Im coming back to this place after 4 months and always i enjoy Thank you to the friendly staff
Shaherzada Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with its rich flavors and welcoming atmosphere. The menu features a variety of authentic dishes that are beautifully presented and packed with taste. Our server, Imran, provided exceptional service—attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly, he made our meal even more enjoyable. Overall, a highly recommended spot for anyone looking to savor delicious cuisine!
Last night, we ordered 2 chicken kabob with half rice -half salad for a take- out just minutes before ten p.m. ; the restaurant’s closing time. The order was ready on time. Everything was nicely wrapped: salads, chickens on top of the rice separated by a foil sheet to keep the juice in, the bread was separately wrapped in paper bags, lemons,utensils... . The taste was great and the meal portions were generous. We’ve tried dining-in or order take- out from similar restaurants but we definitely give a five- star rating to this restaurant for their great service and great food. We would definitely go back to this place.
Rice is nice... And even better than that! Can't get enough of their rices and the salmon kabob is beautifully seasoned and tenderly cooked... With love! I did a takeaway meal and Even after it sitting in the containers during travel time was still incredibly sumptuous. Can't wait to go and eat right in the restaurant. I'm here from New York City where there's no shortage of great restaurants, and still found this memorable. Looking forward to the next meal at Sheherzad. Many thanks! Karen Hope Moss
Shahrzad is among the first Persian restaurants on Westwood. If you like Kabob, here is what you should consider
Good enough value for money, though a bit pricey for a quick lunch. Very pleasant atmosphere and impeccable interior design. The food was absolutely delicious. Had the most tender lamb in my life, with delicious rice and barberries. Would visit again.
We order chenjeh AND shirin kashk-e-bademjan and gheimeh, all were really tasty, and it has both friendly staff and owner in general very nice experience I will definitely come back again!
Rack of lamb was to die for, and the kebab was delicious too! Came on a Wednesday night and pretty much had the place to ourselves. Highly recommend!
It was excellent experience. Fresh Iranian dishes served by lovely and friendly personnel's.
All the dishes we tried were excellent. The service was top notch. Clean place and clean restrooms. Highly recommended.
Shahrzad Is a cozy restaurant with amazing food. We went here for dinner and Persian music, and we had a blast. It was extremely busy, but the employees were friendly and caring. The price is reasonable, and you could order anything from the menu with tea, coffee, and soft drink drinks. There was a small error on my bill, but the owner was so gracious about fixing the issue. Thank you so much for a great evening! The food was wonderful and the portions were Very generous.
Such a lovely spot for amazing, authentic Persian cuisine. Generous portions and kind service!
Shaherzad has always been a staple for my family for many years. I haven’t lived here for many years and I brought some friends with me to introduce them to Persian food recently. Shahram made them feel welcome and showed them how we eat traditionally, all in all he made it truly great experience. Lots of nostalgia having that barely soup that no one in La can replicate. Thanks Sharham and Shaherzad!
Highly recommend!! This freshly remodeled restaurant has the absolute best food, premium service, and warm atmosphere of all the Persian restaurants in town!!! Every time we come here we get treated like royalty. From the gorgeous blonde hostess, Kitty, to the super polite waiter, Alireza, to the fantastic busboy, Cesar, there’s no comparison to any other Persian restaurant. I cannot even eat the kebab at other places anymore because it is so tasty here!! Highly suggest you try the Soltani, salmon, Adas polo, koobideh… You can’t go wrong! Make sure you start with Tadik. Then you can end it with hot teas and heavenly home made Sholeh Zard. I feel at home here and the food reminds me of my childhood. Thank you for giving me the experience. We are so grateful! (I was so hungry. I forgot to take pictures before eating, but here’s a snapshot of my tea & dessert at the end!)

If you're looking for authentic Persian cuisine with great service and a cozy vibe, this place is a must-visit. I will definitely be coming back again! Highly recommended! 😊🍽️
I’ve been living abroad for years, and this is the first time I’ve found an Iranian restaurant that truly feels like home. The food tasted just like real homemade meals — fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, and the restaurant’s location is super convenient and easy to reach. I wish I lived in Los Angeles, because I would honestly eat here every single day! Their menu is quite large, and I wish I could try everything, but the portions were generous and I couldn’t finish my plate — otherwise, I would’ve definitely ordered more. I truly wish them success, and I highly recommend everyone to visit this place!
Very kind and caring staff! The service was top-notch, and the food was just wonderful. It was my first time in this Persian restaurant, and I can say it was also my best experience from both aspects of food and service.
I hear many time about this restaurant but I’m living in San Diego. I was travelling to Los Angeles and they come to Westwood to this restaurant with 4 of my friend. total of 5 we otder kobide barg chicken everything was delicious and the service was excellent. we will be back.
Shaherzad — also known as Shahrzad — is one of the best Persian restaurants in Westwood! The food is always fresh and full of flavor — from the juicy kabobs and stews to the warm bread straight out of the oven. The staff are super friendly and make you feel right at home. The location is great, and there are even a few free parking spots behind the restaurant, which is a nice bonus in LA. I also love the live Persian music on Saturday nights and the fun Em Divo Karaoke Show every Friday around 7:30 PM. It’s such a great vibe — good food, music, and people all in one place! Definitely one of my favorite spots for dinner and entertainment in Los Angeles.

