Fun LA adventure for Valentines Day dinner! First time at Momed, in the middle of nowhere in an industrial area adjacent to a nice little neighborhood (Atwater Village). Lovely indoor/outdoor space with a surprise commuter train whizzing by out back every 25 minutes. Special prix fixe VDay menu with multiple Mediterranean appetizers including thick, fresh, puffy flatbread, smoked eggplant, harissa avocado spread, spiced cucumbers, labneh, and dates. Ivan had chicken shish and I enjoyed my beef shish, which was deeply spiced. My red pepper, tequila and mezcal cocktail was a trip! I was instructed to bite the edible flower in the middle because it tasted like sour pop rocks! I think they soaked it in citric acid because it totally did! Made my tongue temporarily numb. Wacky. We split a delicious Pavlova with lemon curd and raspberries for dessert! We got yummy chocolates at the end, too. SpaceX rocket launch remnants in the sky afterwards!

Delicious food, the fluffiest pita I’ve ever had, and speakeasy-type cocktails. The presentation and creative mixes was fantastic!

I recently had my baby shower here and it was truly perfect in every way! The food is fresh, bright, and full of flavor. You can tell they put so much care and attention to every single item on the menu. The biscuits, homemade sourdough pita with feta dip, and the cauliflower are some of the best dishes I have ever eaten. The restaurant went above and beyond to make our event special. The atmosphere is so inviting and the service was impeccable. This is a must visit spot!

This place has one of the most amazing Mediterranean foods we went in a large group for my ex counselor it was 20 people, both waiters or waitresses were amazing and the place is very welcoming. The only thing is there's a train that happens to go by every 30 minutes or so other than that, lovely place. And the food is phenomenal.

With help from Maurianna, I brought a group of 20 to MoMed for a Holiday & Theatre get-together in their Bridge Bar. The food was delicious and it arrived right on time. And the Happy Hour drinks were well crafted and yummy! Plus Haley and our Server Benjamin were both friendly, professional and so kind. They really made us all feel special. The entire staff truly did a wonderful job. And the environment and vibe was perfect. (Also check out the theatre productions next door at Open Fist.) And MoMed is an absolutely beautiful setting.

Love this place! The food is amazing. I had the meatballs and avocado hummus. Both were delicious! The service at the bar was a little slow because the bar tenders were plenty busy. Otherwise, I look forward to going back.

What a hidden gem. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and amazing food! I had the grain bowl. Very tasty, and I had the mint tea and both items really elevated my lunch experience. I will sure be back to Momed in the near future. 👍🏽

Came here for a baby shower and loved everything about it. The service was excellent and the food was very original yet with a different unique spin on things. The ambiance was very nice with the way the outdoor patio seating is setup. I would highly recommend for others to visit Momed.

We had the pleasure of attending a shower at Momed. The atmosphere was festive and chique. We were served cocktails, wines, multiple dishes- all were fresh and delicious . I especially loved the muhammara, the butter lettuce salad and the chicken kebab. The pavlova and tiramisu topped off this wonderful meal. If you are in the area you must try Momed. You won’t be disappointed.

I recently hosted an event at Momed, Atwater Village, and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. From the planning stages to the moment the last guest left, every detail was handled with the utmost professionalism and care. Alex, the owner, and Maurianna the event coordinator were incredibly accommodating to every request (and we had a lot of them!) Nothing was ever too much, and they handled everything with a smile. The day of the event everything went perfectly. Actually, better than I expected, considering we were a group of about 80. The service from the wait staff was exceptional, and the food was absolutely delicious! Our guests kept raving about both! I highly recommend Momed for a nice meal out or a large celebration. They are the best!

Our waiter Patrick was so kind and had great recommendations since I’m vegan. Every bite was so tasty and unique, with sooo much flavor. Fun spot.

"Casual Elegance" is the phase I would use to describe the experience, the food, and the atmosphere. Dog friendly, which screams this is the right kind of people. Fresh, light, and delicious food and drink selection, highly recommend the octopus to start. Thanks for making my birthday dinner memorable.

