We chose this restaurant based on the positive reviews on Tripadvisor. We made an excellent choice! The restaurant is small but very well-appointed and decorated. I'd describe it as casual. Excellent service. They immediately put us at ease with their professionalism and friendliness. The service was attentive and fast. The menu features classic Italian dishes and others with interesting pairings. A nice selection of wines. The prices are a bit high, but the quality of the products is excellent.

This is a very lovely restaurant, the food was excellent, tasty, delicate, very well presented. The owner of the restaurant took his time to come to us and introduce to us the dishes. I gave only 4 stars because the vine although was of good quality came with residues, not very nice to see it.

Location carina, abbastanza curata, personale gentile un po’ rustico ma frizzante forse un po’ freddino con gli avventori non abituali. I recently went to the "Mas" restaurant and I must say the dining experience was truly enjoyable! The food was exquisite. I ordered the pasta with clams for my first course, which was made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The dish was elegantly presented and appetizing. The main course was the Wagyu A5, which needs no explanation. Simply fantastic. The prices were reasonable given the quality of the dishes served. I highly recommend the custard with berries. The restaurant had a welcoming and intimate atmosphere, with modern and refined decor. The background music was pleasant and not too loud. The owner, I suspect, was very friendly and professional. However, there was one issue we noticed right away. Since it's a refined restaurant, there was a slight sense of prejudice, as we were dressed casually—jeans and T-shirts. I mentioned that I hadn't booked and was immediately told that I needed to check the availability of dinner. Very quickly, he told us that if he were quick, he would have a table—the last one, in a "hidden" corner. We arrived around 7:30 PM and left around 9:30 PM. There were only a few tables occupied, including the best ones, with a lake view, almost all available; as soon as a group of four people, elegantly dressed, waved. I understand that there may be exclusive venues with a dress code, but I don't think that was the case. I was just disappointed by this... there were plenty of seats available, but the lack of a "jacket and tie" made the experience less appealing. I hope that in the future, the "inclusive venue" label on the menu will actually be true...

I first and foremost critique a place by the food. I've lived in Italy for five years, so I have a good understanding of what quality means here. We ordered a starter which was the frittata (baked eggs and vegetables). The frittata had no salt or pepper or milk added to it at all. Now, I could live without added milk (chef's choice recipe I suppose), but no salt or pepper made the dish extremely bland. Frankly, I could have made a better frittata at home. For the second dish, I had the ravioli with pumpkin and ox tail. The dish was well cooked. However, the ingredients simply didn't go together well. The ox tail was delicious, but it completely overwhelmed the rather delicate taste of pumpkin in the ravioli. Now, in a basic trattoria, I could perhaps live with poor sauce pairing, but frankly, if you brand yourself as up-scale, your chef should be able to deliver to that palette and price point. I give one star for the exceptional wine list and the other for a nice ambiance as the restaurant was very cute. Lastly, the service was questionable. There was a Christmas party going on in the banquet room, so perhaps that was why. Nevertheless, the waitress was sniffling and sneezing openly while carrying over open plates of food. When we asked for the check, we waited 10 minutes and had to follow up again. Overall, I will give the Mas restaurant another chance, simply because perhaps they were having an off day, but for now, it's 2 stars.

Eravamo un tavolo da 10, abbiamo preso tutti piatti diversi, e sembrava tutto buono. Peccato che dopo essere usciti da poco dal ristorante la metà di noi ha dovuto fermarsi in mezzo alla strada più e più volte perché stavamo molto molto molto male. Il proprietario, scortese in locale, si è riconfermato tale al telefono dopo aver segnalato questo disguido. Neanche una scusa o un mi dispiace. Totalmente negativo. Ad aggiungere, servizio molto lento e non preciso. Non ha bibite (e fin qui comprensibile) ma alla richiesta ci ha trattati in modo ancora una volta molto scortese Sconsigliato

