Adorei a experiência e voltarei muitas vezes!
Top 3 meal of my trip! Pricey but worth it. I had the Asun and the Delta. Everything was freshly made and extremely flavorful. Thank you to the amazing ladies who prepared our meal I can’t wait to go back.
Rhythm and roots is exactly that, rhythm with roots! The vibe is immaculate, the atmosphere is warm, inviting and the service is amazing! Then let's talk about the food! The food! The food is why I went and that's where you get taken back to the roots! I was in Lisbon and needed a taste of home and rhythm and roots did NOT disappoint! I had jollof rice on my first night there and my gosh! The plantain was perfect and the sauce was even better! After the first taste, I couldn't stay away and went back the next night for Pounded Yam and egusi and when I tell you that I didn't even remember to take a picture because of how absolutely delicious it was! 10s across the board! If you're in Lisbon and looking to get a taste of home and just banging African cuisine, Rhythm and Roots is your Go-to, I promise!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely loved my experience at Rhythm & Roots Lisbon! The food was outstanding—full of bold, vibrant flavors and clearly made with care. Every dish we tried was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. What really sets this place apart, though, is the staff. They were warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. You can feel the positive energy the moment you walk in. From the welcoming atmosphere to the incredible service, everything was top-notch. If you’re in Lisbon and looking for an unforgettable Nigerian meal, Rhythm & Roots is a must. Loved it so much I doubled back twice, make sure to try the Asun!!!!
Food was 10/10 portions really good staff was very good, chef is an Igbo woman we ordered the ayamese egusi and jollof it was very good and generous portion and worth the price.
The food was excellent. You have to try the “owambe”, and don’t leave out the efo riro. Not your typical Naija restaurant. Top notch service (give it up for Mario). Very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Ambience is great with soft Afro music in the background. Had a pleasure to meet the proprietor, nice and professional person. Will definitely recommend this place. Check it out if you’re in town.
A must try....was pleasantly surprised...We enjoyed our dinner here with very friendly staff.
Good job
I'm from Nigeria 🇳🇬 and l came to eat here in Lisbon. They attend me very nicely and even play me a Nigeria song 🎵. The place is very neat and nice. The food is very very delicious 😋
The food was delicious and the restaurant had such a cool vibe. Flavour, spice, and all the good stuff, with Afrobeats playing in the background. Couldn’t have asked for a better first meal in Lisboa.
so damn good i came two nights in a row - authentic and spicy - update I'm thousands of miles away from Lisbon and I still wake up thinking about this food. I want it so bad. I want it like big pharma and insurance companies want to exploit the people

I had the Rhythm Special at Rhythm and Roots in Lisbon, and it was an unforgettable experience. The dish was perfectly balanced, the pasta was cooked just right, and the sauce had the ideal mix of spice and flavor. The prawns were fresh and tender, and the colorful peppers added a beautiful crunch and sweetness. The presentation was stunning, and every bite felt thoughtfully crafted. You can really taste the care and creativity that went into making this dish. If you’re in Lisbon and love flavorful, well-prepared food with a touch of soul, I highly recommend trying the Rhythm Special at Rhythm and Roots. It’s a must!

Overall, it’s a solid spot for good food, good service, and good energy. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Lisbon.
We travelled to Lisbon from London and saw rhythm and roots on tic tok and the food looked amazing and we were not disappointed the flavours were amazing. We had Owambe which was cooked to perfection , the plantain and coleslaw were sweet! And the jollof was the best I’ve ever had! The music was bringing the vibe and the service was brilliant so friendly we even met the beautiful chefs who were so friendly we will back if ever come to Lisbon again thank you rhythm and roots for looking after us 🙌🏾

This spot is in the cut but so worth finding. The food was very flavorful, all the spices tickling you with sweet and spicy. The service felt personal and very attentive. The drinks are curated by a bar tender who takes crafting the drinks seriously. I really enjoyed this restaurant during my honeymoon in Portugal.
Had such a good time visiting Rhythym & Roots during my visit to Lisboa and the food and service were spectacular! A must visit

The food was fresh and served hot, but my last night in Lisbon was soured by poor communication about payment options. Only after requesting the bill was I informed that their card reader hadn't arrived yet, leaving me to struggle for 30 minutes trying to complete a bank transfer with little guidance. I’ll be sure to double-check payment methods in the future, but the reasoning given for not mentioning it upfront was particularly frustrating, they assumed I was African, and because of this, assumed I would prefer to pay in cash. With my distinctly British accent, it’s hard to see how I could be mistaken for being of direct African descent or a local. I initially thought this was a Black-owned business, but it’s not—a disappointment that also explains their assumption about my ethnic background. The server was very attentive throughout, but this blip in service let him and this establishment down.
Beautiful place and staff were so lovely. I got the Alfredo pasta, it was just okay but very overpriced. $40 usd for a plate of pasta that still had water stains on it
