Eye opening beer selection and friendly staff. Great sports watching venue. Going to come back and play some tunes on their loud jukebox!
A very, very nice experience and the best bartender Agatha she is AWESOME and the waiter Pedro assisting are an amazing team I really recommend the place when she's there
This place is Bombay....our waitress made fire dink happy hour off the chain....touchtunes had the tunes.....most deff spot to do happy hour......them old fashone no joke during happy hour...... Buzz buzz!
Great pub with huge TV screens for sports watching. Typical pub food but they also have accommodations for gluten-free options. You can also order from the Indian restaurant next door and have it delivered by the same crew. They have happy hour options which are great deals. The staff are friendly and the management is very helpful. Also they have very safe socially distant covet protected outdoor seating. It's a great Los Feliz spot to watch a game or have happy hour.
One of the best NFL football experiences in my lifetime. The bartenders we're super cool & attentive, generous pours on their drinks. Everyone there was happy to be there + my Niners winning probably put me in an even BETTER mood. I'll be back again!!!!
Great place to sit and have a lunch beer. Went in on a Friday afternoon and it was quiet. Ordered garlic fries and a double ipa, both were delicious. Bar tender was nice, maybe a little quiet. Would definitely recommend this bar!
Drinks good and food better than expected. I do not recommend the crudo or tuna tartare, but the tacos, salsa, pate, and plantains were excellent. Every single drink hit the mark. Atmosphere is cool too
Stunning restaurant with food that absolutely delivers. The mole and queso fundido were unreal, and the carrots were the sleeper hit of the night — recommended by our fantastic waiter, who gave us attentive, perfectly paced service. Great wine, great vibe. Will definitely be back.
Nestled away from the city's relentless buzz, Mirate offers a tranquil escape into an earthy embrace. The restaurant distinguishes itself with an atmosphere that feels both grounded and elevated, achieving a delicate balance that's rare to find. From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in a sense of calm, a world away from the urban frenzy. The design thoughtfully incorporates natural elements, with warm, wooden accents and lush greenery that evoke a sense of being in a serene garden. Soft, ambient lighting complements the earthy tones, creating an intimate and inviting space. It's a setting that encourages you to slow down, breathe deeply, and savor the moment, making it an ideal spot for those seeking respite from the city's hectic pace. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, Mirate's commitment to creating a peaceful environment is evident in every detail. The buzz of conversation, the attentive yet unobtrusive service, and the overall sense of harmony contribute to an experience that nourishes the soul as much as the body.
I came here for brunch and had such a wonderful experience. The cocktails here are something special. I got the mi sancho and the coconut margarita, they were both some of the best cocktails i've ever had! We started with the salsa, it was super fresh and addicting. Next they brought out the fried chicken tacos, which were my favorite food item, they were insanely delicious and i'm so glad we ordered them! The queso was another delicious dish. We also got the yucca y plantains, it was a very unique and flavorful dish, yum. The last thing we got was the mollete, the guac was fresh and the sourdough had such a great tangy flavor. I loved every single thing we ordered and would definitely come back. The actual restaurant was also so cool i loved the open air atmosphere and tropical vibe! The service was great too. Love this place!
One of the top LA bars at the moment. Actually, they’ve been ranked among the best in North America and just recently ranked one of the best in the world. Unbelievable ambiance & environment. You don’t even feel like you’re in LA, but in an exotic location. I’m an avid cocktail fan and I’ve never seen a Mezcal selection even half as vast as they have at Mirate. The cocktails are on point and the staff super friendly. The brunch menu was glorious and the combination of drinks & bites our waitress Emma guided us through was top notch. Cannot believe they’ve been here for 3 years and this is my first time visiting Mirate. Cannot wait to go back.
Mírate – Los Angeles, CA On my daughter’s recommendation, we visited Mírate to celebrate her 29th birthday — and what a delightful surprise it was! The restaurant immediately reminded me of Cuina in Roma Norte, Mexico City, especially with its beautiful tree centerpiece that brings life into the dining space. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and vibrant, setting the stage for an excellent evening. The service was outstanding — attentive without being intrusive, and every staff member made us feel welcome. For our meal, I ordered the Taco El Cochito: roasted pork, honey-filled truffle, salsa cerda cruda, and chicharrón crumbs on a perfectly made corn tortilla. My wife had the Taco El Gobernador, featuring shrimp, poblano peppers, quesillo and Chihuahua cheese, with pickled onions on a corn tortilla. She’s usually quite particular about her food, but she loved it — and so did I! As a Tequila and Mezcal enthusiast, I was impressed by their premium selection. They even offered Pulque, which I hadn’t enjoyed since my visit to Oaxaca de Juárez. One sip brought me right back to Mexico — I felt at home. Final thoughts: Mírate offers a fantastic blend of authentic flavors, a great atmosphere, and attentive service. It’s a wonderful spot for special occasions or simply indulging in some of Mexico’s finest culinary traditions.
