Was Kunden über De La Nonna sagen
De La Nonna is loved for its delicious, crispy-crust pizza and cool atmosphere, especially the outdoor seating. The Caesar salad and frozen Aperol spritz are also popular. Some find the hybrid service (ordering inside) unusual and pricey.

De La Nonna is a phenomenal spot with immaculate vibes and delicious pizza! We make it a point to eat here every time we’re in town. From the friendly service and beautiful seating space, to the delightful cocktails and fresh pizzas, I’m always eager to go back! On our most recent trip we enjoyed quite the spread! The burrata and focaccia with fig appetizer was delicious, the Bluefin Tuna app was cold and fresh and the egg plant caponata was fun and spicy! There were pizza options for everyone at the table; crispy pepperoni, a white style pizza and the margarita pizza, nonna style, with peppers baked into the crust! This all paired well with espresso martinis and the ol’ fashie, of course! This is a low maintenance, casual yet ethereal must eat spot in the arts district!! Be sure to stop by!
Future brides looking for a wedding venue in LA -- DO IT!!! I got married here on May 3rd, 2025, and I truly cannot rave enough about De La Nonna and The Let's Go Disco. We had a 120-person wedding and used both spaces -- De La Nonna for our ceremony and reception, and The Let's Go Disco for the after-party. From the very beginning, the team was incredibly accommodating to all of our (many) creative requests. My husband is an illustrator and designer, so we created a fully custom escort wall where every guest was drawn by hand with their table number on the back. The team happily stored away and rearranged furniture to give us space between the two venues to make it happen. In addition to the escort wall, we brought in some rentals like a photobooth, a heart-shaped arch, larger tables and chairs -- not because we needed to (they already had great options), but because we wanted big tables. They accommodated everything with no issues and no hidden charges, truly allowing us to transform the space into exactly what we envisioned. We also wanted a champagne tower, and they had no problem letting us bring in a vendor -- they even helped serve champagne pre-ceremony so guests had drinks while they waited. They provided two DJs, both of whom were amazing -- and if you can request DJ Seano, DO IT. He was truly incredible and MC'd our ceremony moments and wedding speeches flawlessly, collaborating with us to make sure the vibes were exactly what we wanted and that our favorite songs were played all night long. The food was INCREDIBLE and this is another reason we wanted to do it here. Literally every single guest came up to us to tell us how incredible it was - the salads, the pizza, the oysters - everything was PERFECTION. Our day flowed seamlessly from pre-ceremony champagne service, to ceremony, to cocktail hour with amazing hors d'oeuvres, to our dinner reception (complete with speeches and a family tradition game of bingo), and then into The Let's Go Disco for our first dance, cake cutting, and an unforgettable party. We were a little nervous about getting married in DTLA, especially for out-of-town guests unfamiliar with the area, but between the Arts District's private security and the two dedicated security guards provided by De La Nonna/The Let's Go Disco, everyone felt completely safe and taken care of and we had zero issues!!! What truly made this experience exceptional, beyond the food and the chic, beautiful space, was the staff. From planning through the wedding day itself, they were thoughtful, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure everything felt special and seamless. As I was walking down the aisle, I made eye contact with one of the staff members -- and she was crying!! That moment says everything. I truly cannot imagine a better place to get married in Los Angeles. Thank you to everyone -- and especially Jose, Mia, and Patrick -- for making all of our wedding dreams come true.
Well, I can’t believe I’m giving a pizza joint in the art district 5 stars but it’s impossible not to! This place serves up some of the best pizza I’ve had anywhere— and if you follow me, I eat a lot of pizza! They serve these rectangular thick slices with a rather thin crispy crust with a fluffy midsection leading to the toppings. I can’t imagine having a bad slice. The pepperoni was amazing and so was the sausage. Four an appetizer I had the Artichoke Giudia — a dish I eat daily in Rome and basically a fried artichoke Jewish style. This one was a fantastic example with a little American inspiration and a terrific dipping sauce. The salad was great and I’d have to get both of them again when I go back. I had a reasonable priced bottle of wine that was a full liter. I think they called it. The pizza wine, about 70 bucks a bottle. You order at the counter, grab a seat and they bring it to you. I think they would do well to make it full wait service, where you can order your table. It’s a trendy cozy little restaurant that’s quite comfortable and a bit romantic. Highly recommended. I’ll be back very soon.
