We love bbq and this is the place to be. Beef ribs can't be beat. Delicious. Onion shreds were great also.
The food was enjoyed by everyone. My brisket was so tender, but it lacked flavor. I expected a full-bodied, smoky well-seasoned meat; and it was lacking. I had a spicy margarita and it was delicious. Service was good, but we did wait quite a while for drinks, and after we asked for additional items. It was good overall. I’d go here again.
Took my sister here for her Birthday. She got the baby back ribs. I got 2 veggie sides. We shared the thin onion rings. Everything was very good. The atmosphere is very beautiful. The service is excellent. I high recommend going here. Reservations are recommended.
My wife and I were looking for a new place to eat in the neighborhood and thought we would give Wood Ranch a try. So glad we did, it far exceeded our expectations. We decided to sit at the bar and sample quite a few items on the menu. First of all these were the best beef ribs either of us have ever had. Period. Also enjoyed the amazing Caesar salad, peanut Cole slaw, garlic rolls, artichoke dip (with chips and salsa), honey blonde beer and espresso martinis. Fries were ok but not as great as everything else, really the only thing we didn't love but still not bad. Because we were celebrating our wedding anniversary we were given a hot fudge sundae "on the house". That leads me to our server/bartender Candice who could not have been any friendlier or attentive to everything we needed to make this a special and extremely enjoyable meal. We are already looking forward to our next visit. We highly recommend Wood Ranch, sit at the bar and order at least one beef rib you will not be disappointed. 5 stars.
Great food big portions couldn’t finish it great value highly recommend
Bbq is usually low brow and expensive. Here it’s high brow and still expensive. Interesting experience, steakhouse feel with legit smoky bbq flavor. The tri tip was very good
So much has changed in the wake of the pandemic, but it's comforting to see that some things are still the same: Los Angeles traffic is as unbearable as ever, Nick Cannon and Phillip Rivers remain in heated competition over who can have more children, and Wood Ranch delivers some top notch barbeque. My fans will be very pleased to know this is a tremendous establishment. As someone whose strict diet requires him to eat barbeque at least once per month, I'm beyond relieved that a 5-star BBQ spot opened on this stretch of Wilshire (previously the only BBQ was the McRib at McDonald's, and my doctor says that my body can't handle another case of cholera). The spinach artichoke dip, baby back ribs, tri tip, and brisket are all top notch. The meat from the ribs was incredibly tender and slid off the bone, the brisket had a beautiful crisp finish to the outside, but the real standout was the tri tip- a perfect wedding of juicy, marbled, savory meat with lightly sweet (but not overwhelming) barbeque sauce. Of all the food we ordered, the only thing we really could have done without was the order of Buffalo wings. The sides offer a delectable treat that complement but don't overpower the main attraction that is the meat. I've received word from a few thousand fans that they'd like a power ranking of sides, so I will oblige: 1. French fries 2. Cole slaw 3. Roasted corn 4. Mac N Cheese 5. Beans I'm also happy to report that ambience really adds to the dining experience. With its dim lights and modern indie/pop music, the upscale yet comfortable vibe is a welcome addition to the Brentwood dining scene. Overall, I couldn't have been happier with the food and service at Wood Ranch. I doubt that even True American Hero Guy Fieri could have designed a better barbeque experience. 5 stars!
This is by far my favorite restaurant. The flavor of everything is on point. For a chain restaurant this one breaks the mold. My go to is the half chicken, asparagus wood fired and broccoli steamed.
I really been here hundreds times and will come million more!! The best if you are in mood for rib or brisket! The Pecan wood beef ribs in cherry-chipotle sauce with a side of sweet potato, corn, mashed potato, coleslaw are to die for!! The buffalo cauliflower is awesome! The service is always lovely!! I also tried their salmon and white fish - they are both great! Caesar salad is great too. Please come hungry, seriously!!
Oh my good goodness! Let me start by saying that I’m from Louisiana and lived in Texas for years so I KNOW BBQ! Those garlic rolls were divine! Warm and fluffy! I had the brisket with smashed sweet potatoes and grilled roasted cauliflower!! I did the Happy Dance! Everything was so delicious! Brisket was so tender I didn’t need a knife, and very flavorful. You could tell it was the real deal and not baked or boiled with sauce dumped on it. The cauliflower was super tasty as were the potatoes! My server was friendly and attentive and helped me choose. The atmosphere is chill and not too noisy. A good date or family dinner spot. I will definitely return next time I get a hankering for BBQ There is $9 valet only or street parking.
I've never been to this restaurant before or heard of this place. I came because my husband's uncle invited us. The food was awesome! I had pulled pork, mac and cheese, and broccoli. The meat was delicious. My husband and baby back ribs, mashed potatoes, and sweet beans. Ribs were cooked just right! The employees were nice. We were an hour early from our reservation time. No problem with that. We were seated in 10 minutes. I will be back again.
Beautiful peaceful elegant scrumptious, had our Halloween dinner here. We had the brisket well done, with potatoes and grilled asparagus on the side. It was, juicy melt in your mouth kind of meat, our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive to our needs. Spacious comfortable booths were a big plus.
Great night here at Wood Ranch! It was our first time here and we enjoyed every aspect of the experience. The steak (filet mignon) was great and the ultimate burger was on a another level of great! Mist try if you are in the area. It is your typical neighborhood steakhouse with all the charm you would expect.
Michelle Host, Jennifer Manager and Raul the server (Ven.) , all of the team staff were great and always with an amazing attitude and smile in their face. Had a great time over there, food was amazing and ambient too. My only complaint is about the parking… only valet and every parking in the street was taken, and even with a huge parking lot empty… they don’t allow you to park by yourself, asking for $10 for a valet parking… seems to be unfair. Had the Hot Spinach Artichoke Dip with Tortillas Garlic Bread Half Roasted Chicken 4 Beef Ribs, and the sides were absolutely delicious!
Good food, great service, large portions.
First time at Wood Ranch, came with a huge fan. He knew what to order without looking at the menu, great experience. Service is friendly and efficient, they know how to properly serve. We got the BBQ Chopped salad, the shredded onions, and a rack of baby back ribs. Simply delicious. I would highly recommend! If you like wine, they have a special on Tuesday's with 30% off on the wine. I thought the Zinfandel paired nicely with the BBQ meat.

