Tip: The filet is highly recommended, cooked medium rare. Also, the fried shrimp appetizer is a great value.

I had the chicken fried chicken and it was melt in your mouth good!!! The steaks are always cooked right on. The service was fabulous.
It was the most wonderful experience that I've had in a long time 😊 The food was cooked too perfection 👌 hot and tasty 😋 and all just as it was ordered. The server was fantastic she was on top of the drinks. Checked on us a few times. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. It was a perfect dining out experience, which is rare these days. I would highly recommend this location 👌
We were a party of 4 and we sat in the bar area. We showed up for dinner around 6:30 but there was a big party waiting to be seated so we figured it would be more convenient to just sit at a table in the bar area instead of waiting 45 minutes for a table. The bar tender was also our waiter and he was handling it as well as he could with as busy as they were. The food was delicious and everything came out as expected. Would definitely recommend calling ahead to get put on the list other than that everything was perfect.
The server wasn't just good, she was also very attentive with every meal we order she would ask if we had a special request or wanted something on the side like the dressing on my ceasar salad or the pico on the queso and the nuts on my cheesecake she also would go back often just to check on us and was very patient. The food was good and the term on the meat was on point 👌I liked it just a bit more than salt grass
Our server was Lucia she was great. It was my Mothers Bday an they definitely treated her with that Sunday. Food was amazing. Didnt have to wait for seating. We arrived a bit ahead of our guest. That was around 1pm. Overall a great an pleasant lunch. Way better service this time than the last.
Beautiful interior. Delicious steaks. It was not busy when I arrived. So wait time was minimal. Good hostess.
This was my first time trying Longhorn Steakhouse. I was visiting family in Lubbock from CA, and craved steakhouse. Service was great, food was delicious & prices are reasonable. I had the 12 oz ribeye w/fresh asparagus & dinner salad. Steak was perfectly cooked, seasoned & juicy. Cocktails were yummy & poured to my liking. I'll definitely go there again next time I'm in town. Recommend.
Nice atmosphere, quiet though may be less of that on a busy day. Really enjoyed the meal
We have been here multiple times, and I have already reviewed this place before. I am writing a second review to express my appreciation for the high quality of service. Our server, Aliyah went above and beyond to provide us with an outstanding experience. From a previous visit: Great service and delicious food, we went for a late dinner after 8 pm and there was not any wait time.
They were completely understaff and had ALL the sections full! but our server pulled through she was also working the bar area. Having worked in the service industry we were so impressed with our server!
This place is next to a few other restaurants, we decided on this place last minute and had about a 30-45 minute wait, which was expected on a Friday night. There's lots of parking available, and the place was super clean! The hostess was very professional and polite when getting out info. You give them your number and you can check what place you are in line from your phone, once your table is ready you get a text! We ended up getting sat right in front of the kitchen, but surprisingly it wasn't loud. Our server was great! She seemed to be taking care of us, a few other tables a birthday group, she made sure our glasses were full and brought us out bread twice. She did an awesome job. When our food came, there was nothing to complain about. Everything was perfect. The quality of the food was great, the taste was amazing, it came out in good time, kudos to the kitchen wait staff and management because we even saw managers helping their crew during this busy time and that's very rare! We def will be back.
Great Anniversary meal tonight with the wife. Sat at the bar because they were so busy, and glad we did. Bartender (John I believe) was on top of his game! Definitely be back soon!
Such a cozy place. Went to Roadhouse but major wait so decided to try Longhorn. Greeted right away and no wait. Accommodated wanting a booth. Waitress was friendly and efficient. Bread was warm and served with butter. Filet and lobster were cooked to perfection. Absolutely delicious. Caesar salad was crisp and just the right amount of dressing. Stuffed mushrooms were cheesy. Restaurant was clean. Great experience.
Based on price point, location, etc., this place is awesome! My steaks have been delicious. Service has been excellent. It is a required visit for my family when we come to Lubbock. You can't beat the value. My only suggestion would be to dim the lights a bit more and offer more small table lighting in place of the big lights.
My server Tera was so amazing! She is the best server ever! Will definitely go back for the food but for her!!!
If you are lucky enough to have Nate as your server, your experience at Longhorn will be top-notch. Before coming to this restaurant I considered vegetarianism. I rarely ate meat because I hated the taste. But last night my partner ordered the most expensive steak on the menu and it blew both of us away. We didnt expect such quality from a chain steak house. I also ordered a burger with fries and a side salad. Excellent. For someone who hates the taste of meat, I ate half my burger. It was amazing. For the appetizer we tried the queso and that was too salty.
