food is commendable, I got the fajita mix dinner combo which has enough fajita meat for a couple large tacos, a crispy taco, a cheese enchilada, and guacamole and queso tostada on the side. Good deal for 15.99. Service is extremely friendly and attentive. They have great lunch and drink specials during the week.
This place was fresh! It’s not a fancy restaurant but it is homey and cozy. It will hit the spot if you’re looking for Tex mex. The meat tasted a little old/gamey. Not sure how else to describe it. Like it was sitting out for awhile. But nonetheless the fajitas were great! We got the app sampler too.
Summary: super nice staff, yummy food, awesome chips and salsa. Details: we went here because a local recommended it. Parking is plentiful in the rear. Seating is limited on busy nights. If you have little ones, ask for a kids meal. It comes with a drink and the meal itself isn't huge like other "kids meals" at other places.

Fajitas are 1 out of 5. Tortillas are from HEB. Not sure where the cheese and guac come from. Charge for a bag of Crushed chips and salsa. That's the last time there. Game over.
Oh Jardin Del Rey. My once go to spot has disappointed me and the family. My Mexican Martini was not up to par, very watered down. The food has lost its authenticity. The chips are still served war…

I came here during a slower time, saw the sign pulled in to give it a try. The menu is a little hard to read as it's tiny print and the dining room was dimly lit. I ordered a Burrito and a side of Sour cream, the server was really attentive and friendly. The food however was not good at all I took two bites of the Burrito and the Beef was dry and old tasting. I probably won't be back again.
Hit or miss. We have been coming here for many years and overall the food is good. The fajitas for two are our go to. There Mexican plates are hit or miss. Sometimes good, sometimes avg at best.

That was awful. I went with 2 other people and all of our food was really not good. I had a cheese enchilada and it wasn’t melted but tasted like it came out of a microwave. We all agreed we won’t go back. They got the mole and tacos. I tasted all. Just bad.
I visited Jardín del Rey in Leander for breakfast and ordered the carnitas and eggs plate. Honestly, it was just okay — I’d rate it about a 3 or 4 out of 10. Maybe it’s because I’m from San Antonio, but the Mexican food here just doesn’t hit the same. The tortillas tasted store-bought (like Taco Bell style), which is a big deal for me since homemade tortillas make all the difference. Beans were okay, potatoes were few, eggs were cooked right, but the carnitas were a little dry and lacking flavor. Service was fine overall, but I wouldn’t go back.
First time here with family, wife got the Pollo Vallena almost no chicken on it, weird volcano looking thing with mostly cheese 😅 the shrimp were tough. I got the enchilada shrimps same thing, shrimps were chewy and over cooked. First bad impression, considering it's always seem to a crowded place. Service was fine.

This was the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. It was the first time that I had the feeling of eating something “disgusting”, chicken was bland, it felt like it came out of a can, we ordered 2 plates and we couldn’t eat any of it. Food came out very fast like less than 15 min, probably because of premade ingredients. All of the cheeses is just like liquid nacho cheese and the enchilada was horrible, filled with fake cheese, I don’t even know what that was… It was sad wasting money and food, we left hungry.
Got the combo fajitas, all the meat was overcooked. The shrimp were chewy, and the pork was gelatinous. I don't even know how else to describe that. The service we had was terrible and this is coming from 2 servers that were sitting at this table, one of us had been in the business for almost 30 years. One of the worst experiences I've ever had in a restaurant since I moved to Austin. The only thing that was worth eating was the queso. And we came at a slow time during the day. There wasn't a whole lot of people in there. Our server basically ignored us. I barely saw him. I saw him 3 times when he took the meal. When he delivered it And then when we asked for the check, we sat with no drinks for a while.Ran out of salsa because the food was not good enough for us to keep eating it.
I ordered enchiladas suizas. The tortillas were flour. I dont like my enchiladas with flour tortillas and the waiter did not ask if i wanted flour or corn. I ate two bites. My server never asked if everything was alright especially when the main course was virtually untouched... Basic customer service stuff right? Anyway I checked the menu when I got home as I was still unhappy that I paid $15+ for beans and rice . I see now the description is enchiladas with corn tortillas. WTH? I came to this restaurant because a few reviews were good. I was looking forward to some good texmex. I'm in town volunteering to help with the cleanup after the flood. Guess I picked the wrong restaurant!! 😕
