came here for my birthday as a surprise from my friends and it was amazing. the wait staff was so kind and knowledgeable, and met us keep the rest of cheesecake in the tray lool even popped a candle in it which just was so thoughtful! the steak, the gravy like everything was so good. would come back!!

A genuinely great Sunday roast. Each component was quality. Every veg well cooked, meat was superb and top tier yorkies. Special mention for the awesome gravy. Excellent service from our very friendly and attentive waiter too. Honestly can't really fault it.Highly recommend.

It is a nice steak restaurant. Although I was expecting to have different cuts of meat, since it was Sunday they had only Sunday roast and some sirloin option. But they ran out of sirloins as well. We had an order but wrong order came in and it was corrected in the shortest amount of time and we received an apology. Overall a nice place and delicious food.

Fantastic food and generous portions. My wife said it was the best lamb she’s ever had, and even as someone who doesn’t usually eat lamb, I thought it was perfectly cooked. The brisket was tender, flavorful, and fell right off the bone. The cauliflower mac and cheese was delightful as well. Drinks were spot-on – balanced and not too sweet., and my server was extremely helpful in choosing the best ones. The atmosphere has a lovely old English pub feel, which really adds to the experience. Highly recommend!

Amazing amazing amazing. I’ll be booking to go again! We had starters… pig head on toast and ribs, then the ALL IN for 3 with cauliflower cheese side and crumble to finish. All was amazingly done. Roasties were great - which is the best check. Probably coulda skipped the crumble… because I’m gonna burst! Oh one more thing. The waitress heard my friend couldn’t decide between having crumble and salted caramel ice cream… so she brought out a scoop of some as a side for his crumble (we shared it coz we’re all pigs).

We had an absolutely amazing dinner here! We did the all in which was £28 for some starter bites, 3 pieces of deliciously cooked meat, flatbread and a side each. Everything was cooked perfectly and flavoured so well. The staff were super friendly and helpful with the order too. Definitely recommend!

Great food and customer service. Thanks to the black guy with plaits working yesterday who explained the menu and what sauces go with the meat. He was also honest about waiting times for food (not that long tbh) Rum punch was great! Would deffo recommend.

I'm going to be dreaming about the next time I eat here again. Everything from the food, service, and atmosphere was amazing! I loved how prompt the service was despite it being busy. We got the All-In Sunday Roast and it was so delicious. The meat is super tender and the potatoes have such a crispy texture. Not to mention the unlimited gravy refills. The drink flavors there are really unique and refreshing. Large assortment of different alcohol as well. The atmosphere here is really bustling and laid-back, and I would recommend going here for a date or just to hang out with friends and family.

Had the lamb the over all roast was really good but wasn't told the lamb wud be kinda rare , would definitely come again but would ask for it more well done , really nice hot toddy whiskeys 😉

The Sunday beef roast was one of the best roast meals I've had in a long time. Meat was tender and flavorful. Make sure to ask for e tra gravy,;you might not need it, but you will WANT it. Instead of a gravy boat, ask for a Gravy Ship! Our waitress Mollie was fantastic and funny. Give her a raise!

Delicious Sunday Roast Dinner! They sat me quickly & food was brought out hot & savory. Very nice cuts of beef and yummy gravy. Yorkshire pudding was phenomenal. Carrots, potatoes, and cabbage were perfect sides. Nice wines by the glass and the martini was perfect. Great service.

From the moment we made the booking to the very last bite of dessert, we enjoyed a fantastic evening and a truly perfect experience at Blacklock Shoreditch. The welcome was warm and friendly, and the service throughout the night — especially from our waiter, Marta — was impeccable. We began with some of the bites and goodies, which set the tone beautifully. Then came the main event: a combination of perfectly cooked steaks, lamb, and pork, all piled on soft bread soaked in rich gravy… absolutely divine! The steaks were cooked to perfection, and the salad was the ideal complement to the meats — a real showcase of balance and flavor. To finish, the cheesecake was the cherry on top — a heavenly dessert that made the evening unforgettable. Best

Food was fantastic, definitely get the all in. The gravy on the bread underneath was maybe the best part. Got there early and they got fairly slammed right away, so service was a little shoddy. But was pleasantly shocked with the price for a full meal, including starters and sides for four people!

