We had a great time here. Trevor was our server and was helpful and friendly. I had the Argentinian Ribeye meal and it was excellent. One thing, if you have Verizon, there is no reception there. Overall, highly recommend.
Really enjoyed my lunch here. I got the Fried Chicken Sandwich and a Garlic Fry upgrade. They were both quite good. The Garlic Fries were done right, plenty of garlic flavor, nice and crispy. The Chicken Sandwich was good, well fried. The beer menu was good and I got a tasty Hazy from Original Pattern. The service was friendly, fast and attentive. Shout out to the hostess Brianna for being friendly and chatting with us a little while we were seated. Shout out to Natasha for menu recommendations, and friendly prompt service. I'd definitely go back.
Many people are attracted to Sons of Liberty for the drinks but the food here is SO good on its own! The crispy baby back ribs are some of the best I've ever had and the tiramisu is a seasonal dessert that cannot be missed!
I'm trying to eat at all the restaurants in downtown Livermore and this spot is deff my top right now. I want to say I think her name is Jasive dropped some awesome recommendations and amazing service. The artichoke dip was amazing and the Mac and cheese soooo rich! But that fried chicken sandwich was and is probably my favorite around! Was so surprised on how good it was! I will deff come back cuz I want to try other items but I think I might just keep getting this sandwich Everytime haha
This place was absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! The bartender, I forgot his name, was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable about all of the spirits and various drinks. Everything we ordered was AMAZING!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👍🏾👍🏾🔥We will absolutely come back again. They even have a private "speakeasy" room that can be reserved for events!
Our server was great. We went on Tues Sept 26 at about 2:30pm. The SOLA Piña Colada is bomb. Would go back just for that. The presentation on plates was nice. I ordered the Chicken Sandwich and it was really good with the creamy sauce, slaw and fresh Jalapeños paired with the garlic fries. My hubby got the Fish and Chips which tasted fresh and was moist on the inside. The batter was nice and crispy. We will be returning. Great job! 👏
Late night drinks at Sons of Liberty Alehouse. Best idea ever! It was our first time here, it’s a new place so give it some love!! About 8 of us went in (Saturday night) but they gave us a nice spot at the bar ad they let us hang out until way past closing time - thanks guys!! We ordered drinks only, no food. They have craft cocktails, the usual well drinks - we got gin and tonic, old fashioned (made SO well), and some beers. The vibe is very modern American, decor is beautiful and eclectic. We’ll be back, this might just be our new late night spot for drinks! I hope you can stay open until much later in the night.
Delicious. Was there today for my BD. Had the fried chicken sandwich and garlic parm fries. A bit much to much garlic, husband had the brisket tacos. Friendly staff reasonably priced. Will go back.
Found this place while we were returning from our Almond Blossom viewing tour. The food was excellent and the service was great as well. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for delicious food 😋
Great service! Delish cocktails and great atmosphere.
I brought a friend here for a birthday brunch. They were understaffed (someone called out), but the service and food were both excellent. We ordered a bit of everything and shared and it was all delicious.
Absolutely loved their deviled eggs! Was so amazed by how much I loved their guava lemonade. Love the ice cream and warm brownie!
Had a wonderful late lunch with friends. The food and service (Caden) were terrific. Only downside was the state of the bathroom, it needed attention. We'll be back!
just tried this place for the first time a few months ago and now collectively, I think my boyfriend and I have tried the whole menu. Everything is delicious!! Honestly can’t pick a favorite. We love to sit at the bar on Wednesdays and chop it up with the bartender Raphael. He’s so friendly and his drinks are delicious. Would be super cool if they added some weekly specials!! :) Would also like to add- I was surprised by other reviews saying 10-30 a person. So to preface that we usually get 2 (or more) appetizers, as well as multiple drinks each.

