Probably some of the best pie I’ve had in Los Angeles. I had the pecan, which is the best seller and the apple pie. What makes the apple pie special is how it’s not too sweet, and the crust is buttery. Definitely overpriced, but hey, it’s Brentwood and I don’t mind because it’s so high-quality.
I had the pleasure of visiting this charming bakery nestled in the bustling streets of Brentwood, an experience that left a lasting impression not just on my taste buds, but also on my heart. This little gem offers an impressive array of pies, freshly baked and ready to enchant anyone looking for a bite of comfort. What sets this place apart is its inclusive approach to baking - catering to both gluten-free and vegan preferences without compromising on taste or texture. Their mixed berries crumble, bursting with flavors and cradled in a delicate, flaky crust, is a testament to their craftsmanship and attention to detail. However, the real scene-stealer for me was their classic apple pie. An emblem of homemade warmth and happiness, this pie, with its perfectly spiced filling encased in a buttery, golden crust, was nothing short of perfection. It's no wonder there's always a buzz around this bakery, especially during the festive season. Their pumpkin pie, a seasonal delight, garners praise and anticipation, drawing crowds who, in the spirit of Thanksgiving and camaraderie, queue up early in the morning - some who plan ahead and those who regretfully didn't. This bakery is not just about exquisite pies; it's about creating memories, a sense of community, and a welcoming atmosphere that beckons you back time and again. Whether you are a local or just passing through Brentwood, missing out on this charming pie shop would be a regrettable oversight. It's a place where every bite tells a story of passion, tradition, and the joy of sharing good food. Highly recommended!
Walking into Winston Pies in Brentwood on the eve of New Year's Eve was like stepping into pie heaven. The aroma of freshly baked pie crust enveloped the space and was a wonderful welcome. Winston Pies has a short but impressive menu, from the ever-popular Carolina Classic Cherry to the gluten-free Classic Southern Pecan. Each slice tells a story, a testament to the craftsmanship that goes into creating these delectable treats. The Carolina Classic Cherry burst with a symphony of sweet and tart notes, while the gluten-free pecan pie defies expectations, proving that dietary restrictions need not sacrifice flavor. My good fortune peaked as I snagged the last apple and pumpkin pies. The service at Winston Pies was nothing short of exceptional. The staff patiently navigated me through my selections. It's rare to encounter such a perfect blend of mouthwatering desserts and genuine hospitality. I eagerly anticipate a return, where I’ve promised myself a sample of their pie bites. Winston Pies is a slice of pie heaven!
Best cherry pie that I have ever had! Really, the best! Far and away the best! Crust was perfect amount of chewy and flaky. The filling was the perfect mix of sweet and tart. Lots of cherries. If I lived here, I’d go broke on pies!
Was a little shocked to pay $10 for a single serving of pie, but then I took a bite. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The store itself is clean, organized and professional looking. The pie came in a very cute personal box that made it very easy to eat. I live in Anaheim, but will be stopping by this shop the next time I am in the area.
No doubt the best pies in North America! Did not expect that a small triangular box can carry so much happiness with every bite! The Pecan and boubac pies are to die for! Coffee is also so good and the ladies inside the store are wonderful!
Four stars for the food and another star for the aesthetic. The pies are definitely a little pricey, but it was still a nice dessert to have. Unless you eat a lot, I would say that the portions they recommend are a little too big.
If you're into pie I can't speak highly enough about this place! As somewhat of a pie snob, I can honestly say that I've never had better pie anywhere. Period. Quality of ingredients is paramount and it is very obvious that the fruit pies are made in house with fresh fruit. The crusts are flaky and perfect and paired with each pie exquisitely (check out the salty oatmeal crust on the Chocolate Cowgirl!). Their coffee is also pretty good and they've got WiFi to boot so go try a couple slices as you sip on a latte and work on a laptop. My only fault with this place is that I can't plug in my ancient laptop because they don't have any outlets. Fix this and I'll find a way to leave a 6-star review.
Best organic pie ever. Cherry pie is my favorite. The chewy amazingly out of this world pie crust, Yummy!!! one of a kind. Chocolate pie, OMG, amazing too. I definitely recommend Winston's Pies¡
Pies look delicious, made with quality ingredients, taste pretty good. Service is great and friendly.
They have gluten free pies!!!! By the slice!!! I don't know the last time I had pecan pie 🥧 Yum!

