Super yummy ramen spot ☺️. They have some table seating and also window counter seating. Ordered their pork and chicken gyoza, juicy and soft with pan fried crispy bit. Also got the Hokkaido milk tea and tonkatsu ramen. The noodles were nice and chewy with a delicious pork broth. Very satisfying. And the server was so nice. I would definitely stop in again.
This place is actually bomb 💣Please get the ramen, it’s good. Broth, Noodle and the best is the chashu 🔥. Actually, I recommend getting an extra side of chashu If I wasn’t on a diet would’ve ordered a bowl of rice 🍚 Food: 7.5/10 (very good 🤠👍) Ambience: Ayt Service: No complaints Top 5 ramen so far.
This is some of my favorite ramen I've ever had!! The broth is so flavorful and rich, it's absolutely fantastic! I got the spicy tonkotsu ramen and loved it so much I ordered again the very next day. The broth noodle ratio is perfect, and the egg was really good. I asked for fried tofu instead of pork chashu and the tofu was so flavorful, literally the best tofu I've ever had, and they gave me a lot too. My friend ordered the chicken shoyu, and the broth was delicious too. I've dined in, ordered takeout, and gotten delivery, and every time it's been fantastic. The service was fast and friendly, and the prices are great.
Came to this Ramen spot after a long hike, found it on Google and I was very impressed! They were open on Christmas, I ordered a Miso Ramen, with extra boiled egg it came with corn, sea weed and chatsu pork with noodles. Was blow away by the flavor of the pork broth which was salty and savory and sweet all at the same time. Also orders egg sando, I highly recommend trying it out it was nice and creamy with a soft bread to hold it all together. To wash it down I order a Thai tea that was sweet and milky.
My first-time visit to the Susuru Ramen Bar was successful. The Tonkotsu/ Spicy Tonkotsu was delicious! The broth was so blended with various spices. Plus the noodles & pork were perfectly cooked. Best ramen! Along with that Spicy Garlic Edamame as a starter was an excellent choice. The restaurant server Kat was very welcoming, kind & quick with her work. We enjoyed our time at Susuru Ramen Bar. Highly recommended!
Khoi soi was sooooo good and it was a chicken broth for all you non-red meat eaters out there. The egg sandos were also insane. Gets packed so it’s a gamble if you come w more than 2 people.
Anytime I’m in the area I always stop here, hands down the best hidden ramen area around LA. Servers are super friendly, the atmosphere is clean, intimate with your guests and the prices are so reasonable! 11/10 whenever someone visits town I immediately take them to this place. Highly recommend for good ramen.
Susuru Ramen Bar is a lively, retro-inspired spot known for its authentic Japanese ramen and izakaya-style dishes. The ramen is rich and flavorful, with perfectly cooked noodles and tender toppings. The atmosphere is vibrant, with anime décor and a friendly vibe. Service is quick, though it can get crowded. A must-visit for ramen lovers.
This is by far the best Japanese ramen I’ve tasted. Both the Tonkotsu and Miso ramens tasted amazing. The broth is so delicious, whether you choose the spicy or the non spicy version. If you choose the non spicy version you can still spice it up as there is a spicy blend available to add to taste. Service was amazing as lady attending us was super super nice and attentive to customer needs. The place, even though small, is clean and welcoming. I highly recommend this place for anyone trying ramen out for the first time and for any ramen enthusiast out there.
Susuru holds a special place in my heart. I’ve tried a number of items on their menus and everything is 🔥🔥🔥. I can’t stress enough about how good this ramen is. I’ve only known about Susuru for a month or so but have eaten here over 8 times. All of the broths are rich and authentic. The Thai coconut curry ramen is mind blowing and a generous serving. My go tos are the Miso and Tonkatsu. Add spice for extra flavor. I brought my coworkers here and everyone’s bowls were finished down to the last drop of broth. Easily one of the best ramens shops in LA. It’s got a great mom and pop atmosphere. Food comes out quick. What else can I say, I’m in love with Susuru. Anytime I want ramen in the future, I’m going to come here. Just thinking of it makes my mouth water. 🤤
Best ramen I've ever had in California. The Tonkotsu is so rich & creamy. The spicy version of it has a really good kick (very spicy to anyone not used to spice btw, fair warning). & The spicy salmon roll was delicious. Would so come back here again. Please know there isn't a ton of space so don't come here with more than 4 people. This is more of a come alone or with a partner.
