Ford's Filling Station has good food and fast service. My BLTA had plenty of bacon, fresh greens, and tomato with a little avocado on toasted and buttered country bread. The side salad had a variety of greens with plenty of dressing on the side. My husband's burger was cooked exactly how he wanted it. We were served within just a few minutes of ordering. Quick and convenient.
The overall 3 star rating of this place is hard to believe. I travel back and forth every week in Terminal 5 and can honestly say Fords Filling is one of the best airport restaurants I have ever experienced. Excellent staff and solid choice of food. The Fords burger is top notch. Hermela is a star from the waiting staff!
I really enjoyed Ford's Filling Station. Their signature drinks were well balanced, flavourful, and a just what I needed before a long flight. I had the wings and an order of fries. They were not a true "buffalo" chicken wing but they were really darn good. More homestyle than what you find at most chain restaurants. Their ranch is amazing to boot. This is a great place to stop and have a bite while waiting on your next flight!
Delicious for being in the American terminal. Service was fast. It wasn’t as crowded and crazy as the other places. The food was delicious had the Ford burger and fries. I’ll come here again
One of the better airport breakfasts I've had! There are really only two sit-down options for breakfast in this terminal. This one is slightly pricier, but the food was much better. Got the American breakfast with bacon - potatoes were crispy, bacon was thick and crispy, and I got a bowl of fruit that was more substantial than I anticipated. Overall very worth it. Service can be a bit slow, but that's because they only had one server when I was there. She was very friendly and helpful despite how busy she was. Would def come here for breakfast again in this terminal!
Everything you can expect from an airport cafeteria, plus a evert helpful and friendly Server Juan!
Had a few hours to kill and no Lounge option for our Spirit flight. First bar we passed was packed and smelled like fish. This bar was less crowded. Staff is quick, polite and professional. Drink’s are good and cost is what you would expect for an Airport bar. We were full from eating In-N-Out on our lay over but got some chips to snack on. The bartender served them with the hot salsa from their fish tacos. Great combo with a few drinks. Only negative comments are slightly uncomfortable bar stools and the music. They were playing Rap, Country and Rock. In my opinion, something for everyone pisses everyone off. Pick a lane. Overall would recommend.
I had the egg and cheese sandwich and coffee. Both very tasty. Service was very fast and attentive. Nice staff. Would go again.
Absolute best vibes of an airport restaurant I have ever experienced, by a long shot. This is entirely due to Joseph (I think that’s his name!), who made getting 6:30 AM breakfast on a Thursday tolerable—even fun! He was kind and funny and charming and not at all creepy to a young woman traveling solo (a low bar but surprisingly rare). I looked around as he was interacting with people and I saw smiles and heard people laughing the whole time. At 6:30 AM! On Thursday!! At LAX!!! Hats off to you—your genuine joy and enthusiasm absolutely made my (and I’m sure a lot of other people’s) day. Thanks so much. 😊 (The food is solid, too, unless you’re getting yogurt, in which case it’s more of a liquid. 🤠 Also, it’s pretty tasty for airport food—my breakfast burrito was surprisingly well-made and large.)
This place had good sized burgers and the drinks were great. Good sit-down place to hang out before your flight. The service was good. There is a 20% gratuity for checks over $75. I think this gratuity has become a standard across some restaurants in LAX.
We had lunch at Ford's in LAX Terminal 5 while waiting for our boarding to start. I picked Ford's because it seemed quiet and had padded seats. The waiter, Joseph, was a true delight. Polite, funny and engaging, he didn't have an ounce of L.A. snobbery in him. The real surprise was the food. I'm still thinking about that Smoked Turkey sandwich with pimento cheese. The salad was very fresh, dressing delicious and the beers were ice-cold. Truly a lovely and nourishing lunch before a long journey home.
Great service by Hermala C! The host was also great. Prompt, warm, and friendly. The food was tasty, and fresh. They do stick to breakfast/lunch windows for the respective sections of the menu. For breakfast you have the traditional breakfast items, and access to the burgers/sandwiches tho! No salads. For airport food, not too inflated in terms of pricing. And the taste and quality was on par with a solid real world spot.
I really liked this place, but the reviews are not great. But for me, the host was nice and the server was quick and happy and knowledgeable. I had an anejo tequila old fashioned, which was nice and sweet but also familiar. The Bloody Mary wasn't anything like a traditional one tho, a bit more smokey and harsh, but I still enjoyed it. The fish tacos were great, just the right amount of spice and flavor. Of course it's pretty expensive being in the airport, but I don't think it's fair to factor that into the assessment. I also think it's owned by Harrison Ford, but that probably doesn't matter either, haha.
Best wings I have ever had! Must have! Perfect spice and hint of fire! Fast service and relaxing atmosphere for being in the middle of the airport. Good music. But if you're visiting, try the wings.... Incredible!! Burger was also pretty good:)
With a back entrance to Gates 55A and 55B inside of LAX Terminal 5, this restaurant with a cute copper bar is an excellent place for drinks and food in the airport. There's hightop bar seating, a regular dining area, and a to-go cashier at the entrance for purchases. Bartenders were super on it, places to charge your phone and a couple of TVs at the bar - all while you can still keep an eye on your flight gate and hear any flight information before boarding.
Was worried about food in this terminal, given reviews. THIS PLACE IS GREAT! BLTA was flavorful & perfectly toasted and fries were crispy. Go here!!

