Come here with a brunch of friends and we all love it. The decoration was pretty nice and felt like I was in Japan. They have specials for either special rolls or alcohol and great place for drinking. I love the truffle tuna roll and it’s a good portion. They can order the cold dishes for 2 pieces special which we love it. The service was great and totally recommended.

I have been a customer of this sushi establishment for about the last four years since I went to college nearby at CSU Long Beach and now live in Long Beach. I have dietary restrictions, so often times at school I would find it hard to eat the food being offered, and this place was always my saving grace because they have THE BEST AVOCADO ROLLS I HAVE EVER HAD. The avocado is always fresh and delicious year-round and they never skimp on the avocado. Never, not once have I ever had a piece of avocado in their sushi that was brown or over ripe which is rare. Even today, I went to a different restaurant and the food was terrible and had me feeling down , so I immediately came here because I knew I could depend on the quality of Sapporo’s food. I usually don’t go out of my way to write good reviews, but I genuinely LOVE this restaurant and the quality of their sushi never disappoints me. They have helped me stay fed and happy And just coming here and tasting a simple avocado roll made my day so much better!! I feel like that says a lot about an establishment when they can make something that simple taste that good !!!!! Highly recommend this hole in the wall gem. Boosted my mood too, quality is important!

Fresh sushi at a reasonable price - my wife and I walk here from home and it's a great place to have a meal. The fish is always top grade and service is great. Would definitely recommend to locals - it's a great little spot.

Arrived there past 3 pm so the restaurant was not crowded. We sat at a booth in the back and placed our order. I ordered “chicken katsu don” and my friends ordered three item combo plates. The employee who took care of us checked in often, and i thought she was very thoughtful. Parking in front of the restaurant was full but there is a plenty of spots further away.

BEST SUSHI IVE EVER HAD HANDS DOWN!! The only change I would make is the pricing but they do offer happy hour rolls/sake I believe Monday through Thursday certain hours. So it's a splurge if you don't make that time frame. Love this place wish it was closer for me!

We had an amazing meal at Sapporo Sushi! If you’re looking for a place that offers super fresh ingredients at a fair price, this spot is a must-visit. We ordered the bluefin toro nigiri, sweet shrimp (amaebi) nigiri, and the salmon belly nigiri — every single piece was incredibly fresh and just melted in your mouth. You can really taste the difference in quality compared to a lot of other places. One dish that stood out even more was the toast topped with snow crab — my daughter absolutely loved it! It was rich, buttery, and packed with fresh crab flavor. Definitely a must-try if you visit. On top of the amazing food, the atmosphere was friendly and casual, perfect for a relaxed meal with family. For the quality you’re getting, the prices are really reasonable too. I have to mention the service too , they are such a friendly team , I think they are team working , 2 gentlemen and 1 lady helped my table , take care of us well.

This Japanese restaurant not only has a luxurious environment, but each dish is like a carefully crafted work of art, with exquisite presentation, and more importantly, the seafood is really fresh. I like the KIMI SASHIMI (sashimi platter), a luxurious sashimi platter of 15 pieces selected by the chef. Each piece of sashimi is thickly cut and fresh, and melts in your mouth. You can fully feel the original flavor of the ingredients.

We went to a Japanese restaurant near the beach this weekend! Everything sooo good so fresh! So amazing!🤩 ✨ There will be dessert after you finish! We ordered a tempura ice cream! Delicious!! ✨ The environment in the restaurant is very good! There a lot of space inside! There are rooms, there are seats close to the counter! And the hall! ✨ The service attitude is very good! The music is good! The atmosphere is great! ✨ This has become my favorite Japanese restaurant in LA!

When in Long Beach and craving for quality Japanese/Asian fusion cuisine, this is a good place to try. I tried their sushi, rolls, and bento boxes, and this place always delivers. They have friendly and courteous staff which is an added bonus. We tried their make your own bento box, and we loved everything on it. Starting from the salad, soup, and your choice of 2 or 3 items. Price is reasonable. With the quality of food that you get - a complete meal, it's worth it. The only thing that needs to improve is the cleanliness of their restroom. Someone should regularly check/clean the restroom so they never ran out of tissue paper.

I freaking love this place!!! I have visited this restaurant lots of times already and there is one thing I can say: "All of their sushi rolls are super!". Every time I return to this restaurant, I tend to order a new roll that I haven't tried, and they have never ever disappointed me. Though, on my most recent visit, they just changed the menu a bit, so some of my favorite foods were removed. But, the quality is definitely still there. I can't eat in other sushi locations now because my standard is too high after eating here. The funny thing is this, this restaurant is super good and it is rarely gets a full house! Whenever I come here, 98% of the time I get the table to sit right away. However, you still have to wait a bit until your food is ready to serve which makes sense as this is sushi and they have to make it fresh. Anyway, I definitely and absolutely recommend this restaurant. Good food with no waiting and affordable price. Why not???