I was worried it would be over hyped, but I have to say the avocado hummus and sour dough pita bread was very good as was all the grilled vegetables and salads we tried. We didn't try too many meats, the crispy lamb ribs were disappointing, I imagine the entrees are good we just didn't have many. Restaurant is not vegan but is vegan friendly . The cocktails are conceptually interesting, not amazing, but thankfully strong. Venue is open space outdoors, something I enjoy very much however the back is literally up against train tracks, if you're sensitive to sudden loud noises, be aware. Overall it was refreshing good. I very much enjoyed my meal especially since someone else paid for it. Had I paid for my own meal, I'd imagine that the price is quite steep since the portions are small, you need to order more than you think to be full.

When I heard the former chef from 71 Above was now here, I had to give it a try. I consider myself to be a good amateur chef, but dining here was a master class on why I’m an amateur. Everything was perfection! There were so many layers of finely balanced flavors in every bite. All the details were splendidly attended and the result was a testament to the chef’s artistry and love of food. We started with the crispy squash blossoms. They were served with a mint leaf and a bit of honey. The dab of honey meant there was not too much sweetness and the mint leaf precisely complemented the floral tones. The cheese filling provided just the right saltiness and they were crisped without feeling deep fried. The khachapuri was a delight. The crust was soft and thick with a salty-herbed finish. I’d eat just the crust and be happy, but the filling was outstanding. There was a (not too) spicy sauce, some Armenian sausage, an egg, and gooey cheese. We cut small pieces off the crust and dipped it like fondue until the filling firmed up enough to cut pieces. Yum! The Benedict was heaven on a plate. A hearty whole grain toast held a thick piece of fried pork belly, tomato, a perfectly poached egg, and flawless hollandaise. The egg yolk was a dark orange like a Japanese egg and medium cooked to that sweet spot between runny and gel. The hollandaise had bright lemon notes that balanced the richness of the pork belly and yolk. Maybe the best Benedict I’ve had, and I’ve tried a lot of them. For dessert (not that we needed it) we had the profiteroles. A light and airy puff pastry shell filled with a pistachio gelato and drizzled with chocolate. The gelato was full of pistachios and felt more like a mixture of gelato and frozen pistachio butter. Like everything else we had there, it was oh, so good. I very highly recommend dining at Momed. If there were 6 stars, I’d give it. The pricing was very reasonable ($20-25 for an entree), and I could see it being a good value for more. I came away full, but not stuffed, so the portion sizes were spot on. This will rise to a prominent place on my list of great LA eateries.

SIMPLY FANTASTIC- I had not been to Momed in about seven years (I have been missing out). Just went for my mother in laws birthday dinner. It is as amazing as I remember it. From the ambiance upon entering, you’re in for a treat. For four people we ordered to split the Avocado Hummus, the Carrots, Beets, whipped feta, the duck liver, broccolini, and the chicken wings. It was the right amount of food. We ended the evening splitting the baklava pudding dessert. Half price bottles of wine on Tuesday (large selection to pick from). Will be back soon!

Momed is a charming hidden gem that’s cozy, welcoming, and wonderfully pet-friendly. The ambiance is delightful, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed evening. The Mediterranean food was decent, though not extraordinary, but the drinks truly stood out and were absolutely fantastic. Dessert was okay, but the overall experience was elevated by our amazing server, who was attentive and friendly. I’m already planning a return visit to check out their brunch! Definitely a 5-star spot for its vibe, drinks, and hospitality.

Their brunch was good! I thoroughly enjoyed the chicken and the pork belly benedict. Also love that they’re dog friendly.

This was my second time eating here and nearly everything was just as perfect as the first time. My favorites are the Cesar, Jidor Chicken, and Mushroom Manti. However, we noticed that they changed the banana tiramisu into sort of a deconstructed version of the dessert. I found this very disappointing because I quite literally fell in love with its original recipe and format when I first had it! The new one is good, but not great. :/ I really hope they change it back! Other than that, everything was awesome and our waiter Patrick was amazing!! Such a fun date spot :)

Such a beautiful restaurant with plenty of space and gorgeous vibes! They had a lovely cocktail selection and my mocktail was really pretty. Our server was very helpful and provided a lot of suggestions. The beets and whipped feta were the best appetizers. We also had the mushrooms and cabbage for our entree which had unique flavors. We finished with the rhubarb crisp and pavlova which was so great. Awesome experience!