Absolutely fantastic on every count. The service, the atmosphere, and importantly, the food. Could not fault it at all. Wanted a great meaty restaurant to take my vegetable hating husband to on his birthday. Someone at work had recommended Blacklock so I booked it. We’ve been to Hawksmoor a few times and loved it, so our expectations were high and it did not disappoint. Staff were amazing from the moment we arrived. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Attentive to exactly the right level. Food was sensational. We had the Prime Rib (700g) and a bacon chop, plus fries. So good. Deserts were also lovely- bread and butter pudding and 698142 cheese cake both fabulous. We then had a tipple at the bar on the way out. All excellent and very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back.

We couldn't get reservations for Sunday roast two days before our intended visit, but we called and they said that if showed up around 1pm they may be able to seat us. We got there at 1pm, and was told there was a 1 hour wait. We decided to wait and went to a cafe nearby for coffee and warmth. 40 minutes later I got a text saying that a table is ready. We were served quickly. The roast was good and filing. The best thing I had they tho was the bread pudding. Best bread pudding I ever had. When in London I'll be back there just for the bread pudding. I enjoyed the visit and meal.

All the food was top notch. Steak perfection. The cocktails - lunar colada was sublime. The legendary cheesecake is legend. Best Irish coffee end to a meal. Service, faultless.

The steak was cooked well (medium rare as I ordered) and seasoned just right. The bone marrow complemented the steak beautifully, and the chips were crispy and hot. They even offered sparkling water for free, which was a nice touch. Everything was perfect. The service was lovely as well. However, I visited during dinner time, so it was a bit noisy. But, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great steak at a reasonable price.

I understand the hype. The food was incredible, from the starters to the mains and dessert. We ordered the pork ribs, and all in platter for 2 people, and a porterhouse chop with Bone marrow, fries and sweet potato for 4 people to share. It was delicious, perfectly Cooked and seasoned. The desserts which I didn’t take a pic of were also incredible, the star being the white chocolate cheesecake which was deconstructed. Fabulous meal it was packed on a Tuesday, service was nice but the staff are run off their toes busy. The meal was so good we booked another table while eating our meal.

Always love to visit blacklock, very affordable price. I always go for the allin, decent amount of meat, comes with a few pieces of starter. The bread underneath the meat are so good, absorbing all the juice.

Brilliant food, superb service! We booked in for the Sunday Roast at Shoreditch and it was pretty amazing. The gorgeous ladies serving us were all absolutely wonderful. One of our party spilt all of his drink and they kindly replaced it and didn’t charge us, now who does that these days?!! I’d give them a 10/5 if I could! Thank you Blacklock for fab food and service! We’ll be back with bells on!

I've been here a few times now and love the atmosphere here, dark, dimly lit and not so seedy. Good selection of steaks, sauces and sides.

We did the all in so 2 course meat feast Must admit didn’t like the starter things - far too punchy in flavour so not for me, and I’m not picky! The meat tower was great though, cooked well and with the bread under was divine. Definitely get some sauces to go with it and chip portions quite small so not necessarily to share unless only want like 5 Service great and good cocktail recommendations

Sunday roast at Blacklock is a must! Recent visit favs all year round. Grateful for the staff who helped us get a seat on a busy day! Highly rec the lamb roast and cauliflower four cheese sides.

We had a fantastic experience here on Sunday. We loved the roasts they were incredible, and cheesecake for dessert was the cherry on top. The portions were great, the taste and flavor was unbelievable, and the price for value was very good. Christine V our waitress provided supreme service and enhanced our experience at Blacklock. She was very kind, friendly and attentive. We would definitely come back every Sunday if we could. Definitely make reservations if you can.