So pleasantly surprised by a wonderful dining experience at this cpk! My server was friendly, attentive, thoughtful and personable. I asked for over medium eggs which most restaurants usually can’t get right, but they did. Service was fast. Chill vibes. 10/10 would recommend.

Tried huevos rancheros, and tasted really good! Not a cheap place. Let's say it's decent for the price. The server was very polite, and offered Good service.
Their $21 burger, medium-rare, is as black-and-white as an unsullied coloring book. Its accompanying lettuce is more wilted than my crumbling back. The bacon is as carbonized as a charcoal briquette. I was 28 when I started waiting to be served and 29 by the time they brought me the check. …but, my brother in LAX, YOU are the one who made your way to Terminal 5. It ain’t Michelin star cuisine, it’s one of the three places still open and serving food in the entire airport. This is not the time for pickiness. This is the time for shutting up and trudging to your redeye.
The BLTA tasted amazing but it was a little pricey. Seated right away and lots of attention from the waitress. Terminal 5 is fairly small and there isn't many options. But this place was Clean, friendly and good food. I would recommend.
Ate a quick dinner here before our flight at this restaurant inside Los Angeles Airport. The menu had a lot of good choices such as pizza, hamburgers and a large variety of sandwiches. I ordered a BLT and French Frys (see photo). The prices were typical of an airport restaurant (always more expensive). My husband ordered a bowl of Tortilla Soup, which was a fairly small serving size, and the soup was 'okay', but not good enough that he would order again. The service was good, but not great, and that is the reason for my 4 Star Review. The wait staff wasn't very enthusiastic or friendly. The seating was comfortable, and the music was pleasant (not too loud like the adjacent 'Rock and Roll' restaurant). Overall, we enjoyed our pre-flight meal at this Airport restaurant.
Had what I thought was a small menu, but I liked my burger (fries were decent). Service also decent (not super quick but not super slow).

My flight was delayed so I needed some place to chilling out. I got couple drink to kill my time before aboard. Service was regular and the bar looks like a lonely person hanging out. Understanding everything at the airport will be an extra price but you buy the entertainment to make you forget about boring time so that is the price to pay.
Headed to the East Coast, and since I've been to Rock N Brews many times, I decided it was time to try something new. The Filing Station was right next door. Our server alerted us immediately that their system was down, so they were cash only. He was quick and friendly. The burger and fries could use some improvement—I wasn’t a fan of the lukewarm fries but didn’t want to send them back. The burger costs more than Rock N Brews and the portion was smaller. Next time, I’ll probably head across the way for some Mexican instead.
Not the best but also not the worst. The service here was good. But the food came out over 25 min after ordering. Which may be a concern if your flight is close. My Berger was good and made to order. But the salad had some old leafs, that I needed to pick out. My wife's salad with chicken had a lot of wilted pieces and the chicken was pre cooked. Like I said. Not the best food but also not the worst.
Had breakfast here while waiting overnight for our flight. Best were the potatoes because they were hot. Coffee wasn’t the greatest…wasn’t the best but wasn’t the worse, expect to pay airport prices. Wait wasn’t long but can see it getting filled pretty quickly as space wasn’t much.

The California pizza kitchen food was good but the cost of my watermelon drink was $13.50. Absolutely crazy! And, the prices are not marked… This needs to change

