Came for drinks and nibbles before an event and had a really lovely time. Staff were really friendly and helpful, food was delicious. Had a great visit and will definitely visit again.!
I went there after watching a show in Shakesphere's Global Theatre in Oct 2022. It was almost their close time, but they still welcomed me. Thanks very much, as I rushed from Windsor to the theatre and didn't have a chance to eat dinner that day. Very good food, the pizza was a little different but delicious. The girl (sorry forgot her name) served my table was super nice and friendly, she helped me order the food but not over-ordered. Appreciated.
We were last here a year ago and I’m so happy to be back. I’ve tried other Pide’s in London and these are the best. This time we also tried the lento o soup starter and that was lovely. One day I’ll come back for the stew. If you’re not going to the theatre, give it a try around mid afternoon when it’s not so busy and you can enjoy the ambience in a gentler less crowded way.
Great authentic food. We had booked a table, but there was lots of room and walk ins were accepted. The wait staff were attentive (restaurant 1/3 full) We ordered from the set menu with house wine (£34.95 pp) The food arrived promptly, and as we finished our starters we were asked if we wanted it mains - which is something I prefer to a large gap between starter and main. We were given extra bread & hummus with our mains, and a large piece of Baklava each before the bill. A great place, and fairly well priced, especially for the tourist areas of London. Service is included in the price.
Had dinner here during girls night and it was wonderful. The service was outstanding, the staff were friendly, inviting and patient. The food was scrumptious, filling and affordable. We ate from the st menu which has an option for all dietary needs.
I recently visited one of the branches of Tas Restaurant, and it was a wonderful experience. The restaurant is beautifully designed with authentic Anatolian touches, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. My absolute favorite dish is the "Lahmacun" (Turkish style pizza) I would also like to thank the staff for their kind and friendly hospitality.
We visited TAS for a nibble just before our play at the Globe. We tried the hummus; nice portion, not overpowered with garlic and with olive oil garnish. It was delicious. Then we had the Borek; feta cheese and spinach. That was a highlight, warm creamy inside and crispy outside. For main we had the cheese and spring onion Pide, fantastic 👌🏽 Looking forward to visiting again.
Tas Pide is a reliable spot for authentic Turkish pide and lahmacun in London. The food is consistently fresh, well-seasoned and baked to perfection, with crisp dough and generous toppings. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, ideal for a relaxed meal, and the service is friendly and efficient. It is a place I have always enjoyed for its simplicity, quality and genuine Turkish flavours.
Great spot near the Globe Theatre, just tucked away from the riverside and Millennium Bridge. Really friendly and attentive service, and a large menu to choose from. The pides are light and crispy, not just a boat-shaped pizza. The desserts were a real highlight - we ordered baked pumpkin, rice pudding and Kaymakli Kestane (candied chestnut topped with pistachio), and all three were delicious and worked well together - a relief since they were all new to us! A great option for pre-theatre food, or to refuel after a day exploring London :)
Tas Pide is an amazing spot with incredible food and great service! The dishes were fresh, hearty, and bursting with authentic flavors. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for tasty food and great hospitality!
Great atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly service. Everything was fresh, well-presented, and reasonably priced. Can was amazing and made the experience even better. I’d definitely return and recommend it.
Had a lovely dinner date at Tas Pide. The food's really nice and the prices are good for the area too. Good selection of starters as well as main courses. Try the various Pide items. They are excellent. Good vegetarian options too. The chairs are a bit low! I suppose that may be by design but it felt a wee bit uncomfortable at first. Overall, a nice place. Will return.
Such a lovely restaurant and patient staff. The food was delicious and plenty of it. We mixed starters and one main..all was really good! You have to try the kunefe and the chocolate mouse cake for dessert..so delicious
Pide was freshly made in a brick oven in front of us, and all the other dishes were amazing too. The atmosphere is fantastic, you can either dine outside or in. The decorations and the flavours reminded us of our trip to Istanbul… If you are gg for a stroll after that, Tate Modern is only a 7 min walk away.
Great Turkish restaurant right next to The Globe. Really like the authentic decoration and excellent food. Loved the aubergine casserole. Small pide appetizer. Very nice service.
Oh my God! I loved the interior and exterior design, including the toilets. If there would be a design contest this would win a gold medal. It is a place near to Shakespeare's Globe and you might not notice it while you are walking alongside the Thames river if you don't know this place. The staff is friendly, service is good, it can be a good stop for food, drink and chatting in your walking.
Nice calm Turkish restaurant. The Pides are very good. The salmon one and the aubergine one were delicious!
Everything was wonderful! I am so glad I visited Tas Pide. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Turkish music was played. I had went for mercimek soap and chicken grill whereas my friend had chosen mix grill. We ended our lunch with turkish coffee. Ayran is also very much recommended, ayran is a turkish yogurt drink.
This restaurant had an amazing atmosphere that we just adored. It was calming, peaceful, and we could really just be embraced in its culture. Many dish selections & we look forward to coming back when we are in town next. Highly recommend!
Good anatolian cuisine. Very nice traditional interior.