De La Nonna is one of those places that makes you want to linger over every bite. The vibe is warm, modern, and lively—perfect for a night out with friends. The food was the star. The crispy Caesar-style salad was fresh, crunchy, and generously topped with cheese. The pizzas were incredible—perfectly chewy crust with a nice char, flavorful sauce, and toppings that tasted fresh and balanced. My personal favorite was the one loaded with roasted tomatoes—sweet, tangy, and addicting. Everything came out beautifully plated and portioned just right for sharing. On top of that, service was friendly and attentive without rushing us, even though the place was packed. Drinks were also solid—creative, refreshing, and paired well with the food. Overall, De La Nonna nails it on all fronts: food, ambiance, and hospitality. If you’re in the Arts District and craving standout pizza with a great atmosphere, this spot should be at the top of your list
The pizza is incredible!! I do not know the last time I have had pizza that tasted so good. Crispy crust, soft dough, delicious toppings. As a group we ordered the speical for $79 which was a deal. Salad, 2 pizzas & a bottle of wine! Ordered 2 apps and all 4 of us were STUFFED. We each paid about $35 well worth it. We danced it off next door with the live music! Oh we also found street parking! Perfect night out!
The hostess seemed to be having a rough day but things only got better from there. Delicious food, drinks, and super helpful waitstaff. The frozen aperol spritz was a personal fave. The best pizza I’ve had in LA — I recommend everyone getting their own! I need to go back to try out more of the menu. 10/10
It might not look like much from the outside, but once you step inside a place - it’s a whole new world. They have a big cute outdoor space. You get seated and you go order at the encounter. We got some appetizers - the ceasar salad was really good! Of course, the pizza were delicious. The bread is very soft. And, we all loved the different ones we took. We had to finish with dessert and it was also excellent. A simple menu with great food. Prices were very decent. There is also a bar in the back, in the disco vibe. The whole place has cool decoration and looks very cute. Would definitely recommend for a different gateway and good food.
Omg bomb !!!! I came here and had oysters ceaser salad pizza and an orange wine. We topped it with Granita. Supper delicious. I also speak Italian and as I came in met an Italian family speaking Italian. It felt like Italy 🇮🇹 I recommend this restaurant to all.
This was a hidden gem that a friend of mine had recommended love the vibe in this place, but I really truly appreciate everyone that works there makes you feel welcome. The food was outstanding. The service was outstanding, but the overall experience was one that I will never forget they treat you like family, which is a nice feeling that you don’t experience as we have in the past
My daughter recommended this place so we gave it a try. There was only a handful of people there… it was a Tuesday. We sat in the outdoor area. We ordered two different veggie pizzas and bread sticks (kinda pricey). There wasn’t much to choose from on the menu. The food was more like an appetizer size serving but It was delicious. I have nothing negative to say about the taste of the food or the atmosphere. However, the parking was insane. We parked directly at the curb next to the entrance of the outdoor eating area. It’s metered parking. We had to add coins every 15 minutes… it only allowed 15 minutes before it capped out 👀. I’ve read others say it was an hour meter, well it wasn’t the day we visited. I set a timer on my phone (a ticket would have ruined my day). It was a nice restaurant. I experienced it once but I’m sure I won’t come again.
We walked in for lunch around 2pm on a Saturday and was able to get a table inside. The employee who took our order definitely recommends making reservations for dinner, but lunch you'll probably be fine without. Dinner has 2 exclusive pizzas! Parking is street parking so hopefully you find a meter! Otherwise I think there's valet. The indoor and outdoor seating of this place is amazing. Such a vibe. You order at the front and sit down with a table number (big fan of this). We ordered the Pepp (with a side order of hot honey) and the White pizza. These were AMAZING. Those first few bites out of the oven are heaven. Extremely gooey cheese, crispy edges and crust, and yet the dough is soo fluffy inside. Loved the toppings for both the Pepp and White. Pepperoni had a nice crisp to them and the White was earthy and refreshing. The portions are alright, but I could probably eat 2 pizzas but they're pricey. Probably my favorite pizza in LA!!
Delicious pizza, ultra crispy and they put a lot of love into it! A really fun location with outdoor seating and some events next door.
I love the delicious food and good vibe of this pizza and wine bar. The place was vibrant and decor is chic. One gets a menu but orders and pays at the counter. There were multiple helpful and friendly servers looking out for the diners. The drinks came out quickly. The appetizers and food were served at a nice pace. The yellow tail crudo was fresh and citrusy, the burrata and focaccia was flavorful, the blistered snap peas was amazing. My family loved the sausage and peppers pizza but we concurred that the roasted mushroom pizza was the best one yet. The zeppole and ricotta almond cake were a nice finish to an amazing meal. I recommend that everyone tries this place.
Delicious! Cafe style where after you’re seated, you walk up to order. Loved the relaxed vibe. The pizza was incredible!!

Happened upon this place while walking around. The pizza is a revelation. The location is fantastic. Cozy and light filled dining area. Loved it.
Delicious pizza, ultra crispy and they put a lot of love into it! A really fun location with outdoor seating and some events next door.
I'd give atmosphere a 6 out of 5 if I could, such a cool place! The food was great and surprisingly lighter than you'd think with a thicker crust. The staff was warm and the music was a great selection of some 80's bangers. Will return with more people!
