Was Kunden über East Los Tacos sagen
East Los Tacos is known for its generous portions, especially the breakfast platters reminiscent of The Pantry. Customers rave about the hand-pressed tortillas, al pastor, and asada. Service can be inconsistent, and some find the breakfast greasy.

This the second time that my company that I work for brought East Los Tacos to cater our event at work. The first time I have eaten from East Tacos were incredible good with fully of flavors in every bite or one bite they were so good I remember when the first try the tacos from East Los Tacos. I never been to East Los Tacos location or Tacos truck. But I look at my Yelp they serve more items at the restaurant like quesadilla,Mulitas, burritos and other items. I enjoy their Tacos also their rice beans.
Extremely satisfied and highly recommend for all including those on their KETO diets. They have all kind of enjoyments that u will NOT at all be or leave disappointed. U will enjoy ur meal and ur time here. Even more if you r a chicano culture movie critic to VATOS LOCOS, they have murals here that take ur breath away of memories. Will definitely come back, hands down.
The owners are very nice and friendly people!! When ever my employees want tacos or burritos we call East Los Tacos because they are the best in town!! Every week my employees always ask us “when is East Los Tacos coming back”!! The quality of there food is top notch!!! Everyone come check them out if you want the best tacos you ever had!!!
I always come here when we’re around the area. My sister (who doesn’t like tacos) only eats the tacos from this restaurant. The al pastor & asada tacos are so delicious & always fresh. The horchata is amazing as well. I like the variety of toppings & how it’s self serve. The torta is delicious too & very big. The value is top notch.
Finally we have modernized the east los culture and our food. Brilliantly laid out with great art and representation of the blood in blood out movie, not taking away of the great taste of the food. I appreciate the cleanliness. One complaint the service was bland dry not to welcoming. I know those are not the owner’s values So I highly recommend this spot
We kinda hit this spot by chance. It’s a huge restaurant with plenty of seating. They have some fun paintings. Service was good but a little on the slow side. The food was really good. My daughter had the chicken quesadilla which she loved. My husband and I both had the asada torta, it was delicious.
This place is a gem. The East Los Pantry runs from 7am to 2pm and the breakfast is so big, you can easily split between two people. And their Agua Frescas...OH MY GOSH!!!! The Fresa con Leche taste just like a Paleta!! The Horchata tast to creamy and fresh. Just don't make the same mistake I made and ordered a LARGE Piña with my high protein breakfast (IYKYK). Everything is good, proces are reasonable and definitely would eat there again!
Okay, at the time of this review tacos are $2.49+tax. They are the small palm size tacos. They are not generous with the meat, but they put enough to add your chopped onions and cilantro and close taco for the bite. They have a condiment side bar for tacos, which includes an avocado sauce. They have the option of purchasing tacos with hand made tortillas at an additional price and they’re bigger. My daughter loves to come for the chorizo tacos and I enjoy the lengua. I'll add some pictures next time we go. I only gave it a 4 star because in my opinion, I would like to see a little more meat in the tacos, plus when i asked for a water cup with my meal, they gave me what a 4 to 6oz cup would hold 🤨
I had such a great experience here that I had to leave a review. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel genuinely welcomed. They were friendly, attentive, and professional without being overbearing. You can tell they truly care about their customers and take pride in their work. The service was fast, and every question I had about the menu was answered with patience and enthusiasm. My order came out exactly as requested, and the timing was perfect. Now the food—absolutely amazing! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with quality ingredients. You can taste the care that goes into each dish. It’s rare to find a place that nails both the service and the food, but this spot really delivers on both fronts. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great meal and top-notch service. I’ll definitely be coming back!
I found a taco stand behind a laundromat—tacos al pastor with thin slices and bright pineapple. The stand owner smiled, flipped tortillas by hand, asked if I wanted more salsa. Juicy meat, crisp tortillas, smoky flavor. No seating, but that’s part of the charm. One of those moments that make exploring worthwhile
Its a large dining hall with plenty of tables... I've only been here for the breakfast which is a copy of the original pantry in downtown... due to their closure... food is great... brings back memories of the pantry...staff is very very nice
This place was definitely a great decision to try. First time going and I greatly enjoyed their food. The flavor is amazing and the choices are pretty unique too. Not a typical Mexican food spot like the others. Although the prices are a bit up there it was definitely worth it. Will be going back and recommending.
