Every time we Are in London, either on business or pleasure we always visit Los Mochis. For me as a celiac with severe symptoms it is a true blessing to eat at Los Mochis where everything is gluten, nut and celery free. With that said, the entire family has Los Mochis as their favorite restaurant, the Japanese and Mexican fusion, is a combination that puts all my taste buds in high gear, for me there is no better combination, and los mochis makes it all exquisite, the flavors are like orgasms in your mouth, and it is as beautiful to look at as it is to eat. The restaurant itself offers a magical atmosphere, so when you combine all this with a wonderfully present and observant staff, it is no wonder we call this our second home. Thank you so much for existing, and for making our mesk number 10 at your restaurant as splendid as the last 9😍🥹🤩❤️💃🕺🏻
Such a cute little spot in Notting Hill. The decor is very fun and the ambience was great, considering it was a midweek afternoon. The food was all delicious. Would recommend the black cod tacos and steak tacos. They served it a little spaced out, bringing 1 or 2 dishes at a time, which we appreciated. Sometimes it can feel like a restaurant dumps your whole order on the table at once. Our waitress Akanksha was so helpful and friendly. Kept checking in to see if we needed anything/ making sure the table was clear etc. excellent service.
One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to! We came two years ago and had been thinking about it ever since and it once again live up to the hype! The mix of cuisine and culture is perfection! We were served by the wonderful Sana who gave us lovely suggestions for our mix of dishes!
We LOVED dining here! As a celiac coming here has been a dream of mine and it definitely met/exceeded our expectations. Also my non-gluten-free fiancé was really impressed by the flavours and would return in a heartbeat. Our favourites were the teriyaki duck on crispy rice and the chipotle calamari. All the dining room staff were so sweet and we loved the general atmosphere too!
Absolutely fantastic from staff to food. The waitstaff and manager were so kind and had so many great suggestions. The chipotle calamari with chipotle aioli were the right amount of not too spicy. The shrimp tempura rolls were delicious and the guac and chips to start it out had just the right amount of creamy and lime. Pair it all with the Rioja red wine glass 👌🏻
At first, I thought it was a bit unusual to have sushi and tacos on the same menu, and I wasn’t sure if it would really be as good as the reviews said. But it turned out to be incredibly delicious! Every single dish was amazing. We tried a lot of different plates, but my favourites were the Spicy Salmon on Crispy Rice, Salmon Aburi, and Trailer Park Chicken. I absolutely love this restaurant!
Fabulous restaurant. Right from the start with a warm welcome through to the service by the lovely Anastasia we had a superb meal. Quality of the food was absolutely first class. Fresh flavours and sensational taste. Great atmosphere and the restaurant was brilliantly decorated in a Halloween / Mexican Day of the Dead theme.
The staff here were so attentive and couldn't do enough for us, the atmosphere was lovely, and i loved how it is decorated. This was some of the best food I have eaten in London, the Mexican and Japanese flavours work so well together and all the plates we ordered were presented beautifully. Delicious cocktails too. A really great social as the sharing plates are brilliant, and everything being gluten free is amazing.
Tokyo Meets Tulum in Notting Hill! This brightly decorated side street restaurant in Notting Hill is an absolute gem! The concept of "Where Tokyo Meets Tulum" is their bold promise, and they deliver The Ultimate Pan-Pacific Pairing. To be honest, we were a bit skeptical about the fusion combo at first, but we were so happy to find that every dish was a fresh take on both cuisines. The blending of Mexican and Japanese flavors is expertly done, resulting in complex and delicious combinations across their sashimi, maki rolls, ceviches, tiraditos, and unique tacos. We had a fantastic lunch sitting outside, sipping margaritas and sharing five incredible plates. The food itself was truly the star! The only area for improvement was the service. While there were plenty of servers, the pace was a bit slow for a quiet time of day when the restaurant wasn't very full of patrons. Despite the slow service, the quality of the food and the unique, vibrant atmosphere made the overall dining experience great. We'll definitely be back!
We came here for the first time to celebrate our anniversary at the weekend. The food was great, and so were the cocktails, but what really made our night was our server, Anastasia. She was incredibly friendly and knowledgable and went above and beyond for us. It’s hospitality like that which makes eating out worth it!