This place is fantastic. I love the vibes of the interior and outdoor patio. My only gripe is how loud the music is inside. I'm so glad we chose to sit outside but the inside is so gorgeous that the music really drowns out the aesthetic. We started with the kanpachi crudo which was pretty disappointing. The sauce was a basic lime citrus, there was hardly a sesame flavor and the pomegranates didn't add much. The kanpachi was way too firm and not a softer meat like it should be and lacked flavor itself. But the saving grace was the star of the show - the pizzas. We ordered a margherita nonna style and the market special which today was the carbonara. the crust on both is phenomenal! So crispy crunchy on the exterior with a chewy airy interior that is doughy but light. It's truly a fantastic crust. The margherita was executed perfectly but the nonna style which is just a calabrian chili paste on top isn't really worth the $2 extra. It's a decent flavor but not so much that it's needed. And that carbonara special was to die for. The golden yolks perfect to creamy perfection, the super crunchy lardon with that meaty taste, the cheesy richness of the sauce, slight kick from the pepper - this was outstanding. So although a few minor mishaps, the pizza is amazing and I would return over and over again for that
De La Nonna is a very cute and inviting restaurant with a great atmosphere. One thing that caught me off guard was the ordering process—you have to place your order inside rather than with a server at the table, which felt a bit unusual for a dine-in experience. I had a delicious glass of white wine, and for my meal, I tried the chopped salad, which was just okay. That said, the staff was very friendly and welcoming, which added to the overall positive vibe.
Their Cesar salad 🥗 it the best on earth. And come here for the frozen aperol spritz is 🤗🤗🤗✨✨✨ and I love their pizza, it’s kind of pricy and the service is ok. I don’t like that you have to walk up and start a tab 😬 but other than that, I love this place esp in the summer/ spring , the patio is cute and the decor is sweet ♥️♥️
The food was delicious and the vibe of the place is so cool. But the service needs helps. There was nothing wrong with the time it took to get our food out, and the food is high quality, but the whole ”hybrid service” setup they have is lacking. It almost feels cheap. They explained to my date and I that you order up front and then a waiter will come and refill your drinks or take any other order you may have. But realistically that didn’t happen. We got our food and basically as we were finishing our meal, someone finally asked if I wanted another cocktail. Also, there seemed to be a disconnect because the person who took my order didn’t seem to know that I already had a table and looked confused as if I didn’t belong there. I felt a little unwelcome. Service system needs some tweaking but overall a great time.
Came here on a rainy day with no Reservations. They were very accommodating given that there was limited availability in seating which I really appreciate. Things I got: - Pepperoni with Hot Honey I wasn’t expecting that the pizza was going to so fluffy. (Didn’t look on yelp before I decided to come here) I’m normally a New York slice type of guy but I did enjoy this. Think of it as focaccia making babies with a pizza and this being their child. Pepperoni wasn’t overly salty which I loved. The edge pieces were the best because it gave it some texture - Caesar salad. Your normal Caesar with more anchovies. Solid - market pizza. Loved this one. There was thick cut bacon on it and the snap peas on top were so sweet. Overall I would definitely come back

I would describe De La Nonna as an elevated pizza restaurant. As with most pizza joints, they serve up beer, salad and pizza, but this not your standard fare. Start off with a craft beer, wine, or a fancy cocktail (or mocktail). Lots of choices to be had. For starters, we ordered the market salad which had a fantastically light tangerine(?) dressing. The dressing on the ceaser salad was a bit heavy, but it was still tasty. The eggplant caponata appeared to have been lightly fried and coated in a sweet and savory sauce. Very good. As for the pizzas, all were insanely good. Each was like a pillowy soft deep dish pizza and they all came with the best crispy edges. IMO the roasted mushroom pizza was the best — and I'm not a fan of mushrooms. Prices are a bit higher than you would find at a typical pizza place, but again, these are not your typical pizzas. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere, chill.
De La Nonna has a really charming setup tucked near the arts district and not far from Little Tokyo. The outdoor patio feels like a garden nook with brick flooring, warm string lights woven through the trees, and cozy seating that makes the space feel relaxed and intimate. Inside has the same inviting atmosphere with soft lighting, plants, and a stylish but comfortable layout. We came in as a family on a Saturday evening and even though reservations were already active, they still managed to seat us. That alone started things on a positive note. The staff was great across the board, attentive without hovering, and genuinely welcoming. A pleasant surprise was that their happy hour actually extends into the weekend. I will never say no to a nine dollar glass of red wine, especially when it tastes better than expected. Price wise, it’s your standard Los Angeles restaurant — not cheap, but nothing shocking either. The appetizers were tasty, although definitely on the smaller side. Where it fell short for me was the pizza. It wasn’t bad; in fact, it had a nice buttery flavor. But the style just isn’t my preference. It felt more like a thick slab of bread with a light layer of cheese, some sauce, and pepperoni added on top. I know plenty of people enjoy this style, but it’s not what I look for when I’m craving pizza. Overall, though, the ambience, service, and drinks were great. I’m giving it four stars because everything around the pizza was genuinely enjoyable — the pizza simply wasn’t my style.