I must say Amber has phenomenal service and the food and atmosphere was amazing 10/10 would definitely recommend the chop steak is to die for!!!
This is probably one of my favorite restaurants to eat a steak. The steak is never undercooked or overcooked and they give you a good serving size for your money. Lindsey was our waitress this evening and she did a phenomenal job, she was very attentive and never let our glasses get lower than midway. The drinks were amazing and made just right, I had a Margarita and my husband had a Tito’s ice tea. Thank you Lindsey for making our evening dinner very enjoyable after a very long day.
I was at the dialysis clinic all day working, with orientation. I changed into just a plain t-shirt and shorts and walked in the place looking like an orphan. But, they were so nice to me and the food was superb!! 10/10 recommended and I will be back. Hopefully I'm more appropriately dressed next time. Ask for Savannah, she is fantastic!
I have had nothing but great experiences with the manager Joe. He’s been amazing. Definitely one of the best managers I’ve encountered. My steak was over cooked. He promptly had another one made. Over Christmas holiday he was the manager working and was very friendly and welcoming. Today we celebrated my daughter’s birthday here. Great manager. Great staff. Great food. Great experience.
I went to eat there Friday night and my server Tera was amazing she gave the best service for our 20 top. But I could hear there manager yelling and demeaning the service staff the entire night. You could hear her from the back from across the restaurant bullying the staff and screamig. This is not a good manger and needs to be reevaluated as a team member. The service was so amazing but the management needs a big fix.
Came in for a well deserved dinner with my wife, brother in law and his wife. It wasn’t too busy, and we were seated promptly and our server Dulen was spot on the whole time. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms and our entrees’ soon after. Our appetizer came pretty quick and was delicious! Our side salads took a bit longer but were great! Main courses took a little bit longer too, but were served hot and delicious. My steak was a bit on the salty side for my tastes, but was cooked spot on medium rare. Everyone else’s dishes were cooked perfect as well. Side dishes were great too. Other than a bit of a wait for the main dish, and a little salt heavy on our steaks, this was a great visit. We’ve been here a few times in the past and it’s always been a good experience.
First time eating here and my whole family loved it. We ordered 4 different entrees and an appetizer and everything was awesome. Our server was genuinely very nice and helpful.
We had a great meal today. Our server was wonderful and very kind. She was Sarah from Germany. Her attention to detail was impeccable. Her courtesy and preciseness went beyond the norm. Thank you for making our meal great.
We had an amazing server named Sarah from Germany; and she was absolutely exceptional above and beyond! Our meal as well was definitely top notch! Met up with my father. We're both over the road Drivers; and I hadn't seen him in almost 2 years and it was definitely a great experience for our reunion.
My husband and out went out for date nite. We were greeted at the door upon arrival with a smile. We were seated, and our server came to the table right away. She told us her name was Trinity. She checked on us almost the entire time we were there. EXCELLENT, customer service 👏🏾!!! The manager came by and checked on us. They really made me feel like royalty 😃. The food was AMAZING. I can't wait until our next visit. 😃
We came here for dinner around 5:30 on 7/17. We were warmly welcomed and immediately seated. Within moments, our server took our drink order and gave us yummy fresh bread that was absolutely scrumptious with the butter provided. We chose the white cheddar stuffed mushrooms and the Texas brisket queso for our appetizers. And both of them were phenomenal. Then for our entrees, I got the ribeye with a loaded baked potato, and my wife got the Parmesan crusted chicken with broccoli. The side salad was extremely fresh with nothing but “good” pieces of lettuce, and the balsamic vinaigrette really popped! My steak was expertly seasoned and cooked to order, and my potato was delightful. The chicken was extremely tender and juicy and full of flavor. My wife said it was some of the best chicken she has had in a restaurant! Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and we had a very good time!
Longhorn NEVER disappoints. I have been a gradual convert for awhile now. I love going to Steakhouses and have been to dozens of high end places. None of them touch Longhorn for value if it's all about the steak. Longhorn has a homey, family oriented atmosphere (not necessarily for the anniversary romantic dinner). Really solid steaks for about 1/3 for price of top end steak houses. Service has always been top notch and attentive. In today's world of dining out.....very, very hard to beat Longhorn.

