Love this little strip in SFV with a few Vietnamese restaurants. This place does mostly banh mi’s but they also have some noodle dishes. I love that their menu has 18 different types of banh mis which is rare to see this variety. Banh mis can be very versatile. I got #11 (grilled pork with pate) and #15 (pork meatball) even though my usual is the dac biet. Both great sandwiches. Bread has a nice crunch without being overly hard. They put a good amount of mayo and pate on my #11 which I like. They also shred their cucumbers which gives it a slightly different mouth feel than the typical sliced cucumber. #15 by far though was the standout. Vietnamese meatballs are just so flavorful and moist. It’s like an Italian meatball sub but 10x better in my opinion. Definitely one you can’t save until later though. I would definitely be back if they were closer to me.
This sandwich shop has been a favorite in the valley for years now. Owner is friendly and foods are good!. They have varieties of food choices and prices are good despite the high cost of living in California. Shop is clean and conveniently located in the same plaza as the pho restaurant , Asian market and several other businesses.
Ordered the roast pork sandwich and it was delicious! The pork was so tender and had a slight sweet flavor. The sandwich is huge you can definitely split it with someone or save the other half for later.
In love with the #8! the chicken is seasoned so well, the bread has a buttery flaky crust, yummy pickled veggies. Haven’t tried the more traditional banh mi flavors but I’m sure those are bomb too. And hard to beat $11 for a sandwich that’s this good
I’ve been meaning to try this spot for a minute, based on the reviews. Did not disappoint. Not the single best Banh mi I’ve had, but the combination of quality, price and speed make this my top choice in LA county so far. I got a sandwich and a bottle of chin su for about $12. Bathroom was the smallest I’ve ever been in though, so beware if you are plus sized.
I visited on 07/24/2025. Whenever I crave Banh Mi and have time to pass by, I always go out of my way to go to Valley Sandwiches. Food: Their Grilled Pork Pate sandwich is always top tier. The sandwich is not stale, and reasonably toasted. The picked radish, and carrots enhances the flavor of the grilled pork and pate. The cilantro, and thinly sliced cucumbers and jalapenos are also a welcome addition. Don't remove the veggies. I ventured out of my regular order and tried their Banh Khot. I have no idea what exactly goes into those mini pancakes, but it probably has rice flour, coconut milk, scalions, and shrimp. They also give you lettuce, mint, and a vinegar sauce to go with the pancake. It was so good. The pancakes was the right amount of crispy at the bottom and the shrimp was not overcooked, and it was not too oily which is a always a good thing. Service: They ask you what you would like to order, and answer questions about the menu, if any. They are nice people. They have small amount of staff, but they prep food so fast. 😀 Atmosphere: It is currently a take out only place. No seats or tables available for customers. The restaurant is clean. 10/10 would recommend to a friend. I've been here so many times. I really hope they would get so much more foot traffic.
Had the #10 and the #15. Both were delicious. Photo is the #10, but #15 was my favorite. Service was excellent. I believe the gentleman that served us was the owner. He was friendly and handmade our sandwiches with the utmost care and attention. Also want to note the ingredients were high quality. I’m not really a fan of the hard bread used for Vietnamese sandwiches, but this was good bread! I was impressed. The owner mentioned the source was a local bakery in Northridge. Small but clean location isn't ideal for sit down dining in but it's allowed. It seems like most customers are regulars that just swing by to pickup their order. One of the customers that stopped by when I was there said he’d been coming there for years. We enjoyed chatting with the owner as we ate. I look forward to coming back and trying more sandwiches. 5 stars.
Recently discovered this place and it's honestly the best Banh mi I've had in the SFV. Not only is the food exceptional but the staff is very nice and the service is great! I've had about 4 of their sandwiches and they are all insanely flavorful! Definitely give this place a try!!
Stopped by for an afternoon sandwich. This is a nice little shop with sandwiches and Vietnamese food. The people behind the counter are really friendly and helpful. I ended up ordering a #7 pork sandwich. It was really good. What impressed me the most and stood out was the fresh vegetables in the sandwich. They were crisp and refreshing with every bite. I really enjoyed this sandwich! This is a take out only place, no indoor seating.
Mom and pop hole in the wall. Nice friendly service! Vietnamese ice coffee so so good strong and flavorful! The bbq pork bah mi was the best! Can’t wait to have another! Pork meatball was good but bbq pork was better. Spring rolls were also a highlight and the sauce was fantastic! The steam buns were good.
I’ve been to all the hot spots in LA/SGV that do not live up to the hype. Valley Sandwiches is so freaking good - the filling to bread ratio is exactly what you’re looking for. We ate it in the car and looped around to order more for dinner!
Hidden gem in the valley. Decent price for quality banh mi
So good love the veggies and the coffee ! Been trying to more dishes the duck soup is so good !

I LOVE this place, banh mi is always fresh and tasty. I have yet never seen a place that sells banh mi cha ca (fish cake with dill) but every time I order it here, it's always a hit. Got my coworkers hooked on their sandwiches too. The owner is the nicest guy on earth, staff is very friendly.
I love a bahn mi place that offers a variety of non-traditional options! The sandwiches are very fresh and delicious. My personal favorite is the tuna one. So good!
this place is a true gem! the BEST banh mi i’ve had yet - the pork one is my favorite. i wish there was bike parking and seating out front m, but the food is definitely worth the visit every time. keep in mind, they’re to-go only.
The owner was personable and accommodating. The sandwiches are beyond delicious!!!!
This place has some of the best Vietnamese coffee! And the shredded chicken banh mi was incredible. Incredibly fast service. Highly recommend!
Been getting the #1 Banh Mi Dac Biet for about 7 years now and it is the perfect Banh Mi for me. I will continue to come here for my Banh Mi for another 7 more. Their ice coffee is the perfect balance of strength and sweetness.
Great local Vietnamese spot with no frills and delicious, authentic Vietnamese food. I ordered their banh mi special - The meat and veggie portions were great and the ingredients felt fresh. My sister got the vermicellli with eggrolls which was also very yummy. Free street parking is available out in front as well as in the backlot. A really nice go-to place for pick up meals at reasonable prices!

The best Bahn Mi I've had in the Valley so far. This hole in the wall reminded me of the little family owned Vietnamese markets and sandwich shops in the southern Bay Area. That's to say, it feels authentic and welcoming. Service is quick and to the point, and the sandwiches are SO good. Bread texture is perfect and the ratio of fillings to meat was just right. Eyes were rolling back while eating this lol. Highly recommend!
Recently tried the combo and bbq pork bahn mis. The combo (#1) was excellent. I like it better than bbq pork (which was also good but nothing to write home about). It has the make up of a great sandwich: crunchy bread, fresh veggies, delicious spread and affordable. I very much enjoyed the sandwiches here and will be returning. Though, it isn’t as good as some of the bahn mi places down in the oc. Hence, 4 stars.
