A very beautiful and welcoming restaurant, perfect for a winter visit with its Christmas lights and decorations, or a summer visit on the veranda. Helpful, courteous, and smiling staff welcome you to a table with a delicious, warm focaccia. Truly excellent food, well-designed and prepared dishes, made with quality ingredients. The many off-menu options are appreciated. The veal with tuna sauce is excellent, as are the cakes (I recommend the trio of desserts so you can try more than one!). Well done!

Wow. An amazing discovery off the beaten track! Recommended by our host in the area, we were really impressed with the restaurant. The service is really friendly. Homemade really tasty food - we ate vitello and pasta carbonara, the best we’ve had in a long time! Their deserts are GREAT. And prices are VERY affordable. Note: Road to get there is narrow and has a lot of curves though - people drive through it fast so be careful!

We stopped for a break and were very satisfied with the dishes they served us, the cold cuts truly excellent and the pork fillet with gorgonzola a dream. We were tempted by the desserts, very good. It's just a shame it's a bit out of the way but a stop is worth it!

Call to reserve! There's a good reason why this place is packed during the weekend even though it's further away from Omegna. Fantastic food of generous portions, wonderful service and cute ambience. Ideal as a lunch place after a hike :)

A restaurant located just minutes from Omegna in the tranquil Strona Valley. The place is warm and welcoming, with a fireplace and completely decorated for Christmas. As soon as you enter, you can feel the mountain air, passion, and tradition. We ate excellent polenta with wild boar (€15) and tried a trio of desserts (€7), delicious! The desserts are all homemade and truly out of this world! They also offered us a focaccia to start the meal (see photo) and even a liqueur. The staff was friendly, and we'll definitely be back.

We wanted to get away from the lake heat and get some fresh mountain air and food. The food at Hostaria Funicolare was superb. Simple items like Milanese and Cheese Gnocchi tasted exquisite. The service was friendly and the premises are beautiful too. Highly recommend.

Hostaria funicolare è un ottimo ristorante ,difetti onestamente faccio fatica a trovarli ,i piatti sono semplici ma ben preparati, il servizio è preciso e veloce i prezzi sono buoni . Consiglio il vitello tonnato forse il migliore di quelli che ho mangiato!!

A little gem 🇮🇹👋🇮🇹🤩 completely off the beaten track. The drive there is at times adventurous and wonderful, for those who like it remote like we do. I called and made a reservation for two people at 1:30 PM. They accepted the reservation, asking me not to be late. I arrived at 1:29 PM, after a 40-minute drive from Arola, and found the door locked. I called and was told the chef had left... I'd never seen anything like this before. What a shame.