Longhorn Steakhouse has always been dependable for a good steak at a reasonable price. The service was very good and a minimal wait for a table.

This has become my favorite steak place. The steaks are always seasoned and cooked to perfection. They also make excellent salmon and chicken dishes as well as hamburgers. Everything on the men…
The wait to be seated about 11:15 on Wednesday was short. Our waitress was very prompt and masked. My steak was out in no time, and cooked perfectly. A lot more people were filtering in as it approached noon, as expected. I was impressed we ate steaks for lunch during a normal lunch hour. I would do this again. The only thing I would improve was all the maskless public walking by our table to get to theirs, but what can they do?
We had to wait 1 hour for a table of ten but I can understand, but we sat down and I over heard 2 waitress taking about our table and one did not want to do it and wanted the other to do it. We ordered our steak medium and with a Jelepeno. It came back cooked well well done and no jalepeno. It was just a little frustrating when we waited so long for a good steak and then had to wait again.
i guess the rules are lax during the day as they had music blaring from kitchen .The service was very slow .I ordered a medium steak a good vet could hv revived it had to send it back when it came …

Had dinner here over the weekend. Food was just ok. Cooks switched our order temps on our plates AGAIN: my wife got my medium rare cook on her 6oz, and I got her medium on my 8oz sirloin. For time sake we just switched. I was given no loaded baked potato, but instead loaded mashed potatoes, and watched others receive baked potatoes in the restaurant. The broccoli was severely over salted. Our waitress no showed for refills. But hey, the bread was warm.....
Ordered a our favorite filet, was served a small tough low grade sirloin. I told our server and nothing was done. We get our check and was told oh no we served the wrong order and was not offered the filet but charged for the sirloin I didn't eat.
My Server / Bartender Austin was great. Honestly the only saving grace to what was otherwise a poor experience. They seem to struggle with cooking a steak to medium rare which is crazy considering its a steakhouse. First they over cooked both then when they came back they were almost blue rare. Crazy. Steak was more than bland and if you arent using any type of seasoning you need a much better quality steak then what they are serving. Mushrooms were horrible and tasted like dirt. Bread was dry.. Overall food was just very upsetting to say the least. But shout out to Austin. If I ever come back it will be for a drink with him at the bar.
Our waitress was not friendly at all she seem miserable too be there and not check on us one time unless to bring the check!
This place has gone downhill. Took my mother and step father for thier Anniversary and it was a horrible dinner. It use to be my favorite place to get a chicken fried steak. The chicken fry was tough, half the size, and they were out of gravy. It's not a chicken fried steak without the gravy!?
Went in for a date night with my wife. Was told there was a 45 minute to an hour wait. There were multiple patrons already waiting. During the time we were told this, I counted a minimum of 7 empty tables where people could have been seated.
The Wild West Shrimp was a flavorful delight, offering a nice balance of spices and taste. However, the Spicy Chicken Bites, Parmesan Crusted Chicken, and Molten Lava Cake didn't quite meet the same standard as the shrimp. They lacked the same appeal and fell short in terms of taste and satisfaction.
When me and my wife arrived we were greeted nicely and sat quickly. We noticed the restaurant itself has an amazing ambiance and style I personally enjoy. it looks much bigger on the outside but makes up for it with interior design. Had a small bar and lots of booths which I prefer ,but after that the service was a little slow and the salad I received wasn't great. The bread was mediocre as well the waitress was very nice and attentive ,finally when my steak came it looked good and was cooked just like I wanted had nice flavor and was tender as well. My wife had the filet which was also cooked nicely and well seasoned however that wasn't enough to make it a Great meal. My final opinion is it is overpriced and doesn't have much that stands out every thing I tasted I knew I could have better somewhere else the service was the best part.
Food was okay. Ordered a specifically flavored food, did not hold that flavor as it was a liquid base marinade poured over product, not actual seasoning cooked into the food. Food took 35 minutes from order to received at table. Server was attentive and friendly. For a lunch venue during lunch window (before 1200) experience still took over an hour causing our group to be late for returning to work. Overall, for a dinner this would be a good place, not so sure about those on time tables.
