A friend recommended this place and we were warmly greeted upon arrival. We started with cocktails: I had an Amalfi sour and my friend a spicy margarita. They were both exquisite, especially the Amalfi sour – highly recommended if you’re a fan of sweet and sour cocktails. For starters, we ordered some bread and octopus. The octopus was bursting with flavour and incredibly tender. For the mains we chose bucatini carbonara and it was simply amazing – I was about to lick the plate! We also enjoyed a side of tomato salad. Our waiter Aurimas was exceptional. He knew exactly what to recommend and what is what in the whole menu. We went for homemade strawberry sorbet for dessert, which was refreshing and delicious. Overall, it was a lovely experience. The restaurant has a great atmosphere that makes for a relaxing dinner. I highly recommend it and will definitely return for that Amalfi sour cocktail and some carbonara and i think everyone should!

First time here and I will definitely visit again when in London. The server was amazing. She was very attentive. Our food was very tasty and delivered hot. Steak was perfectly cooked. If you are looking for good Italian food, a great atmosphere, and awesome service visit The Italian Greyhound!

Had the most amazing meal here tonight. A great experience. The food was so tasty and fresh. The service we had by a delightful young lady( sorry no name but she was Turkish)was outstanding. It was so good to be served by a naturally nice young person she was so good

Our daughter and son in law were married and we wanted to host a small dinner party in their honor for 21 people in the semi private section of the restaurant. The Italian Greyhound did not disappoint! From the very beginning when we were planning the menu, picking out the wine, organizing the seating charts, etc. they were most accommodating. Serena was our contact person and she was extremely responsive and helpful. The day of the dinner, they accommodated our party an hour before dinner by reserving a large area with tables in the bar until we were able to go to the semi private section where our dinner was being held. They also allowed for flower arrangements, place cards and menus to be delivered to the restaurant early that day for our tables and took the time to set everything up for us. All we really had to do was show up and celebrate. The food was amazing. The staff was friendly and efficient. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. Our entire party had nothing but wonderful things to say about our time there. We highly recommend The Italian Greyhound if you are looking for a great place to host a dinner party or just to go to and have a fantastic Italian meal.

Came for a short light brunch and prosecco. Very good porcini arancini. On spot! The octopus was a bit mushy for our taste, yet still quite decent. Recommended!

The Italian Greyhound remains one of my favorite Italian spots in the city. This time, I had the truffle ravioli — rich, fragrant, and indulgent, with a perfectly creamy filling and just the right amount of truffle to make it feel special without being overpowering. As a lovely surprise, the staff offered us complimentary drinks, which added a really nice touch to the evening. Service was friendly and attentive, and you can tell they genuinely care about making guests feel welcome. The ambiance strikes a good balance between modern and homey, with warm lighting and a relaxed atmosphere that makes it feel inviting. It was a bit on the louder side, especially during peak hours, but still cozy enough to enjoy a proper meal. It’s the kind of place that works just as well for a date night as it does for a casual family dinner. The Italian Greyhound has definitely earned its spot on my go-to list.

Booked this place as it was close to where my mother is staying - somewhat surprisingly one of the best meals I’ve had in London! Decor is nice and relaxed lighting, we ate Monday night so it was fairly quiet. Service was excellent, they were knowledgeable about wine and allowed my mother to have a decent sample glass of a wine before she ordered it which was very nice. I had the sober martini which was honestly amazing! Starters were divine, definitely get the arancini and I had the aubergine parmigiana which was amazing - definitely go if you’re in the area!

The menu is limited and it is because everything is so fresh and tasty. Fantastic atmosphere and the staff are so friendly. I say it again the food is outstanding and some of the best pasta dishes I have eaten. I did add the extra olives to my Ragu. I will visit again.

We booked a table for four at The Italian Greyhound for Sunday lunch and had a lovely time. The atmosphere is bright, light and airy—everyone at the table commented on how nice the interiors felt. We shared a few delicious starters, including the arancini with Taleggio, spinach and Calabrian chilli, and the burrata with pickled beets and courgette pesto. I had the globe artichoke risotto with sage and artichoke crisps—beautifully done, though a little salty for my personal taste. My partner really enjoyed the artichoke, Taleggio and rosemary pizza. For dessert, the dark chocolate mousse with olive oil and sea salt was rich and decadent, and the pistachio tiramisu was equally indulgent. They also have outdoor seating, making it a great spot for a relaxed lunch or dinner with friends. Would definitely return. They are dog friendly.