So I brought my family here on mother's day. What a great experience. The food was top notch but the service was absolutely perfect. John was our server and he was so intent to make sure everything went correct for my wife's big day. I am a huge stickler for excellent customer service so of coarse the tip and gratitude was great. I always research my restaurants before I chose to visit since we don't go out that much. I strongly advise everyone to try this sushi spot in long beach and try your best to get John as your server. Thanks John!!!!

During my visit, Cha For Tea has one option for individuals seeking a Vegan food option. The meal is decent though I feel like I might as well go to a market during the middle of my meal. I appreciate the factoid about frying Tofu potentially contaminating a Vegan product with animal byproducts because the non-Vegan options go in the same fryer that anything that needs frying goes into. Otherwise, it seems like a decent hangout spot/go to spot. Decent customer service.

This Cha For Tea has been awarded as the Best Boba Place in Long Beach, California by the Long Beach Post, Best of Long Beach Readers' Choice. My most favorite drink is their Mango Green Tea, which is a must-have item on the menu.

Service was good, they come around often. You get good portions but the quality of the food is noticeable low. The rolls were the best thing at our table. Stick to rolls and you should be fine. Its a ok place as there is few choices for Japanese food in the area.

Really great food and service. Drinks were tasty and served not too cold. Food arrived super fast and the fish was very fresh. 10/10 you have to have the tempura shrimp appetizer. Great bogo half off deal everyday, lot of rolls to choose from. No wait time on a Thursday night. Parking was good. Great location close to the water and lots to do nearby. Good for a date night, not too fancy not too casual.

Usually love going and the drinks and food are great. I ordered online just this once but they missed 2 order notes. One of my drinks had no sweetener and was missing the add on I paid for. :( I recommend going in person so you can double check your drink is correct.

I love that they have various milk options. I would however say that the default on the peach green tea milk tea was five pumps of sweetener, which was way too much for me personally. Points off for the straw being a paper straw and the lid being like a dixie cup sort of lid and not that satisfying bubble tea portable sealed plastic that you get to satisfyingly stab which I'm sure is a side effect of the weak paper straw. I ordered bubble tea. of course I want to stab something. I'm really disappointed that I don't get to. Also, I kind of wanted to wait out the traffic here. There were two open tables inside but they were both dirty covered in sauce and/or tea. I grabbed some napkins and tried to wipe one of them down but whatever it was was too sticky and half dried on the table and so I couldn't get it clean enough to want to sit there. The upholstery is kind of beat up too so it wasn't looking super inviting. All that said, if I'm headed out of Long Beach on another occasion I'll probably stop here and order with no sweetener, to go, and I actually typically have at least one random boba straw in the car...

After leaving the nearby optometrist I decided to stop in today for lunch today. Service was ok, I didn't get the warm and fuzzy greeting or interaction that I look for in a business I patronize. I ordered the sweet potato fries (mild Cajun), steamed dumplings, and crispy chicken (mild) to go. The steamed dumplings were a little too watery but I was hungry and ate them nonetheless. The fries and chicken were tasty! I also ordered a Thai ice tea with no boba and it was ok, definitely not the best ice tea that I've had. What I saw others had liked good, so it's definitely worth a try.

I used to LOVE coming here after class from CSULB. Unfortunately, it's gone downhill over the years. I recently came for boba. There were 4 people behind the counter (no other orders), yet they were just talking and waiting around. My drink took roughly 15 minutes and the boba was overcooked. Bummer.

Packed in the weekend. The boba was a hit. Brien sugar tea boba. Perfection. Warm and cold, chunks of sugar, sweetened perfectly. The food was terrible. The chicken was overcooked and tough. The crispy chicken was almost not edible, like little chunks of leather. The dipping sauce wasn't too good either. I'd recommend skipping the food and having the delicious boba.

Food is solid and all but to get a to go order in this box and the chicken be thrown into a bag and now my rice stuck to bag, could've give me the normal plastic container I'd get without having my rice stuck to paper bag yall did me dirty this time around

Very disappointed in this establishment. There were 7 of us and only one person enjoyed their drink - which was maybe because that person was the only person to order a cold tea. Convinced that the staff did not know how to make hot drinks. They were served to us very very late (multiple people behind us in line received their drinks well ahead of us and we still were waiting even when there was no line and no one in the shop). When we did receive our hot drinks they were not even hot anymore, and didn’t even taste that good. The staff offered to microwave our drinks for us but the experience was already ruined by then.