Pride signature dish. Freshly made to order. Complementary bread, and a houmous and water. Sensibly priced, warm inviting atmosphere
We chose this place for its proximity to Shakespeare Globe Theatre as it was lunch time. The decor is beautiful and authentic, food was fresh and service was good. We got the çaçik and salad with walnuts to start with, both very tasty.. We were also given a complimentary hummus which tasted more like tahini.. Then we had the cheese and leek pide which was delicious, pastry crunchy and cheese plentiful and the aubergine with peppers which washes tasty.. We had vanilla and cinnamon ice cream for dessert and a kunafe which was a bit of a let down as it wasn't crunchy on top and the cheese hard and came out in one piece (a bit disappointing) as we were so looking forward to it. But, in general a nice place to have a meal.
Definitely a good taste and super service that you get in the heart of London! Very delicious meals and a very clean place to visit! I also liked the decoration and the place itself! The only thing that I would change are the size of the portions of the meals. It could be a little bigger.
The houmous, chilli sauce and breads were devine. The mixed grill was a great portion. The lamb was a little fatty, but overall the meal was lovely.
Lots of unusual dishes, we had calamari and falafel to start, delicious and perfectly cooked. Two vegetarian main courses, flavoursome and generous portions, excellent value for London! The only minus being the tables far too close together so you will hear all of your neighbours conversations, and the chairs are rather uncomfortable. However I definitely recommend.
If you have not been, I would highly suggest going!! We didn't know what to expect, but had been told it might be worth a visit. We ordered the Globe menu, which comes a house drink or soft drink, 2 meze dishes each and a main. For the meze dishes, we ordered the Borek, Kalamar, Mantar and Sucuk. There was not one thing we did not like! I particularly enjoyed the Borek. We were also given some bread to accompany these and oh.my.god!!! Some of the best bread I have ever had!! For main, we both had the Tavuk Sis. This was so tasty!!! You really need to eat it to understand just how tasty it was! The only thing that would have made it any better would have been a bit of yoghurt on the side. I don't know if they offer this and to be fair to them, I didn't ask. This is also just a personal preference. There was absolutely nothing wrong with how it came and I finished every last bit! I would recommend eating here and I will be returning! Next time, I think I will try the Pide. Thank you for the lovely food and the friendly service.
Not as many people in on a Friday night as I was expecting. On the other hand there has been an explosion of food places around Borough Market so it may be general saturation. Food is good and different with a middle eastern bent. Great place. To eat before visiting the Globe.
Really good hummus and aubergine, vegetarian entrees were good as well but not as good. Overall definitely recommend if you’re in the area.
Visited this restaurant on many occasions over the years as it’s ideally located for pre-theatre dinner before attending performances at Shakespeare’s Globe. The Anatolian menu is relatively simple but the food is consistently good. The house red wine is also very drinkable. Staff are friendly and welcoming, and the dark wood decor is attractive. Prices have certainly increased since the COVID-19 shutdowns, as they have in most restaurants, but still a great choice.
A bit spenny but the Pide was lovely, reserved a table but wasn’t necessary. We enjoyed the mocktails and the service was great, staff were helpful too. Food was also halal.
Yummy! This restaurant is just what you need on a cold and rainy day. Their food is hearty and warm. The prices are a bit high for my taste :/
Ok. Mediocre for London, good in this touristy plot, bad for mediterranean. It’s worth taking a 5 min walk towards Borough market where the food quality is better generally. You can walk in and get a table on a Friday (that already says a lot). 🍽️ We had the lamb pide. Lamb tasted like cat food. 👎 Tabbouleh had barely any dressing! Just parsley chopped up so it was hard to eat. They had fresh mint tea on the menu which was great. Staff were lovely!!
Lovely staff, but the service was extremely slow. There were only three tables, and no one came to serve us in over 15minutes. The food was mediocre, nothing amazing and in places lacked flavour. The portion sizes were quite small, for example, two small falafel pieces and two tiny slices of halloumi (see image). Definitely overpriced, but I guess that’s partly down to the location. The decor is nice, but not cosy. Bright lights and tiny chairs. The restaurant is clean (including the restroom area), and the kitchen is open so you can see the chefs cook.
Welcoming staff. Quiet relaxed atmosphere. We didn't have a reservation and just walked in for lunch. V generous portions 😅 The meat in the pide tasted like it wasn't cooked well enough and felt too juicy. I'll try again later and update my review.
Walked in for lunch after visiting the Tate Modern. Food was mediocre at best. Service was good though. Prices do not match the quality of the food. A real shame!
Have been there many times before and took guests with me on a number of occasions recently. My recent experience this weekend was simply awful. -Rude waitress - curly haired woman whom I never seen in my previous visits. -No tap water, although we asked for it specifically. We were served plastic bottled water although they normally serve tap water in glass bottles. -Extremely salty pide. Maybe they had a new chef as well. -Mocktail was a joke. The photo shows a pretty curved wine glass with a little straw hat. What we got was a cylinder glass for water and cherry juice. Nothing mixed, only cherry juice from cartoon box. Extortionate priced "mocktail" of course. -At the front door, they would normally have a jar with a few turkish delights. Makes the experience fun and reminds that you have been to a Turkish restaurant -especially if you are there with a child-. No turkish delight this time - probably they cut the services during summer. -Can we have Turkish tea? "Not today, my tea is ready, but our machine is not working." So the resturant didnt have boiled water that day either, we didnt have tea. I will give it a year before I go there again, and definitely not taking guests there anytime soon.
Food wasnt great , i kind of felt robbed as i didnt enjoy the food at all , waited about 40 minutes for a pide , and it came surprisingly cold considering it comes out the oven i was expecting piping hot fresh food. Had a weird smell that put me both me and my partner off. The starters were OK.