Worth the hype!!! Beautiful decor, plating, and dishware. The cocktails were simply excellent, the portions were generous (especially the cochinita pibil, glad we had a good group to share), and all the flavors and textures were interesting and delicious!! Great place to bring a larger group, date night, or to impress out-of-towners with some inventive and elevated Mexican food.
Absolutely loved our experience at Mirate! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The food was on another level — bold, fresh, and full of authentic flavor. What really stood out was the food presentation — every dish looked like a work of art. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an elevated Mexican dining experience!
What an amazing dinner! Our server who was in “training” did an outstanding job! Everything we ate was so good, from the appetizers, mocktails, entrees and yes we had to try the dessert! Everything was well seasoned, hot items hot and cold were cold. The only thing I was upset by was the fact that Tracy since she was in training didn’t get to keep her tips. Standard practice I know, I have 40 years in the food industry.
Came here for brunch and the food was phenomenal. I tried the Croque Senora and Mollete. Both were delicious and were plated beautifully. I didn't get a chance to try their drinks but they do have an extensive cocktails, mocktails, and spirits menu. I also really liked the decor and ambiance of the whole place. It has 2 floors and is open-aired so the whole place feels very breezy and inviting. Definitely a good brunch spot to impress your friends or date.
Greatest experience in a while at a restaurant in Los Angeles. Service was great, walking to our table often, asking if we were fine, refilling water, cleaning up plates, . . . The patio atmosphere was also amazing with many small groups sharing spaces, celebrating, having fun. . .very clean and the set up under the trees is perfect. Foooood highly recommended to try the mole blanco. Spicy, creamy, veggies grasshopper a delicacy in Mexican food. The aguachile ceviche the pescado! And I really liked the bold garlicy flavor of the salsa de molcajete with the tostadas.
Treated myself to a great Saturday brunch and cocktail! Expansive, multilevel, gorgeous indoor/outdoor courtyard space built around an actual live tree. Top notch Mexican food and drinks. My El Chula sparkling wine and strawberry cocktail also had sour notes from tepache, a fermented, pineapple liquor, plus two spiced aperitifs, Xila and Granada Vallet. Complex but tasty! My chilaquiles in red salsa with avocado and queso fresco was delicious. Super friendly (even singing) staff and great Latin American music.
An overall outstanding experience. The restaurant itself is so cool, we were seated in the courtyard which is partially inside/outside, and we were sat underneath a beautiful tree. The staff works very hard to make it an authentic Mexican dining and drinking experience. The food was absolutely amazing. And the cocktails were definitely deserving of the best drinks in LA. Using only spirits that are responsibly sourced and the best Mexico has to offer. Cannot recommend enough! We did have a reservation.
One of the very few restaurants in Los Angeles that I’ve fully enjoyed. Our server, Brittany, was so bubbly and quick with bringing everything out to us. She was so knowledgeable about the drinks and food and gave excellent recommendations. The food was amazing, true quality ingredients and skillfully crafted dishes. My favorites were the chicken and pork tacos, such a unique array of flavors. Everything tasted so fresh and no dish was overly complicated. The drinks were delicious as well, all flavors just blended beautifully into each other. This goes without saying but the atmosphere was lovely, such a wonderful place to enjoy a meal. I would love to revisit this restaurant.
Great place for sports. Good menu for a sports bar. Service can be slow when important games are on but it is understandable.
One of my favorite spots to watch sports and get a good beer. They have an incredible beer selection with rotating and seasonal options. I would give it a full 5 stars, unfortunately the bartenders can be inattentive at times. The food has always been delicious and quick! Hats off to the kitchen staff! If you’re in the area or going to visit LA it’s worth a look! Even if you’re stopping for a quick drink you should. There’s a very nice rustic atmosphere and aesthetic. Happy hour has some good deals as well!
It's a good local pub. Lots of ample seating. Service is takes awhile and not the most attentive but this comes in part from being a pretty large venue. For me, it's a little loud to have a conversation without needing to raise your voice even when there's no sporting event. Still, I recommend it for decent food, a good beer selection and a nice assortment of games (pool, arcades and I think there may be darts).
Good local sports bar with an amazing selection of beer, lots of booths, and areas for large groups. The food is standard bar food, and tastes great, but it's the selection of beers that really stand's out. I'm not a sports guy, but I do enjoy returning to this place.
Big open space with plenty of TV's to watch the games. Friendly and attentive staff on hand. There is outdoor seating as well. I went on a Saturday, mid-afternoon and it wasn't too bad. The food was traditional bar food. Nothing quite special or interesting about it. I had the nacho burger with french fries. Both tasted like frozen food. This place looks like it could really do well using fresher ingredients in their menu offering.
