What an amazing restaurant in Lucerne Valley. We were able to enjoy breakfast there two mornings in a row while visiting friends and found it to be absolutely amazing. We would highly recommend eating there to anyone fortunate enough to be spending time in Lucerne Valley. Although we had breakfast, we were informed by our hosts that the lunches and dinners are just as good.
I have driven by this place numerous times and always see a lot of people there and today I found out why. Great food, friendly and courteous staff.
This is the best place to eat in Lucerne Valley. Been going here for years. It is our go-to for burritos every time we come to town. The chile verde is excellent, as is the breakfast machaca burrito. Dine in or take out are both good... The staff is friendly and the food is not expensive.
I don't get out here very often but when I do I love to eat here. The food is amazingly good and my favorite is the breakfasts. I don't usually eat breakfast but I do when I come here. They have a breakfast on the menu I love because it's a small portion with a delicious pancake, egg and bacon or sausage. The other breakfasts are much larger and the other meals are abundant as well. The server's are so nice and it's just an overall great experience. Very reasonably priced
Amazing food and service. Called ahead of time and was ready when we got there great price as well 10/10 must try again.
I ordered Chili Verde with pinto beans, rice and homemade corn tortillas which I absolutely love! My food was delicious, hot and just as I ordered. Was there twice and each time food was yummy, however the server was nicer on my first visit and she was tipped well. The second time I was there, the server wasn't all that great and I left her a smaller tip. Wish I could go back there but not returning to the area for awhile.
I re a)my enjoy the tortes and burrittos. They a=e always smiles and very polite. The pricing is low for the meal you get. The enormous size of their burritos is a surprise if you never eaten there before. I have never been able to eat a whole one yet. And I love to eat.
We have been coming to Coyote since the day they opened. Absolutely love this place. Never had a bad meal. Always consistently great food, and surprisingly the best Burgers around. Great food, great service, great atmosphere, and very reasonable prices. We love El Coyote! 🍔 🌮 🌯 🍲
My lady ordered the Chile relleno playa and it was really good. I got the carne asada plate and was also really good.
Carne asada fries are so good! Price is cheap. Service is fast. Staff is very polite. A great place to eat and cool down during the summer heat.
My absolute favorite Mexican restaurant ever. If I didn't already live in Lucerne Valley I would move here to be close enough to eat here. They have amazing food at amazing prices and they are so friendly and welcoming. Thank you and please don't go. I don't know what I will do when you retire. My children request your beans and rice almost daily and I am enthralled with your enchiladas.
Great Food, I loved the tacos
I absolutely love this place and am so grateful they stayed open.. I am so psyched that this place is in Lucerne.. we ordered the chicken tacos carne asada burrito, shredded beef burrito and beans and rice.. everything was very tasty and made quick the lady who took my order could not be nicer either. Overall great place and great experience 😁
Pull over!!! Autentico!! I liked it a lot. Small spot, but people are genuine and nice. Treat you like your at their house. Chile Verde is delicious. Better prices than any drive thru!! Loved it.,🤤
This place is now my favorite Mexican Restaurant. Mind you I eat Mexican food at home so it’s usually not the food that I look forward to go out to eat. Menudo is the best in the HD and handmade tortillas are the best. Prices are the best too, ver affordable to eat here and so convenient off the 18 Hwy. Highly recommended!
Almost hate to tell people that this little place is so good. Best tortillas I've ever had. Great Chilli Verde. I stop here often and have never been disappointed.
Food was good but I ordered 2 sides of extra shrimp and when I got my bill I realized that I paid 24.00 dollars for sides of shrimp. That's not cool. Rant next time I think the person taking the order should inform people that you will be paying for 2 additional meals when getting sides. Damn. Not cool people. Not a happy customer..
Mothers Day chili rellano meal was the best, most authentic I have had in a long time. Reasonably priced and the service was outstanding on the busy day.
The entrance was a bit odd, but the restaurant has some nice SW decor. It was clean. Despite the limited staff, my order was taken quickly and the food came out at a hid pace. Furthermore, the food tasted fresh. Everything was very good. I will definitely recommend this place to others. It was a great experience for a first time visitor. I've driven past this place dozens of times; I'm glad I decided to stop in today.
It's a diner like back in day I never got t see the bottom of my coffee cup ☕️ And the biscuits and gravy are awesome I also ask for 2 eggs 🥚 sunny side up on top of the biscuits And smouther with gravy. They acted like it was a regular order
This place just has good food at a great price.
My new favorite diner. REALLY DEEP FLAVOR. Somebody in the kitchen has real pride. Rare for an old school diner. Service was attentive. Ambiance was classic diner, not plastic, not commercial, real Mexican/Americana. The $2 Churro is a must as is the a la carte Chile Relleno. The biscuits and gravy were deep with flavor, hard to get and rare for this Okie country boy. The locals clearly love it because by the time I left at 10:30 am on Sunday morning it was standing room only. This is a real side of the desert Highway movie set experience!!
Very good food and nice service! Prices are cool!
The food was delicious 😋 Our waitress was very friendly with great customer service Everyone enjoyed their food 😊
The food is amazing. It's made fresh when you order. The rice and beans are excellent, and the homemade corn tortillas are exceptional. Can't wait to go back and try something different.
El Coyote Loco in Lucerne Valley, CA is a must when we're back in town visiting. A family owned & operated restaurant. Started off about 10yrs ago in a small location on Hwy 18 Soon the word got out how good the food & prices were. Next they had to moved into a larger restaurant. Our waitress Marion always makes us feel like family, the food is authentic home style , the atmosphere warm with locals & traveler's, overall great food & good prices.
Everything I've had from here is sooo delicious. Really authentic mexican food. Muy muy bueno!
So good! Stopped randomly on my way into California and was pleasantly surprised! The Chile Verde burrito "wet" was amazing.