This place was amazing the staff was incredible, they helped us so much with menu and how people normally order and also how to use chopsticks. I don’t like a lot of spice and they explained to me all what I could change to have. The food was amazing nothing like I’ve had before and the fact it’s completely gluten and nut free is amazing. Thank you for an amazing experience we will never forget and we will we back.
Had such a lovely experience at los mochis, great service from Anastasia, the food was incredible (especially the asado chicken tacos and poke tuna tostaditos!!) and the margaritas were great. Would definitely go again!
Lovely location, fantastic experience, gluten-free friendly and excellent service. Thanks to Hasib for his kindness and the amazing surprise 🎂 we appreciated how he helped us to celebrate a special day ❤️🇬🇧
Visiting London on Dia de Los Muertos. We enjoyed an excellent evening with good food and wonderful mariachi musicians. Anastasia was a really good waitress. Los Mochis in Notting Hill was the best place to celebrate and to remember friends and family who have passed on.
I celebrated my birthday at the Notting Hill branch, and it was fantastic. The food concept is ideal for larger groups, and the way the food is served continuously makes the atmosphere more enjoyable as everyone can pick and mix, giving more time to socialise. The service was good and attentive; I highly recommend this restaurant, especially for bigger groups.
I enjoyed the food and their special traditional Mexican hot chocolate. Great spot for a casual meal with friends. Highly recommended if you like Mexican or Japanese flavors.
Came here for a leavers dinner with family.I did not expect this level of perfection when it came to the foods taste and customer service.Marian was especially brilliant and on top of everything, constantly asking if we needed anything and if the food was up standard. Fantastic job from him! Would definitely recommend this place for celebrations or just a nice chill dinner with a loved one. 11/10🤩
We went there last Christmas. I only just came across the pictures I took there and was remembered of the lovely evening we had. It was a lot of money but it was totally worth it. I loved the look of the place, Mexican dogs and Yoda, the staff was attentive and very friendly and the food was amazing. Some good things for our six year old as well. Just keep in mind that if you go for tacos for instance (like I did) you might need more than one of them. I am not a large eater at 55+ years old but I went for seconds. Also because they were exquisite. So at 20+ pounds a serving, this does rack up the bill. So of you're ready to spend some serious cash and are looking for an amazing restaurant, this is a great option. 5/5 stars, even at those prices.
Absolutely wonderful service from our waiter. I came with my boyfriend quite late at the night a couple days ago as a treat as we were only in London for a few days and we wanted to experience something new. We were immediately greeted with friendly staff and a beautiful place to sit. The restaurant itself is relatively small but that’s what makes it so wonderful, it had such a cosy yet fun atmosphere. Our waiter was delightful and helped to recommend us food from the menu, as well as making sure were we comfortable and relaxed during our experience. The food was delicious and the presentation was absolutely stunning. We were taken care of very well here and the staff made sure that we enjoyed our experience, we will remember this night for many years to come. Thank you to the staff, hopefully we will visit in the future if we ever come to London again!
Always a wonderful experience! Being celiac, this is my favorite restaurant in London. And our server, Anastasia, was so sweet and took great care of us!
Excellent Japanese and Mexican cuisine. Great service and the dishes very well prepared. I had a great time with my family who came to visit me from Italy. Thank you so much to Carlo, Titus and their team for making our day so special.
A special place to eat out in London - grand flavours and fantastic cocktails. Although I am a bit sad that my favourite cocktail Tokyo Trailblazer was removed from the menu.
The food and cocktails were fantastic, as always. Added bonus was having Abdul as our server. He was attentive and kind from the second we sat in his section. Highly recommend this restaurant - recommend to be seated with Abdul!
Absolutely amazing! Staff is great and atmosphere is so fun yet laid back. A great date spot. The food was IMMACULATE, I honestly couldn't stop eating. The staff was incredibly attentive and had spot on recommendations; though I suspect that there are no bad choices. The Seabass ceviche cannot be missed!
We loved sitting upstairs in the lounge area. Fun atmosphere, comfortable sofas and delicious food. Akanksha our server was great, she was kind friendly, helpful and accommodating with our allergies. Thank you to her and the whole team. A lovely evening!