We ate here on New Year's Eve, and the food was just not as good as I remember from the last time we ate here. First, they were OUT of baked potatoes - what steakhouse does not order enough supplies for New Year's Eve?? The salads were dripping wet with water, so the dressing was diluted and the Ranch dressing tasted like watery Mayonnaise. The grilled shrimp was overcooked. Yhey offered mashed potatoes in exchange for the baked potatoes, but the mashed potatoes tasted like those dehydrated potato flakes. Not good at all, and my serving of mashed potatoes was cold. Steak were just ok,not outstanding like they have been in the past. Disappointing. However, the bread they bring as part of the appetizer was excellent! Overall, not a great experience, we may end up @ Outback for our next steak.
Have eaten here before. The server was pleasant and we had no issues, yet service was quite slow despite having a half empty restaurant. Tonight, the steak ordered was unusually tough. Other experiences here were far better. Perhaps an off night, yet to keep customers coming into a business, you can't afford to charge full price and deliver less than 100%.
CARRY OUT- Food was ready when expected. We usually dine in. Our dine in experience is always very good. We ordered Parmesan chicken which was overcooked- the mashed potatoes were instant and just ok (probably because they didn’t have any baked potatoes sweet potatoes available). The hardest thing to believe is that the fresh loaf of bread was partially eaten and seemed to be a day old. I would love to talk to a manager about this. I posted pictures.
We arrived and were sat within about 5 minutes. Waitress didn't acknowledge our presence till about 10 mins later, which was honestly ok a little unsettling, but I hoped for the best so I could fully enjoy my dinner. We ordered waters and the food as well since we all had time to look over the menu. We didn't see anyone for about 15 minutes, not exaggerating. I wish I was. We finally recieved bread with 2 plates that had a black watery substance on them so i politely asked for more plates she said no problem brought back with 4 plates and said hopefully these would work, there was food still on these plates and they were full of water to were i had to dump em off the side to not spill it on the table. At the same time she then realizes we never had the water we asked for she leaves comes back with a plate of food for the surrounding tables twice and made sure to get all the condiments and everything they asked for. We received water and food about the same time, and it was a cook or some kitchen staff that didn't want it to get cold that brought it out to us. We were very satisfied with our food, which is the reason I didn't bring it up with management, but the food saved it the hassle that day. We had the 22oz porterhouse, which I need meat heads to confirm. That's what I received, but... it was all super flavorful. The kids' steak was perfect, and the Mac was mac 😆 but I hope for better service in the future, keep the food the same, though!
To start, the first time I came here it was fantastic. I was baffled at the price you pay vs the great quality you receive. Yet, tonight I was very disappointed. I ordered the 12 oz ribeye with a s…
We really enjoy the food. This is the third time I have ordered carry out for lunch. It is never ready on time. Today, I am sitting here for 20 min past pick up time still waiting on chicken strip salads. Do not recommend for carry out.
Worst Longhorn I've ever been to, and I usually love this place. Our waitress was running the bar and doing carryout orders, so we never saw her. After about 30 minutes, the manager came and apologized, but couldn't even look at us. Some guy refilled our teas with warm tea that melted the little ice left in the glass. My steak was the only one of three that came out correct. Not sure that we will be back.
Longest waiting to get my food EVER. Thank goodness we ordered an appetizer but that over 30 minute wait for food and getting it cold was a huge downer. Great chippy waitress but service time was horrendously long.
Had a loaded bake potatoe, that was a regular BP. Two teas, BP, and wife had the Strawberry Salad and said it was great. Arrived 5:50pm got seated at 6:35pm, two hours later we where out the door. Big city life! :)
I went to longhorn steakhouse for my birthday dinner as I love the food and service they provide here. Unfortunately, this time I did not receive the same service as I usually do. A server spilled a drink on my table and did not clean it until we had to let a manager know after letting 3 employees know about the issue. The server seemed to be all over the place and not providing the service a long horn customer should receive. Regardless the food was great but service was unacceptable.
The food was ok, was disappointed me the most was the service. I'm not to have any issues but the server was terrible but I can't complete b upset. They took care of the situation best way possible by deducting a large amount of my total bill. The wine was not great either, the need better sweet red wine. The floor was very dirty as well.
I feel this experience deserves to be shared. My visit to this location was very disappointing, mainly due to the lack of professionalism and care from the management. When we arrived, the restaurant was only about 20% full, and part of that 20% was a large group of about 16–18 people. Despite the light crowd, we waited almost an hour from the time we walked in — 30 minutes of that just waiting for our food that never arrived. After waiting so long, we finally decided to ask for our food to go, and suddenly our meals were “ready.” Our waitress, who was kind but clearly uncomfortable, lightly awkward - went to get the manager, Joe. When Joe came over, all he said was, “Hey guys, sorry for the wait, we apologize,” and then walked off. No offer to make things right, no genuine concern, and not even a question asking if there was anything else he could do. It honestly felt like he was just showing face instead of truly caring about the customers’ experience. A manager should lead by example and show professionalism and empathy, especially when things go wrong. Unfortunately, that was completely missing here. This will be my last time visiting this location. I hope this review serves as a reminder that customers deserve respect and genuine service — not empty apologies.