My wife and I enjoyed a nice date night out. Our server was knowledgeable and made excellent suggestions. We asked to enjoy our cocktails before ordering dinner, most servers try to rush you but ours did not. We enjoyed a chicken pot pie (better than Costco or anything else I’ve tried) and fish tacos. We finished the evening with bread pudding, thanks to our server Emma’s suggestion. We will be back again soon. Cheers.
This place is probably my favorite in Livermore for high quality cocktails, and the food is very high quality as well. It seems like everywhere I go I am comparing the drinks to this place. The ambiance is very nice, and they have a decent amount of TVs for sports games. My favorite drink here is the Devil Beats the Carter (which they actually rotated off the menu at the time of this review but continue to make for me on request). Bartenders / servers are always friendly and good at what they do. Cocktails are typically around $16 - $17 bucks and the food isn't the cheapest, but isn't out-of-this-world expensive either. Not really a party scene like V&E, Rebel, or Railroad but great to sit down, chat, and hang out at the bar / table. Parking on the road might fill up but with all of the free parking around first street it is easy to park nearby and walk over. I always stop by here when I am out in Livermore.
Very enjoyable dinner - and the fries and duck tacos were both gluten free! It didn't look like a lot of food at first but by the time I was finished I was completely full.

We visited on Sunday and didn't realize lunch was not served on Sundays, I was a bit disappointed as I didn't see that information on the site. We were hungry, so we settled for the brunch menu, I ordered some sides that came together great with their guava margaritas. Service is great as we were seated immediately and served some water before we decided on our food. I will have a repeat visit so I can try out their delicious lunch menu as suggested by another diner during our visit.
We recently dined at Sons of Liberty and had an overall delightful experience, although we encountered a recurring theme with spiciness that diners should be aware of. We began with the Deviled Eggs featuring a miso filling, chili crunch, lightly pickled cucumber, and scallion. Unfortunately, the chili crunch was too spicy for my wife, who isn't a fan of heat. This became a recurring theme during our meal, so be sure to ask about spiciness when ordering. For her main course, my wife had the Spinach and Berry Salad, which included organic spinach, pickled blueberries, strawberries, Laura Chenel goat cheese, toasted almonds, and lemon poppy seed dressing. She added shrimp, which turned out to be spicy as well. However, our server promptly replaced them with a non-spicy alternative, showing great attentiveness. I opted for the Crispy Baby Back Ribs, which were glazed with orange and soy sauce, topped with scallions and sesame seeds. They had a slight kick but were delicious. The highlight of our meal was the Mac n' Cheese, loaded with sharp cheddar, gouda, gruyere, and garlic herbed breadcrumbs. It was the best Mac n' Cheese we have ever had. We also enjoyed a bottle of wine from our new favorite winery, 3 Steves, which complemented our meal perfectly. Impressed by our dinner, we returned for brunch a few days later. I had the Smoked Brisket Hash with fried marble potatoes, caramelized onions, roasted red, yellow, and poblano peppers, pico de gallo, avocado, house crema, poached eggs, and cilantro. It was flavorful and satisfying. My wife had the Baked Hashbrown Gratin, consisting of cheesy hashbrowns with a cornflake crumb and chives. Unfortunately, the cornflake crumb had an unexpected kick, again posing an issue for her. It was also very runny, not what you would think of a hash brown gratin. Despite the spiciness challenges, the quality of the food at Sons of Liberty was outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the attentive service. Just be mindful of the spice levels when ordering if you're sensitive to heat.
When we were seated, about three employees sat behind us. The manager came over and reprimanded the workers about spreading gossip about an underage employee. It was awkward.

I went here a while back with family, The food was okay, nothing to write home about. The service was good. What ruins this restaurant for me is the hostile atmosphere. For whatever reason, the night i dined here they decided they wanted to blow out their speakers, and they played music so loud i couldn't even think straight, let alone have a conversation with my family. I would recommend that anybody who has sensory issues or cant tolerate loud noises finds somewhere else to eat.
First time trying this restaurant in downtown Livermore, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience — I won’t be coming back. If you decide to try it, pay close attention to what you actually receive after ordering. We ordered a 1000ml bottle of red wine, but when the server brought it and opened it for tasting, we noticed the label showed 750ml instead. When we asked about it, the server checked and came back saying the restaurant had run out of the 1000ml bottles, and that the manager would offer us one extra glass of wine to make up for it. Later, when we were almost done with the bottle and asked for that extra glass, the server told us they wouldn’t be giving any wine, and instead would discount one appetizer, without specifying how much would be deducted. What made us most unhappy was that the restaurant did not inform us or ask for our consent before replacing the 1000ml bottle (priced at $130) with a smaller 750ml one. If we hadn’t noticed, we would have unknowingly paid full price for less. On top of that, the manager’s promise to compensate us was changed without any explanation or notice, which felt very disrespectful. What was supposed to be an enjoyable dinner turned into a disappointing experience. Very poor handling and customer service. Definitely not recommending this place.
