Everything we ate was amazing but the desserts were out of this world. I highly recommend the youghurt puffs, the butter chicken, the 🌶 butter naan, the chocolate dessert and the mango dessert. You will NOT regret it. I will be back over and over again.
Absolutely fantastic food! Very balanced spices on the traditional Indian food such as the fried fish and pork curry. Loved the innovative poutine, chilli cheese naan. I was very pleasantly surprised by how tasty the broccolini was. And to top it all the ParleG ice cream sandwich. Highly recommended.
Was here on Sunday...came back again on Wednesday, what more do I need to say? Both times were at strange hours during the day so it was pretty quiet-as hard for me to believe they would ever be with as delicious as the food is. Id honestly expect a line around the block. We were quickly seated and our servers both times were incredibly attentive. Tried the Yogurt Puffs, Onion Fritters, one of each of the Samosas and Tikka Masala with Rosemary Naan. I would absolutely recommend stopping by to treat yourself to the delicious food! You wont regret the decision.
The variety of Indian food was mainly focused on certain region and elevated it so well. I enjoyed every bit of the food. The desserts were different with a twist. Will be coming back here. They do not serve hard liquor but do have wine and beer. Parking is on the road.
My partner is from India and this is his favorite Indian restaurant in LA. He says it’s the only place that actually makes Indian food to taste right. We love it here.
The food here was amazing! We started with the Maslaa potato fries which were like a 6/10. but then we had the Dahi Puri which was just amazing! The butter chicken samosa and cheese naan were all great, but then the butter chicken and south Indian fish curry had such an amazing taste with the rice. Then for dessert we had the kheer which was great too. I would give badmaash an 11/10, if you're craving indian food definitely come here.
Incredible food, great service, cool neighborhood. Def. recommend. Amritsari fish appetizer, Sheesh kabob, the lamb and the mussels were delicious. Even the Butter chicken kids ordered was really flavorful and Chicken Tikka poutine had great flavors and gravy.

Badmaash was one of the top items on my LA must-eats list, and it definitely lived up to my expectations! We went for lunch on a Sunday afternoon about 10 minutes after they opened, and the place was about half full within the next 15 minutes. Clearly a popular restaurant! Would 10/10 recommend the Butter Chicken Samosas! This was definitely the best samosa I had my entire life. The wrapper was thinking and crispy, and hardly had any oil. The butter chicken on the inside was just perfect. A phenomenal dish overall. We also got the Chilli Cheese Naan 2.0, which was just good. They weren't as cheesy as I was hoping for, but the Naan was decently thick. Maybe I didn't taste the cheese enough, coz my boyfriend said it was really cheesy. The chilli's on the inside and spices sprinkled on the top gave it a nice kick. The dish was good overall, but I'd probably prefer to try something else next time. The Punjabi Chickpeas (Chana Masala) was also quite nice. It had a good tamarind flavor, and was cooked just right. I didn't even need any naan or rice to go with it. Would have liked a little more spiciness in it though. The portion size was much larger than we expected, so that was quite a pleasant surprise! We were also debating on whether or not to get the Chicken Tikka Poutine, but we were quite full already, and not really feeling the fries. The table next to us got some and it looked quite appetizing. They also ordered the butter chicken, which smelled so so good. My boyfriend also ordered a chai, and they got me one too for free. I'm not much of a chai person though, so guess he was happy to have 2! The service was also one of the highlights this afternoon. Everyone was so nice to us and kept checking in. Food came really quick, and the servers were some of the best I've encountered on all my food expeditions. Overall had a great experience, and can't wait to go again. Especially for those Butter Chicken Samosas!
genuinely a phenomenal place to eat. the chicken was so tender you could cut it with your fork, but the texture fit the flavor, which exploded in my mouth. the drinks they offered were also amazing and the staff were incredibly generous.

