Went for late lunch and the clear broth beef noodle soup did not disappoint! not too spicy and very satisfying with good portions of meat and greens to every bite. There is a great happy hour with 50% off beers and 20% off noodle dishes from 3-6 pm. Will definitely be back soon.

The zajiang mian, spicy beef noodle soup and dumplings with chili oil were very good. We also got the lotus chips which was fried and decent. My friend ordered the steamed egg with minced pork that was also very good. You can choose your spicy and it matches fairly right with the spice and mala level. We also got the main cold combo that came with the spicy black fungus, Chengdu beef jerky, sweet & sour seaweed and spicy radish that were all very good. The staff was very nice and attended to our needs. You have to order your food thru the app/QR code which is slightly annoying but it works once you go thru the order system and get the hang of it. The music inside has a chill vibe to it and there are a lot of large windows and sunlight inside the restaurant. The parking situation in that area is hard to find and chaotic.

As i was walking toward were i parked ny car. I stumbled upon this restaraunt. I was starving so i took the opportunity to check it out. The place was packed, but the waiter promptly cleaned a table for me. I ordered sweet tea, pickled cucumber, and spicy beef soup noodle (reg spicy). The food was fresh and oh so tasty. Even though i live far i will definitely come here again.

I got to try my first Mian at the San Gabriel's branch. It took me about 45 minutes to drive there so I got really excited when I learn about a new branch being opened so near from where I live. 🤩 Anyhow, in regards to the food, always amazing! I wasn't disappointed as they taste exactly the same at this branch. For those who are trying out Mian for the first time and you can take spice, go for their ChengDu ZaJiang Noodle as it is my favorite. The noodle's texture is cooked to perdection, the seasoning isn't too salty and I like how they add vegetables 🌿 in there too! I recommend getting their fried chicken as well as they are pretty crispy and crunchy. 🍗 As for drinks, it is pretty standard here to order their Mung Bean Tea (if you are coming with a party of 2, it's better to only order 1 cup and share it as they do free refill). Side note, the menu in this branch is a little Americanized as there are some items missing like intestines (I know, you probably moved your neck backwards after reading this, but they are delicious!). 😏 Tips: you used to be able to park on the parking structure of the building about 2 blocks away. So, parking just got a little more challenging now. ** I RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT if you love Asian noodles and appreciate good service! **

The portion sizes are really big and the flavors are on point. I was really craving some sichuan spicy noodles and this hit the spot. Will be coming back next time I’m in LA.

My first time visiting this hidden gem on West Adams. Their bold flavors and perfect execution ranging from cold apps, to dumplings and noodle dishes. I tried their new Kung Pao Chicken, and wow--it's a must-order. The balance of spice, crunch, and just the right amount of sweetness made it one of the best versions I've had anywhere in LA. Of course, the classics here never disappoint. The dumplings are tender, juicy, and packed with flavor; the spicy beef noodle soup has that rich, comforting broth with just the right kick; and their fried rice is so good you could happily eat it on its own or alongside everything else. They can also adjust spice levels. Beyond the food, the vibe at Mian really adds to the experience. Whether you're coming for a casual dinner with friends or just craving some of the best Chinese food in town, Mian delivers every time. Highly recommend checking it out--you'll definitely want to come back again and again. extra NOM

This was my first experience ever trying sichuan noodles. The customer service was great, but the food was even greater. I highly recommend the clear broth beef soup. Everything was absolutely delicious. Very affordable and very tasty!

I cannot recommend this place enough! Such amazing noodles. Our favorite are the Chengdu Zajiang, Spicy Beef and the Tomato and Beef. The noodles are always al dente with a great bite, and that are generous with the toppings. They have a great happy hour deal too.

I can’t believe this place doesnt have a higher rating. Came here with my celiac friend- great GF options. I had the spicy beef soup and it was delish. Mung bean soup/tea is perfect compliment to the spice. Dumplings were fab as well.

My favorite Chinese food spot in Los Angeles. Amazing beef and dumpling dishes ranging from medium to insanely spicey depending on my preference that day. Stellar soups and the delivery always comes out as good as if I'm actually sitting in the restaurant. Marcos always delivers fantastic service if you go in person.