Great food! Corn tortillas were handmade and super fresh. Camarones a la diabla was delicious, but not very spicy despite asking for the spicy version. Restaurant has a lovely aesthetic. The staff was nice enough but the way they all huddled around the counter area was very off putting and made me uncomfortable while we were waiting for our takeout.
We stopped to eat here . The food was very good and the service was also great . I will be going back there next time I am in the area .

Have been here many times and have always had friendly service. Brought our grandchildren to have a good meal. Young waitress was very rude. I always tip very well but not this time. Ask her if she was related to the owner to feel she could be so rude.
The food was super tasty. I especially loved the mango lemonade. We drove from out of town to eat here. It’s a little intimidating as you walk inside with the heavy door that blends into the building. It definitely feels like a local place. It was packed and much busier than expected but the food was amazing. Highly recommend.
I ordered my food to go and the girl at the window was nice. I ordered the chicken nachos based on a photo another customer posted. They were delicious and looked just as good. My only complaint would be, they could have added my refried beans. Being my order was to go could be the reason they don't load it with beans so the chips didn't soggy. 🤷♀️ Either way I definitely will be going back.
Truly a solid menudo. They got the good honeycomb tripe. Large was $12. My daughter cleared her papa's con huevos with beans and rice plate. Don't come here thinking its a fancy place. But you want a for sure plate of food that gunna make you smile. This the spot. Willie the food guy on tic toc got the video
This was my first time here. The staff was friendly and the place was clean. The food was decent. I would go again and try other dishes.

Food was good. We had breakfast. Service was fine. Pictures on the walls are so faded so badly they look terrible. I would take them down. Table and booth seat were not clean.
Great food d much better than adilites You never know what you get there at loco, good
This is great. People are very nice that work there. The cook is on point. Please stop by every time we go through

Always loved this place, new owners,, don't know what is going on in Lucerne, 1st the Chinese food, then this place. Neither seem to be as good. Seems like the prices increased, could be wrong. Some of the same employees, just doesn't feel the same
Food was not bad. Clean family atmosphere. There is a variety of food selections. First time going to this place. I wanted to try it out. I ordered a wet Carne Asada Burrito along with an Ice Tea. It was ok. I will order something new next time, or maybe just the dry burrito because I did not like the flavor of the medium red sauce placed on the burrito too much. A little salty for my taste, otherwise a good experience.
A casual and quite place. Clean family atmosphere. Can’t really compare to anything else around because there isn’t and it seems like it been here forever. I think we eat here once a year as we travel thru the area over the past seven years. Nothing has changed.

The food It's pretty good. But a little bit pricey. Overall decent. I ordered the carnitas burrito. Again, it was decent. I like when mom and pop restaurants and businesses put their own personal flavor and spin on cuisine. And without that personal extra love the food is okay.
This establishment was really good. 1st had to pay for chips and salsa. Chips were cold. The salsa they gave was like canned salsa. The meals weren't cooked fresh. The reason I know this is because you hear nor smell no food being cooked. Usually, you'll hear meat sizzling or fajitas cooking. It was all pre-made. I have gone here for many years. The restaurant has changed ownership. It's not the same product. Horrible. I am writing this. But consumers just know it's not the same food as they were selling before.
Wasn't impressed at all. I got two carnitas tacos . It came out looking like Taco Bell's fake tortilla shells with very little meat. I asked the waitress if it was made fresh and she said, "I don't know"... I would never take my Mexican mom or grandma here they would be insulted.
Been a loyal customer for the almost 7 years I have lived out here. Has always been fantastic in the past. Since new ownership I've had nothing but problems. Food is great if they remember to give you the whole order, or even the right order. Service is bad when there is someone around to serve you. Sadly I won't be back again.

This restaurant was good until new management. The food taste different, there is a new waitress i think is related to the owner. She has a horrible attitude. When you call or go to the restaurant. All the girls that used to be there always smiled and all were so nice.
Food is good. However, the new owner is really taking advantage of the locals by charging them for everything! Extra onions is $2.00, and forget about asking them for additional salsa that's $4.00. Locals don't have many options in the area, and that's the only reason they keep coming to this place.
Was disappointed. Fries tasted like really old grease and hamburger bun was stale even the can coke Was old stale tasting. I was told by the owner I had to pay for it anyways because I ate it , which I did not!! My whole plate was there with full can of soda.vwry unprofessional. If I could leave a picture I would!!!
You can get better food and service at another other place than here, food cold, our server gave us rude attitude, honestly very crappy.