Good place to go if you want to be price gouged. The reviews of this place speak for themselves. For one Corona and one bloody marry it was $33. I get things in LA are more expensive. But come on. Nobody in their right mind, rich or poor, would see this as a good value. The bloody marry was good, but not for that price. Overall, I would skip this place if ever in LAX.
The place is worn (table tops are wood and all chipped and scratched) and not very clean (there was trash beside my foot and under my bench seat). I ordered a bottle of wine (sleep aid for a red eye flight to the east coast) and food for two. The check arrived with a 20 percent gratuity added. A note said, "20 % gratuity added to all bills more than $75." I almost always tip 20% (waited tables in college) but I've never seen a gratuity added to a bill in the US unless it is for a large party. When a gratuity is added automatically it is typically 15% because that is the "standard" tip and more is for really good or exceptional service. Pricing at LAX is already inflated for food and beverages and a gratuity is supposed to be discretionary or "gratuitous." What was worse was that after I gave my credit card the slip had a line item for you to add a gratuity and then total it before signing. If you didn't look at the itemized bill you would not know you were already charged a 20% "gratuity." It's all a bit slimy. My advise: Eat elsewhere or make sure your bill isn't over $75 at this dirty, slimy establishment!
Way over priced! Automatic gratutity? Terrible service, and forced to tip. Short pours, terrible service, over priced. 2 beers, 4 shots, chips, burger, and a tostada... 178$. What joke, PF Changs was cheaper, better food and great service. Do your self a favor and visit any other place in LA X ... JUST NOT HERE
I got a burger and fries with a beer. The burger is $16 and change. Not sure the cost of the beer but the total came out to $30... The apparently didn't have frenah fries so they gave chips instead. The burger was just ok, not worth the price but what is at the airport? The beer was called allagash and I would definitely recommend giving it a try because it was good! Couldn't sit at the tables because they had them roped off so had to sit at the bar.
I am a bit outraged. Just ate here. I asked for a tequila coffee for myself and my partner. The bill arrived … they charged $44 for the tequila and then charged a seperate $8 for the small splash of coffee. Yes !!! $52 dollars for 2 drinks 🍺. In addition, the server wouldn’t remove the coffee charge. Then … Because our bill exceeded $75, he automatically added 18% service charge. I feel totally ripped off.
What a horrible experience at this place! Not only was the bartender super unfriendly and slow, the $22 burger was horrible. Never had the server even check on me to see if I was okay after taking a bite of my food I had to run to the bathroom to throw up. I asked for a glass of water and it took over 20 minutes to get it. I walked away unhappy and hungry. 🤮🤮🤮🤮 Very unfriendly service!!!!!
My wife had asked for a Margarita 101, the price on the menu was 14 dollars, then the bartender offered a flavored margarita, I thought they would have a small up charge for it but it ended up costing us 28.50!! Double the price just for a squirt of mango! Absolutely ridiculous, the fact that the bartender didn't even mention it would be that much of a difference is nonsense!
This restaurant does not take food allergies serious at all. The absolute worst restaurant experience I have ever had in my life. Server was not attentive at all. Manager was not helpful either. Had to ask several times if they fried in peanut oil because I am deathly allergic and the lady kept saying it was frying oil but would not tell me what kind. No drink refills or anything at all was ever offered. When we got the check I only ordered a BLTA which is about $24 on the menu. They added automatic gratuity for being over $75 which clearly $24 is not $75. Manager would not take it off. Overall terrible experience would not eat here if it was the last restaurant on Earth.
Friends had breakfast before flight. The waiter came to the table and asked if they had any questions about the menu and told one of them that he was listed as a menu item on the bottom of the page - Ewwww! He then came back to take the order and when she ordered eggs he said “How would you like your eggs, other than fertilized by me?” gobsmacked. think he got the vibe and backed way off, but really!?! What is wrong with some people!?!
Experience was a joke. The floors were sticky, and the cleanliness was questionable. I was charged $16 for a yogurt and fruit bowl that had literally a spoonful of yogurt—completely ridiculous. To top it off, they had bottled water sitting on the table when we arrived, but never mentioned it wasn’t complimentary. We opened it, only to find a $9 charge on the bill. It felt sneaky and dishonest. Not worth the money or the experience.
You should visit another place to eat. This place forces a 20% tip if your order is $75 or more. We ordered food for only 3 people so it wasn't hard to reach the mandatory tipping threshold. This is mentioned at the bottom of menu, however. The restaurant should be responsible for providing their workers a liveable wage. Patrons shouldn't be forced to contribute extra towards this end. We had no other issues.
Bartender gives me a bill to sign that says "subtotal, tip, total" as you'd expect, nothing itemized. I flip to the receipt behind it, still not itemized. Flip back to the 3rd receipt, itemized, showing 20% has already been added in gratuity because my tab was over $75. You really wanted me to tip with no indication gratuity was already added when I've already tipped $18 to get the total to $116.55??? To be clear, I have zero issue with a mandatory gratuity, especially at an airport. The fact that I had to dig for it because I was suspicious and the bartender intentionally hid it is what I won't stand for. Please go out of business thank you.
Dude. When I think about doing the least, I now think of this place. I LOVE impossible burgers so I was excited to try theirs out. The burger was over cooked, no seasoning whatsoever, and they literally opened a $1.50 bag of chips and dropped them on the plate with some ketchup lol If I’m spending $60 on ONE entree and two mediocre drinks, I’m expecting at least the food is bomb. Throw some Worcester sauce on that mug with some creole seasoning or at least some Laury’s seasoning. Some special sauce, avocado… Product/service vs value…I would say don’t get food. Eat before your trip, bring snacks, or just starve until you get to your destination. Get that bag of peanuts during the flight to hold you over.

I ate there last Wednesday evening. My server/bartender was JUAN. Everything was fine until I saw today instead of taking the $100 cash and putting the rest of my bill ($93) on my credit card, he charged my card $173 and did whatever he wanted for an extra tip after he already got gratuity on top of an extra tip I was already giving him. Very unacceptable and unprofessional. There’s no way for me to call and figure out what happened and had I was never given a receipt back after paying. I work hard for my money and that’s was incredibly cruel.