Facciamo finta che il locale sia pulito, facciamo finta che non ci siano ragnatele, ok, è il resto? Il servizio a dir poco imbarazzante: la ragazza, giovane, che lavora ai tavoli molto precisa e gentile, il titolare a dir poco imbarazzante; Cito la conversazione testualmente: “Sarebbe possibile togliere le melanzane?” “No” “Ma io sono allergica..” “Allora prendi altro..” “Ma il resto non mi piace, non si possono togliere solo le melanzane?” “No..allora non mangi..” Ora, io capisco tutto, ma si poteva rispondere in mille altri modi; poi, una volta fatto notare (preciso, che la mia amica é rimasta a digiuno..) in cassa, la risposta è stata una risatina. Pessima! Cibo tutto sommato con buona qualità prezzo, proprietario non particolarmente simpatico. Il problema è nato poco dopo usciti dal locale, eravamo in 10 , alcuni di noi ci siamo dovuti fermare in mezzo alla strada per i forti crampi allo stomaco( tutti in rientro verso Milano! Un incubo. Chiamato il giorno dopo il ristorante, nemmeno una parola di scuse da parte del proprietario . Sconsigliatissimo

Purtroppo non si possono mettere zero stelle, altrimenti sarebbe la mia opzione. Partiamo dicendo che non ho potuto cenare, il menù su internet non corrisponde a ciò che si trova nel locale. Alla mia richiesta di togliere un ingrediente dal piatto scelto (specificando che non avrei potuto mangiare altro dal menù) mi è stato risposto che non avrei mangiato. Il proprietario sgarbato, con un modo molto poco simpatico di trattare la clientela "turista". Quando gli è stato fatto notare l'atteggiamento scortese e poco professionale, si è limitato a riderci in faccia. A mio personale parere può baciarsi i gomiti che possiede un attività in una località molto visitata, altrimenti chiuderebbe a breve. Consiglio di andare altrove, oltretutto il locale è pieno di ragnatele, la pulizia scarseggia, è solo un locale apparentemente di tendenza, ma molto caro

Prenotato per 10, cibo buono, peccato che dopo 20 minuti usciti dal locale metà del tavolo ha iniziato a stare male tutto il pomeriggio e tutta la notte. Può capitare, peccato che abbiamo contattato il ristorante il giorno dopo e neanche delle scuse, imbarazzante

Proprietario poco ospitale, il servizio non è proprio in linea con i prezzi proposti, ci è capitato che le portate arrivavano fredde. Le sedie all'ingresso fanno pietà per la scomodità. Il cibo è buono ma ci sono altri posti migliori, non consiglio.

Solitamente non lascerei mai una recensione negativa, soprattutto se non ho provato il ristorante. Ma, nel 2025, per un ristorante che si autodefinisce inclusivo, non accettare i cani è ridicolo. Poteva essere un pranzo memorabile? Poteva diventare il nostro ristorante di riferimento a Lovere? Non lo sapremo mai perché non accettano i cani.

Tragic customer service. 21.09 20:50 Me and my collegues waited for a waiter, when he finally came he looked down on us from bottom to top, then he just waived on us, not indicating table for us. We knew the restaurant is closing in 45 mins, so we wanted to order as soon as possible, but waiter couldnt understand the phrase "Can we order now?" +"I want to order this". Then he just walked away for a cigarette, so we decided to leave. Climate was perfect, but we couldnt taste the food sadly.

An interesting approach to customer service we had the opportunity to experience tonight at „Mas“ restaurant in Lovere: With the hope to have a nice dinner we waited at the entrance of the venue to ask for a table. To the first executive we did not even have the chance to say „Buona sera“ as he was almost shouting at us and told us to step to the side so that guests who entered after us can get to their table in the back of the restaurant. Well, ok, let‘s wait until he will come back after serving some important guests, we thought. 5 minutes later, we were still standing at the entrance. Nobody talked to us. No other guest entered, either. A second executive came by, at least welcomed us with a „Buona sera“ and we kindly asked whether it would be possible to get a table for two. Various tables seemed to be available. „No“ was the answer. Nothing like „Unfortunately not, we are fully booked“ or „Sorry, but I would be happy to get you a reservation for tomorrow if you like“. Just „No“. I travelled a lot over the last 25 years, visited > 50 countries, and thousands of restaurants. However, this was truly an „once-in-a-lifetime“-experience. Long way to go, executives of „Mas“, a very long way. Buona serata.
