Amazing dinner, with great gluten free options, they said they would adapt anything on the menu for me, which they did and it was so tasty. Romeo gave us great service, was super friendly and gave great wine recommendations. We will definitely be back, highly recommended. Thanks again!
Really nice relaxed quality Italian dining. Strong wine list, but house wines are delicious. Staff good fun, nice vibe. Pretty busy for a Monday night which speaks volumes. We had three courses, ended on a fabulous panettone slice with home made ice cream. Marvellous. Cost around £60 a head all in.
I had an incredible dining experience thanks to the amazing service from Simone and the absolutely delicious food! From the moment we arrived, Simone made us feel welcomed and well cared for—attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely warm throughout the entire evening.
This was my second time visiting for lunch with work colleagues. The place has a great selection of pizzas and pastas as well as desserts. The service was also very good considering it is a very busy restaurant in St Paul's but would definitely recommend. The mushroom and truffle fettuccine was 10/10.
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Terra Rossa on 20 November. The seafood risotto was perfection, the focaccia beautifully springy, and the wine excellent. A special thank you to Marco, our waiter, who was professional and full of warmth. Someone in our group who is Italian expressed how good the food was – high praise indeed. As a lover of Italian food, it was among the best I’ve had in London, and even in Italy. The atmosphere was great too: cosy, and alive with the buzz of everyone enjoying themselves, yet never too noisy. Grazie mille – we had a fantastic time!
Terra Rossa Italian Restaurant – A Hidden Gem with Great Food Terra Rossa is truly a hidden-place restaurant, tucked away but well worth the walk. You can easily walk there, and although cars and motorbikes can access the area, the restaurant itself gets quite crowded, especially during peak hours. If you’re visiting with a group, I’d strongly recommend making a reservation in advance. I was lucky to get a walk-in table. The atmosphere is warm and lively, with beautiful décor and a cozy Italian feel that makes the place inviting for both families and friends. The food choices are excellent, and instead of spending too much time on the menu, I asked the waiter for recommendations—which turned out to be a great decision. The dishes were well presented and full of flavor. My son really enjoyed the ravioli and his pizza, and the portions were perfect for him. I’m not entirely sure what my dish was called, but it was rich, comforting, and very satisfying. One small flaw I noticed was that there were some chipped or broken dishes used on the serving table. I’m not sure if this is part of the restaurant’s style, but personally, I prefer clean, intact dishes, especially when dining with a child. For me, it’s mainly about safety and hygiene, and this is something the restaurant could easily improve. Overall, Terra Rossa offers great food, friendly service, and a lively atmosphere. With a little more attention to tableware details, it would be an even better dining experience. I’d still happily return—and next time, I’ll be sure to book ahead.
We came without booking at New Year’s Eve and although there were lots of reservations and people, he made an effort to welcome us and find a table. The food was amazing, unique taste of common known Italian meals. The portions are relatively small but worth trying it. Idk if it was because of that special night but we had to wait a lot for the food and even for the bill at the end- the service could have been better and more efficient but I think the staff were really trying their best that night. Overall absolutely recommended.
Terra Rossa is a cozy and friendly Italian restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. The three of us ordered carpaccio, burrata salad, a Capricciosa pizza, ravioli, and two coffees. Everything arrived quickly, and all the dishes were fresh and genuinely delicious. We paid £85 in total, which felt like very good value for the quality and portion sizes. A small detail that actually made us smile – some of the plates had slightly chipped edges. It didn’t bother us at all; if anything, it added a bit of rustic charm and authenticity to the experience. Definitely a place we would return to.
Food was amazing! They have lots of gluten-free options as well, which is a big plus. Service was quick, friendly and we felt really welcome (special shoutout to Romeo!). Atmosphere was cozy as well. Will definitely be back!
We had a lovely meal here for my uncles 80th birthday. Excellent food and great service. Romero - thank you for taking such great care of our big and chaotic group so well!