A pretty solid sports bar with other fun activities, like pool, trivia nights and other games. The food isn't anything spectacular. A pretty broad range in types and styles; pizza, burgers, pastas, chicken dishes, etc. There is a huge beer tap selection, which makes trying new beers fun and usually something for everyone. A lot of TVs so easy to catch any game that is on somewhere in the bar, plus a good layout to see a lot of the TVs at once.
A good place to go for casual drinks and a bite. Their selection is pretty big, so most people can find something to eat and drink. It can get kind of loud and hot when they do trivia and such, and sometimes the service can be a bit slow if you're not at the bar, but if you're not in a hurry, it's a great place to hang out.
Nice quiet upstairs, great atmosphere which changes between an upbeat downstairs, and a chatty intimate upstairs. Great bar for parties of 2-6. Whether you're coming for a sports game or just to have a nice chat with your pals, this bar can accommodate everyone. It's even got some billiard tables and air hockey upstairs for some fun competition!
Sports bar near my work with a bunch of big screen TVs and a good selection of alcoholic beverages. The pizza there was pretty good but the fish and chips were below average. Bar tender and waitresses were friendly and helpful.
This has been my local pub for some years now. It's a great spot for major sports events year round. They even adjust opening hours accordingly - I've had a beer here while watching 8am World Cup matches! Food is better than I expect at a bar. They have sidewalk tables that are great for having an afternoon beer with my dog. Good beer selection and full bar. Only gripe is the service can be slow, maybe they don't have enough staff, and sometimes it's confusing whether you should order at a bar or sit and wait for a server. They haven't offered the free pizza during happy hour for years.
I went for a date night with my bf and it was a special event with Resy. There didn't seem to be any special menu or happening for us though. It just meant that the space was busy and the staff was distracted. I really liked the atmosphere and would definitely come back on a non-event night. My bf ordered the Tu Compa. I really liked the painted salt rim - very unique. I got a Suero, which also was unique with the orange salt. For food we started with the cornbread which was so hearty but still light. Then we had the carrots which were great and sweet potatoes which were a little too sticky sweet for my taste. The cochinita pibil was great, and so was the hamachi aquachile - I really liked how much avocado they included. The presentation for everything was stunning.
I had dinner here last night and it was pretty good. The restaurant space itself is quite unique and doesn’t feel like a typical LA restaurant. It’s a rather large restaurant, spanning two stories and feels like a little escape from the city. The food was very good, especially the rainbow carrots and kanpachi Aguachile. I would order those two items again. The guacamole also tasted great but the portion for the price with a little bit on the small side. The mezcal flight was fun to try too ! My only criticism would be that I thought it was just a pricey. The service was solid, no complaints.
This review is while we're still under COVID-19 protocols. There are limited beer and food options but still plenty of options to keep you satisfied. They have beers from light to dark. Plenty of liquor all of flavors and varieties. The food is bar food - and I'll leave it at that. The staff is amenable and helpful. They also are on-top of cleaning up before, after and during your visit. I felt like the cleaning measures were good.
Idk what happened to this place…. Food was fine. Beer was flat and expensive. Service was fine. Bathrooms were hideous. One sink just straight up pours water out the back and onto the floor. A ball of hair and dust was hanging from the ceiling above our table and I was so distracted by it …. I will go back because there’s a lack of good football bars in the area but …. I won’t be looking forward to it. I used to love coming to this place! Such a bummer. Also don’t get why they haven’t put the booths back in the patio so you can eat and watch a game outside but not on the front sidewalk….
I rated the food poor/fair...but to be fair I only had the fried calamari. I found it bland and plain. The sauce was a little salvation. To drink, I was there for happy hour and I had Dos Equis pints, the happy hour rate was 5 bucks a piece. I thought that was a bit steep. They do have nice TVs and atmosphere, its a good place to watch game.
This is a limited review and a warning if you are planning to dine at the restaurant. Despite whatever the website schedule says and a lack of clear explanation, if you arrive at 230 pm on Saturday the only seatings available are stool seats at the bar and a quite limited bar menu they call their “in between” menu. We were disappointed after shlepping over here to try some of the cool seafood dishes. The vibe/decoration seems cool, and since we left I cannot speak to the food.
This is a bad bar in a great neighborhood. I'm here a lot, but this bar is bad. I think that's the story with most people at this bar. They were doing something cool nearby and then decided to get a drink after and this bar was just close. It's loud and there's a huge bar but only ever one or two bartenders who are doing their best but there's usually just too many people to get your drink quickly. And it's a sports bar, so the place is mostly lit by the 50 televisions and I don't know, it's a weird vibe.