East Los Tacos did not disappoint. We were big fans of the pantry, and now, with East Los taking the torch of great breakfast food, it is knocking it out of the park! We tried the pancakes platter, the famous omelet, and the asada tacos. Everything was delicious. About the seating accommodations, it is much, much bigger than the pantry, so seating is no problem, and it's 100% wheelchair accessible. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. Overall, 5 stars across the board.
If you’re missing breakfast from The Pantry in LA, you need to check out East Los Tacos in East LA — you won’t be disappointed. The cooks here are serving up that same kind of delicious, comforting breakfast that hits the spot. I had the breakfast platter and it was seriously good 💯 — flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. My wife ordered the mulita, which is like a Mexican-style quesadilla, and it was absolutely delicious 🤤. This spot has great food, friendly vibes, and deserves all the support. If you're in the area, definitely stop by. Highly recommend!
Found this place on Instagram and have to come on my off day. I’m a light eater so I order the bacon, eggs and pancakes kids meal with a small cup of coffee. It did remind me of the pantry in Downtown LA. Overall the food was yummy and enough for me. Jess served my food and made me feel welcome and special. He was very attentive and made sure all dishes were pick up and making the place look nice and presentable. Next visit going to try their tacos! Enjoy 😉
Today the 19th of September 2025 at around 2:15pm the men's restroom was not working. But the food and everything else was tremendously good. 5 stars for sure.
Handpressed corn tortillas!! Awesome fresh pina agua fresca, not too sweet or thick. So refreshing. Generous proteins, loved the al pastor and asada with grilled flavor. My companion had the cabeza and loved it. Only wish we had been directed to the salsa bar so we could have dressed the tacos. Small bar in a corner in front of a cool wall mural, not easy to spot if you don't already know it's there ...bec this place is huge. Spacious modern open seating, with industrial vibe. We had a four-hour lunch meeting on a Thurday at 1 pm....place was quiet and no one rushed us out. Love the keto-friendly options. Viva East Los Tacos!! Im sure this place isbusy weekends. Ample public parking across the street. Counter staff could work on being friendlier welcoming and more helpful in figuring out the menu. And tell us about the salsa bar!!
In town for a few days and was directed to East Los for lunch. Had the Al Pastor Quesadilla and it was amazing. The chicken was perfect, with just the right flavor. The cheese was creamy and melted the whole thing together into one creamy, crispy hand held meal!
Met Erika the owner and her staff they were very friendly and welcoming the food was delicious and the signing event went well overall I had an awesome experience
I recommend buying the cheese tacos they are delicious, great atmosphere and roomy and the customer service is great
First off the staff is super POLITE!! The food is good and the claim of pantry breakfast is 96% on point!!! This made my day, it all looks good and tastes better. I'll be back for sure

Food was great breakfast is huge shareable portions. Service is good I was expecting to get up and grab my food at breakfast but they brought it to our table. Which is different from the evening cause that’s obviously self service (which I’m also cool with). We love the vibe very much East Los Angeles Represented.
While traveling through East LA I was looking for a place to eat some carne asada tacos and since this place was right near the freeway and had great parking across the street I decided to give it a try. Ordered some carne asada tacos and a drink and they were fast in getting those tacos out. I eat a lot of tacos so I am pretty critical when it comes to the taste and I have to say these were pretty good. The meat was tasty and the tortilla was really good. Not sure if they make their tortillas fresh but they sure tasted like they did. The tacos were on the smaller side so I ordered 5 and the price was reasonable compared to other places. Overall great experience.
We came for lunch on a Sunday. The food was delicious. I had asada tacos, the salsa were seasoned well with good flavor. Also a chicken burrito and it was seasoned very good. We had the “green drink” I call it but it had a cucumber sweet fresh taste, so good! It’s open seating for everyone. Order and then sit type setup, plenty of seating, large dining room. We will definitely come back again if we’re in the area. Plenty of parking. Great spot!