We recently had Japan Vacation and My tastebuds are fresh from Japan’s ramen taste. We are craving for it so this made us browse around and give Susuru a shot. We had their Tonkotsu Spicy Ramen and Takoyaki. What I liked about their ramen was the soup base its thick and creamy. Noodles are perfectly cooked. Charsu in ramen was grilled and oh my so flavorful! Takoyaki was perfectly crispy and tasty. Awesome service too! They frequently check on us and attentive refilling our water. I would say i feel like i’m eating ramen and takoyaki in Japan again. Overall it was worth it! Highly recommended!
This place is amazing. We checked this place out and the pictures looked great so we decided to take the long drive up(we were staying closer to LAX and LA traffic made it an hour drive) and I am so happy we did. We tried the Katsu Don, fried chicken thighs, sushi, and ramen. Everything was exquisite just how it looked in the pictures. Highly highly recommend trying this place out.
The service is always friendly! They have a nice selection of tasty Ramen dishes and they have mastered Tempura - I love their Shrimp Tempura Roll!
Best Ramen in LA. I am consistently surprised by the incredible flavors of the broth and quality of the service. This is a must visit.
Delicious ramen at a reasonable price. Quick service. My favorite spot in the area.
Went here once the other day and it's already my new favorite spot! Food was fantastic
BESTT SPICY MISO RAMENNNN!!! I absolutely love this place i come here almost every month, the service is quick. The waitresses are really kind, I'm just not a big fan of the parking but 10/10 recommend
This took the top spot of ramen for me over tatsu as of recently. It’s packed with so much flavor in either the mild or spicy option without being heavy and making you feel sluggish afterwards. The takoyaki was well rounded with flavor, texture and just a good complement with the ramen. Also our server was nice and kind I didn’t happen to get her name but I hope she sees this and knows!
SO GOOD. I live nearby , so naturally I’ve made it my mission to try as many restaurants as I can. Ramen is my comfort food and I’ve tried a handful of places on Hollywood blvd and this is my new fav!! Also , the pricing is better than most ramen places around. The broth is yummy , the noodles are just right. I loved the cozy vibes — felt like I was at a friends house for dinner. Can’t wait to come back.
Came on a Saturday evening and had to wait about 10 minutes, but the food was incredible. Staff was very friendly as well. The Tonkotsu ramen broth was VERY good, nice and creamy. The Khoi Soi curry broth was warm and a bit tangy from the red onion, which was very excellent. The pork and chicken were very good. Decent sized portions as well.
I live in the neighborhood and this Ramen spor stole my heart amd stomach lol I usually go 2 maybe 3 times a week. I can't get enough of thier food its amazing and delicious especially on a cold or rainy day 10/10 Mona is always great, and has amazing energy and fun to talk to.
IT's a little small inside but dont let that deter you from trying it out. The Ramen was delicious and so were the appetizers. Service was EXCELLENT, they are incredibly friendly! I did not like the egg sandwich but everything else was great! We enjoyed the food and service! Their bathroom is also clean and well kept. We'll definitely come by again!
Amazing food and generous food portions! Server was really attentive and friendly 💯
Excellent service and excellent food, specifically the Khao soi was extraordinary 🤤
First timer. Their Spicy Pork Tonkontsu was so rich and the broth we phenomenal. My Spicy Curry Ramen came out outstanding. Will be coming back for sure. The customer service made the establishment even better as the waitress was super kinds and friendly. Thank you Susuru we will be coming back soon.
New favorite ramen spot! I got the spicy Tonkatsu. The broth were perfectly balanced between spice and the richness of pork. It wasn't to heavy or oily - perfect! The meat was super tender and not to thin (2 pieces) I probably order extra next time since they were so good. Tea egg was nicely flavored and soft boiled which was great. The veggies were also fresh and tasty. Definitely can't wait to come back ASAP with the FAM!
i loved how homey and cozy it was in here! i got the spicy tonkotsu (pictured), the salmon roll (pictured), spicy tuna on crispy rice, the shrimp shumai, and the gyozas! it was all wonderful and i’d order it all again! plus the service was GREAT!
Items ordered: Spicy tonkatsu ramen Khao soi Veggie gyoza Spicy vegan sushi Chicken Karage The spicy tonkatsu ramen was stellar. The broth was very silky and flavorful. The Khao soi had a nice flavor as well. My vegetarian parents loved the veggie Gyoza. It had an amazing veggie filling. If one thing really needs improvement is the chicken Karage. It lacked the classic Karage taste and texture. Would recommend not ordering it.