Very friend staff. I tried the koobideh and Cornish hen. The Cornish hen was juicy and delicious. Was a little disappointed with the koobideh.
Every now and then we visit this place. I think this is one of the best places for Iranian cuisine in LA county and Orange county. I would argue the food quality can be better, now we have tried few other persian restaurants in southern Cali.

My husband and I had the first experience there last week; good atmosphere; we had a bowl of fresh salad, and a good desert, but not really good food; the time after, we would like to take our daughter there for celebrate her graduation. I tried to call them many times last Saturday to reserve a table but nobody answered and mailbox was full. We went there BTW, but a guest was dancing in the entrance door and told us to go out and they reserved there fully! No receptionist was there and was very unprofessional.
Went there for lunch, a group comprised of Iranian, German and Mexican, all with Persian cuisine familiar taste buds. unsurprisingly all 7 had unanimous vote, as below. -Appetisers:, Mastokhyar and Kashkebademjoon with bread: Above average/good -Polo/rice:Average/good -Cornish chicken kebob: Average/good -Service: Good -Thadig/crispy rice(complimentary): Below average and stale -Kobideh/ground beef kebob: Worst ever in quality, texture and taste. Discussed about returning the dish, but didn't, out of respect for the community. Discussed about leftover (plenty), decided instead of wasting, pack and give it to someone needy. Followed through, but felt bad about the recipients. Overall: An unpleasant gastronomical experience!

We had lunch with a large group Monday 1/26/25. The menus we were given did not have the lunch specials. We would have ordered lunch specials had they been offered. Regular menu portions are very generous. Food came out quickly. Chicken koobideh and cherry rice were very good. My wife had chicken kabobs which she said were tough and fatty and made her physically ill while we were still at the restaurant. So we won't return

I been in so many Persian restaurants all over us . I visited this place today and ordered Soltani and ghormesabzi. Without a doubt one of the worst Persian foods I have ever had . Neither the Soltani nor kobedeh kabab was any good. The ghormesabzi was just wasn’t prepared right . I absolutely recommend not to visit this place.
Ordered 5 different dishes, none was good.
Food is horrible, kebab’s were stinky and the stew was cold and watery. And with all that, it’s too overpriced.
After remodeling this place first time I was be ther They do really good remodel absolutely five star but the food and service was 0star We just ordered with my friend kubide And boneless chicken I share the Picture with everyone even they not use the beef I don’t know what’s that but if they use beef they use %5 Is the beef I don’t know what they’re using if you check the color of the beef Which is it’s not beef Beef not supposed to be that collar 99% seasoning with ….. which is it’s nuts never forever I’m not recommended to anyone and by my personal I never use this place I’m really sorry for this place losing client

The service and the staff were very nice and friendly, but unfortunately the food was not good at all. I ordered kabab koobideh and albaloo polo. The kabab had almost no meat in it and didn’t even taste like meat. It was undercooked and tasted like soybeans. The texture was not like Persian kabab at all. The albaloo polo was just as bad. Albaloo polo is one of my favorite dishes, but this one was inedible. The rice was undercooked, and the whole dish was bright red, like artificial coloring was used. I couldn’t eat it. Overall, the food quality was very poor. I would not come back with this level of food quality
Was there yesterday, service was awful and they brought us the wring food. Even though they acknowledged, the waiter spoke do disrespectful with me and literally wanted to throw the dish at me. I have never been treated like this in a restaurant and we were all shocked at the table. In addition to the terrible service, the food quality was horrible. We order several Kebabs including meet and chicken, they were all in orange color, even beef! Taste was awful to all of us, really regret the choice for both food quality/taste and their service.
The rice was a complete disaster—dry, clumpy, and completely flavorless. No aroma, It tasted like it had been sitting out for hours, reheated without care, and served without a second thought. The koobideh was even worse. Bland to the point of being offensive, and clearly under-seasoned. And the joojeh… unbelievably dry. No saffron, no marinade, no tenderness—just pale, overcooked chicken that tasted like it had never even been introduced to seasoning. It was so dry I had to drink water after every bite just to get it down.
Their Barg kebab was anything but a real barg kebab. It had turmeric, was yellow in color, and completely lacked the tenderness and texture expected from a proper barg kebab. Their Koobideh was also full of turmeric and extremely bland. We didn't enjoy our lunch there. The only positive item was the Sabzi Khordan with Feta cheese and the fresh naan.