We ended up at Los Mochis by chance this past Friday! My friend and I were in the area looking for a restaurant with gluten-free options, and to our surprise, we found out that the entire menu is gluten-free! The food is simply amazing—tapas-style with a fusion of Asian and Mexican flavors. Every dish was a 10/10, but the wagyu tataki was out of this world! The service was magnificent from the moment we arrived. The host was so lovely, and our waiter was incredibly helpful—their recommendations for both food and wine were spot on. The prices are more than reasonable. Without a doubt, this place has made it onto our list of favorites, and we’ll definitely be back soon!
Super tasty selections. Great fusion restaurant. Cosy and comfy place. Well worth another visit.
First time at Los Morchis and the food was excellent fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. All arrived on time. Our server, Gustavo, was truly exceptional, he answered all our questions. He was truly a star. Very attentive without being intrusive, and always seem to remember our preferences and make us feel genuinely welcome
Akanmsha was absolutely wonderful - so kind, attentive, and sweet! 💕 The food was amazing too — everything was delicious and beautifully served. Such a lovely experience at Los Mochis
The food was amazing, and Anastasia was an excellent waitress—very attentive and detail-oriented.
Outstanding food, staff and venue. A must for any gluten free people. The cocktails are exceptional. The tacos were our favourite.
Amazing experience here! Incredible quality sushi, tacos, and margaritas. Thanks to Akanksha for perfect service and adding to an excellent time 🥰🥰
We celebrated our anniversary here a few weeks ago, it was absolutely lovely. All of the staff were amazingly sweet especially Matheus who took care of us (and even took the time to help us with a quick photoshoot)! The food was so exceptional that I’ve been thinking about it since. We would 100% recommend this place. We will definitely be back <3 x
We had a fantastic experience at Los Mochis, Notting Hill. The food was really good, and both my wife and I absolutely loved it. The best part for us was that it’s gluten-free and nut-free, which made the experience even more enjoyable and stress-free. Special shoutout to Akanksha for taking such great care of us, she was extremely professional, attentive, and very helpful throughout. We’ll definitely be coming back.
Fantastic breakfast at Los Mochis today. If you want something for a change we recommend this, highly. A bit on the pricey side compare to your average breakfast but I think it was worth it. Good ambience, fantastic food, great services from the moment we stepped in. Must give a special mention to our waitress Yesenia - ever so pleasant and attentive! Thank you Yesenia for making us so welcomed.
The food was outstanding, the Kamo Maki Rolls and Pork Tacos in particular. The atmosphere was great, especially being an evening midweek. The service from all staff was excellent, Lawrence in particular was great and will return just because of his service and hospitality alone. Great evening.
Busy place, and for good reason. Both the food and the service are excellent. Our waitress made wonderful suggestions, which were taken, and each time the food was extraordinary. In particular, the trailer park chicken taco was easily the best chicken taco I have ever had. I recommend anybody who visits try it! Very easily catered for gluten free dietary restrictions.
We came here predominantly as we are a family of coeliacs and going somewhere where ANYTHING on the menu is gluten free is a treat for the kids. But this place isn’t just “gluten free” the food is outstanding and even the things that you’d normally tell are gluten free alternative like waffles, fried chicken or churros were all incredible. Service by Sana was brilliant. SENSATIONAL
We were lucky to have Sana as a waitress. She was great. Very helpful and attentive. Food and service was excellent. Would only say that slightly loud music made intimate conversation difficult. Was expecting more of a romantic setting further to reviews I’ve read. But would definitely come again. Though perhaps better suited to a group than a couple. Still a 5* experience
The food was delicious. Usually vegan food can be quite boring, with lack of seasoning and creativity being the problem. None of the dishes we tried had that issue. Creative, well thought out dishes, particularly the tacos and the desserts were incredible experiences. Akanksha took our orders and was incredibly forth coming while not being overbearing or rude, asking in detail which part of the meal we enjoyed and why, and offer things without being pushy. The next time we are in London, we definitely need to go back. Incredible.
We had a great time celebrating Valentines Day at Los Mochis. We were given a perfect table right next to a window with a view of painted houses. Lawrence was fantastic! Very welcoming and friendly, and had great recommendations. We will definitely be back!