Be sure to ask about seasonal pies. We had the staples, those were amazing, three minis, first the cherry; not too sweet not too tart but just deliciously right, next the chocolate cowgirl generated that taste bud tingle, so good. Lastly, the apple, which made it all the way home, (the other two eaten on the drive), received a warm up in toaster oven then a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. Such a great treat the taste bud hasn't stopped yet.
I’ve been going to Winston Pies for a while now, and I’m always impressed with their creative ingredient combos. The fruits and fillings are always fresh, and the crust is just perfect. Each location I’ve visited has a unique and thoughtful design that fits the area. The staff are super friendly and clearly well-trained. They make you feel welcome and are always ready to help. I recently checked out their new spot in Studio City, and it was amazing. There’s a lovely outdoor area where you can enjoy a slice of pie with a freshly brewed coffee. The decor is charming, and they have a great display of all the pie options they’re famous for.
These are excellent pies. Exceptionally good crust, filling and execution. They’re so good that even though they aren’t cheap they are worth every penny. This place serves pies that taste like I imagine them to be. Most pies don’t do that. I don’t do a lot of reviews but I want to make sure people try this place, it deserves our attention.
Winston Pies is a pie lover's paradise. With a variety that spans every flavor imaginable, it's a haven for dessert enthusiasts. The standout pecan and cherry pies are nothing short of heavenly, combining a perfect balance of sweetness and flaky goodness. The attention to detail in crafting these pies is evident with each delightful bite. Whether you're a pie aficionado or just indulging in a sweet craving, Winston Pies is a must-visit for an exquisite and diverse pie experience.
I have high expectations when it comes to pie… that said, my order yesterday was outstanding!!! It was my first time ordering from Winston, and ordered a full size peach along with 4 small pies for a birthday. The crust was insane and had me thinking about it all day! I’d say my very favorites were the peach bourbon and mixed berry crumble pies, but they were all worthy of praise! Well done Winston!!

Cherry pie like I've never had 🥰. Key West lime pie was tart and sweet, unsweetened whipped cream could have balanced it perfectly, but delish nevertheless. happy and competent service...as the one server making our cappuccinos said (something like this...) "its hard to be in a bad mood when serving pie" This was a pricey treat. A whole pie is 59. But any of the fruit pies would be worth it - esp if you're asked to bring dessert to a dinner. Gluten free crust with pecan pie. 🥧

Winston Pies nails the neighborhood bakery vibe with standout service every single time — warm, quick, and genuinely kind. The pies? When they’re good, they’re really good. A few have missed the mark, but more often than not, they deliver that buttery, nostalgic magic you’re hoping for. It’s the kind of place you pop into “just to look” and leave with two slices and no regrets. Solid spot that earns its stripes (and its sugar).

The pumkin pie was NOT what I expected for the outrageous price $$ Seriously! I took it to a get together & at least 1/2 was left.No one wanted to take the 'left-overs' Enuf said, never again! (BTW, there was another homemade pie that was way more popular, just saying. This place came highly recommended.)

I really want this place to be good but it’s just not. I’ve tried almost every flavor and none of them stood out to me - except for the cookies and cream which might actually be the worst pie I’ve ever tasted. Maybe the pie would be a little better if you could get it fresh but all of the pie they sell in shop is several days old. They bake it at a central location in LA and deliver it to each location. They make way too much at once and leave it sitting out on a shelf until it sells. It’s dry and bland, you’d be better off going somewhere else