One of our favorites in London. A popular place with staff, management, and owners that really care. The food is top notch. The service is professional but not stuffy. The vibe is cozy yet hip.

We had such a wonderful lunch, everything was perfect & extremely flavoursome. The service was exceptional from start to finish. Over lunch we were having an emotional conversation and the waitress noticed, she was so kind, and compassionate - she organised dessert for us. So beautiful ❤️

Loved this place! Great changes since the previous version of the restaurant on this site. Staff were incredible and very attentive. Despite the venue being very busy, you still felt like you were the only one in the venue when it came to attention by the staff. The décor and ambience was relaxing, tasteful and incredibly comfortable. The menu was fantastic! Very simple and not overloaded as some Italian restaurants can be. It tasted very authentic and hit the spot in every way so compliments to the kitchen and menu curators I’d say one of the best Italian restaurants in the area I would highly recommend this venue if you’re in the area.

We hosted our post-wedding lunch at the Italian Geeyhound over the bank holiday weekend and it was the most perfect afternoon in every way. We had exclusive use of the Garden room in the basement, it has its own bar and toilet which was fantastic. The communication from Frankie in the lead up to the wedding was outstanding, she was so organised and put all my pre-wedding nerves at ease as she was so lovely. On the day the staff were phenomenal, they were all so friendly, so attentive, everyone’s glasses were topped up constantly. The manager was excellent, always checking in with us to check over timings and the tab. The food was incredible! Every single one of our guests commented about how good the food was and the portions were huge - just what you want for a wedding! I cannot fault a thing and I would recommend this venue to everyone , thank you for everything TIG! We already cannot wait to come back!

Amazing food and personal. Very tasty. Added note: The price displayed that is confirmed by the buisness (10£-20£) is mostly accurate for the price per dish/per portion, rather than per person. It's still very much worth the price!

This week I visited the Italian Greyhound for dinner and drinks with my best friend and we had the most incredible time! We were served by the lovely Felix who was extremely attentive giving us great recommendations and was so friendly. As well as the lovely views from eating outside, the food was insane! We enjoyed everything, especially the pistachio tiramisu! We can’t wait to come back!

Amazing! Just great I have to say. I'm just sorry I didn't eat here yesterday as well. The staff was very friendly and accessible at all times. Especially Felix made an impression with his kindness and well presented recommendations. The food tasted heavenly and was aestheticially presented in a beautiful way. I had the focaccia and pea and mint arancini for starters. Uhm! For main I chose the recommended pasta cacio e pepe ravioli with broccolini side. Very very good. Two glasses of rosé and finished it all off with the pistachio tiramusu, which was delicious - but I couldn't finish it all because I was so full.. I would most definitely recommend everyone to eat here at our point! A total of 84,38£

Tucked away in Marylebone, The Italian Greyhound is a gem! The beautifully decorated interior, with its warm and cozy Christmas touches, made it feel incredibly inviting—it was the perfect spot for a relaxed evening out. The staff were fantastic, friendly and attentive. My server was particularly helpful, recommending the ragu, which turned out to be an excellent choice. It was hearty, rich, and packed with flavour. We also tried the crab spaghetti and sea bass, and both dishes were beautifully prepared. The crab spaghetti was delicate yet satisfying, while the sea bass was cooked to perfection, with a crisp skin and tender, flaky flesh. A great mix of elegance and comfort, it’s a place I’d happily return to. For a special occasion or just a lovely meal out, it’s worth a visit.