This place is adorable. I thought Mexican / Japanese would be weird but if you like either of those or both, there’s lots of great options. Stand out: chicken tacos and spicy tuna on crispy rice. Service is friendly and the food is great. I’d give it 5 stars but it’s incredibly expensive. For example, £10 for a tiny bowl of guacamole and an extra £5 for a tiny bowl chips is criminal. Anyone coming from Mexico or the US who’s eaten a lot of authentic Mexican food would be expecting the chips to be included and refilled. My advice since the menu is so expensive, throw your customer a bone and give them free chips. It would make the rest seem less of a money grab. That said, the food is very tasty and the atmosphere is delightful. Very Instagram! Overall, if money is no object, go for it! If you’re on a budget, enter at your own risk.
We had a vegan tasting menu which included several courses. The Truffle guacamole on crispy fried rice was really good. Loved the beetroot salad and the sushis. Staff is warm and friendly and they make sure to give you a seating where your pup is comfortable too as we had our Teddy with us. All the courses felt nice and fresh and atmosphere is very lively.
It’s good quality stuff and the margaritas are excellent. Some of the sauces are a bit strong. Eg the Wagyu sashimi is fresh and good quality but the soy is too strong so that’s all you can taste. Similarly the octopus taco. Other dishes were good and the fondant faultless
Amazing food and even better that the whole menu is gluten free! Although, I do feel that the food was slight over priced, I don’t feel that 2 tacos cost £20 to make…. I also was not best thrilled with the fact that we were recommended to get 8 plates between 2 of us which would have been way too much. We shared 4 plates between us which was more than enough. Would recommend, if you don’t mind spending £80+ on dinner… Overall, food was lovely, but it did feel slightly over priced for what it was.
The service and taco were lovely! The rest of the food isn’t bad. We enjoy the food. However, the price doesn’t really match the quality. Like the portion is too small. Eg. Why they serve the beer like someone else had drunk it already. The photo attached was how they served it. I ordered twice. It’s the same.
Food while a bit high on the price for the kind of establishment, but was excellent in terms of quality. The staff were initially attentive and really friendly, however a bit pushy in selling. We also noticed the music was a bit loud, not well placed for the corner tables, and generally commercial and of poor taste. We remained positive and curious because of the interesting culinary proposition. However, the night took a turn 40 minutes in: we had an excellent start, and calmly finished our entrees, proceeding to wait for our mains. However, after 20 minutes of wait, we began to be really uncomfortable that our mains had not arrived. We gave notice when we realized all the tables around us were being served courses ahead. Several members of staff came to say "2 minutes left", while additional 15 minutes passed. Our server came at some point not to apologize, but cast doubt on that we had requested everything to come together, and in addition to try to blame us for the situation because we "had not cleared the cold foods" so they "couldn't serve the mains". The carte mentions clearly that plates come out in the order of preparation: basically they made the mistake to bring half of the food, and then took 40 minutes to bring the other half. Our mains were served 1.5 hours after we had began dinner. We were not even hungry anymore. We will definitely not come back.
Craving for a ceviche - and for 26 GBP you get a small bowl that would make Peruvians faint. No choclo. No leche de tigre. Instead a heavy soy-mix. The duck on fried rice was more generous in size. But the prices! Very very expensive for what you get. Additionally 16 GBP for 125 cl of ordinary wine….. But the decoration is nice
My husband and I ordered five to six dishes (recommended to get 3-4 dishes per person) and a drink each. At £165 total, the service was lacking and the small portions didn't live up to my expectations. While the drinks were tasty, it took quite a long time to be served and the flavours were lacking across a few of the dishes - in particular, the "spicy" salmon maki had a blob of sauce on it that didn't really pack a punch and the tacos had quite an artificial flavour to me. It was overall quite an underwhelming experience but I get the impression that a lot of people come for the atmosphere / birthdays.
As a lot of people have said on here, it’s extremely pricey for what it is. £20 for two tiny tacos. We also asked, “can you mix and match?” They said yes… and then proceeded to charge us for double portions rather than what we asked for. It was fine as the portions were so small we needed the extra dish. But seriously… we paid over £225 for two people having a shared starter, mains, and some drinks. I cannot begin to express how small the tacos are. Like… some people will finish them in one bite. Max two. Not worth it IMO when there’s lots of other great places serving both mexican and japanese at reasonable prices.