So Valentines day came around and my partner and I decided to come to longhorn to celebrate each others love for one another. Arriving there was perfectly fine, the wait to be seated wasn’t long, but we did not get off on a great foot with our hostess at the time Hope. As we had came for our ready table another older couple was leaving the establishment and I hd decided to hold the door open for them, in me doing so Hope our hostess had made a snappy remark at my partner insisting that we follow her to our table despite the elderly couple ahead of us. We attempted to move past the discrepancy and continue on with our night. Later within our visit we had asked our server who was absolutely amazing Kirk for some extra plates so we could distribute our house made bread amongst each other, our previous hostess from before Hope had brought the spare plates but had dropped them on the table without batting an eye. Normally this wouldn't be an issue but on how it was delivered raised suspicion and left us uncomfortable and not welcome. But honestly, outside of this our main server had taken amazing care of us, checking on us when needed and going above and beyond in the service department that it made up for the small areas of our visit. I do really enjoy longhorn steak house as a while I will say.

They can't cook a steak right. Leaves blood all over the plate and on the other foods. Female manager wasn't helpful either. Seems like she didn't care and didn't want to be bothered... horrible
the wait time between ordering & when you get your order is ridiculously too damn long. I don't really care much for this place

We used to love going food was great but things have gone down hill quickly. I am not sure if they are understaffed or what's the deal the wait is always more than 30 minutes but we see so many tables unoccupied? Very odd? When we do finally get seated (most the time we leave) steaks always end up cold or the sides are cold? Cheddars is our go to now lol
Sat at the bar. My server was Andrew. God awful. If he hates his job as much as he acts he should work elsewhere. Genuinely the worst service I’ve ever had at longhorn and will not be back to this location at all. Savannah stepped up and helped but not much. If you’re going to go here you’re better off waiting the 30+ minutes for an actual table because the servers at the bar blow.
This place is terrible. The service is terrible. Waiters are rude, cooks, are slow and it’s a Wednesday night with 4 other tables. The response we got on our food was “you’re next on the window”. If it was busy I’d understand. They’re slow, people are folding silverware
Went tonight the service was amazing but the manager Jessica is the worst…could hear her yelling from a mile away from the kitchen disrespectful to her staff sad to see them work so hard and be mistreated.
Our family of 5 arrived at longhorn steak house around 8:30-8:40 pm. Shortly after a family of 2 arrived. The manager (blue shirt) and an employee were chatting near the door and never once did they stop their side bar conversation to welcome us to longhorn. After about 2 minutes my husband asked if someone could seat us…this is when the Manager radioed for someone to come up to the front. Brandy who was our server quickly came to get our drink orders and shortly there-after our food order. When our food came out the fries were cold and 3 of our 4 steaks that were suppose to be medium well were medium rare so we had to send it back. The place wasn’t busy so you would expect the manager to come and apologize about the food but nope he did not. The only person that communicated, continuously, checked to make sure we were okay and didn’t need anything and who also apologized for the rough night we had a longhorns was Brandy. Brandy gets a 10/10 for superb service but management gets a 0/10. We did get a discount on food but that doesn’t make up for the poor customer service displayed by management Update: sent an email like they suggested over a month ago with a follow up email and still no reply from any LongHorn Rep.
It’s unfortunate that I won’t be visiting this location any longer. Normally I’m very pleased, but this last carry out visit was the absolute worst. One of our items was incorrect —they did advise us as we pulled up —meanwhile the other entree was sitting there getting cold. I ordered the chicken fried chicken and it seemed like it was overcooked and on top of that the seasoning was not well distributed therefore inedible. We usually look forward to the nice fresh bread loaf, but this one was hard and definitely old. We usually also get 1 per entree, but this time we only received 1. Then only one serving of gravy was provided when clearly there were 2 meals. The best part of this meal was the appetizer, but it was also cold. For the price we paid here I would have gladly gone to a fast food location at least twice over and eaten better food .