Good food, great service, large portions.
First time here. Live music. Lively atmosphere. Busy restaurant. I got Carolina Pulled Pork without a bun and baked beans. Beans were definitely a tomato based sauce but really good.
Had a great meal tonight. Would def go back. Great relaxed vibe. The service was top notch. Both Boyd, the bartender (who makes great margaritas) and Jennifer, the Manager were super helpful, attentive and frankly just nice people. Thanks for the good times.
We are visiting from the UK and of course had to come and try out some proper barbecue food. This place is a must have if you want to try a little bit of everything. We had the barbecue combo with 2 side consisting of beef brisket, baby back ribs, seasoned fries and pan fried corn. This was enough for two people but you can always add more after! We finished with a Oreo crush dessert which was perfect. Overall, the food was outstanding and our server Cale was very helpful, answering any questions we had and generally providing a great service. I would recommend this place to anyone but particularly those visiting from abroad!

We went on a Friday night for a casual dinner at around 8:15. We were seated right away. Good service, good selection of food and drinks. We shared the artichoke dip and a sandwich. Both were good. We were also given garlic rolls which were delicious. We would go back. Good atmosphere with a lot of people and a casual vibe.
Food was good, waitress was friendly. We ordered a full rack of ribs, onion appitizer and a salad...This fed 3 people and we had leftovers (one of us was a small eater)
I’ve ordered takeout from Wood Ranch in Brentwood twice now, and the food has been consistently excellent. The brisket was tender and flavorful, the beef and pork ribs were both fantastic! Meaty, juicy, and cooked just right. The thin onion rings were next level good. Super crispy, light, and addictive. Mac and cheese was creamy and satisfying, and the fries were perfectly done. Everything held up surprisingly well even for takeout. The one issue, and why I’m giving 4 instead of 5 stars, is their BBQ sauce. I just didn’t like it. Way too sweet with a strange aftertaste that didn’t do the meat any favors. The first time I ordered, I didn’t think to ask for it on the side and kind of regretted it. The second time, I asked for no sauce and used my own bottle of Gates BBQ sauce at home and that made a huge difference. Without their sauce, the food really shines. Overall, it’s one of the better BBQ spots around, even for takeout. Great quality, generous portions, and fast, efficient service. Just skip their sauce and you’re good to go.
Went on a Tuesday evening around 7:30pm. Found metered parking quickly. I sat quickly at the bar area (Two TV's). A chatty atmosphere and attentive staff. I ordered the Carolina Pulled Pork Sandwich with Skin-On Fries. I've had Wood Ranch before so I knew what to expect. I liked the cleanliness of the place (restroom included). My first time at this location. I will definitely be back.
Great food and service but the drinks are a bit inconsistent on the pour.
Here’s a shorter version: Great experience at Wood Ranch Brentwood! The ribs were tender and flavorful, and the crispy onion strings were a perfect side. Dessert was a warm cookie with ice cream and caramel—delicious! Service was attentive, but portions could be a bit larger. Overall, a solid 4/5!
The Cajun salmon is soooo delicious. The server w the blonde buzz cute was AMAZING. Really knew the menu. 4 stars because the hostess w straight hair kept staring and mad dogging me and my boyfriend. I used to be a hostess, and I would never stare and especially not mad dog any guest or couple. She needs to be retrained. Thank you.
Came for birthday dinner for first time, ordered trio and ribs. Service was good, pleasant atmosphere. The only negative part was BBQ sauce which I'm not a big fan especially on the rib.

