9/28/25 - Had a taste for good Chinese Food and ordered our regular and some new dishes. New dishes - Fried Shrimp with Sweet & Sour dipping sauce, Chicken with Garlic Sauce and Yang Chow Fried Rice and, of course, Thai Ice Tea. ALL of the food was Delicious! 😋 The services was very friendly and helpful. Great place for casual dining with family and friends. ************ First time trying this place and was very surprised how close it was from our home. It is very convenient that they are opened until 9:30 pm. We ordered their assorted appetizers, Kung Pao shrimp with peanuts, honey glazed shrimp, sweet and sour pork, their mixed chow Mein. Food was freshly made with great ingredients, prepared "perfectly" and served while hot from the kitchen. The food was VERY Tasty and De-li-cious! Their lemonade was great. They have a variety of unique variation of ice teas. I got their Jasmine ice tea. The price was very reasonable, the service was very attentive and friendly, and we just love the cozy, quaint setup. Very nice and comfortable atmosphere while dining. We were able to find parking during the weeknights. Right in front of the restaurant. Many of their regulars came by to pick up their orders. This restaurant has a neighborhood vibe to it, which we were exactly looking for (with great tasty food, of course!) This place was a GREAT find. We will definitely be coming back again! Highly recommend this place.
Snorlax mission: ✅ Santa Monica came THROUGH with the GIGANTIC Max debut, and yeah—I had to have him. Caught three, including a ✨Shiny 3-star✨—mission accomplished. But after a sun-roasting session ☀️ and feeling famished, my partner hit me with a surprise detour. 🚗💨 That’s how we found K & A Canton Restaurant on National Blvd, and WOW—where has this place been all my life?? No-frills, locals-only vibes. You just KNOW when something bomb is about to happen. Yeah. It happened. 🔥 Hot & Sour Soup—tangy, spicy, perfectly balanced. Felt like an OG classic, but better. 🍗 Aromatic Chicken—juicy, flavorful, packed with all the right spices. TOTAL HIT. 🥡 Takeout lineup—Garlic Chicken, because I already knew I’d want more later. Staff? Sweet & chill. Food pickup? NONSTOP. This spot is THE real deal. 🚀 10/10. Will be back. 🥡 Bring Tupperware. 🐻 Snorlax approved. Drop that review NOW—this place deserves the love. 🔥 Peace 🤙🏽
Great Chinese food here. Ordered their dinner set and good portion. The set comes with soup, spring rolls, fried wonton & steam/fried rice. Recommended.
We came for their lunch special. Portions are huge! We ordered eggplant and lo mein with chicken which came with a delicious egg roll and your choice of soup and a side of fried rice or steamed rice. Staff was friendly and accommodating.
A very nice atmosphere inside that can be a warm family dinner space. Well cooked, tasty food that is piping hot, and mouth watering delicious. We sat in the car while we waited and were pleasantly surprised when our order was brought to our car unexpectedly before we had the chance to go inside to check on it.
Always stop here when in the area. Food is authentic and cooked to order. Love it!!
Friendly staff. They serve a lot of food. The parking is easy. A great spot for some local fast chinese food

I’ve been coming here since I was a child. Native to area. One of the best (not so expensive) Chinese food spots in the area. They have combos for days, catering to all appetites, and many different options on their menu. When I think of authentic Chinese (American) takeout, this is what I think of. Eating in is also definitely a vibe, especially with the portions they give you. Still one of my favorite spots in LA
The BEST restaurant EVER. The food is SPECTACULAR and the service is TOP TIER. The prices are cheap and portions are large. I wish everyone who works here a WONDERFUL life.
This place always has prompt service and delicious, hot food. When I really need comfort food, I always get the war wonton soup and the chicken lo mein. Prices are always fair and the delivery driver is always very polite. Glad to have this place in my neighborhood.
I’ve been coming to K&A Chinese Restaurant since I was about 12 or 13 years old, and it’s still one of my favorite spots. The food has always been amazing, and the quality has never changed. Their orange chicken is an absolute must—seriously one of the best you’ll ever have. I’ve kept coming back for years because everything is consistently delicious and comforting. Highly recommend this place!

good prices, good service, and lots of parking makes it a good spot for a quick sit down lunch
Old school Chinese food ( Nostalgia). Chinese food is my go to' food. But the last few years it's been disappointing, high prices low OBVIOUS' quality but today while sitting in the rain outside of Von's I decided to walk in and just order. I got the family meal ( for 1) $18.99 tangerine beef, fried rice, egg roll, wonton soup ...it was delicious. Trying to get chinese/Asian takeout for one person is like $40-$50 if you want some variety and I usually end up disappointed. But $20 plus a tip for takeout is fine by me....just what I been looking for and not too far especially when there's no traffic...Will definitely be back

I ordered Szechuan chicken and shrimp fried rice. The broccoli and vegetable add-ins in the Szechuan chicken were great and fresh, but the chicken itself was a bit mushy. It just didn’t have the texture of chicken, which was a little offputting. I ordered takeout, but the service was decent.

The food was awful, the fried rice was only rice no egg or vegetables. The sesame chicken was bad I definitely don't recommend

For $22, I ordered veggie lo mein and one shrimp egg roll. Got 4 veggie egg rolls instead of shrimp. The lo mein is super dry and flavorless with noodles stuck together, indicating it was reheated from an old batch and not freshly made. Food was ready in 10 mins, so this explains why. Would not recommend. Edit: I became unwell after eating this food (first night and second as leftovers) on two separate nights. Do yourself a favor and PASS
I was craving some original Chinese food, I kept passing this place on my way to work so I finally got the chance to go, I was craving some pork fried rice, because their was a restaurant in Venice that was called canton kitchen the original and their pork fried rice was the best ever I was addicted to it believe me when I tell you this it was absolutely the best and the rest of their food was also very good, but the place finally closed down it was very sad for me because now I'm looking for a good canton place to get my rice, which brings me back to this place so I walked in the restaurant and said ok looks dicent so as soon as I was going to place my order I heard this dark rude voice asking me what would you like to order in a rushing tone and said to myself damn can you at least give me a minute to look at the menu but that wasn't going to happen, that to me was a green light, so got my food took it home and guess what the rice was the worst I've ever had, it tasted old very salty and fishy with stale pieces of pork, I didn't even bother to eat the rest, not only did I get the worst service but food to go with it, people do yourselves a favor go to panda express for a better priced and definitely fresher meal, this place shouldn't even be open for the public period.

Ordered king po chicken. Not edible. just chicken skin and fat. Took two bites TERRIBLE The waitress never asked me if I wanted to take it to go. She must be used to people not eating their lunch. AVOID
Walked in. We weren’t even aknowledged. After standing at the front for 5 minutes we seated ourselves. Still no one said anything to us. After 5 minutes we walked out. Total turn off to be ignored.

This was the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. That’s not the worst part! The server was super rude to us and rushed us almost yelling at us to make a decision. Super uncomfortable we felt pressured and Very very unsatisfied.