Very pleasant restaurant! We walked past it originally thinking they weren't serving proper good, but then we didn't find a restaurant we wanted to dine at for dinner, and we saw the menu on Google. Somehow, we missed the menu at the front of the restaurant initially. We had some lovely cocktails, pizza, broccolini, and affogato. We just got back from the South of Italy and needed some Italian food, and this hit the spot. Sadly, they didn't have limoncello spritz on the menu - I could have asked for it off the menu, but I tried a new spring spritz which was pleasant, and my girlfriend had a kiwi margarita which was equally pleasant 🍹 Considering it was an awfully stuffy 28° today, the spritz, boy did it hit the spot and felt refreshing for the Italian holiday blues (apparently it helps a g&t hangover too). We shared the pizza and added burrata, which was lovely. The broccolini had a good amount of garlic and chilli, not overly spicy, but to be avoided if you don't like spice at all (shame on you). The affogato was splendid. It was my first time trying one as everywhere and anywhere always runs out of stock for it. They had to use chocolate ice cream instead of vanilla ice cream, which was still divine but not the true ingredient - which is impossible to have in stock in both Italy and London. The service was pleasant, polite, efficient and humble. Thank you. The prices weren't terrible for the location. I recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Surprisingly excellent food, I didn’t expect much when I went here for dinner but the restaurant definitely delivered on serving up delicious Italian dishes. I recommend the Ravioli Cacio e Pepe with black truffle, Native Breed Rib Eye, and the Roasted Hake with King Prawn Risotto. The portions were good and you can definitely order a few dishes to share. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and I’m happy I got to try The Italian Greyhound. It’s underrated and I recommend you dine here if you’re looking for a no-frills Italian feast with family or friends.

Had a fantastic lunch at The Italian Greyhound recently. My partner and I had a very good lunch and both thoroughly enjoyed it. I would highly recommend the Aubergine Parmigiana (which I have had here before). Our servers were excellent and very helpful throughout our visit. Only downside to our lunch was being sat near some very loud business folk. Not necessarily the fault of the restaurant but it felt like my partner and I were privy to a lot of private business. Perhaps we were seated a little too close? Would still highly recommend!

Where does one start? Staff, food, presentation, cleanliness, atmosphere, I honestly can continue Myself and my misses had reserved a table for 6pm Monday and we were greeted by the reception lady with a warm welcome. Table was shown and my misses even had her jacket taken to be stored. A pleasant feeling and service you do not really get nowadays. Food was exceptional. The menu has a huge array of options from proper Italian pizza to pasta dishes plus more and I mean MORE. Presentation was beautiful and very filling. The staff were very friendly and made sure all our expectations were met with smiles and banter. It felt effortless communicating with all staff and even the owner who was a delight to meet. Marcello you absolute legend! Don't get me started on the overall decor of this beautiful restaurant. Myself and my misses have been to different parts of Italy and you really get that real Italian vibe. From the exterior of the restaurant to the interior design. Just incredible. We thoroughly enjoyed eating here and will be visiting again. Thank you everyone at Bernardi's :)

A really lovely restaurant with gorgeous interiors. Had a lovely atmosphere for after work dinner and drinks. The pizza and pasta were both lovely! Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful, very fresh food and staff were the perfect balance of attentiveness and privacy. Only thing that made it hard work (we would have stayed for dessert and drinks) was a solo gentleman that was sat next to us (bizarrely merely ordering a bowl of nuts) wearing more cologne than a 17 year old with a Lynx body spray addiction. The staff really should have noticed and not put him with people eating but haven’t marked them down for this .

This was our first time here! I really enjoyed it and I'm so glad that we came here for dinner. You have lovely and very attentive staff, not to mention the food is incredible and everyone left feeling extremely satisfied! I will definitely be coming back and bringing friends or family with me :-) Have a lovely weekend ahead! All the best.

Enjoyed the meal quite a bit. Very casual, laid back restaurant and family friendly. Had the chickpea chips, brocolli and a pizza. Chickpea chips crispy on the outside and soft on the inside was great. Brocollini was just tender enough and well seasoned. Pizza had nice leopard spotting, texture was really nice. Sausage on the pizza did not shine and mushrooms were a bit hard to keep on each slice due to the varying sizes of the wild mushrooms.

Lovely, professional staff! Smiling, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. I particularly appreciated that they didn’t interrupt us constantly to check if we needed anything else, which made it much easier to relax and enjoy our conversation. The food was fantastic. We both ordered the sausage, wild mushrooms and taleggio pizza, which I highly recommend. For dessert, I had the pistachio tiramisu, also delicious. I’ll definitely be back. Thank you to the whole team who worked on the evening of the 15th of December for such great service.

