Loved the interior design and the classic tunes that were playing. Definitely a mini time traveling experience. Food was good and came out in a timely manner. Our server was very nice. Plenty of sitting inside, with minimal sitting outside. Paid parking available in the back and paid meter parking on the street. Prices were fair too. I will definitely be coming here again.

This place is great. The staff is upbeat and hospitable, and the food is pretty good especially for the price range. I’ve been getting the Kentucky Derby breakfast (eggs, ham, biscuit with gravy dumped on top) and boy that thing makes you wanna slap ya grand mammy it tastes so good. Will definitely stop here whenever we’re in the area. Shout out to the hard-working staff who make the atmosphere so fun and inviting

My experience at Cafe 50s was a 10/10 I feel bad for others that might not have had my experience. I was greeted with warmth, smiles and great service. Going inside during the holiday season felt like a big hug. I ordered what I’d consider a sampler plate with waffles,scrambled eggs, & bacon. I know I know sounds basic but boy was it good! The decor is a plus very retro and cute! Good for photo ops & everyone seemed to be getting work done! I would 100% go back

I had the pleasure of eating here this past Monday it was my first time so I didn’t know what to expect, Daniel our server was amazing. He was so attentive and kind and just full of personality. He made sure to explain the menu to us as well as the large selection of milkshakes and made sure to check on us and how our food was tasting. Daniel truly made this a wonderful experience for me and my friends and I will be coming back again in hopes he’s our server.

They have a wide selection. The club sandwich was elite. The pancakes were good but the cornmeal base causes them to fall apart. The ham wasn’t the right fit for the biscuits and gravy meal, but the grits were great.

I really enjoy the atmosphere of this restaurant. particularly the charm of the staff. The decor has a unique, nostalgic appeal that adds to the overall experience. The food is quite good, though the portions may be on the larger side. I would definitely recommend it!

Great place! My friends and I tried to find some unique old school looking diner and we found it! Huge selections of milkshakes! I recommend Banana with nuts! Food was good! Ambient is 10/10! We really enjoyed!

I found this diner when I was walking around through West City. It has some good food, I had a double cheeseburger which is very very hard to find. There is a big list of milkshakes that can be ordered on the menu and also some big omelettes I've seen someone else order. I'd come back again.

WOW, this place is amazing! We were looking for a 50's Diner and we found the best one! Extremely reasonable pricing for the quality and amount of food you receive. The shakes were amazing as well (did not get a picture). My wife got the Monte Cristo, I got French toast, and the kids got the kids pancakes. Everything was made to perfection. But the item that blew me away (personally) was the Deviled Eggs. They literally brought back memories of my childhood and were the best I've had since childhood. I've tried multiple times to recreate the ones I remember loving when growing up. I've never been able to recreate them. Cafe 50's did that and they were amazing. EVERYTHING was amazing. They even brought me a birthday balloon and retrieved it after I accidentally let it float away to the ceiling. Best birthday meal I've had in a VERY long time.

Café 50's was a great experience for me to go out and explore a new restaurant that represents the 50's. The restaurant itself looks amazing so many photos of famous singers, actors, etc. on the walls, Cool there was a jukebox where you can actual change the music with quarters if you actual was in the 50's. Also a phone booth is there and you can actual call someone which is amazing. The setting of the restaurant was awesome like you were in the 50's, the setting was so cool. The employees dressed as waiters/waitresses from the 50's. :) Loved when I went to the main seating and I saw mickey mouse, goofy, Donald duck, Disney items of the 50's. :) The food was great loved the shakes, hamburgers, fries, etc. :)

This location is right across LACC and like other new locations popping up in the LA Metro Area, they only provide pick up service. However this one also provides a seating area which is pretty clean and tidy. The food here stays consistent with other locations. A few issues I found here though is the fountain drink area needs urgent maintenance. There’s the orange drink that leaks from the spout. That also makes the floor sticky. The waiting time is also a bit longer than other locations but I get it because it’s again a new location. Hopefully they’ll fix these.

Café 50s on Santa Monica Blvd is a blast from the past in the best way. The decor is full on retro jukeboxes at every booth, vintage movie posters, neon lights, and that classic red vinyl diner vibe that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a time machine. It’s fun, kitschy, and actually really well maintained, which adds to the charm. The menu is massive, and I mean massive. You’ll find everything from omelets and pancakes to burgers, melts, and over the top milkshakes. I went for the bacon cheeseburger and fries, and it hit the spot. Fries were hot and crispy, burger was juicy, and everything came out looking just like a diner meal should. The milkshake menu is wild, dozens of flavors. Service was friendly and welcoming, although it did get a little slow once the place filled up. It’s not fast food, so be patient, especially on weekends or during the lunch rush. Still, the staff was attentive, and they kept checking in once the food came out. Prices are fair for the area, especially considering the portions and the experience. It’s definitely a place you go for both the food and the atmosphere. This isn’t some ironic hipster diner, it feels like the real deal, like someone actually cares about preserving that 1950s feel. The only reason I’m giving it 4 instead of 5 stars is that some of the food could use a bit more seasoning, and the wait time might turn some people off if they’re in a rush. But if you’re looking to slow down, soak in some nostalgia, and enjoy a fun meal, this place delivers. The Vanilla Coke is out of this world too. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area, especially for the shakes and the vibe. Great spot to bring kids, dates, or even just grab a solo bite while taking a break from the L.A. madness.

I was excited to try this place. I heard great things but was not impressed with what I got. The place itself was super fun and cool. Lots to look at. Probably a better experience when you dine in. I ordered the tuna melt. On the menu it said rye bread and some other things. This was a basic tuna sandwich on thin white bread. It fell apart while I was eating it. The fries were cold and flimsy. I got the lemon lime pie as well and it tasted like egg. I might try something else next time

The order was fulfilled for nothing

My experience at this store was an absolute disaster. When I went to pick up my order, I learned that it had been given to someone else. When I told the young lady at the counter, she acknowledged the mistake and very politely said the order would be prepared again. Up to this point, there was no problem. However, despite waiting an extra 10-20 minutes beyond what should have been the case, no explanation was given. While I waited silently, an adult woman came out of the kitchen and said my order had been cancelled. This is unacceptable. I placed the order myself, I did not cancel it, and I never received it. Despite this, I was given a false explanation like, "We delivered the order to you." When I asked if they had seen the person who received it confirm it, they said, "No, I didn't." So how is it that the order was given to a random person? The real problem here is trying to cover up the mistake and dismissing the customer with false information. While the young employee honestly admitted their mistake, it was extremely upsetting that this woman from the back tried to gloss over the situation with cunning and illogical lies. Finally, realizing they couldn't fool me, my order was delivered, but the stress, wasted time, and disrespect were unacceptable. I hope this establishment has a manager who clearly explains to the relevant staff that trying to deceive customers is unacceptable. With this kind of service, it's impossible to talk about customer satisfaction.
