Delicious, authentic Thai cuisine with plenty of favour and excellent service throughout! Try the Tom Kha soup, second to none! All the noodle dishes we tried were wonderful, full of depth of taste and everyone enjoyed it from beginning to end! Halal everything so you don’t have any excuse to try it all
Lovely staff, especially Ishwor who served us and was very accommodating. Great food at very reasonable prices! Thai red curry is incredible.
Very authentic lovely restaurant! We have eaten-in at Thai Town at least 4 times and ordered delivery at least 20 times in the 6 months (since August 2022). The food is generous portions, consistent everytime, good amount of proteins and vegetables, very reasonable prices, fast service and very delicious. We have tried quite a lot of the items from the menu, and would happily order each one again, but our firm favourites are Pad Kee Mow Noodles (known as drunked fried noodles), Pad Kew Mow fried rice, Chow Mein, Tom Yum Soup, Satay Chicken Skewers and Chicken Gyoza. The beef, chicken and prawns are all great quality, and taste lovely and fresh. I personally like that there are no pork dishes in the restaurant and this might be due to it's location. They allow you to bring your own alcohol inside the restaurant if you wish, and charge a satisfactory corking fee. There is lots of off street parking in the surrounding streets. In the restaurant itself it is cash only, when using delivery apps the menu is reduced. Fully recommend going to the restaurant and trying the food and the atmosphere, it is brilliant! 10/10 recommend.
Had lunch using their lunch deal. The food was very tasty, freshly cooked and with good ingredients. We tried noodles only and thought their spice level and cooking was super! Main course portions were very good. They made my pad si ew spicier for me, which I really enjoyed. Note: The soup picture was taken after I had eaten some, hence not the best picture sorry. UPDATE: their panang curry is delicious and freshly cooked for you, as you can tell by the lovely crunchy textures of its vegetables. Good thickness and level of spices, so aromatic!!! After years eating their food they're still top of the list in the area for us :D
Best Thai place I have been to!! Delicious Thai food from a simple menu with all the classics you'd expect at a Thai restaurant. Service is super fast (our food came in around 10 mins, on a busy Friday night) and staff are friendly and accomodating. The food is budget friendly and really tasty, with starters around £5 and mains costing no more than £10. Highly reccomend the Thai iced tea. Cash only, halal and offer a BYOB.
Great little Thai café. I was recommended this place by a Thai friend of mine who said the food was authentic. I was not disappointed. The food is good with generous portions and not expensive. It's a café so the inside dining is basic. But the service is good. I did find the beef massaman a little dry, but everything else I tried here was delicious. If you like, say, green curry, eating in is better than taking away as you do not get as much sauce in the little boxes.
I had my first takeaway meal last night and I was very impressed. The food was really flavourful and delicious. I’ve struggled to find good, authentic thai food locally, so was super happy to have found this place. I only had red chicken curry, pad thai and some rice, which was lovely, but I’m looking forward to exploring the menu further next time. The portions are generous and the price is very reasonable. I will definitely be back :-)
It's always a pleasure visiting THAI TOWN the food is always well presented, and very tasteful. And the waitress ( Lakshmy ) Is always very polite and helpful nothing is to much trouble for her. And definitely a asset to Thai Town I have no problems recommending this restaurant.
Take out so delicious-we are vegetarian so ordered tofu only. Extremely tasty Thai food. Gyoza delicious, red curry delightful big chunks of tofu & veg, noodles amazingly tasty. Our friend ordered chicken & was impressed. We will be back!!
10/10!! This place is niceeee. The food is really fresh and full of flavours! The staff very professional and friendly. Fully recommend it! (No picture of the food because I cleaned the plate)
Food is delicious 10/10 and the hospitality also
Excellent authentic Thai food at great prices. A real hidden gem.
Absolutely delicious food. We had a takeaway at the weekend and were not disappointed. Really flavorful dishes, both meat & vegetarian.