One of the best burgers ive ever had. But it's just not the same if you get it to go. Also ive falling in love with their seabass avail thurs-sunday and they always run out. I like mine blackened.
I had the baby back ribs have to say ...I wasn't disappointed. Service at the restaurant was good but some of the booths and tables could use a refresh also the carpet at the entrance. The negatives did not affect the quality of the food but the place needs a little attention.
The restaurant was busy on a Sunday evening but our party of 3 was quickly seated in a nice booth. The environment felt clean safe and welcoming.I had not been here for two years I had met Grant who was extremely kind and generous in ensuring my visit was a good and memorable one.. Our waiter Jesse was very friendly hard working and well versed on the menu. I ordered what I had ordered in the past - 5 baby back rib dinner with two sides( one side changed to Caesar salad for additional $2)-The food was still good but be prepared that the portions were extremely small-( very small baked potato about 3inches long-) and the smallest ribs I was ever served in a bbq place. Having families in the restaurant business and foodie friends from the south who know bbq—just be prepared that the portion size have drastically reduced but at least the food was good. I have been to another bbq place recently which was star rated but the portions were more generous and price point the same price range. Our waiter and my friends made my dining experience pleasant and worth another visit in the future to re review this restaurant and access any dining differences.

Hard to rate because the hostess immediately ruined the encounter upon arrival. We had reservations yo celebrate our mothers birthday. However Mariana looked at us like she felt we weren't good enough to dine there. When we greeted her we were friendly and high spirited about celebrating. Unfortunately her demeanor prevented my mom from enjoying the experience. MINNIE and Jose however were fantastic. They took such great care of us and were quick to make sure we didn't need anything. I will say this was the first and last time at this location due to the severe level of animosity my mom felt from her. The food was good as always and fresh. Plenty of parking. Restaurant seemed dead on a weekend can't help to wonder if it's due to the hostess. She shows bias and you can tell based on how she interacted with people she assumed may be more worthy of her attention and those she didn't even smile at, like our party of 5. Ruining a first visit and a birthday meal is why the service score is a 3 not a 5.
The ambience is great. Very nice family restaurant. The tri tip was very good. Medium to medium rare and it was so tender. Good flavoring. Waiter was nice and attentive. The reason for the low rating was for the baby back Bbq ribs and the mashed potatoes. The ribs were so dry. They were way overcooked and the mashed potatoes seemed like they were scraped off from the bottom of the pot. It had brown spots like it’s been sitting for an hour. It tasted good but it was a little too thick. You gotta expect a lot for a pricey plate of food. But I’ll give it another go. Have to consider that they are still new and adjusting.
This to me is a generous rating. We were not expecting an ultimate best steak dinner and expectations we’re actually low. Food was decent. Unfortunately, service wasn’t that great. Our server somehow got the order wrong and I wish he would have just apologized and fixed the issue. He came back at our table and said we ordered what they brought to our table. The manager did her best to rectify but perhaps it was too late, our server hardly came back to our table and see if we needed anything else. I wish it was a better service. I could observe another server was really taking care of his table from start to end, very friendly to guests.

I came here for my birthday dinner with medium expectations. As the reviews looked decent. I ordered the bbq pulled pork sandwich with the corn side. The server failed to mention the corn was extremely spicy/hot. The sandwich was extremely dry. I asked for a side of bbq sauce, and the bbq sauce was watery and very unpleasant. So we asked for another side of bbq sauce for the ribs, that was unpleasant as well. I don’t usually write reviews. But for the price, it’s not worth it. Rosie’s bbq is 100% better and half the price. Safe yourself the time and money and go somewhere else
Peanut allergy / allergic warning: I had a cross contamination incident (seemingly peanut in mac & cheese) and I wish they didn't even include peanuts on their menu at all as it doesn't seem like a typical BBQ ingredient anyway. Similar to another reviewer on Yelp, I had a cross contamination incident and truly warn folks not to eat here if you have a severe peanut allergy. They were nice and checked in and tried to be reassuring, but the bite of Mac & cheese was definitely something nutty and risky. Bottom line: I still love the taste of the food and I had a great time otherwise, but I hate to have to give the establishment 2 stars for the cross contamination fear. If you don't have allergies, then you're good!
I placed a take out order in person about 90 mins before closing. When I go to pick up my order, I find out that my order was never placed and therefore not ready. After a little wait, the staff apologized, completed my order and gave me a good discount. Opening the side of broccoli, I FIND A RANDOM BOLT. Rest of the food was good.
I do not recommend this location. The food caused me to become ill, and the manager’s response was unhelpful and unprofessional. After reporting the issue, no corrective action was taken. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Department of Health and contacting corporate regarding this matter. I will not be returning to this location.
We reserved a table for 20 people, and when we arrived to order, three of the most popular dishes were no longer available. We thought this was absurd, but we ordered other dishes, though the food wasn't as good.
