Easy parking. Very fast service and unbeatable price. It tastes pretty light for Southern style Pho. But not quite light enough to be Northern. You can smell the aroma from the parking lot. Also very clean and they carry a lot of dishes you don’t always find in Viet spots.
Authentic little eatery. Big portions. Good pho. Good fried egg rolls. Service is good, as expected from an authentic pho place... know where you are fam this isn't a Michelin star steakhouse. People out there complaining are silly. Super happy. Super full. Go team ❤️
They have a sign inside their restaurant that says "Voted Best Pho in The Valley!" This sign is a lie and they need to change it. Because this is not just the best pho in the valley, IT IS THE BEST PHO IN ALL OF LA. IT IS HANDS DOWN, NO HYPERBOLE, ON MY MAMA, THE BEST. i have lived all over LA, tried all the chinatown and SGV spots (This destroys pho 87/pho hoa/pho Saigon, which are both excellent btw). Again, this is literally the best pho is LA. A close second is Pho 999, which is the same quality only a different style flavor who is across the street ran by the same very kind family. I hope these guys stay in business forever. The only way youre getting better pho is if you get it homemade or buy a plane ticket to vietnam.
I've been coming here since I was about 7 years old and now in my 30s its still the best pho I've ever had. They've been the same since I could remember. Fast. Easy. Consistently having the same flavors. Recommend #1 and of course the egg rolls are a must here!
My husband and I have explored several Pho restaurants across the valley, and while all were enjoyable, this particular spot exceeded our expectations, I got the number 5 and my husband got the number 1. The broth boasted a richness of flavor leaving me savoring every last drop. Portions here are generous, offering generous servings of noodles, meat, and broth compared to other places we've visited. Unlike elsewhere, where we often find ourselves requesting additional noodles or meat, here we found the perfect balance. While the veggie spring rolls lacked a bit of flavor on their own the peanut sauce elevated them to perfection. Needless to say, we've declared this our new go to Pho spot and look forward to returning often!
My family and I have been going to this place for over 20 years and one of my favorite pho restaurants. I haven’t been here in almost 4 years as I’ve been outside the country and great to know they still have the same fast service and tasty poke of pho I remember. They have become victim to the Siracha shortage as they don’t have the rooster brand and that does change the flavors a bit but overall I’m still happy, though the price is quite a shock at nearly $15/bowl
FOOD 4/5 One size pho only. Solid portions and consistently the same which is a good thing to have SERVICE 4/5 Pretty standard for a pho spot just make sure you call them over for service. PARKING 5/5 Easy parking in 99ranch shopping plaza
Was in the mood for some Viet food so called up and placed an order for the #1 pho special and #85 pork chop rice with egg/pork quiche and pork skin. Food was ready within 15 mins and I took it home to cook, noodles obviously raw and just blanched them for a few seconds. Assemble the meats and poured the boiling broth into the bowl then topped it off with the veggies. I made it for my dad to eat. I on the other hand had the Pork chop broken rice dish. The food was very good with the exception of the quiche being a bit on the dry side. I would give this spot a 5 if quiche was fresher and not too dry. Overall we both enjoyed our meals.
Always my easy go to place for pho! Broth is delicious and consistent. Not the best in my opinion, but still very good for being in the area AND they have multiple locations! Portions are great and price is fair compared to most shops these days. The only downside for me is they don’t have any type of house made chili oil and that’s my deal breaker for pho shops. We also ordered the egg rolls this time and it tasted like they were fried in advance and sat on a warmer. Texture seemed just a bit stale and the filling didn’t feel as hot. Service was great though. We missed the line and although they weren’t ready to take us they told us to sit anywhere. Servers came by maybe between 5-10mins and got our food around 10-15mins after. They got extremely busy after we were half way in, so definitely plan to wait and sign your name on their clipboard inside.
This review is specifically for vegetarians. There are exactly 3 items on the menu for vegetarians - a veggie pho, a noodle dish with stir fried veggies and tofu, and tofu spring rolls. The spring rolls with peanut dipping sauce were probably the best thing. The others weren't bad, but they weren't amazing either. I'm sure people who eat meat and seafood love this place, but I don't see us returning, given that we've tried everything on the menu that's available to us vegetarians, and didn't particularly love it.
This place is ok for pho/Viet food in LA! The pho broth isn’t bad, but I’d gone up to San Gabriel a few days earlier for pho so the expectation was raised a bit. Reasons it’s not the best: Broth isnt the richest, so I’m doubtful about how long they’d simmered everything. Noodles aren’t chewy. Service wasn’t attentive (either they’re short staffed, exhausted, or this is just all they got). Reasons it’s not the worse: I’ve had broth that just tasted like salty water, this had flavor. I’ve had super soggy noodles, but this wasn’t that. I’d go here if I was craving pho badly and didn’t have it in me to make the drive north to SG or south to OC.
Came back for lunch yesterday 10/5. So disappointed with the vermicelli this time . First , it’s have a big hair right in between meat and egg roll . I asked to changed for another bowl , but l am sure they just reuse the protein, because they were already cold in new bowl (which they made me wait 8-10mins ). Then , I mixed my new bowl and realized i had very a little vermicelli in bowl and all of noodles are 1- 2 inches long (supposed to be long like the chopstick at least) , some part was dry and hard . Unlucky day 🥲 - Servers still doing their great job ! Good foods , nice service. Ordered bbq beef & egg roll over vermicelli … was delicious . Loved their egg rolls . Definitely will come back once in town .
Overall 3.5/5 Food 3/5 Service 4/5 Ambiance 4/5 Had higher expectations, but the pho broth fell flat, lacking the depth and richness I was hoping for. The bowls look big, but they’re more wide than deep, so it felt more like a medium/small portion and didn’t really fill me up. The meat was also on the rougher side. The cha gio looked great but didn’t taste fresh it was lukewarm, and the wrapper tasted like it had been sitting out too long. Just didn’t hit the way I expected it to. Haven’t really found good pho in LA so still looking for recommendations too!
Two flies on two different dishes What a horrible disappointment I order some sort of soup with rice noodles what it seems to be fried rice with shrimps some sort of sausage, a salad and a couple drinks. The rice was just insipid , zero seasoning, full of butter and I’m afraid it was fake butter because the flavor tried to resemble butter, but it was not. But here is the worst part of it. The first soup came with a little beetle floating on it. OK I get it, sometimes insects hide in between the leaves on vegetables so not a big deal. I called the waiter. He took the soup and I ordered a different type of soup. Just because I was afraid they just remove the beetle and give it back to me again. So I asked the waiter to bring me a different type of soup. This time it was a red soup with some beef stew in it, and just when I was going through half of it a fly inside the soup hiding between some noodles. What the heck is going on this place certainly Health Department needs to pay a visit. It is incredible for a single customer to get two flies or rather two insects on the same visit I couldn’t believe it. I brought this to the attention of owner or Manager, whatever she was and she very nonchalant said oh we’re sorry we won’t charge you for the soup, well, thanks lol.