We celebrated our wedding lunch at The Italian Greyhound on New Year's Eve in the downstairs Garden Room and we cannot thank the team enough. From the offset in the planning stage through to the wedding day itself, everything was so well planned and executed and we could not have been happier. The food was delicious and we had so many compliments from the guests on it. The service was brilliant, nobody had an empty glass and it was all so seamless. A big shout out to one of the managers Hannah who was a star. She even went out to get glue after one of my buttons fell off my outfit and saved the day! We would highly recommend anyone looking for a wedding reception for their Old Marylebone Town Hall wedding to book here. Thank you so much again to all of the team! We will be back for dinner I'm sure many times in the future.

I visited The Italian Greyhound in Marylebone for dinner, and the experience was very good. The menu focuses on local seasonal cooking with pizza and handmade pasta, and the dishes deliver strong flavour and freshness. I started with the Taleggio, spinach and chilli arancini. The texture was crisp and the centre was rich with cheese. The chilli added a sharp edge. You should order this when you visit because it was the standout starter. My friend ordered the octopus with chorizo and potato. He said the octopus was tender and the chorizo added depth. The plate looked well prepared. Kavita was our hostess, and she guided us through the menu. She recommended the pizza, so we shared a Margherita with tomato, buffalo mozzarella and basil. The base held its shape, and the cheese tasted fresh. I enjoyed it so much that I saved a few slices to take home for my son. For the main course, I chose the crab linguine with spring onion and chilli. The pasta held the sauce well, and the crab flavour came through. It was light with a bit of heat from the chilli. My friend ordered the ribeye steak with cavolo nero and red wine jus. He said it was cooked well, and he finished the plate with no complaints. We skipped dessert because we were full. I ordered a Fragolini, which was a non alcoholic drink with a sweet and sour balance that worked well with the meal. The service from Kavita was attentive throughout the evening. She checked on us, offered guidance and kept the pace smooth. The restaurant filled up quickly. We went on a Thursday and it became busy within a short time, so booking a table is a smart idea. The Italian Greyhound delivered good food with fresh ingredients. The arancini and pizza stood out, and the pasta had a clean flavour. The atmosphere was lively and the staff were welcoming. I would return for the pizza and to try other pasta dishes. A good dining experience overall.

Great Chicken Milanese but a little dry. We had to chase our drink orders twice, but other than that service was good. I would say 7.5/10. Nor exceptional, but good.

Really good aesthetic and friendly staff. The food was really good and I really enjoyed the pistachio tiramisu. We tried the mortadella pizza and the sausage pizza for mains. When we visited, it was quiet so there wasn’t much atmosphere but nothing to hold against the restaurant.

Highly recommend the roasted pear and burrata appetizer with the focaccia. We got 3 entrees to share and our favorite was the chicken. My mom and sister got drinks and both said they were delish.

Recommended by my hotel concierge; gotta be good! The menu provides quite a variety of pizzas, pastas and antipasti. Food quality did not disappoint, only lacking some sauces. I know sauces sometimes dun do chefs justice … but was hankering after something more spicy like tabasco with the pasta. Ambience was casual but a tad noisy for a private get together. Otherwise quite a gem of a place.

G
George Rossiades

Decent pizza, horrible pasta were overcooked. Felt like eating noodles rather than Italian al dente pasta. Atmosphere was mostly neutral, not at all Italian. Service was great and they didn’t charged the pasta. Hope their chef learns how pasta is made.

We went for dinner - early, around 5pm - and the atmosphere was really nice for a casual dinner. It is quite expensive and the food did definitely underwhelm. 2 people had a lobster risotto special, I had a steak - the special was bland and the steak was a little burnt on the exterior, although cooked to perfect temp inside The setting and aesthetic are lovely and cocktails were delicious - including a good non alcoholic selection and the staff were AMAZING very kind and attentive and patient as we had our 10 month old son with us If you want cocktails and a couple small plates it's great, or a treat with a baby you will be comfortable - but the food isn't the reason you're going

The Italian Greyhound opened in 2015 as a reimagining of the former Bernardi’s, created by brothers Marcello and Gabriel Bernardi. Designed as a laid-back Italian-style bacaro, the restaurant blends warm hospitality with a modern, minimalist setting — Scandinavian-inspired interiors and a focus on casual, all-day dining. I dropped in for dinner and had the Pork & Fennel Sausage pizza with wild mushrooms, spring onion, and Taleggio. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to expectations — the flavours were muted and the overall execution felt a bit flat. While the atmosphere and service were pleasant, the food this time around didn’t shine. I’d rate it a 3 out of 5 — a charming setting with strong potential, but not every dish hits the mark.