Delicious food- prime rib steak to die for, the bernaise was up there with one of the best I've had and I loved the broccoli salad- a crunchy palate cleanser between bites. The service was brilliant-attentive, friendly and efficient. An all-round 10/10 experience and takeaway cheesecake on the house was the cherry on top. Will be back! Thank you 😊

Excellent meal to celebrate my wife's birthday. Service was super throughout our visit. (Timing, knowledge of offerings, options offered) We all enjoyed our choice of food. I had a superb fillet. Lovely atmosphere. We were a group of 6 and were in a curved seating area enabling us to chat easily.

Absolutely loved this place, we visited as a couple, didn't book a table but the team got us in within a few minutes. The service and staff were lovely, we went for the sharing all in meal and it was excellent. We will definitely visit again, and no hesitation in recommending this great restaurant. Perfect for a weekend roast. They do sell out of certain meats, so get there early or request them when making a reservation. Everything tastes great organic and full of flavor. The staff are wonderful, and the restaurant feels very inviting.

First but not last visit to Blacklock for Sunday roast. Great food in (very) generous portions with equally generous servings of gravy, as well as attentive and friendly staff. The star of the meal was the meat and the roast veggies. Recommended to book a table!

We visited Blacklock Shoreditch and decided to go for the All In option this time. Unfortunately, the meats didn’t meet our expectations — both the beef was overcooked and lacked the tenderness we were hoping for. The pork was slightly dry too. That said, the service was excellent. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout. The atmosphere was cosy and lively, although the seating felt a little cramped with tables quite close together. I had visited before on a Sunday and was blown away by the Sunday roast — it was absolutely fantastic. That great experience brought me back, but I realised the weekday All In set is quite different. Still a nice spot, but I’d personally recommend coming on a Sunday for the roast if you’re after something special.

I visited the Blacklock in Shoreditch for Sunday roast. The place had a nice cosy feel. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout. I had the lamb roast with roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and vegetables, with lots of gravy. It was tasty, and the lamb was tender and juicy. For dessert I had the white chocolate cheesecake which was divine. I would definitely return to this restaurant.

My first Sunday roast experience and it was great I got the lamb leg and it was amazing. The gravy was top notch. The potatoes were also nice and crunch and everything was seasoned perfectly. The bloody maria was good too.

Great Sunday Roast, I couldn't say is the best ever but it's a good standard. The sides are the best part of it, the meat is a bit average unfortunately.

The service was great—warm, friendly, and proactive. For our meal, the two of us ordered the Denver and rib eye, but it wasn't quite enough so we added a lamb skinny chop. The meat quality was decent for the price. The roasted cabbage was delicious, though a bit salty. The butter fries were very tasty; we'd definitely want to have them again next time.

It’s an average Sunday roast — nothing particularly special, but decent overall. We waited about 40 minutes as walk-ins for lunchtine, so it’s quite a popular spot. The interior was a bit crowded and noisy. Still, it’s worth a visit for travelers who want to experience a traditional Sunday roast at least once during their trip.

Food was tasty enough, we both enjoyed what we ordered so no complaints there, though it was nothing special and a bit pricey for what you get. What let it down was the wait. We were told around 10 minutes for a table for two and joined the virtual queue. It ended up being an hour and a half, and when we were finally called it was for seats at the bar. During that time there seemed to be plenty of tables turning over, which made it more frustrating. We even started looking at other places nearby. If there isn't availability, just be upfront about it. Taking everything into account, I'd probably just go to Flat Iron next time.

On the hunt for the best roast in London (for ourselves, not for social media) and this place came up as recommended! The value for money is incredible to me, you cannot go wrong with the 3 meats on a Sunday! All the staff were great, love the vibe of the place, felt so cosy and just decent. I enjoyed my meal, I wasn’t blown away.

It’s okay, the “all in” option looks appealing - it looks big cos the plates are small. We asked the waitress why the plates were so small she said she didn’t know and that they used to be bigger. Overall the food was nice, it was fine. Wouldn’t go back and definitely wouldn’t wait a month for a reservation. Many better places. Service was good waiters and waitresses were polite and attentive. Starters were better than the roast.