We waited over an hour for our food. The steaks were extremely salty! My steak was not even warm! Our waiter was awesome it wasn’t his fault for food quality. I was hoping a manager was walking around, checking on everybody, but I don’t even know if they had one or I would’ve complained to him about it.
I ordered the 9 ounce filet, there was a lot of grease on my plate after I cut it up. The next day it caused GI problems.
Went to Longhorn Steak House today after work because I've had great experiences in the past. It was 9:05pm and you close at 10pm. I walk in and notice nobody at the greeting station. Waited about 10 minutes, I see employees walking around but nobody acknowledges us, finally an employee walked up and we asked are you guys still serving, the employee said yes. Had a seat and waited another 15 minutes. Nobody ever came over to take our order or anything so we left, went to Texas Roadhouse and they served us there even getting there 25 minutes before closing! I will consider coming back.
The steaks and chicken breast were over seasoned with salt that is all you could taste is salt. When ordering your steak medium well, it came out well done and overcooked and very dry. Paid too much for the foods outcome. Im pretty sure we won’t go back.
For nearly 100.00 tab you would think our food would be hot nope cold. We asked when our food would be ready we had been sitting there for an hour waitress said she didn't know when. We won't be going back
Went to eat. There was 2 people in front of us and the hostess never said a word to them or us. She was looking at the seating chart talking with another worker. Both of them walked off. Still no word to any of us. Another hostess walked up and told the couple in front of us it would be a 15 to 20 minute wait. The lady asked why. Was told they only have 2 servers. This was at 330pm. We left. We went to another restaurant right down the street. Was sat as soon as we walked in.
Went tonight and Brooke my server was amazing she treated us so well but we sat by the kitchen and could hear her manager yelling at the entire staff I over heard that her name was Jessica from another staff member she was nothing but disrespectful to the staff and yelling at them all night…was sitting next to kitchen and she was mean to almost every staff memebrr I heard her talk to. She needs to be evaluated as a manager and staff member. Fire this manger keep your amazing serving staff
Waited forever, though there was room, meant no staff. Food came out cold, again wasn't busy. Waitress was nice just didn't check on us much, so didn't exactly get a timely refill and missing food from the order. It sucked.
Did a to go order. Food came out late and the excuse was “sorry I just got here”. Is there just one guy running out orders and nobody in the entire establishment can fulfill orders until he shows up? Got home, food was cold and bland. Baked potato was better than the steak.
Do not order the steak salad. Big disappointment! I know the pictures are one thing BUT!!! the food received is another. So sad! I am going to order again just to show what I received!
We used to go here to splurge somewhere fancy. Saturday, we called ahead because I know wait times can be long, got told there would be a 15-20 minute wait which seemed optimistic, but I was up for it. Listened to the manager yell at a server and send them home, waited over an hour to get seated, watched larger groups come in without having called ahead and get seated ahead of us, and eventually went back to the hostess to figure out what was going on, and eventually got seated over an hour after arriving. Ordered drinks and an appetizer, get the drinks 15 minutes later and only then get told the kitchen is out of the appetizer. Order the food, wait another 45 minutes to get served bone cold and over salted food. Inedible. We have never had this out of Longhorn. Was offered to remake it, but didn't have another 2 hours spare to wait on it. Was offered to speak with the manager Jessica but didn't feel like watching her yell at staff and send them home would make any part of it right for us. From what we overheard, she is recent to that position which would explain the sudden decline of quality. Friendly, apologetic staff who were clearly and desperately trying to make a poorly managed setup work, despite kinda being crapped on for it by a horrible leader. Jessica, I would give you 0 stars if I could. Be better to your people, (and your customers) or find a new line of work. It always flows downhill.
Got there at 6 pm. Waited almost an hour for our seats. Got bread and drinks. They took the order. Waited for another hour still haven’t got the food! Waitress came up to us and said we are the 2nd order to get cooked and didn’t know how long to get cooked maybe another hour she said so we got up and walked out!