Had Badmaash on my list of restaurants to try since we love Indian food. This was the first time trying a “fusion” Indian place. Personally, I will be sticking to more authentic Indian places. We ended up getting the dishes under their authentic section as well as a fusion dish. Overall the food was good but not better than the traditional Indian restaurants and the flavours were a bit underwhelming or deviated too much. Our curry chicken had a sour note which kinda threw us off. Now you might ask how would I know what good Indian taste like….we lived overseas and consumed a lot of Indian food in Malaysia, Singapore and India 👍. Still Badmaash is a great place to get experience eating Indian and the service was very friendly.
The staff at this location were the biggest treat! Went for Sunday lunch today and we had the besttttt service 💯 My go-to here be it door dash or at one of the LA locations is always the butter chicken, chicken poutin fries, chilli cheese naan and palak paneer. You can’t eat here without trying these! End your meal with their delish chai and kheer, too much goodness 👌🏾 Thanks guys, see you soon. Always fresh, flavorful and consistent with a touch of fantastic staff members. Ps. Parking can be a pain, plan for street parking or parking lots a few blocks away. It’s a busy street, heads up.
This was my first time at this particular location, though my second visit to the Badmaash chain. Parking was a bit of a challenge—I ended up finding a spot on a side street and walking over. The main road feels a little sketchy after 9 pm, but during the day it’s buzzing with activity and surrounded by some fun experiential shops worth checking out. The restaurant itself has a great vibe—warm lighting, cool decor, and attentive service. Our server was super helpful, and we ordered a variety of dishes (vegetarian, vegan, and meat-based). The options were flavorful and felt fresh and healthy. The rosemary naan stood out as a fun twist, and the dessert—a mango “kulfi” treat—was phenomenal. I’d come back just for that! A few in our group ordered wine, which I found a bit overpriced. Still, the portions were good and the food quality was excellent overall. One odd moment: an influencer walked in with a full camera crew and security. It was distracting and took away a bit from the dinner vibe. Honestly, restaurants should probably schedule that kind of thing during off-hours. Overall, Badmaash continues to deliver solid North Indian flavors in hip, high-traffic neighborhoods. Downtown, Fairfax, and soon Venice—none are easy for parking, but the food is worth the hassle.
The food here was really good and interesting. It was fusion but definitely leans more into the Indian side. The chilli cheese naan was fantastic but was almost like an entree itself and a little distracting to use with the butter chicken. I loved the fried chicken especially using the spicy mayo as a dipping sauce. Totally would recommend
Great food, a bit pricey and portions are smaller than expected but larger than what the server mentioned. A bit loud to have a chat but good to have fun with family. We had a great time and were very satisfied. I recommend it.
We recently dined at Badmaash, an Indian fusion restaurant in Fairfax, LA, and had a decent experience overall. The service and ambiance were great—modern and inviting. Parking can be tricky, but if you’re lucky, you might snag a spot right in front of the restaurant. Given the rave reviews, we were excited to try it out for dinner. We started with the Butter Chicken Samosa. While the flavor was good, the filling was quite dry, likely due to the frying and reheating process. The Papri Chaat, on the other hand, was simple yet delicious—definitely a highlight of the meal. For the mains, we had the Rosemary Naan, Tandoor Roti, Punjabi Chole Curry, and Paneer Butter Masala. The Punjabi Chole had a nice, home-style feel, but the Paneer Butter Masala was quite typical, nothing that stood out from other Americanized Indian restaurants. While Badmaash offers a unique fusion take on Indian cuisine, I wouldn’t call it authentic Indian food. It’s more of an Americanized version, which may appeal to some, but didn’t quite hit the mark for us. Overall, a decent experience, but not a must-try—you won’t miss much if you skip it.
Really nice fresh interior. Booth seats are very comfy. We arrived right at 12 when they opened and restaurant filled quickly. Staff very nice and attentive. All dishes fresh and spiced nicely. Menu recently updated to add a few more traditional dishes to balance out street food options. Parking is not good. Recommend.

We stumbled on this restaurant and it wasn’t bad. Food was good and service as well. Music was a bit too loud and prices were too high. I was a bit disappointed that we had to pay for rice to go with our dishes and the Naan was very small. We really wanted to soak up the remainder of the dish but after two orders of Naan we had to waste the broth. If you don’t have a problem with $$ and have a date night then I’d recommend this restaurant, otherwise it’s just too much for me to go back. Wishing them the best of luck. I love small businesses and I commend these type of restaurants opening. I was happy I tried them.
Badmaash tends to be a cool and hip spot, but the experience left me with mixed feelings. The food itself was delicious — the butter chicken was flavorful and rich, and the rosemary naan was fresh and aromatic. That said, the prices were nothing short of outrageous for what’s essentially “street Indian food.” You’d think that a classic dish like butter chicken would come with at least some rice, but here it’s sold separately, which felt both surprising and a bit nickel-and-dime. The service wasn’t particularly warm or attentive either, and the loud music made it hard to carry on a conversation at the table. While the vibe is clearly trying to cater to a trendy crowd, there are plenty of Indian restaurants around that serve equally good (if not better) food at a fraction of the cost, with friendlier service and a more comfortable atmosphere. Overall, it’s a one-and-done for me — I don’t see myself coming back.

Average food for way too much $$ - Why are fries with sauce $10?! Fried chicken is like fast food chicken tenders but the other grilled chicken was on par with other Indian restaurants but not worth paying a premium for. This is a restaurant that gets a lot of one and done customers and I’d be surprised if there are regulars.
I really want to love love love this place. The food is amazing. Exactly the type of adventurous Indian food LA needs. Deeply flavorful, rich with slow cooked sauces that even thinking about the dishes I’ve tried makes me salivate. Truely exceptional. The service is impeccable - from the moment you walk in the team are attentive, welcoming & yet with a coolness vibe that’s just puts you at ease ready to enjoy. Here the thing: the music. It’s SO LOUD ALL THE TIME. I can’t hear what my friend sitting 3 feet away is saying. I can’t hear the waiter who needed to raise their voice to trying to out vox the constant din of discord pumping out of the 6 or so over driven speakers. The three times I’ve been there its the same experience. I just wish I lived close enough for delivery (although I’d miss the friendly staff experience!). Please BADMAASH lower the volume so your wonderful food can be the experience not the “my roommate is a producer” like atmosphere.

I got 2 samosas and a mango chutney sauce that I didn't even know they charged for and I paid nearly 20 dollars. Portion sizes was disrespectful and the fact that he didn't tell me that I had to pay for the sauce and it was 4 dollars!! Will never come back. And the samosa were a 5 out of 10 the picture I put up is of the sauce and it's barely 2 ounces. (The sauce on the left) And I got other sauces I didn't ask for. And the energy was just dry.
I ordered take out. The food was way below par. Either they didn't have the right person to prepare or ran out of ingredients or both. Or, it's an establishment built on the reputation of gullible non-Indian patrons. The crowd was all non-Indian--so that's most likely it. The so called FBCS was not spicy, at all. Worse, it was just a sad sandwich. Chick-fil-a on a Sunday has better chicken sandwiches. The chana masala fries were so salty that it seemed the pacific ocean was drained out of all the salt for drinking water. The only, somewhat, redeemable item was the mango mousse. I can't, for the love of my life, understand how this place has such high ratings--except the clueless, gullible patrons and the ambiguous items to obscure any iota of authenticity in the name of "fusion".
