Would highly recommend Lupollo in Wanstead. Especially Vincenzo and his team. I recently organised a big surprise 70th birthday for my father in law and invited all his friends and family (including a lot of young children). Vincenzo (Lupollo manager) was so helpful, met with me a number of times prior to the day to ensure all the food provided on the day was suitable for the guests attending, and the area for the party was suitable for the kids. On the day all the staff were so helpful in ensuring the day run smoothly and my father in law was completely surprised and everyone had a lovely time. The food was amazing! Thank you again Vincenzo and team. Would highly recommend if anyone is thinking of doing a party and loves good Italian food :)

Lovely dinner at lupollo, the special pasta with nduja sausage and burrata was delicious! Great roast potatoes and atmosphere. Perfect service from Boryana, Vincenzo and rest of team despite being so busy! Thank you

I’ve been a regular visitor here when enjoying the delights of E11 and today by far….has been the standout. Has something changed? After suffering a nibble of a friends pizza of spicy pepperoni that would cause Beelzebub himself to run for the milk…. I was gifted my own small non spicy pepperoni pizza! I have to say I actually enjoyed both in equal measure! The service….chat and all in all, was exemplary and I do feel there’s been a dial up! Thankyou.

Amazing restaurant. Really Italian. The food is great and it’s always great. We came hear with family and we were really delighted to come here👌👌🇮🇹🇮🇹.

Nice italian restaurant with good food and atmosphere! Once we entered we had a nice welcome from the waitress and as it was Friday, great music from the DJ aswell. The place has nice and friendly vibe with industrial decor, great selection of cocktails and other spirits, mainly gins. The pizza and calzone was tasty, with fresh ingredients and served pretty quickly. Staff was very efficient and friendly, reasonably priced and in general very pleasant experience, will come again!

Best pizza around by far. Also a great selection of beers on tap and belting Old fashions! can't recommend enough.

Lovely place to have a meal or just a drink. Food is lovely, with good veggie options and sharing food. I love pizza, so also great wood oven flavours. Good beers selection and hot drinks etc. Friendly staff who are great at their jobs and there feels like a healthy team spirt and pride in the place. Don't sell chips/fries for kids who have more limited palets. Thank you team and manager who offered us a taste of new menu items- yummy Nutella and dough pulling treat. Great spot with good feel, comfy seating and cozy lighting and all round service and accessible place to grab a bite and chat.

We have been to Luppolo a few times now and each time we felt that the service, food and atmosphere were great. There’s a really nice cosy and chilled vibe to the place with low lighting, and the music was ambient and relaxing. We visited last on a Thursday night. We ate the garlic bread, chicken pizza and the salami one, all the food arrived hot and fresh. The menu had lots of nice food to chose from and we were able to walk in and get a table for 2 without booking even though there were quite a few people in there. We were served by Vincent who we found to be friendly and professional, and he was able to make some menu suggestions to us. Also we loved the garlic aioli dip! Would recommend eating here. Thanks!

Bory was fantastic - she helped a huge group of us feel welcome, took multiple drinks and food orders and nothing was too much trouble. We were a rowdy bunch but she took it all in her stride. Thank you Bory!

Great place! Food and drinks ate superb! Axel was our host for the evening, he was very polite and attentive and really took care of our table. It was a celebration and he really enaureseveyone had their meals and drinks and paid attention to us throughout the night which we really appreciated.. Food was fantastic! We thoroughly recommend anyone to come here!

We had our lunch a couple of hours ago. Very nice food, good price for the charcuterie board and nice selection of meats. Friendly staff, calm and nice atmosphere. I was surprised when one customer out of no where started to complain and to be very rude towards the staff. They apologized and handled the situation well but it's a shame some people don't respect not even the other people around that are trying to have a good time. Maybe he was in the right but I didn't like that I had to hear that while I was enjoying my drink and spending quality time with my friends. Other than this, nice place, nice food and friendly staff.

We’ve had two great experiences at Luppolo and it’s turning into our Saturday night go-to! The food is excellent and the service is, too - when we were surrounded by a rowdy drinking table our server moved us somewhere quieter with no issues. And they are just very welcoming and friendly. We really like this place.

Been here a couple times in the last few weeks and both times have been great. The food is excellent, I’ve tried two different pastas and my husband had the calzone and pizza. We also really loved that there were so many families when we went, we have two young children so it was perfect for us. We went earlier in the evening and were able to get a table without a booking but I know it gets busier later in the evening.

A return visit after many months, and we certainly were not disappointed. A relaxed Saturday lunch, with good food, great ambience, and good service, attentive and certainly not rushed. All staff were polite and the manger took time to talk to all the dinners. Thank you.