I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, and I’m so pleased we did, because they serve fantastic food which is packed full of flavour. Prices are really good too, and portion sizes are excellent. My favourite dishes are the Tom yum soup and the massaman and green curry. Reminds me of holidays in Thailand. I would highly recommend this restaurant and can’t wait for the lockdown to finish, so we can go and sit in the restaurant to eat. In the meantime we will have to continue with our takeaways!
Our go-to place for authentic and quality thai food. Love their pad sew and masamin curry
Got takeaway through Uber Eats and confidently can say probably the best Thai Food I’ve had in London. The Panang Curry was amazing and mildly spicy and the Pad Si Ew was equally delicious. Drove an hour and still was hot enough to eat! Decent price too.
Thai Town is an exceptionally authentic and delightful restaurant. Over the past two months, we've dined in here on at least five occasions. The portions are generous, and the quality is consistently outstanding, with a perfect balance of proteins and vegetables. The prices are quite reasonable, and the service is impressively fast. The food is undeniably delicious. We wholeheartedly recommend it!
Delicious Thai food - soft texture and full of flavour dishes served in an aesthetic manner. Excellent, friendly customer service. We had a lovely dinner there. You can bring your own wine! Overall great culinary experience.
Lovely food at good prices, highly recommended
We've been ordering takeaway from Thai Town for 2 years now and it is honestly one of the best Thai restaurants I've ever eaten at. It tastes really fresh and there is so much flavour in their dishes - we've tried most of the menu now and genuinely haven't had a bad dish, they've all been amazing. The prices are also very reasonable and delivery usually prompt. Highly recommend 110%
Really decent food and very good prices. I visited a few months ago for lunch and it was great! Edit: I have brought my partner and friends a few times and each time the food was really good. All dishes seem authentic and portions are generous. Despite the prices going out of control in London at the minute, they kept them at a reasonable level.
The food was very good for a thai place. It all seemed very fresh cooked as you can see the chef cooking. Its a small restaurant and gets very busy quick so i recommend to book in a advance, specially on large groups. The coconut rice is delicious than normal jasmin rice. It is a lovely cute place and the staff are friendly.
Excellent, well-priced food and pleasant service. Bring your own wine with £2 per person charge. A clean quiet restaurant, small and friendly. The crispy duck is wonderful so are all the curries. Good quality prawn dishes. I haven't had anything that wasn't lovely thou perhaps my least favourite was the weeping tiger (still good). The lunch special until 5pm. is amazing value at £5.50 for a delicious curry with rice.
Down visiting London & as our flight was delayed most eateries were closed when we arrived. We nearly walked by Thai Town, as its small from the outside. When we went by again we noticed they had a few tables & ordered dinner there. The food was fresh & delicious and the service was great. They only serve soft drinks but you can BYOB. We'd definitely go back if we were in the area again
Absolutely amazing food. However, they don't serve beer but there's an off license right beside it. For starters, I tried the prawn rolls, prawn toast and a Tom Yum soup. All these were absolutely banging! 💯 For the mains, I tried Panang curry in prawn along with coconut rice. Again, absolutely amazing! The waitress was really accommodating too. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Went in there for a random lunch. This place takes cash only, delicious, a little bit spicy really tasty, halal Thai food. I had a panang curry and 2 skewers of chicken satay for £7. The lunch deal is on between 11am to 5pm, I think. Wonderful customer service, as they provided me a glass of water without even me asking. We are all on a budget as prices rise, but this is a well worth, tummy filling food. The food was tasty, was abit spicy, but not their fault as I am more of lemon and herb guy but the sauce in the curry is wow. The look of the restaurant is super clean and great decoration. I went in around 2pm and wasn't too busy but it does get busy after 7/8pm in the evening on Fridays and Saturdays. The food was delightful and tasty coupled with polite, super nice customer service. This is a place I recommend you should give a try. The main lunch dish is £5.50 when ordered between 11am-5pm.