I came here for lunch and it was initially quiet because of the Christmas holidays and was a welcome escape from the insanity of the West End. The food turned out to be excellent and rich in flavour, especially the orecchiette with meatballs. The focaccia was also very light and airy. I would certainly return whenever near St Paul's.
I’ve been to Terra Rossa a few times with friends, and I went there for a business dinner with around 40 guests last week. As an Italian, I can confidently say that the food is excellent and the staff always very kind and welcoming. A special thank you to Romeo and Marco for their patience and great service throughout the night last week. Highly recommended! 🤗
Absolutely delicious! I had the Orecchiette e Polpette — fresh pasta in rich tomato sauce with tender meatballs and shaved cheese. Also tried the Parmigiana — cheesy, comforting, and full of flavor. Warm service, cozy vibe, and authentic Puglian food. A must try if your in the St Paul’s Cathedral area.
Lovely Italian place on a quiet street. Excellent food, very friendly and professional staff. Had the best seafood risotto of my life here! The bruschetta was quite tasty, could’ve done with a tiny bit more seasoning. 5 stars overall.
When the Caprese Buffala hits different! Amazing wine list. An entire Gluten Free menu bursting with choice and flavour including loads of pasta and pizza options. Lovely enthusiastic and attentive service. Food and wine was faultless and delicious. Nicely / authentically designed Italian restaurant style, was more comfortable and enjoyable for the two of us after the big group near us had departed after their lunch celebration (acoustics of the restaurant made it a touch noisy while they were there, but that’s ok)
Absolutely amazing food!! 10/10 recommend! Lovely service, wine and food. Giovanni, our waiter, was a delight and helpful. Nice gluten free options as well.
Definitely recommend getting a reservation as this place was packed on a Wednesday night! The only ding for atmosphere would be it was loud and difficult to hear across a small table. But that's not the restaurant's issue, people were having a good time! We started with drinks and some apps of tagliere di focacce and the Elisa salad. Drinks and apps were fantastic! The foccacia bread was the fluffiest, lightest foccacia I've ever had. We asked our lovely waiter, Ionut, for dinner recommendations and we got the paccheri al ragu di mare and the Diavola pizza to share. Honestly, I never would have ordered either of these on my own, but I was not disappointed with them! The pasta had a lovely fish taste without being over powering and sauce was delicious. The pasta was fresh and cooked perfectly. The pizza was spicy, and full of flavor. The crust was the real winner for me. Cooked perfectly and the taste was *chef's kiss*
This restaurant was right below where we were staying. Romeo was our server and everything was fantastic as soon as we walked in. The place has a very charming look and comfortable. Had the risotto with seafood based on some other review and the seafood was fantastically fresh. My son had papatelle pasta and he was very happy as well. Ask Romeo for dessert options and he won’t steer you wrong. Thanks to this restaurant for a great last meal in London!!!
Very cute and charming Italian restaurant. The food was delicious and the service excellent. Our waitress was very attentive and gave us good recommendations for food and wines. The ambiance and atmosphere are very cozy and feels like a little piece of Italy in the middle of London. It was very close to our hotel and perfect for a late dinner.
This is one of the best authentic Italian restaurants we have been to in a VERY long time. Food 10/10 and service and friendliness of the staff 20/20. Special mention goes to Favio - what a fun and genuinely kind person to have looking after your table! Value for money also fantastic atmosphere - specially in London! One dish to recommend is the Fave e Cicoria (Puglia) and they also offer it gluten free. We will be back! 🫶
One of the best italian restaurant in London. The food is extraordinary, service is amazing. The waiters are really friendly, super kind, attentive, professionals. Great atmosphere, feels like a typical restaurant in Italy..The quality of the food is exceptional. 100% reccommended!!
I had dinner with a colleague on a Sunday. My pizza was excellent and our server Chiara was very friendly and patient with us. Her desert and beer recommendations were spot on. I think I ll go again next time I am in London.
A great selection of Neapolitan pizza, with a small, focused selection homemade pasta dishes. As the city is quiet on Sundays, you’ll be able to walk in, most likely. Otherwise, book - it’s popular. It’s our go-to when we’re hungry in the city - a situation we find ourselves in much more frequently, since discovering this place!