The pizza was delightful. I had the spicy salami which wasn’t spicy for me at all. Enjoyable. We had the peach Bellini too and was good. Really lovely staff that were very attentive. Good atmosphere and would come back to try other things on their menu. Thanks!

Fresh made quality pizza. Temderstem broccoli was stir fried with chill and garlic butter, very tasty. Wish they had more vegetables on spicy chorizo pizza though. Good for quick lunch.

Nice place where you can have some delicious pizza. Could be quite crowded on the weekends, so make sure you book a table before visit. Little bit noisy, bit the good is really good. Try it.

Bory was a total superstar. We came in with a big noisy family group with so many orders and she was awesome. It would have been appreciated if she was supported a bit more by the other members of the team too.

Finally We did it and came to Luppolo. We wanted to come for long time after reading its great reviews. Unfortunately when we came they were severely understaffed. However, our server, Andrei, managed to give us an aceptable service. It is such a shame because food was great. Really well-made pizzas. We started with nduja Arancini and tomato bruschetta and liked them. I read a review saying that the spicy salami wasn’t hot enough so I added nduja to it and I nailed it! Nice and hot! My wife ordered Parma ham pizza and liked it very much too. We didn’t try pasta options. I was nicely surprised with the beer menu and we also enjoyed our desserts; orange cake and panacotta. They looked, taste and felt homemade! Prices are aceptable, 2 starters, 3 drinks, 2 pizzas and 2 desserts for £78 including service is ok nowadays. We paid exactly the same amount at Gordon Ramsay burgers and that wasn’t good value for money. I’d love to come back again when the house is fully staffed. Maybe one day…

music is always way to loud and it genuinely makes it hard to concentrate or hear anyone you're eating with , food sometimes slightly bland

I've been a loyal customer for 3 years and ordered, for delivery, the same thing as usual, chicken Caesar salad and orecciete pasta. The order arrived half the size it usually does, shameful portioning. And completely flavourless. The pasta was overcooked, had no kick (it's meant to be spicy), no salt, no other flavour than "oil". If you can call that a flavour. Really really disappointed.

Excellent food, experience destroyed by the noise. Simply awful. It appears to be a destination for parents with limited interest in their children’s behaviour. If you dine here, bring ear protection: make a call - who is worse…the kids or the parents who shout at a distance to try and control them… I can’t fault the staff: I am glad I don’t have to manage this situation daily.

Good atmosphere, food was nice but service let the whole place down. As we arrived there was a girl at the front counter, she looked at us but then continued doing whatever she was doing, no greeting or acknowledgment (weird), we were then greeted and seated by a gentleman (who was friendly and smiley) after that. One of the servers also didn’t have their hair tied back, not the nicest thing when they’re serving food! We had a birthday cake to be brought out as a surprise but the waitress put down the side plates before the cake even came out, a little bit of thought wouldn’t have gone amiss as the surprise was then ruined. I think training is definitely needed, and a smile from the servers wouldn’t be hard! There are other great restaurants in the area where service is always warm and friendly.

Takes an hour for mains to arrive which is strange considering they do not season their food. No salt, pepper, parsley, chilli or even any sauce to go with linguine. They did provide parmesan cheese which helped a little. Service was extremely slow even though it wasn't busy. Had to ask waiter three times for the coke. If you like bland food and slow service definitely the place to visit. However if you like authentic Italian, definitely try Piccolo which is opposite

I’ve travelled from quite far outside London to visit Luppolo several times because I really enjoyed a couple of their dishes. Unfortunately, on one visit, I had a very disappointing experience. I waited over an hour and a half for my meal, only to be told that the main dish I had come specifically for wasn’t even available. This was frustrating, especially after going out of my way just to dine here. A member of staff on the day clearly promised me a free meal next time — including the dishes I had originally wanted. When I later called to confirm before coming again (since it’s a long trip), the woman who answered said there was no note on the system. She told me she’d speak to the manager and get back to me — but never did. I found her attitude dismissive and quite rude, especially considering the circumstances. Really disappointed in the way this was handled. It’s a shame, because I was a loyal customer and had recommended Luppolo before. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves how they treat returning customers.

Really gone downhill. Used to eat here a lot years ago but the pizzas are much smaller now, were burnt this time and the prices are so much higher! Service not great either, really slow and nobody even bothered to ask if everything was ok. Won't be back, wish I'd tried alba over the road

Had brand new expensive clothes on for a dinner and the waitress spills a tray of baby Guinness’ over me. White trainers and top btw. Not even an apology, just walks away embarrassed. Someone else comes over to clean it up. I have to go to the bar myself to ask for a cloth to clean myself up. No free drink no discount no care. Only when I went up and asked for a cloth someone said sorry and didn’t even look at me when saying it 🤷‍♂️ terrible