Great ramen. I got the spicy pork tonkasu ramen, and it actually is spicy, creamy, rich, and filling. Super solid 8.9/10 ramen The parking is tricky on the weekends but the service is fast and great. The restaurant itself is small but compact. The atmosphere is underwhelming since it’s not a traditional ramen type of ambiance and atmosphere Overall, the food is worth the visit!
Small place that didn't look impressive but turned out to have great food. There is a small, shared parking lot but not much space so I parked down the street. The Tonkotsu ramen is $13 for regular pork broth, or $14 for spicy. The regular broth was so silky and tasted amazing. Next time I'll try the spicy. The Chicken Karage for $10 was great too. deep fried chicken thigh was tender and crisp. Also got the Chicken Shoyu ramen which was comforting. Noticed they have Khao Soi creamy curry ramen, I will have to try that next time. It's a small space inside but seemed popular. Nice clean bathrooms too.
I came to this place with my sister and brother in law after they said this is the best Ramen they've ever had. I believe that now to be an understatement. My first bite of the spicy tonkotsu ramen felt like the heavens were opening. I was not the same person I was before taking that bite. The broth was layered with flavor so good I think my mind short circuited for a second. The pork melted in my mouth. Since we went a week ago I have not been able to stop thinking about this ramen and it lives rent-free in my head 24/7. I wish I could erase it from my mind in order to experience it for the first time all over again. OH we also got some appetizers - the octopus balls, shrimp shu mai and garlic edamame, all of which were fantastic and our server was an angel and the nicest person ever. I'll be dreaming about this ramen for the rest of my life

It's not a creative or lux flavor. It's just spicy tonkotsu ramen done right. Like every element in this ramen is just 👌🏻👌🏻Such an unassuming place with an unassuming price. Definitely will come back.

Absolutely amazing. Food was delicious and the atmosphere feels like a little cozy local place. Me and my girlfriend found this place just to be spontaneous and this place did NOT disappoint, please come support them!
Amazing place and amazing service. Place is a little small and has limited seating, prepare to wait a little, especially at night. Ko the hostess/waitress was amazing and super efficient, tending to dozens of people at once. The food came out amazing as well, so shout out to the chefs and kitchen staff. Great pricing as well.
Cannot rave more about their spicy tonkotsu ramen! Ask for chili flakes - it really elevates the taste. Broth is flavorful & the noodles are just right. So glad to have found a favorite ramen place so close to me. The parking lot is very small, but the food is so worth it. It's always busy, which tells you everything you need to know.
This is undoubtedly the best tonkatsu ramen in LA—maybe in California. Their broth is bursting with flavor. Their pork is tender and succulent. I don’t even live in the area but I eat here whenever I even remotely close.

4.2/5 for the tonkotsu ramen and 3/5 for the tonkatsu sandwich. It was decent but I wouldn’t say its one of the best in LA like the internet says it to be. Ramen came out at room temp and the sandwich was just not anything special.
Imagine our surprise! Ranked #1 on Yelp's top ramen spots in California, Susuru Ramen Bar had us equal parts excited and worried about wait times. Walking in, however, we were greeted by… an empty restaurant. The staff was even gathered around tables, phones in hand. It was an unexpected sight for a supposed top contender. Despite the initial oddity, we dove into the menu. We opted for the classics: tonkatsu ramen and chicken shoyu ramen, along with a plate of chicken and pork gyoza. The star of the show was definitely the tonkatsu ramen (spicy option available as well). The broth was rich and creamy, exactly as I like it. The pork belly chashu was cooked to perfection - juicy and flavorful with a distinct caramelized sear that complimented the broth beautifully. However, the noodles fell a bit short. They were a touch on the hard side, indicating some undercooking. This issue was present in the shoyu ramen as well. The gyoza was decent, but nothing extraordinary. It didn't quite match the level of the broth and chashu. Overall, Susuru Ramen Bar offers a great bowl of ramen, particularly for those who love a creamy tonkotsu broth. However, based solely on this visit, the title of "best ramen spot in California" might be a stretch. The undercooked noodles and the slightly inattentive service (though understandable given the empty restaurant) prevent it from reaching that top tier. Still, it's a solid choice for a satisfying ramen fix, and with 4 stars, it's definitely worth a try!