Tucked in the heart of East Los Angeles, East Los Tacos is the kind of no-frills taquería that reminds you why LA’s taco scene is legendary. I stopped in for a quick lunch and ordered the burrito de asada, opting for the “pure meat” style—no rice, no beans, just carne asada wrapped in a flour tortilla the size of a small planet. And dios mío, was it excellent. The asada was juicy, charred, and perfectly seasoned—every bite packed with smoky, beefy flavor. No filler, no fluff, just pure meat bliss. The tortilla was fresh, slightly crisp on the edges from the grill, and held everything together without falling apart (a small miracle with how stuffed it was). A squeeze of lime, a dab of their spicy salsa roja, and I was in burrito heaven. Portions are generous, price is fair, and the vibe is pure East LA: quick service, friendly staff, and a steady stream of locals who clearly know where the good stuff is. If you’re craving a meat-forward, no-nonsense burrito that hits every note, make the trip. East Los Tacos doesn’t need hype—it’s the real deal.

Ever since a certain 'cafe' was closed in DTLA, the owner of East Los Tacos hired some of the former employees and is now serving pantry style breakfasts - I got the 3 egg ham and cheese omelet with fried potatoes and sourdough toast. The prices are about the same and parking is nearby and free. Only downside is that it can get busy during the late mornings on the weekends so either come in earlier or plan to wait a while for your order.
I love this place as my dinner resort when I don't have time to cook service is always good and not long of a wait for the food, first time I tried the asada mulita it was good just a bit greasy, the east los tacos are good with a bigger homemade tortilla chicken is my favorite, also had the carne asada burrito with cheese really good. 👍🏼
Good food. Their is ice cream too. The locations murals are the show stealer. The murals are homages to the film Blood In, Blood out"
First time trying this place. I absolutely loved my pancake platter. Tasted just like the original pantry. Not too busy for a Sunday. Huge space. Very clean. Friendly staff. My only complaint... it was very stuffy inside. I couldn't feel the air conditioning and it was probably already 85* outside. They had giant fans on, but it was at still stuffy. Next time I come back, I'm bringing my husband too... We're excited to come back together! Ohhh and there was a mariachi trio that showed up, just before we left. So that was a nice addition. My dad enjoyed the music!
I gave it a 4 because I’ve never waited 20 minutes for tacos. The chorizo quesadilla was soo good. The tacos pollo and asada were also good very tasty meat. Tacos were small like tacos Mexico small but overall the flavor of the meat will have me come back.
This review is mainly for the breakfast food. We came because we used to go to the pantry all the time. We had the ham with pancakes platter and the French toast platter. I really enjoyed all the sides especially the hash brown, sausage, and sourdough. The French toast was not great since it didn't have much flavor so it ended up tasting like unseasoned eggs. The pancakes definitely saved the entree, they do taste like the pantry's just maybe not as fluffy. I was disappointed in the atmosphere because it seemed like the place wasn't taken care of. The floors were dirty with spilled food and our table was dirty too. I feel for the bussers since they looked like they were busting their asses. I think understaffing a place that doesn't have a hostess or servers is a big miss step. Hopefully the management takes notice and supports their staff. All in all I will be back but there are definitely things that could be better.
I ordered the breakfast omelet with chorizo. It came with a side of hash browns. The omelet was tasteful, hash browns were undercooked. They looked like they were boiled, chopped up and slightly toasted. My order was not taken properly, I had to get up twice to get it fixed. Food is served in good portions but in my opinion a bit pricey. Place is clean, seating area is pretty big, atmosphere is relaxing and it's family friendly. Staff is friendly and attentive. Parking is available behind the building (but it has limited spaces available). Not sure if I'll come back for breakfast, but maybe I'll give their lunch menue a try.
Nice taco place plenty of seating. Not a vegetarian place got a rice and beans and cheese wet burrito. Tasted good. They some cucumbers that were spicy! Next to the salsas.
First time trying east los tacos via doordash. Overall, I love the fact this restaurant offers super affordable tacos ($2.49) with a generous amount of protein and hand made tortillas. My mulita was filled with a generous amount of cheese and lengua. I was really happy to see a honest, thoughtful and customer-orientated restaurant because many restaurants try to cut corners on the meat to cut costs. Flavor profile wise, I think the protein and salsa could use a bit more salt and seasoning. My order tasted slightly bland. Other than that, I have no complaints. I will definitely order again!
