Update: Still an Eagle Rock staple. The retro mid century modern kitch decor is an absolute vibe. Bar has rotating craft beer on draft, canned beer, wine, and more. Hot dogs w/ steamed buns from their classic rotisserie are on point. Several tables inside along w/ bar seating. Front, side, and back patio seating. Back patio now features a blacklight shooting gallery arcade. The big draw for me is the pinball. They have a couple EMs, some early AN solid states, and currently one early DMD. This curated focus on this era of machines is a welcome reprieve from other pinball rooms in the area that focus on modern LCDs and DMDs from the early aughts (though I love those too).
Hands down one of my favorite bars in Los Angeles. Great beer, excellent vegan hot dogs (hits every time) and just overall immaculate vibes. You instantly feel like you’re at home when you step into Walt’s and you’ll understand the magic when you visit. Go to Walt’s and bring your friends!!!
Was recently introduced to this spot. Great bar. Good selection of beers and good hotdogs. All served over the bar my friendly knowledgeable staff. I'll be going back.
Really loved this bar. Cheap classic pinball machines along with delicious hot dogs and pretzels is a great combo. The beer selection was just right also.
super fun, super poppin' eagle rock spot great for a time with friends out on the patio or to play pinball (if you dare!) pro tip: if you're feeling brave, just make your way right up to the bar rather than waiting the entire time at the checkout line. saves time and reduces the long line being held up for those who aren't ordering food!
Ugh, I love Walt's so much. One of my favorite bars in LA. The atmosphere is great, the pinball is so much fun, and the selection of bar food is top notch. My only gripe is it can get pretty packed, but that's a good thing for them!
Really solid neighborhood bar. Cozy during the cold season, but really pops off during the summer. The patio is amazing, and there's some great street side tables. Good beer selection, good hotdogs, great pinball. You can tell there's a lot of regulars here, and for good reason.
Are you a hipster? Do you ironically love vintage pinball machines? Then you already know about this place. But honestly this place is rad and fun and the bartender was super cute and liked my cat shirt. Defo a cool hang and worth your time if you like various vintage gaming machines (some of them (the best ones) are even set to free play)
Walt's is a cool beer bar in the Eagle Rock neighborhood. It has dope wood paneling, and a long diner style bar top, and two patios to soak up that famous SoCal weather. They also have a nice lineup of classic pinball machines. Walt's is my favorite spot to play pinball in LA because they actually have cool old games, not just the same lineup of brand new games that everybody else clings to.
The classiest hot dogs/pretzels you will find in Glassell Park accompanied by an excellent selection of cold beers and other delicious beverages. The games are in excellent shape, well cared for and they work perfectly. Great atmosphere, several areas to enjoy, nice bathrooms, and friendly staff in a great location. Highly recommend this super fun spot to have a drink, play some games, and spend some good times with friends.
Delicious pretzels, fine wines, and a great selection of rotating beers on tap. Not to mention all the classic pinball machines you won't find anywhere else in the city. This place is gorgeous inside (with patio seating as well) and is clearly a labor of love.
Easily the best beer bar in the area. Always a good time. Perfect for a chill date or a meeting place to have a cold one with a few friends. Try to come early if you actually want to play pin ball. Gets busy at night. Good selection of beer and sandwiches.
What a lovely little pinball bar! The games were so, so fun and honestly they have one of the best dogs I’ve ever had. 10/10 experience.
Crowded but relaxed bar with a chill clientele and very busy staff. It's loud but not head-pounding and and the prices are good. Food and drinks are also good, especially the hot pretzel. Lots of pinball games plus a few other arcade games, indoor and outdoor seating, and a fun vibe.
Great bar! Food and drinks were awesome. Love the retro, nostalgic vibe.
Love love love coming to Walt’s. We got a couple of hot dogs and a pretzel to share and had a great time! I love how they add brown mustard to the hot dog - most places use yellow mustard. The bartenders are friendly and quick to take your orders. There’s usually a line out the door in front of the cash register but you can order from any bartender from the bar. The beers add to the vibe but I didn’t see any wine on their menu (I also didn’t ask do that might be on me). The signage outside is super cool and the decor is eclectic and fun. We loved playing rounds of pinball. $0.50 gets you 3 rounds of pinball so it’s definitely a cheap and fun time.
Great new pinball bar in Eagle Rock. They have a collection of 9 pinball machines that are rotated out frequently. They have a very nice collection of craft beer on tap with some bottle and cans. Plus if you are not a wine person try their awesome selection of wine. The bar does have a dated feel to it which complements the mainly “Bally” pinball machines. Most games only cost either $.25 or $.50 to play. Very reasonable. If you are an enthusiastic pinball player every Wednesday @8pm they have a triple elimination tournament. Nothing serious and a very social crowd. I have not tried the food but they have pretzels hotdogs and a cool looking peanut machine. Bringing he retro gaming world to Eagle Rock is a huge up. Can’t wait to go back.
Great place for pinball fun! I went on a Friday with my best friend we wrapped the night up with a perfect hotdog. We got the non-vegan option but they have a vegan option too.
Heck of a place, the staff is top notch, and only kicks u out if u really act up. Pretzel = Yum! These guys especially sure know how to keep a place in order. Good stuff
The coolest spot ever. Everything is effortlessly playful.. hip crowd. Pretzel is 🔥. You.need.to.stop.by.
I love this place. The bartenders are friendly, they allow dogs on the front patio, the beer is good and the hot dogs …. don’t even get me started they’re the best hot dogs ever I can’t explain it. I feel comfortable coming here alone as a woman, and that is a huge plus. You have to try the Ice Cold Beer game. It’s a lot of fun. They also always have cute pop ups. I wish it were cheaper, but that’s just LA. Be prepared to park in the neighborhood and walk.
I only came in here for a little bit but I loved the ambiance and the clinking of the machines. It was a great way to pass the time on a rainy day and spend some quarters. Cant wait to come back and try the hotdogs!
The hot dogs and pretzels were so delicious. Great atmosphere and pin ball machines games were excellent
Went for some beers, loved the place with it's vintage vibe (the outside was a plumber's place and some pin ball machines inside)
Great place for a late night snack- I always get a hot dog. The warm pretzels are also popular. There’s a list of beers and wine and plenty of non-alcoholic options too. The big thing here in pinball, and there’s a tournament Wednesday nights at 8 pm. Pinball tournament has a $5 entry fee.
LOVE this place! Great veggie dogs and ginger ale. Vintage pinball some are rather hard. But overall worth it.
Walts is my favorite eagle rock bar, and probably one of my top bars in la to visit. The hot dogs are great. Beer is perfect. Pinball machines epic.

