The food is fresh and delicious, and the service is spectacular! My family and I have been here several times, and Johnny has been our server. He gives great suggestions on food selections and is extremely attentive despite how busy the restaurant is. From start to finish Johnny definitely took care of us! We will be back! 😀

Third time here. 10/03/2025 The chicken pot pie was amazing. It's huge and tasty. The kids liked what they ordered. My wife loved her chicken deno light. The dessert were good as well. So far every time we come here they have great customer service. Second time here. Great costumer service. Food was amazing. We where so hungry. That's why my pictures had some of our portions eaten when I took them. Waiter was very patient with us our order. It took some time to order what we wanted because there is alot of choices. Next time we come I'll order the chicken pot pie. Also the breakfast burrito I think it's a deluxe was very good when my first visit.

Don't sleep in this chicken pozole soup! They have it on Thursdays. I love it. I go just for that soup and the cinnamon rolls! Good comfort food. Chicken pot pie is delicious if you're in the mood for it. And don't forget about their pies and cookies! So delicious! I love this restaurant and it's longevity in the community. OMG where do I start? First off my mother got French toast it was the thickest French toast there's a picture of it it was a bread super thick super delicious fresh crispy on the outside warm on the inside with perfectly crispy bacon and eggs perfect medium over medium not white running! This picture is a picture of my mother she just turned 80 yesterday can you believe it! So I got the patty melt he asked me how would you like to cook that's a rarity these days got to cook medium rare! Extra onions yummy but look at these onion rings homemade super thick inside like I'm guessing two or three slices of onion inside oh they're so good homemade dressing and just to die for! And you got the service okay so the guy that's taking care of me named Johnny you got to see Johnny don't ask for anybody else! Great smile great attitude filled up our waters asked us if we need anything. Great food, great service and service with a smile!! I'll be back. My moms here all the time.

Oct. 28, 2025 Dear Owner / In Charge; FYI / Concern: We are your customers that comes here every week for breakfast and our friend comes 2-3 times a week. We come as soon as the restaurant is open, we’ve been coming here for years since then with the previous owners. I couldn’t help but to let you know and be aware of the situation, cause it’s starting to affect the quality and speed of service due to lack of staff working in the opening hour, you have 1 waitress doing it all; taking the sign post menu outside as soon as she opens the door, she is the hostess at the same time seating the customers, then taking orders after. She is doing everything, and she is still able to keep the smile and friendliness with everyone. She is a great waitress and no question about it, you are very fortunate to have such a worker like her. In order keep your business in good standing image and quality of service and reputation, you need to take action and do something about these concerns, I don’t think it’ll cost you that much to put 2 more staff/workers in the opening hour to make things better. This place has gone down hill in the last year. The new owners are doing a terrible job. Be forewarned this is not the Gourmet Pie we all remember going to in life, the nostalgia is gone, the new owners that know nothing about food. My recommendation, find a new spot to creat those life long, or even generational memories at. This place was great but is about to close with their terrible business practices.

I have been going to gourmet pie for 15 years now we knew I knew the previous owners for many years. It was sad that they. Sold gourmet pie to some new owners unfortunately we haven’t been able to meet the new owners, but I wanna just let you know our experience by going in there once a week I go in there for breakfast. I’ve been in there for lunch and I’ve been in there for dinner. It’s not the same anymore. The services have gotten so slow the service plus not very kind when we sit down, forget what we ordered not to attentive coming back to see if we want more to drink very unorganized and very unprofessional when asking for anything else at the table I want the good experience that we used to have many years back, but it seems like it’s not there anymore very sad that we have to choose other places to go to around cypress The new owners need to update the staff and retrain them so they can become a better restaurant. Otherwise people are not gonna want dine in when their food is cold or you send things back. It’s just not the same.

My elderly disabled aunt wanted to have breakfast at this restaurant. First of all, I personally was hesitant to come back after my bad experience on 8/1/25, when the server gave me something I did not order. I never complain about taking food back cause I don't know how my food would be returned. Low and behold, everything that I wanted to eat was OUT! I wanted pancakes, eggs and bacon, NO BACON. So, I figured I'd get steak and eggs, NO POTATOES. So, I was going to order Sausage and eggs, NO SAUSAGE LINKS! Do you know the embarrassment I felt with my aunt sitting across from me? I was totally DISGUSTED!

We were looking for a local breakfast spot around the area. Always wanted to try this restaurant. The service IS AWFUL. The atmosphere felt like we we were NOT WELCOME at this restaurant. Our server seemed irritated and annoyed already at 9am before we even place our order. But I gave them the benefit to just stay and we place our order. Then a family of 4 came in, place their order and the same server, who took our order was SUPER nice to them. Then their food came out first. Even though our food was place first. So we just waited. The food was great. But the service was not great at all. We had to wait for an extra water. We had to asked for a refill for a cup of coffee. Our server, Dalia just went to the front counter and started talking to the hostess in the front and forgot about our refill for the coffee and the extra water. So we just waited. THEN, There is a male server, who was going around the other tables asking the other customers for refills on their coffee. Not once this man, look at our table. He just pass our table. So finally, our server saw me and she came back to our table. She asked us if we needed anything. And I informed her that I was waiting for the extra water and a refill on the coffee and she said "oh yes" meaning she forgot about it. I have never been to a restaurant that is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, UNINVITING and UNFRIENDLY STAFF. I truly believe that these servers need to be RE-TRAINED. They have to pay attention. Denny's restaurant, Norm's, Poly's Pies and I-Hop is much more friendlier and professional than the servers here. The atmosphere is not what I expected from this restaurant, Gourmet Pies & Cafe. I hope the manager of this restaurant SHOULD RE-TRAIN THE SERVERS.

My family had been coming here for years. & today is probably the day that we won’t ever come back to this restaurant!! Dalia is one of the worst waitresses ever!! We kept waiting for our bill & she looked at us but kept walking passed us & finally when my dad gave her the credit card she made a sound like “ughhh” like she had other costumers!! Also if you aren’t a good people person don’t work at a freaking restaurant. Oh & my birthday is in a couple days. I took Off work early so me & my parents can go have a nice breakfast meal. Our waitress needs more practice in not ignoring her costumers. We also had to flag down another waitress because ours kept talking to these other costumers. Never again!! We were OG’s ever since i was A kid. Sad because usually workers are so nice here. Not this one!!

My family and I have been loyal customers of Gourmet Pie for the last 13 years because of the consistently high-quality food and outstanding service. Unfortunately, after our most recent visit yesterday, we have decided it will be our last for now. For the past 6 months, I’ve noticed changes that have taken away the charm and quality that made this place special. I share this feedback with the hope that management truly cares about customers and will consider making adjustments to bring back what people loved. As you may have noticed, the long lines outside—which were once the norm—are no longer there. Here are my concerns: • Tuna Salad Sandwich: This has always been my favorite. It used to be served on delicious sourdough bread, but now it comes on cheap, tasteless bread. At first, I thought it was temporary, but after ordering it multiple times over the months, I was told this is now permanent. The quality simply isn’t the same. • Online Ordering: Ever since moving to the “Toast” platform, ordering online has become frustrating. The system has many issues, and the experience is far less convenient for customers. • Menu Suggestion: While you never had hash browns before, adding them could actually be a great idea to elevate your breakfast offerings. I truly hope someone in management reads this and makes the effort to bring Gourmet Pie back to its former greatness. In the meantime, we’ll be visiting Katella Deli and Mama’s Kitchen—even if it means waiting 20 minutes for a table. Please bring back the quality and service that made Gourmet Pie a place worth coming to for over decade.