Nice place, chillaxin, serious guy comes and takes your order, they give you a pager so when your food is ready you can pick it up. Self-serve lemon, sauces, and sliced cucumbers. Plenty of space, prices are really acceptable. Small menu, tacos, burritos, mulitas, and quesadillas with the option of keto diet. Aguas frescas and soft drinks are served. I love the place and is located in East LA. Now, serving breakfast and sharing the place with a Mariscos "El cata" stand and raspados y paletas from "Delicias de Lore" such an amazing combination, now you can find everything in one place. Now Serving breakfast!!!! Delicious 😋

Reviews on Google and Yelp are confusing. Maybe we visited on a bad day? Meats were okay. I did enjoy how clean it was. No flavoring, maybe in need to add my own salt here instead. It was nice they had tripas soft and hard versions that were okay. Lots of seating. Probably great for large parties.
Kinda having a love hate relationship pass 6 months I have been going there before they had the restaurant when they would park by the tortilla since they got the restaurant I noticed a few changes with this place aguas are delicious only problem is that it’s seems like the meat isn’t the same not sure added more seasoning or what but it’s starting change little by little also the rice in the burritos lately hasn’t been cooked fully use to love the wet burritos
If you’re looking for a pantry-style breakfast, this place is somewhat close, but not quite the same. The food is decent, though I remember the Pantry used to load your plate with potatoes. At East Los Tacos, the portions are skimpy — there’s more plate than food. I also remember when it blew up on TikTok and there were big lines in the morning, but it’s too bad they couldn’t keep up the momentum. Overall, it’s not terrible, just underwhelming compared to what you’d expect.
$$ Prices are high, but they give large portions. Our food was ready pretty fast but it wasn’t all that hot even though they were not very busy. Cheese inside omelette wasn’t soft and creamy melted, already hardening. It’s like it was already cooked and waiting to be served.
My mother and I came here because it actually popped up on my IG and the food looked good. We are never coming back here again! First off, the staff are rude! They don’t even greet you upon arrival. The food was just bad, very greasy and tasteless! My poor mother even got an upset stomach for 2 days after having this meal! Very disappointing. I honestly wouldn’t recommend for anyone to go here for breakfast!

Food is good, staff is nice. But I swear this place feels like you are eating in prison mess hall. The dim lighting, everyone's conversation echoes lol. A little brighter lighting, a little background music would work wonders for this place. I literally feel like everyone is sharpening shanks under the table lmao.
Ordered theTorta de Lengua, they put very little meat, and I think they charged around $12.... I was really looking forward to this, and I was hoping that it would be great! What a disappointment. I will not order again.
I came here based off a tik tok review expecting the best! For me I love to be served but here you have to order first then sit. The girl bringing the food wore the same gloves she was spraying and cleaning tables getting the dirty plates and moving the trash cans. The coffee was warm , no flavored creamers just half and half and sugar. Food wasn’t hot either it was warm. I was disappointed. It’s just my honest review I hope it helps to better service and be careful with the cleanliness.
Plenty of parking behind building and public parking across the street. Walk up to counter to order and listen for your number for pick up. The bacon is super salty the potatoes have no flavor and the eggs are covered in oil. The bread is soggy as it’s covered on both sides in butter. Nothing special ihop 1 mile away gives a better breakfast. Not worth the cost or trip. If you want your stomach flushed out come here. 1 hour later my stomach wasnt having it. I suggest avoid this place
I ordered food for pick up on my way back home in South Gate. Ordered a wet burrito without sour cream and I get home to find out it’s drenched in sour cream. I was disappointed. Receipt shows no sour cream. Called the store to see what can be worked out which turns out nothing. I need to drive all the way back just to get the right order only. Honestly I understand people make mistakes but how inconvenient of my time and money. I’ve been buying food from them since they had the taco truck on Ford. When it was just their close family working who actually did care about their customers. My nephews went to school with their kids. Now it shows how different the customer service is that it’s just people they have hired and show they can careless. Anthony who was in charge at the time was no help either. Not to mention. The last time before this experience I also placed a pick up order and picked up my food and forgot to pay and the lady forgot to charge. Mistakes happen. We received a phone call shortly after getting home regarding the missed payment asking if we could zelle them the money for the food. I said of course no problem and got their info to Zelle them. My point is how quick they will figure out a way to collect money but not provide customer service or a solution for a customer when they messed up on the order and caused an inconvenience.