Our server Kirk was amazing and made up for our experience as when we arrived, we were greeted by two hosts and the host who seated us specifically, her name was Hope, had such an ugly demeanor to say the least. As we were holding the door for an older couple before being sat, she made snarky remarks while rushing us to our table and visibly showing frustration as if it were so difficult for her to wait just a few seconds while we let the couple out though she saw us holding the door for the older couple. I let her know that we were just waiting on the couple to exit and she continued to rush us to the point where we were going back and forth which was so extremely unprofessional and inappropriate. Once we were finished at the door, we continued to follow her to our table and she said nothing to us, not “your server will be with you shortly” , nothing but rather slammed our menus on the table and walked away. We disregarded it because we have both been servers and hosts before and we all have our days. After our orders were taken, we asked our server for some extra plates to share our appetizers. Hope was the one who delivered them and slammed both plates on the tables so hard that they’d separated, said nothing, and again, just walked away. We would’ve taken her actions differently had the restaurant been busy, if it was evident the workers had been weeded, if we noticed the hosts were busy doing cut work etc. but none of that was applicable. It was evident that Hope was just ill intended as she was doing none of the above. In fact she was on her phone for a good portion of the time we were eating. This is not to say that all workers do not need a break, but we couldn’t help but to notice the other servers and the other host making the most of their time pre bussing, sweeping, checking on guests and with how passive aggressive Hope was you’d think she was in a rush and had so much to do. We were so thankful for Kirk as he turned our entire experience around. I hope management is able to reassess what is expected of their employees, Hope to be specific, to prevent future guests for having the same experience we did. The “wrong guests” would not have reacted as collectively as we did to say the least.
Traveling on the road up from San Antonio up north and decided to stop at this location in Lubbock. We've been to Longhorn steakhouse in San Antonio at two different locations and decided to stop here to eat thinking it was gonna be an obvious "we know this place is good" and absolutely was not. Broccoli tasted like those trays you get at HEB for ranch dip, asked for medium rare and got rare rare. Waiter was eh. Kind but kinda MIA. Definitely looked as he was working though so I'm not gonna judge too harsh but it was pretty dead since it's lunch. Shrimp tasted very plain and overdone. Would go to a longhorn steakhouse in San Antonio but next time will definitely skip on this location in Lubbock
We typically try to not come to Longhorn usually. Not because of the food or the waiters, its the due to the extensive amount of time it takes to get your food. The kitchen always seems to be extremely slow. No complaints about the food, its great! If you decide to try it , you’ll be waiting between 1-2 hours
We came in from out of town. Our family that lives there in Lubbock wanted to take us out to eat to a nice restaurant. We waited over an hour and a half to be seated and another 30 mins to even get bread and butter. The appetizer another 30 mins and the food about another 30 mins to even order it. By the time we received our food it was cold and disgusting!! Period!! My husband is not a picky eater and he could not finish his steak. It was gross!! both food and service were extremely disappointing. Everything about the experience was awful. I felt so bad for our family members, because they just wanted to take us out to eat. With that being said we will never go and eat here again. Oh and we have a big family and everyone of them will know not to eat here either.
Was are 37th anniversary and we never been to a long horn steak house so we thought we would try it. A friend told us it was a good place. We'll walking in the place looks like a nice steak house. We got seated in the bar area so had the bartender taking are order. To start service was good got are drinks fast and bread and butter. We want to try the surf and turf so order it to share as we don't eat alot each. We ordered the steak medium. When we got are meal which took awhile and didn't see the server in that hole wait was poor. Anyway we got are dinner and I cut into the steak to split it between me and my wife it was blood rare! So we sent it back. I asked for a manager and she said she was sorry . I told her it was are very first time eating at a long horn and she said well I'm not going yo charge you for the meal. I said please just make sure it right this time. Also we want a fresh plate. She so I was doing this anyway. I said thank you. Well we got the second meal from this manager and she asked me to cut into the steak so I did and blood came rushing out and it also was super rare. She wanted to take it back again we said no thank you. Then the lobster I went to try it and it was not cooked all the way though. The meat on the shell was raw. At this point we were about done. We are what we could of the baked potatoes and they were way over cooked. So all and all it was a awful 37th anniversary for dinner out. We will not ever try a long horn again. Nice place from the outside but the cooks are lacking in a big way. I would say try Texas Roadhouse over long horn .. we normally go to Texas roadhouse but thought we would try something different bad choice on are part. My dog enjoyed the steak dinner lol. PS first table my wifes seat had a big chunk of steak from someone else in between the seat and wall. So we moved it was 😝 gross.
The quality of service has dramatically gone down. On several occasions we've waited for quite a long time with SEVERAL tables open. They say those tables dont have any service..some are right next to the ones that are being served..just stupid processes. The staff is VERY inattentive having to wait an additional long time to even be acknowledged. And when we eventually get served we've been rushed to pay and leave..I dont know why we keep coming..this will be the last time.