My first review in the new year, 2024! I had my first meal of 2024 here. They were open thankfully 5-9 PM for dinner on New Year's Day. The restaurant is probably like an old warehouse. The railway was just behind the restaurant, so you can hear loud noises every time a train passes by. They had a row of parking spots reserved for customers just outside the entrance. There was also a lot of free street parking. They had restrooms past the kitchen, but the restrooms were pretty dirty. One of them had a creepy doll portrait above the toilet. They had string lights and heaters on, so it was pretty inside. They also had a separate section where the bar was. I ordered the cocktail called What's Good Here. Our waitress explained (more like warned us about) the little flower thing that came with the drink. It was a like a pepper that gives you a numbing feeling. We got an extra one for $1 so my eating partner and I could both try it. It was interesting to try for the first time, but I wouldn't do it again. I didn't particularly enjoy the feeling. Avocado hummus $16 - I wanted some pita and hummus to start, but this avocado didn't quite satisfy my craving. The pita was 1000% amazing though. I highly recommend getting it. It smelled and tasted like peanuts. Cleopatra $18 - I wouldn't get this again just because the entree I got also had butter leaf lettuce. They put too much vinaigrette for my taste. It's a layered salad, so each leaf had lots of dressing. The last one had way too much. Duck $85 - this was a dinner special that was not on the menu. It was served with butter leaf lettuce, some fresh herbs, and some sauces. The duck was amazing, something I'd get again. They clearly didn't wash the lettuce because I found bugs. The waitress replaced them and that was it. It's too bad this happened. I hope it's not a regular thing for them to skip corners. Banana caramel tiramisu $16 - I only got this because the warm apple cake was not available. It did not taste like alcohol and was not overly sweet. They probably could have made it look better by adding a mint leaf. It just looked like they cut a slice and slabbed it on the plate.

Left much to be desired. My partner and I arrive promptly at 6:50 pm for our 7pm reservation. It took the concierge the whole 10 minutes to acknowledge us. Once seated, we ordered rather quickly as the menu is very limited. The bus boy came to fill our glasses with water and when he did spilled it on the table and did not bother to clean it up. That’s when I should’ve gotten up and walked out. But the waitress was warm and friendly and handled the issue once she returned to check on us. Fast forward 45 minutes and we were still waiting for our entrees only for us to be informed that my partners selection would not be served as described on the menu. He decided to try the alternative seasoning recommended, since we were on a time constraint and still hungry, but the entree (salmon) tasted bland which is unnaceptable for a $46 plate. There were no mussels, no calamari, nothing. Just salmon and lentils. This was an hour after being seated. We sent the plate back and only one of us ate. At this point they should have offered to comp us something, anything. They didn’t. After being so dissatisfied and disappointed, I requested that we at least be comped our appetizer, which was a $20 beet. They did and offered us a $20 gift card, which we accepted, even though we will not be back.

I was honestly so excited to have dinner here, I love Mediterranean cuisine. My husband booked a table for us for Valentine’s Day, mind you this was $40 to reserve on open table, which we didn’t mind because it was a special occasion. When we showed up I was impressed with how beautiful the restaurant is. They had a fixed Valentine’s Day menu that consisted of three different pricing options depending on the entree you ordered, the lowest priced being $95 which my husband selected for the beef filet shish and I got the lamb for the $115 option. This also included a couple appetizers and a dessert. We ordered two drinks from the bar and they came out about two minutes after we ordered them, which was great. The appetizers came out about 3 minutes after we placed our order and the entree was about 4 min after. I was surprised at how quick the food came out and even more surprised when I tasted everything. It all lacked flavor and seasoning and it was obvious that it was prepared before and just heated up (wasn’t even that hot when it came out). My husband asked at first if the beef filet came with a side of rice which we were told it was, but when it came out it was just one beef shish with no sides. When we asked the server about the side of rice he said oh that’s it right there and pointed at the rice on my plate. We got the sundae for dessert and it was just a big bowl full of ice cream that felt like it was just scooped from an ice cream container. I left feeling more full from the ice cream than the actual meal. On top of the very expensive cost they charged and additional 5% of your total cost to “help support the staff” which I am not against supporting staff, but why is this cost passed onto the customer? Shouldn’t the owners be paying the staff? Of course this doesn’t include the 20% tip we paid, our server was nice and it’s not his fault that this was our experience but I would avoid this place and would not recommend it. I felt like we were ripped off completely, we paid a total of $370 for this dinner (including the reservation) to leave feeling completely disappointed.