my favorite neighborhood spot. best hotdogs around and a good beer selection. grab a couple draft pints, then get a hamm's with a hot dog and play some pinball. bartenders are super chill. can get busy busy after 9pm, but its a fun environment.
Solid beer options, a load of vending machines, and a killer atmosphere. Super relaxed, nice mellow atmosphere, would definitely come back regularly if I lived in the area.
why is something so disgusting as a hotdog so good and soul soothing? idk this is like how hotdogs were when you were a child before nitrous and w/e else they put in them nowadays
Much of the lighting here is provided by 10 pinball machines, about 50 cents to play, and it’s frequented by mostly friendly people who come in groups. It’s quite narrow inside, so it isn’t the kind of bar that would have things like karaoke or dancing, but it’s great to have a drink and catch up with friends or play pinball. They serve about 5-10 craft beers and wine along with hot dogs (delicious) and chips (get jalapeño!). The workers are friendly and polite. The place is pretty clean. There is ample seating in the front of the building for individuals and groups with limited group seating inside. Most of the seating inside is gonna be at the bar or standing by a pinball machine. There is a non-smoking back patio that has tables for groups of 2-6 depending how close you’d all like to sit with each other. You can smoke in the front. People also bring their dogs sometimes in the front and also back patios. The front seating is pretty much on the sidewalk kinda as an extension of the building. Lots of round tables and individual stools. I think the place is great for small groups that don’t mind being close to strangers (it is a bit more spaced out in the back), but I wouldn’t recommend it for dates if you require some more privacy, and it isn’t the kind of bar you go to alone, BUT they are perfectly accommodating of people who are there alone as I was, and the people were all nice enough. It’s just that pretty much everyone there is there to hang out with their friends (nothing wrong with that!), and almost nobody goes alone

Really fun place! Cheap beer, good music, college crowd. They’ve got pinball machines too. And when I went, at the end of the night, the bartender gave me the last hotdog 😅
The brewhouse atmosphere with their numerous beer taps is somewhat fun. The pinball machines are popular and the service is friendly. Their menu is a huge let-down. Eat before you go! When I went, Walt's only offered three food items; hot dogs, pretzels, or a small bag of potato chips.
Walt's bar is a hole in the wall that looks like something out of an 80s after school special It's got a couple of pinball machine and serves bar food and drinks. Not a wide selection of beers but it's a cute little space.

New to the area, went in on a Tuesday night to play pinball. Wasn't too busy. Waited at the bar for beer and hot dogs before our play session. Ended up leaving after being skipped over/ignored more than a few times. It looks like from reviews a lot of other people love this place, so not sure what happened. Even the person drinking a beer next to us was a little apologetic as they saw us skipped over. Kind of sucked because we are huge pinball lovers and generally easy-going, nice people, and sounds like the owner is a fellow pinhead with lots of machines. Was pretty hipster-y, and I really hope that the "cool kid vibe" isn't what caused that. Might give it another shot in the future but unlikely with Revenge of and Barcade in the area, too.
Great natural wines and beers but my god the service is horrendous. The bartender with long hair purposefully was passing on taking my order when a guy came up to the bar (I’m female). This is the second time I went there and the second time this happened! Honestly the pinball machines are fun but the service is beyond slow and the guys who work there put off a vibe that they’re too good to be there.