My friends and I had the most fabulous time last night. Buzzing atmosphere, super friendly staff and delicious food. Loved the fact there is a separate Gluten Free menu. My pizza was yummy 😋. Would highly recommend.
The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. Romeo and the management were particularly helpful in making last-minute changes to the seating and food choices to accommodate our large group for our Christmas party. We had no complaints; they were very helpful and polite.
Great Italian with a separate vegan menu including a great dessert. Well done Terra Rossa for being one of the few Italian restaurants that extensively accommodates the vegan diet. Highly recommend although ask for a table upstairs for better atmosphere. Both times I’ve been they’ve sat me in the basement!!
What an amazing find. Stumbling through the streets hot on the 'Snoopy in the City' trail, sub zero temperatures, and in need of some warmth and food, we found the small slice of Italy. A warm welcome, amazing service and bubbly personality, Romeo looked after us from start to finish. Suggesting perfect wine pairings, food to die for, and the desert, wow!!!! Thank you Romeo!!! Will definitely be back when next in the area!!!
Lovely family run traditional Italian restaurant off the Main Street. Lovely dishes great flavours. Wine was also very good. Looking forward to our next visit
The dishes tasted quite good, but the prices were a bit high, especially the meatball pasta, which was 30% more expensive than other places, but it was understandable in London. My friend said the risotto was a bit salty, but the other pizzas and fries were pretty good! But the service charge of about 12% was too outrageous. We were tourists so we didn't argue, but if the restaurant wants to maintain this service charge for a long time, it should consider adjusting it, because the service is really average, and there is no need to spend a main course or two sides for a meal.
Overall a decent choice given the central location, but a solid 3.5-4 stars. All the dishes we ordered were delicious, especially the wild boar ragú pappardelle. However, I find the pricing quite erratic (almost 20 pounds appetizer for a few tiny pieces of fried artichoke) and the wine portion ridiculously small given the high prices. Four of us without dessert came down to almost total of 180. Service was ok but not particularly nice or hospitable.
We were at this restaurant for a business dinner, it is nicely located in an area of London with several pubs, restaurants, and people walking around. The menu is inspired by Apulian recipes and food is fresh and well prepared. There is a good selection of beers and wines, making it good also for an aperitif.
Came here for dinner on a weeknight. It was quiet when we arrived, but full by the time we left. Service was friendly and attentive. I ate the Pappadelle with Wild Boar in a tomato base sauce. The meat was quite chunky and a bit dry, would have preferred more sauce to go with it. The pasta was a bit stuck together. Taste wise was pretty good. For dessert I had the chocolate souffle with ice cream which was also nice. Overall a pleasant dining experience and would come back if I'm in the area.
Terra Rossa in London is a truly stylish Italian restaurant that delivers an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, infused with a delightful Italian aroma that instantly sets the stage for an evening of elegance and comfort. Their authentic pizzas are outstanding—thin, crisp, and topped with creative, flavorful combinations that showcase both tradition and innovation. The salads are equally impressive, bursting with freshness and perfectly balanced flavors that complement the meal beautifully. To end on a high note, the chocolate soufflé is simply unforgettable—light, delicate, and deeply satisfying. Paired with attentive, professional service and an intelligently curated wine selection, Terra Rossa stands out as a secret for anyone seeking a refined yet genuinely Italian culinary experience in London.
Excellent atmosphere, location, service and fine food at Terra Rosso. It is always a gamble to identify a restaurant for a visitor where many choices and questionable reviews abound. Terra Rosso was in a good location off the beaten path. They were welcoming and the room had a nice, slightly loud, buzz. We had dietary restrictions (seafood allergy severe) and Simone our server addressed them honestly and professionally. It had an above average Italian wine list. The food was sound if not inspired. Vegetable with the pasta and steak would have been nice and with the price point. Our server was fantastic. I would recommend this as a place to go in the St. Paul's Cathedral area. Thank you Terra Rosso.