Starter, sides are interesting. Shrimp popcorn and pumpkin cake taste cute. Cold appetiser set looks better than tastes. (Beef is too dry to chew) Beef noodle: generous portion but mediocre flavour. Definitely not authentic as they should be or as I have expected Golden wonton: tastes like dumpling as the pastry is too thick Pork noodle (杂酱): a bit culturally offended that the extra hot version uses “sweet peppers”. This is not Sichuan spicy or Chongqing spicy. (I am only mentioning Chongqing as that is what they were mentioned on the LA times, displayed in store) So if you are looking for authentic flavours, not this branch for sure. But I applaud the owner to have established this spot and spread this food to more people! Well done.

Had dinner and really enjoyed the meal. The stars of the show were probably the chili oil wontons (very juicy and lots of pork with a thin dough layer) and the jia jiang noodles. The thing about the in person menu that is helpful is that they have a spicy meter as well as a numbiness meter indicating how much peppercorn is being used and you can thereby choose the dish most appropriate to your taste or even discover what works best for your palette. The decor inside is newly renovated and minimalist with lots of wood and metal touches. The furniture is quite heavy so just be ready for that lol

Solid lunch at Mian. Our third visit and things were very yummy. Szechuan peanuts rock as does do the small appetizers like the wood ear mushrooms and seaweed salad. Enjoyed the thousand year egg dish far more than at other restaurants - creamy and mild. Good idea with the green salsa! The noodles are super. We loved the spicy beef rib noodles. This time we also got the mapo tofu and tomato and beef noodles. No disappointments yet!

The food here is really good! But it just felt like something was missing in terms of flavor. I like that you can order on your phone, plus the food came out really fast. Servers were great! Only downside is the parking. There is street parking but it was really hard to find.

We were recommend to this place by some friends who love noodle’s and dumplings wich is made fresh in house. Nice thing about this place is they have an open kitchen where you can watch them making your food. Some of the food kind spicy but it can be adjusted to how you like it. I started with spicy beef soup noodles, and chicken chili oil dumplings. The flavor was on point very delicious and fresh. It wasn’t very spicy and I was able to enjoy it. We really enjoyed every dish we ordered, and definitely will be back again.

My recent visit to left me disappointed. Mian's offerings not only failed to impress, but just failed. The mapo tofu, a dish I usually relish for its bold flavors, was disappointingly bland, requiring additional seasoning at home just to make it palatable. We stopped eating it after 2-3 bites because it just lacked taste. Doused in peppercorn oil and that was it. Even the spicy beef noodles lacked the signature zhuzh that sets apart exceptional Sichuan fare. While the 木耳black fungus mushrooms were passable, they veered away from the traditional preparation. However, amidst the culinary letdown, it's worth noting that the service at Mian was excellent. The staff was attentive and friendly, and my water glass never went empty.

After ordering $30 of food for pick up. Server and only other person besides me in the entire restaurant denied my request to eat inside. I was embarrassed for the place. No utensils included. The tea is overly sweet. Mung bean. Undrinkable The food was meh. Forgettable. Bland. The spicy beef noodle soup had beef chunks with a lot of fat. Soup was flavorless. Beef in chilli sauce is tiny and absolutely a no go. Thin beef with questionable quality.

I had a really disappointing experience with this restaurant. I placed an order for delivery, then changed it to pickup by mistake. When I tried to switch it back to delivery, the system wouldn’t allow me to make the change, so I canceled the order on time to avoid any issues. Despite canceling within the allowed time, the restaurant refused to issue a refund. On top of that, when i reorder from here, items were missing from my order, which makes this even more frustrating. Mistakes happen, but how a business handles them matters. Unfortunately, the lack of flexibility, missing items, and refusal to refund left a very negative impression.

Been multiple times for dining in and taking out. Food always great. There’s always something wrong with the service from unprofessional staff to ordering online only for them to not have the item available and refusing to replace at the store. Always giving the place second chances because the food is good, but always leaving frustrated one way or another.
