This place is Amazzzzzzing. Food was Delicious, Pastries are sooo Good. Sat at the bar for a bit and the bartender made us some yummy drinks. Very Friendly and Nice Guy. Service was Great. Definitely will be going back. Highly Recommend it to Everyone!!!!

Katella Bakery is an amazing place, it's not only a bakery but also a deli, a restaurant, a café, and a bar, all in one. It's the place for our pastrami sandwich (The Special) and matzo ball soup cravings. There are so many excellent choices at the bakery, but we would come every July to get the famous peach pie. And if it's not in season, the Fruit Tarts are always a crowd pleaser.

I came to this restaurant around 11 a.m., and it was busy. Which is a good sign for any business. We did have to wait about 20 minutes to receive our food. As i looked around, i didn't see any worker standing around. They were all busy working their own stations. I was glad to see that even though they were busy, there wasn't a sign of trash on the floors, empty tables, or restrooms. There wasnt any stains on the floors, tables. This restaurant seems to be very big on cleanliness.

Everything about our experience at Katella’s was fantastic! The bakery had so many tasty offerings. The line went quickly and the young lady that helped us was delightful. We also had an early dinner in the restaurant which was so good! Ashley our waitress was very kind and was very attentive and helpful. Overall it was a fabulous experience!

It’s the first time for me to visit this legendary bakery and deli. As soon as I walked in, I immediately felt the bright and openness ambient which is classy but not stuffy. The staffs were all prompt and attentive, courteous but not too formal. There were 6 of us with different breakfast selections, everything was nicely presented, and everyone enjoyed our food. I had the corn beef hash with eggs and hash browns, and it was one of the best I have had. Plenty of parking spaces and restroom was clean. Overall, it was an excellent dining experience.

I really love this place. Though I'd certainly would like to be able to answer New York deli style sandwich piled high with pastrami. The food in the restaurant and bakery is delicious. But today's service in the restaurant was very bad. Too often I saw our server talking to her coworkers and not paying attention to her customers. As the bartender noticed me trying to get the servers attention she moved from behind the bar to ask what we needed and met our needs.

Food was DELICIOUS, big menu, and yummy desserts! The service was a little slow, but our server was also the bartender so I won't hold that against him. The decor is timeless and the place is HUGE! A little loud but can still hold a good conversation!

This place is HUGE! It's litereally a deli, bakery AND a restaurant all in one. The sandwich was the perfect amount not too big and filling. The pastries were perfectly sweet. I definitely wanna come back here when I get the chance. I highly recommend it. :)

We went Saturday evening around 730, and there was minimal wait to get seated. Service was good. Food tasted great. Those onion rings were really crispy, and the ranch that came with it was perfect. The sandwiches tasted great. I was just sad that good bagels were out, and the pricing on food is a bit high, but if you are willing to pay the price, it's most likely worth it.

Katella Deli Bakery & Restaurant is a feast for the eyes and the palate. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a stunning display of freshly baked bread, pastries, and desserts. The bakery is truly a dessert lover’s dream—so much so that it’s hard to choose where to start! The atmosphere is beautiful and inviting, making it a perfect spot for dates, family gatherings, or a relaxed meal. However, despite the amazing ambiance and food selection, our experience was marred by an incredibly long wait for our orders—over 30 minutes. It genuinely felt like our orders had been forgotten. By the time the food arrived, my hunger had passed, and I could barely eat half of my sandwich, which was truly disappointing. The manager did come over to apologize and offered a complimentary slice of cheesecake, which was a kind gesture, but no customer should have to wait that long, especially when they’re hungry. While the food was good and the cheesecake was appreciated, the wait time detracted from an otherwise perfect experience. If it weren’t for that awful wait, Katella would have earned a 5-star review from me. Hopefully, this was just an off day for their service because the potential for an amazing dining experience is definitely there. PS: Apparently it wasn’t an off day. It’s June 9, 2025 and I am here again. We’ve been waiting for over 40 minutes (and counting). 😢

Unfortunately the deli has really deteriorated with time. It may be the food costs are too high, but the portions are minimal, the cost is the same if not higher than it used to be, and just not great food anymore. My wife's breakfast was bland and my pastrami sandwich was without much flavor, and minimal amount of meat. I would hesitate to infer it to be a New York or Jewish style deli. It is a deli with no flair for taste. I think today was our last visit.

Food was decent but portions were small for price. Service was awful. I actually had to search down waitress to get bill. She never came back after taking my order. I told her when we were ordering that I wanted to make an order to go when she delivered my food however she was never to be seen again. I actually had to go to the order to go place to make it and had to wait for an additional 15 mins for my order. I checked my order before I left and it was wrong. The manager had to get my bill and I paid her for my eat in meal and I thought she might give me a discount for the problems but she did not even apologize. Between my eat in meal, my take out meal, and my bakery items I spent almost $150. Will never go back!