Amazing food let down by lacklustre, poor service. We were looking forward to coming here for a few weeks now. The food was, as promised, really fantastic. The experience was let down by really inattentive, lacklustre service. The rose was served from two bottles of two different temperatures as related to us by the staff when we pointed out the temperature wasn’t right. They then, after some discussion amongst themselves replaced the glass with discernible reluctance. They never returned to the table after that to check if things were okay, or we needed anything more during the meal. Sad that this really was a let down. The food of course was great, but didn’t make up for the poor service. This was made worse by the addition of a 12.5% service charge!

P

Booked a 7pm Sunday dinner for four, no one told us the Sunday roast's were sold out. Ended up having the risotto that was two minutes undercooked and I could eat it. Drinks were good, wine was fine. Would have liked a little more transparent up front telling us roasts were sold out.

I visited The Italian Greyhound last night. The food was ok enjoyable nothing particularly memorable. The service was very slow, but I do want to say the staff were friendly and professional throughout. There was no rudeness or attitude, just a noticeable delay. What really disappointed me, however, was the soft drink offering. I was served a tiny 200ml glass bottle of Diet Coke - essentially a mixer size - and charged £3.50. When I queried it, I was told this was what they had been instructed to serve and that it was the only size available. For those of us who don’t drink alcohol, this feels frankly mean-spirited. £3.50 in London is typically what you’d expect to pay for a standard 330ml can or bottle. Serving what is effectively a child-sized portion at that price point feels poor value and oddly ungenerous. It may seem like a small detail, but it left a surprisingly sour impression. Non-drinkers shouldn’t feel like an afterthought. Friendly staff and acceptable food, but the drinks policy needs reconsidering.

Very disappointing experience. We booked via First Table and were charged the wrong amount. The restaurant acknowledged the error and said they would refund the full payment and then charge the correct amount. They processed a second charge — but the original refund has never come through. I have called multiple times and am always told someone will call me back. No one ever does. I have also sent several emails with no reply whatsoever. It’s incredibly frustrating to have money owed back and be completely ignored. The lack of communication and accountability is unacceptable.

Nice restaurant with a lot of potential near Marble Arch. Every time we go in London we go to this restaurant and has always been good. This time we had a different experience. The food was still okey, however the product has dropped a lot and we felt it was a little overpriced for the quantity. But what it let down the most was the service. We had a lovely waiter looking after us (sorry I don’t remember the name but was an Indian looking guy). We have told him the dish arrived at the tables cold and a girl came to our table to deal with the situation. She was really rude and clearly didn’t know how to deal with the complaint. We thought it was another waitress but instead it turned out to be the manager. She was stubborn and challenging and she didn’t approach in a nice way. I must say that the waiter was more able to deal with us than the manager, and she is the reason why we won’t go back to this restaurant anymore. I don’t know what the name of the manager was but she had dark hair and had a South American looking/accent (would have probably been about 40yo). She made us feel really uncomfortable and is a shame because we always come to this restaurant every time we come down to London but that won’t happen anymore.