We had stopped eating here for a while as a couple of times we had eaten there last year, the food felt watered down. We were struggling to find a new Thai so thought we’d give it another go. We decided to eat in on a Tuesday night. When the food came it was again at its exceptional standard. Full of flavour and aromatic. We had asked them to omit any bean sprouts and add a little more chilli. We had the prawns with basil and chilli, green prawn curry and the pad kee mao. The only thing that let the dishes down a bit was the fact that they added mushrooms to the pad kee mao and the prawns with basil. I don’t ever remember these dishes containing mushrooms? Otherwise exceptional dishes.
I have ordered the gyozas and prawn pad thai, they were both good! Though I would’ve preferred my pad Thai to be spicier, maybe I should’ve mentioned that when I ordered 😅. The portion was very filling and delivery was reasonably quick. I mainly got it for the pad thai but gyozas definitely stole the show for me, it’s a shame I didn’t take the photos, they were smaller than I expected 😅 but nonetheless, very tasty! I have been told all the meat are halal, so next time I’ll try more of their meet dishes!
Cute dining place. Came here on a casual date with my boyfriend. The service was a little bit slow but the waitresses did have a lot to handle with the constant deliveries they were dealing with. Food was stunning and had huge portions sizes which made for great leftovers too! Quality of the food was great for the price as well.
Very friendly staff who make you most welcome from the start Good portions I had to ask for a doggy bag. The Yellow soft crab curry was gourious and Four portions l was favoured' My only downside to Thai Town was No Disabled Toilet You have to negotiate 13 steep stairs to get to them
I ordered a pad kee mao and was pretty excited to try it as I don’t find it in U.K. restaurants. I ended up getting pad see ew, which isn’t bad but not what I wanted. The chicken is a bit dry but overall is ok and the price is cheap
Small shop, friendly service. Food is almost authentic. Cooks are Thai, but they add ingredients to some dishes to make them more appetizing for locals, I guess. For example, the sautéed beef with Thai basilic had mushrooms and green peppers, I ate that dish on a weekly basis when I stayed in Thailand for 7 years and never saw that...
The soup was really nice,, the dumplings were okayish,, the fried rice was okay.. but they rushed and bought the mains out whilst I was still eating my starters hence why given 3 stars.. was still finishing of my starters and mains went cold but would try again and hopefully they resolve the issue… Halal thai food option
Went here on a friend's recommendation and although my food was nice enough it was nothing too complicated so not that difficult to mess up. I had egg fried rice as one of my orders and it must have been made with the world's smallest egg. The diner itself could have done with a mop of the laminated floor and a good vacuum. I also got the impression that the business only really exists to cater for online deliveries as that was the main activity to occupy the sole chef. We went on a Tuesday evening and we were the only diners there until the moment we left and one other lone diner arrived. Therefore the atmosphere was non existent apart from the music which was too loud and totally crap. This place only takes cash, slightly alarming for 2025 and the menu has no desserts?? The location is on the high street between Colliers Wood & Tooting Broadway tube stations and is a real dive. Parking on the side roads even during the Easter holiday period is also tough with just too many cars everywhere as is the norm for Wandsworth in general.
We have been ordering take out from here for years. Last night we got home from collecting it, opened the rice, and it was like sticky mashed potato. Completely inedible. We phoned up to see if they could deliver another one and they said they had no drivers available. So we had to leave the rest of the food, go out again and take the 20 minute round trip to collect another rice (we took the other one back to show them). All they did was apologise. No gesture at all to acknowledge the mess up and inconvience - refund, discount on next order, even a complimentary starter, nothing. It was disappointing that they really didn't seem bothered. They've lost our years of business as there's plenty of other Thai places around and we're not risking that again.
Ordered via delivroo, over an hour and half later multiple drivers had been to pick up the food and still wasn’t ready. Not impressed, had to cancel our order and left very hungry.
Ordered chicken panang via just eat, took an hour to arrive, received the wrong meal. When I went back they were no longer taking orders
