This place has such great style and design. Has a lot of soul to it. Coffee is phenomenal very empty. I love it.
The coffee was so delicious, the pleasant interior, and the friendly service! It couldn't be better. I want to come every day♡
As a coffee lover from Copenhagen, I’m particular about my espresso — painfully so — and Ninth Espresso more than met the mark. Nick Brown once wrote that they’ve earned “modern legend status… influencing countless other independent shops in the process,” and after one sip, I understood exactly why. Rich, clean, and beautifully pulled. A standout.
It was a cozy coffee shop, and it was enjoyable to simply sip my drink and unwind for a while.
I came here for coffee almost every morning since I was staying at the hostel across the street. The almond cappuccino was absolutely delicious, and their pastries are also very good. I highly recommend this café <3
Hipster coffee shop with good quality espresso. Plenty of outdoor seating available, but indoor seating is limited. Open for 8am-3pm. The area looks like it’s up-and-coming and potentially a trendy place to hang out.
fantastic cortado, comfortable setting, good service. at $5 it’s at what seems like the new normal high end pricing, but for a change it’s worth it. delicious and a decent amount of volume. dang.. loses a star for not having a bathroom and for not telling me I’d be charged extra for credit card.
Great roaster serving quality espresso in a clean open space. Taste 2.8 Temp 2.8 Texture 2.8 (8.4/9) Art 0.8 Total 9.2
Love love love this place!!!! Finally made my visit and was amazed by their quality of coffee, pastries, and space💖 My only complain (like everyone else): they close early!🥲 ☕️🥛✨Cappuccino was sooooo good! Creamy, smooth with balanced taste. Agree with certain reviews I found, probably the best coffee spot in the area. ✨Cardamom bun was delicious with uniques blended spices. The bakery they source the pastries is called native.
Awesome new coffee shop in LIC. We had lattes and a savory danish. They have nice indoor bench seating and you can see the roasting behind the scenes.
their coffee is delicious. You can also choose something to eat as a snack. they are delicious too. One of the best coffee shops in the area.

Wonderful lil espresso bar right in the front room of their roasting site. Coffee is fresh, high quality, and straight forward. This is a place for all espresso lovers, and espresso-forward-drink-lovers out there. Today I had a badass cortado here, and yesterday I enjoyed some v tasty espresso 🤙🏼

Staff was very nice and helpful. They seem knowledgeable but not pretentious.
Yes, the barista is grumpy and the menu is confusing. But he knows the craft and the drinks are phenomenal. Pastries were not bad either. Will definitely come again, it's the best espresso in the area.
I loved this coffee shop. It was hip, the coffee delicious, service was great, and the atmosphere was chic. The pastries were incredible. Check out the pillowy croissant layers. Mind blowingly delicious. There wasn’t anywhere really to sit inside which was a little bit of a bummer since it was raw and cold out, the only reason for four stars, but frankly, with the warm coffee and delicious pastry, I sucked it up and sat outside on the really cool block seating area, listening to the sounds of the city, the breeze, and soaked up the sights. Be sure to stop by Ninth Street Espresso if you’re looking for an eclectic spot with good food.

Satisfactory experience. I will tell you why. First off there is limited seating. Corner bench that maybe fits 5 adults shoulder to shoulder. Second. No bathrooms. WTH. 3rd, service was unenthusiastic. The Americano was good at least and I liked the wood paneled espresso machine.
I’ve been to this coffee shop many times. They have a small roastery operation that produces some really good coffee at a great price point. However, I feel I have to leave a mediocre review because of one particular staff member (a gentleman with glasses and a beard) who is consistently rude and unprofessional. During my last visit, I ordered a latte, and throughout the entire interaction, he was visibly in a bad mood, condescending, and dismissive. I later noticed that several other reviews mentioned similar experiences with the same person. To make matters worse, the latte itself was poorly made — more like a badly prepared cappuccino. If this were my coffee shop, I wouldn’t have someone like that representing the business. It’s a shame because the coffee itself deserves better service.

Edit since I can't reply directly to the owner's reply below: I have no idea where that comment about me eating a bagel in your store came from, considering I ordered a latte AND a Cardamon bun (after asking the barista about it, mind you). Please refer to the screenshot of the virtual receipt with the timestamp. That should help you verify the transaction history in your POS system, which you clearly didn't have the time for because you wasted it writing your "silly" response. If whoever wrote the official response is incapable of conducting a proper investigation before addressing a customer, and provide effective customer service training to their barista while you're at it, then you should reconsider whether owning and/or managing a coffee shop is the right path for you. --- Original Review --- Coffee and pastry were good but the service was lackluster. The barista at the time was very unwelcoming and dismissive. Even when I approached him to return my plate/cup and tell him I enjoyed the coffee while he was reading, he seemed annoyed while I tried to complement his craft. It'll be hard to give this spot a second chance knowing there's other coffee shops in Queens with better service.
Coffee tastes bold/sour/bitter. Standard lattes, cappuccinos, etc are under the name ‘espresso with milk’. There are 3 sizes, not sure the price variation between sizes. Some pastries for purchase, we saw scones and croissants. There is a 4% charge for credit card and 4% discount for cash. The guy working there on Saturday afternoon seems tired and miserable. Fine. Asked to use a trash bin (none for customers) and he told us to go outside and use a public one. Coffee isn’t that good to deal with that kinda attitude.

Came and bought 2 drinks and 2 deserts. Coffee is good deserts is good the guy behind the counter who charged me $1 for a plastic cup for water has to be trained or re trained! The cups are sitting right below the water fountain and he says! Hey not self serve I have to charge you a dollar for that cup! You got my $1 dude but take this situation as a training situation! So lame P.s. customer service = take it out of the $4 I tipped you for good coffee and shitty service
The gentleman with the glasses and beard was extremely rude. I only asked what pastries they had and he said whatever you see without specificing what they were , when I asked if he could warmed it up he said "No" in a very rude way. Only after I asked why , he said there was no oven or microwave. The only thing nice is the outdoor areas but it's shared with other business. Won't be coming back
First of all, the coffee is not that great. Turns out that fancy equipment, stylish decor, and hipster-looking baristas with the requisite numbers of tattoos and piercings don't necessarily translate into a good espresso shot. Second, 25 cents for a paper cup?? I guess I should have come with my own tumbler.