A lady named Christy or Christian or whatever answered the phone , we were trying to get a reservation for my mother‘s birthday because she loves this restaurant and she gave my sister attitude and she proceeded to tell him it would be a 2 1/2 hour wait when the parking lot wasn’t busy. The restaurant wasn’t busy. She was very, very rude.
This was truly a terrible experience I came to hang out with my mother and the sign said no bread already a red flag but after our 30 minute wait at 6pm my mom almost passed out from all the peoples hot breath also a random lady walked passed me and just said OH. We waited about an hour and thirty for 2 plates of food they were out of freid stake patatoes freis and of course the bread they are out of clean glasses now.
Had a curbside order. Received the text to come to the restaurant. Never got any service after checking in. I waited for over 10 minutes with nothing. Went in and was rudely told I had to go through the bar. Talked to the bartender and was told I had to wait on someone else. Finally got my food and left. Got home and my order was missing sides. Called and nothing was really done about it. I know how sorry they are but I am the one out the money. Don't go here!!!
The service was good, our waitress was trying her best & was pleasant on a busy day. However, the food was AWFUL. I ordered the $27 ribeye and it was the WORST ribeye Ive ever had. It was very salty, chewy & super thin. I ordered ONE DRINK- a maker's mark & coke. It was sooooooo bad that even when poured into another glass of soda, the drink was atrocious 🤢 My hubby's experience was even worse as his food made him sick! He had the shrimp & salmon which was salty, overcooked & greasy. We both got sick from our dining experience. NO BUENO. Look up a non-chain steakhouse instead. Ewwwww #neveragain
I am beyond words for when it comes to the managing staff. I came in tonight with my family, my server was so attentive and so kind. I really appreciated their service and how apologetic they were for their way things came out. My food came out completely wrong, I don’t understand how that happens but okay. What really got me upset was sitting at my table with my children and hearing their “manager” scream at them for throwing dishes. I had to distract my children so they didn’t pay attention to the yelling coming from the kitchen. The staff was delightful, the manager; do better. This is not how west Texas does it, please gather yourself rather than screaming at your staff.
If i could give zero stars for the managing staff i would. My server was outstanding, but hearing her manager yell at the serving staff from mz table was so beyond unprofessional i cannot even begin to fathom it. Tera and Tanner did amazing and were so apologetic about the food not coming out the way wr ordered it. I genuinley appreciate the enthusiasm that they brought to the table. As far as the managing staff, it was nonexistent. Hearing an "ally ralley" whatever that is, from my table ruined my dining experience. Please next time you decide to degrade your staff do it quieter.
I want to preface what I am about to say with: this really did used to be one of my favorite places to eat. I had never had a more disappointing time at a restaurant than I did here this past Saturday. My kids had been begging to go out to eat all week, my husband’s birthday is coming up, and I recently had a reason to celebrate- so we decided to go to Longhorn to grab dinner. Even after my husband worked a 12 hour shift, because we called ahead, put our name down and was told the wait would be about 20 minutes. When we got there, we let the hostess know, and she said great, it’ll still be about 15-20 minutes. Those 15-20 minutes came and went…so we waited…watched several other parties get sat, including a large party…and we waited some more. After an HOUR! we were finally sat at our table (even that only happened after my husband had to go ask the hostess why we had been waiting). We put in our food order and waited to finally eat, all the while my husband and I are trying to keep our kids in an upbeat attitude. We also got the chance to notice A LOT of what was going on around us in the restaurant, because we waited for another HOUR to even get our food. By the time the food got to our table literally only one persons food was hot and it was so salty! Mine was so cold I sent it back. Like I said before- during the literal two hours we just sat around waiting, I noticed a lot. Employees were stressed, confused, and were extremely apologetic. There was no organization, no leadership, no one there to help try and rally! I have spent many years in the service industry- including the restaurant business so if you know, you know. After overhearing some of the staffs frustrations and listening “to the room” it seems like the manager named Jessica has no business being a manager- and I full heartedly agree. As stated above- my experience at this restaurant was less than ideal, to say the least, and we were never once approached by Jessica concerning our visit. I could go on and on- but I’ll end this with: You have some phenomenal floor staff who DESERVE better than a manager who thinks team building is shrill screaming and getting “on to” an employee right behind guests who are within earshot. I honestly don’t know if I will be coming back, and if I do, I hope that this restaurant has better staffing choices.