We visited for a friend’s birthday last night and had an experience that was… memorable, though perhaps not in the way one hopes for a birthday dinner. When making the reservation on the website, we selected “birthday” as the occasion. At no point was there any mention of a £25 fee for bringing a cake. So naturally, we arrived with a small cake to celebrate. When we asked if it could be stored in the fridge, we were told there was no space and that a £25 fee would apply if we wanted it served. We explained we didn’t need any service at all, we were perfectly happy to keep it under the table and cut it ourselves, just with a couple of plates. Sadly, this was also not possible without the fee. Of course, restaurants are entitled to their policies. What was surprising, however, was the rather cold and inflexible manner in which this was communicated. Not a hint of empathy, apology, or even a polite acknowledgement that the website might have been slightly misleading. It all felt unnecessarily rigid for what was meant to be a simple birthday moment. It’s also worth mentioning that the waiter who looked after our table was actually very friendly and helpful. He clearly did his best, but the situation was out of his hands, and the dissatisfaction really came from how the manager handled things. In the end, we accepted the situation and decided not to pursue it any further. The manager left, we settled back into the table, and the matter was, as far as we were concerned, closed. A few minutes later, however, we were presented with the dessert menu and asked if we would like something sweet. After the earlier conversation, it felt almost comical as if the entire discussion about the birthday cake had simply vanished into thin air. An oddly timed suggestion, to say the least. As for the food: the pizzas were decent overall. I first ordered the gnocchi, which I didn’t enjoy and couldn’t finish, so I ended up ordering a pizza instead, which was fine. As for drinks, I had the Margarita cocktail and didn’t enjoy it, while my friends had the Picante and seemed to like those more. The bread served as a starter was also not particularly appealing. On the bright side, the evening was saved by a nearby pub – The Portman, where the staff cheerfully handed us plates and let us celebrate without any fuss. Nothing complicated, just the kind of hospitality that makes a night feel special. So while the restaurant clearly takes its cake policy very seriously, it might be worth giving equal attention to the customer experience and hospitality, especially when birthdays are involved.

Terrible experience firstly no gluten free options on a Sunday roast and no real effort to accommodate reply was a simple we can’t do anything, left me with no real options. There was no turkey available on a day that’s roast! Then the food took way too long to come and there was a mistake with the GF option which was only grilled chicken with salad that’s it! We can to leave as was taking way too long. The service and food options were extremely poor and it is shocking that no proper GF options are available or better attempt to accommodate when other pubs in this area I have to say are brilliant please take note from the yews and grange who are excellent won’t be coming here again was first and last time for me

Visited The Italian Greyhound in Marylebone last night for a birthday dinner (a four-person reservation I personally made via their website). When booking, the system specifically asks whether it’s a special occasion and provides “Birthday” as an option, which I selected. At no point during the booking process was there any mention of a £25 cakeage fee or a strict no-cake policy. Apparently, this crucial detail lives quietly in the FAQ section of the website because naturally, when making a simple dinner reservation, one is expected to thoroughly audit every page of a restaurant’s website in advance ! One of my friends arrived slightly earlier with the birthday cake and politely asked if it could be kept in the fridge until the end of the meal. The manager refused, stating there was “no space”, fair enough, perhaps...but then added that we wouldn’t be allowed to cut the cake at all unless we paid a £25 cakeage fee. That was the first slightly awkward moment. We didn’t argue. We kept the cake under the table, on the floor throughout dinner. Fancy ! After the meal, I politely approached the manager myself (as the birthday person in question) and clarified that we weren’t asking for any ceremony, singing, sparkler display or special treatment. We simply requested four plates and four forks so we could quietly cut and eat our own cake. This was also refused. No compromise. No flexibility. No apology. No attempt at hospitality. What made it particularly puzzling is that the restaurant does not offer a birthday cake on its own menu. We were told that had we ordered desserts from their menu, things might have been different, although there is no birthday cake available to order in the first place. So, what's been said is that if we ordered a tiramisu from their menu, they wouldn't charge any additional fee. I guess we didn't want to have a sugar coma at the end ! The logic remains elusive. For a £200+ bill, being denied four plain white plates felt unnecessarily rigid especially given that the booking explicitly indicated a birthday. Rules are of course rules, but hospitality is about judgement and empathy. Unfortunately, the manager’s attitude was dismissive and unnecessarily curt, which rather extinguished what should have been a pleasant evening. For balance: the waiting staff serving our table were lovely, and the restaurant being dog-friendly is a genuine positive. The food was not extraordinary, but we didn't care as it's a 'birthday' event right. We ended up taking the cake to The Portman pub around the corner, where the staff, without hesitation, provided plates and cutlery within a minute and even wished a happy birthday. A small gesture, but a world of difference. I work locally in Marylebone and am asked regularly for restaurant recommendations. Sadly, this will not be one of them. We won’t be returning.