Really good italian food, amazing 4 fromaggio pizza. Very tasty Trofiette alla corsara. It is a pitty such an extensive offer offer of wines, all of the very expensive, totally unbalance. It could be an amazing place with a more afordable offer of wines.
I had the seafood pasta which was scrummy , one of those platefuls that you just don’t want to stop eating even when you are full. My fellow diners all loved their choices. Very reasonable prices considering the location. The only minus was the garlic bread needed more garlic but we should have mentioned that at the time.
Food was Fantastic, recommend it to anybody with confidence. Service was good but a little inconsistent in that first you couldn't start a chat with your table because you were interrupted all the time by waiters and it shuttled between this and being ignored. Great venue but very hard to hear fellow dinners due to background noise.
Came for a work Xmas dinner evening. The place was very busy. We got to our table, where the was name cards with the food being pre-ordered downstairs. Sadly there was not enough seats at our table so we shufted along to include our group. Felt a bit squished. Took a while for drinks to arrive. Scallops were lovely, and pizza was lovely. Hard to get attention for additional drinks. Manger came over to rush us out as there must have been another booking, was not rude but felt like we were unwanted …. I think at Xmas there must be a lot of demand for tables but we would have probably had more drinks after some lovely food. I’d recommend the food, maybe sit upstairs with more room and not when they have so many customers to make it a better experience.
I dined at Terra Rossa and came away with mixed but generally decent impressions. The food was good in terms of quality, but the portions are on the smaller side. On its own, a main didn’t quite feel filling and I’d definitely recommend ordering a starter if you want to leave satisfied, which I didn’t do. Flavour-wise, the dishes leaned a little too salty for my taste, though that’s subjective and others may enjoy it. The atmosphere was one of the highlights. The restaurant is nicely decorated with a relaxed, pleasant feel that works well for a casual meal or business lunch around Blackfriars/St Paul’s. It’s a comfortable space to sit and spend time in. Service was fine. Staff were responsive and did their job efficiently, but there wasn’t much warmth or friendliness beyond that. Not rude at all, just fairly neutral and transactional. £50+ spend for two on lunch I felt was quite high for what it is. Overall, it’s a solid option if you’re nearby and want a decent Italian meal in a nice setting, but it didn’t quite stand out enough for me to rate it higher. 3.5 stars feels fair.
The ravioli was tasty, but other dishes were missing something Eventually the value for money didn’t worth it
Tried it recently for a family lunch. We shared a couple of appetizers and a main course each. The food was overall good; if I were to base my review solely on the food, it would give a pretty high rating. The focaccia was excellent and worthy of mention: thick, soft, and very light. Unfortunately, the acoustics in the restaurant are terrible; I would not recommend this place for a quiet lunch. Furthermore, we happened to be sitting next to a table of 10-15 people who literally shouted throughout our meal, making it impossible to communicate with my family. The room at the level below ground is quite small and the people at this table were clearly disturbing everyone, not just my table. When I pointed out to the restaurant staff that the people at this table were shouting so loudly that I couldn't speak to the person in front of me, they told me they couldn't do anything about it since these noisy (and somehow rude) people were regular Clients of the restaurant. Sub-message: They are regular Clients, they drink a lot (and therefore pay a lot), so we let them make all the mess they want. I don't think I'll be back again
The pizzas were good and the negroni were well made. But, Was disappointed the waiter pushed on us a special wine at £120 for double size bottle, really saying how special it was that turned out to be a £20 low quality wine which tasted as such. The pastas were very average and tiramisu was nice but nothing special. Overall at this price point very average and soo much over selling their high profit items rather than good items.
I am proposing a close - up of the plate of orecchiette pasta I received , to show the excessive amount of oil , which in my opinion was definitely of poor quality , considering the consequences .. I experienced stomach pain and symptoms of poor digestion until 5 am , which I found disproportionate in relation to the dish consumed . A simple tomato pasta should be light and easy to digest , am I wrong ?
