Best spot in Long Beach! Delicious food with amazing servers and bartenders. Live music all the time - really great vibe with a large bar area and separate dining room. Perfect for any occasion with multiple party rooms (one with a retractable roof!) and outdoor seating during nice weather. Great place!

My sons & daughters held a surprise party for me there. The space was perfect for the event, not to big and not to small. Everyone mingled comfortably and raved about the food, as I did also. The staff was superb. Hated that it had to end!

Made reservations for a Friday night and we're seated right away. The food was delicious and our server was very tentative. This was my first time here. I would definitely come back. They also had live entertainment.

10/10 Literally the best bacon egg and cheese sandwich I’ve ever had! Spicy marg was delicious too ✅ Chill vibes. Nice people Service was kinda slow tho but I’m not complaining 👀

My expectations were high, and they were met. The staff were friendly, but Nick “our Waiter” was amazing. First time there, came for the Ribeye but ordered the NY Strip special and I’m so glad I did. Perfectly seasoned and with temperature was spot on. The apps were delicious, but the meatball appetizer (WOW) was incredibly tender and full of flavor, they had it as a special though it needs to live on the menu. Great cocktails as well. Also, the price is right.. We only gave a 4 on atmosphere because the guy playing the guitar was butchering all my favorite tunes. We will be back soon, I think we might have under tipped Nick and we have to make it up to him.

Very lively place, fun atmosphere. There was a party going on in their party room, standing room only at the bar, a Saturday night and I'm sure very busy the weekend before Valentine's Day. Service was good, the waiter was personable and friendly. the food was excellent. Started off with the French onion soup and calamari they offered several different varieties (Buffalo spicy, Asian style and traditional) . I had the special, angel hair pasta with jumbo shrimp and leeks, very different it was very fresh and tasty. Also had the steak tips with mozzarella and sweet potato fries. Drinks were excellent too, I had a gin and tonic which was perfect.

We went here for dinner on 4th of July with the kids. The wait for seating was reasonable given the holiday. They had live music and the vibe was exactly what we were looking for to enjoy the evening. Unfortunately the wait for food was very long and at times we were left wondering whether they forgot about the rest of our order. The waiter explained they were very backed up. In any case, the food, once it came out, was great. The steakhouse burger was super tasty, and the fried onions were nice and crispy. The sweet potato fries were also delicious and crispy. The kids enjoyed the mac & cheese as well. The drinks (pineapple margarita, old fashioned, sangria) were all delicious and strong. We recommend this place, even if they were probably understaffed for the holiday. It's on a very busy street so it's perfectly situated if you're looking for a lively, chill atmosphere with good food and music.

Loved our maiden visit - first time in this area as well as in this restaurant. Live music was extremely loud and very out of tune - but that opened it up for loud family conversations without worrying about others. Food was served piping hot and superbly fresh. I went with the smokehouse burger - loved the quality of the meat, and was able to finish only about halfway. Kids loved the penne and the chicken fingers. The Asian marinated skirt steak was superb. The blackened tuna wrap was delicious. Now that we see this is a fun area to visit - and the food at JJ’s is awesome - would likely visit again!

I gave three stars to average it out. The chicken quesadilla was delicious. The wings were okay. The burger was dry and disappointing. The french fries were great. My tacos were good. Our waitress was very good. There was live music.

I had quite a mixed experience at JJ Coopers. First off, the ambiance is top-notch, and the bar area is particularly inviting - a great spot to wind down. Service was satisfactory, but there's room for improvement. My main concern was with the food. While the presentation was impressive, the actual taste and quality were underwhelming. My fries and burger arrived cold, and the pizza seemed reminiscent of a basic frozen variety you might find at a supermarket. I'm hoping it was just an off day for the kitchen because the atmosphere suggests a lot more potential. Would consider giving it another shot in hopes of a better culinary experience.

Really don't wanna be throwing the word racism around but me and 2 friends got in 9:09 ordered 2 plates and by 9:30 they brought us our check without us asking for it, basically inviting us to leave when the place was pretty much empty, besides for some guys watching a hockey game. It was a shame and completely unnecessary. I spoke up about it and the waitress did apologize -which I appreciate- but still weird to be THE ONLY TABLE invited to leave when we were by far the less loud. Maybe had something to do with us speaking spanish. Not going back since I dont appreciate being rushed out when I still have a half full plate in front of me.

JJ Coopers: come for the mediocrity, stay because you can’t get your check. The food was forgettable, but the fruit flies will be remembered. The bartenders seemed to be running an Olympic-level gossip marathon, occasionally pausing to pretend to polish a glass or scroll on their phones whenever we tried to get their attention. With only about seven people at the bar, we still managed to wait over 45 minutes for the privilege of paying. I used to rave about this place and recommend it to all my patients, that’s stopping today—Truly a masterclass in how to make guests feel invisible.
