DELICIOUS coffee :-) the orange mocha was light and sweet with the right amount of citrus. Quite pricey ($8) with non-dairy alternative but it is understandable for the area and quality. I recommend!
Great coffee! I have been here a few times and it’s really consistent! Awesome vibe!
Brief but great experience at Woodcat. The attendant was friendly, and the drip coffee I got was strong but tasty/not sour. I will try to visit again and maybe get some work done there.
woodcat coffee bar ☕️ the wonderful little coffee shop with full of flavor! I miraculously found a seat to share to do some work :) it’s a preetty small place but a cozy place!
As in siping on my Dino cat .. I couldn’t fathom being away from how good this espresso feels. I’ll be back for a second bag soon! The espresso has a perfect balance for any at home espresso machine. Highly recommend! This cafe is also just perfect to stop in and half a chat.
This place has the best coffee in the entire neighborhood, especially for those who came from post-Soviet countries and are looking for that familiar, nostalgic taste. This is exactly where you’ll find it. The service is always friendly , the staff are warm, smiling, positive, and genuinely helpful. I keep coming back again and again. They also have both indoor and outdoor seating, which is very convenient.
Chill cafe with minimal seating inside. Got a matcha tonic and it was a little clumpy. Still - not too shabby. They use Matchaful powder. Barista was way too chill. Not even sure he was a real person. I will return for a beverage again.
Being from Seattle, we’re living in Los Angeles I love the authority selection of cafés but this company had a special drink but I just had to try and oh my God do I love it! Hi Tracy, ice Spanish latte also known as “sweet baby Joe “ this iced cinnamon flavored drink or is the soap, smooth perfection in a cup! Hey Siri does wonderful have a lot of eclectic items I might recommend trying to chocolate brownie cookie. I love this place up it says around for a while!
Great coffee around Echo Park. The area feels chaotic but this shop is a nice reprieve. Lots of metered spots nearby (though it gets crowded). Tall ceilings and open space. No AC, so it can get hot. Little seating with uncomfortable stools and small tables. Has wifi. Wouldn’t want to work here for an extended period of time, but overall it’s a good coffee bar. Friendly staff and service, decent prices. Took me way too long to realize woodcat meant rabbit (or hare?). Very cute haha.
Awesome coffee shop with great retro, industrial vibe with tasty coffee . Love the coffee selection and staffs were super friendly and nice !! Since its on my neighbourhood, gonna go all the time now.

Fantastic coffee with good vegan options! Chill vibe and everything one could want in an independent coffee house. Plus i love the name Woodcat!
Woodcat coffee is my favorite cafe in LA! (Along with Dinosaur coffee, their sister shop) Their coffee is top tier, and the cafe is very low drama, cozy, efficient, and unpretentious... unlike some of the competition (you probably know who). Never have to wait in a line that stretches out into the street. But their coffee is some of the best in town, if not the best.
I love stopping in here every time I’m in town! I even order their coffee to get shipped to me in DC!

We've been in the US for three weeks and this was about the best coffee we've had since leaving Australia... Great coffee, perfect temperature, smooth...

It's a fine place. I didn't notice anything especially interesting but the staff were nice, I liked the chai and their baked goods were GOOD; I strongly recommend all their cookies.
Got the iced matcha and it was delicious, well mixed and ice ice cold. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the music is at an appropriate level so it’s comfortable for work and a conversation. Their drinks are on the pricier side so keep that in mind. They also have outdoor seating and a shop next door that has a lot of interesting trinkets and food items.
I visited Woodcat a couple of times and had good coffee on both occasions. However, I probably prefer its sister coffee shop Dinosaur Coffee further up Sunset Boulevard for its more open and brighter space. But it's not the dark-tone, cramped space that bothers me the most, it's the lack of enthusiasm, excitement, and exuberance—the energy I got when I first saw their colorful bean bags at another coffee shop—that dissuaded me from visiting more often. The baristas are friendly but seem tired; the drink menu displays no creativity; even the yellow light from a small table lamp makes me feel sleepy and cancels out the caffeination I am there for. Anyway, I'm probably biased. Echo Park is full of chic, sunny, modern coffee shops, it for sure can use a neighborhood-y, no-frills place like this.

Woodcat is, what I would call a utilitarian coffee house. Bare basics, concrete floor, steel sheet wrapped table tops, and woodish walls. Unfortunately on this day with a less than enthusiastic barista. I wasn't greeted when I walked in, stood there for a minute, then found a table in the back and returned with my cup. I presented my own cup as i usually do (a camouflaged basic plastic Starbucks cup) and was charged $4+ tax, for one cup of coffee. For which, especially after tasting the coffee, was less than thrilled. For the record, had i left my cup at home, and been presented with a new paper cup lid and sleeve, Woodcat coffee is $3 and $4 per cup, I requested a cup of medium roast, and was told that "all of our coffee was medium roast". The coffee I had was an unusually chocolaty/sweet black coffee. I'd probably give 3.5 stars, but rounding down here.

Delightful barista's mood quickly soured when some blonde woman, presumably owner or management, walked in and started barking orders. Cardamom syrup was gross but grosser is ownership who treat their staff aggressively, do better
I go to a lot of cafes in LA/OC so to say that this is the worst experience I’ve ever had is saying something. The workers (specifically a woman at the register who gave us the meanest look ever when we said hello and asked how are you) look like they really don’t want to be there, and barely look up or call your name when your order is ready. She seemed aloof and pretentious, almost like she’s implying that she’s above being kind (or at the very least, polite) to paying customers. I thought it was just me but I saw her do the exact same thing to people behind us, and I overheard someone saying, “wow that’s uh…an interesting attitude.” I would MAYBE excuse all of this if the overpriced coffee was at least decent, but the dark maple coffee was perhaps one of the worst things I’ve ever tasted. I couldn’t believe how bad this experience was. Almost ruined my morning, but then I found another coffee shop down the street where the baristas were so friendly, the coffee was the same price yet actually fantastic, and the energy/vibes were much sweeter.
