After trying this restaurant, we didn't look for others for the few days we spent in Ceriale, as we had such a great time there for lunch! Both the fish and pizza were absolutely delicious, and the staff were very friendly. Service was quick and satisfying! If we're in the area again, I'd be happy to return.
We visited this restaurant recently and were truly impressed: the quality of the freshest ingredients shines through in every dish, prepared with great care. The staff and owners are very friendly, and the prices are fair and commensurate with the excellent selection. A place you absolutely must try and return to!
We had pizza in this place and it wasn't vers expensive for the location - pizza between 5 and 12 Euro. The waiter was sooo nice and I just felt very comfortable. The pizzas tasted great, looked good and it was made with great quality. I definitelly recommend, especially if you're a foreigner like me and want to experience a pleasant Italian lunch or dinner :) Thank you <3
Great fresh seafood and tasty dishes.was quite busy however the staff was kind and professional. Definitely will go back 😃🤩👌
A truly excellent address in Ceriale, renowned for its hospitality, lunch, and dinner, as well as its outstanding pizza. We glanced over at the other tables and saw how delicious the fish dishes looked. Not to mention the aroma! At La Taverna, you'll receive a warm welcome, and even in winter, you can dine on the terrace overlooking the sea. The historic center is right nearby, and parking is always available, including free spaces. Note regarding dessert: Homemade, and the crème fraîche was freshly prepared that morning.
Whenever I go to Ceriale for a bit of relaxation, I always stop by here, and I couldn't help but give a positive review, since I've been coming here for at least one meal for years: 1) The RESTAURANT is on the seafront, so the location is perfect! There are definitely some things that could be improved, but knowing the owner, I know he's working on renovating not only the outdoor terrace but also the interior (especially since everything inside is vaulted and has old brickwork); 2) As for the FOOD, nothing to complain about... it's all good! I love their first courses, and when they offer specials... listen to them because they always feature fresh ingredients and are cooked very well! 💪🏻 Here's the last time I ate here: a pot of seafood rice... I'll show you the before and after, as we "didn't like it" 😂; 3) The SERVICE is definitely friendly and dynamic, but I recommend coming for lunch, which is quieter and allows you to enjoy the sun. In the evening, when it's busier, it might be a bit late, but the food is worth it! 4) Price is in line with other restaurants along the seafront 👍🏻 In short... a place that, thanks to the hard work of Carlo and Filippo, has been cooking great food for years and is in a great location for a swim or a stroll around Ceriale's main square! Recommended 💯
We've already eaten here twice in a week of vacation. The location is very nice inside, with the option of dining on the waterfront or under the portico. The staff is very friendly and enthusiastic, the pizza dough is excellent, and the food is generally good (I peeked at the dishes served at the adjacent tables, and I must say they were very inviting), and the prices are very reasonable. If you go without a reservation, you'll have to wait a bit. This might be a negative for many, but it's actually quite the opposite. Since there's always a large crowd, it means the restaurant is very good. Highly recommended, see you next year!
A truly excellent pizza, fine dough, well-seasoned in just the right amount, very digestible. The place is very cute inside and out, beautifully decorated, with unique hanging lights and well-prepared tables that make the outside very welcoming as well. The guys serving you are very nice and courteous, super smiley and friendly. The prominent pizza chef knows his stuff when it comes to pizza, with a really friendly attitude too. The prices are average, even fair despite being on the seafront, and the service is good. It's always busy and very busy, well deserved. I've seen the dishes at other tables, and they make me want to come back for the fish too. It looks really excellent. They don't have a large menu, but the dishes they do have are well-prepared and plentiful. The pizzas are also very large. I will definitely be back. If you're in the area, play it safe and stop here. They'll treat you with kid gloves and you'll eat wonderfully.
Simple and tasteful dishes. I had the squid salad with potato... was just perfect. Good pizza! Good service! All the best to this family owned restaurant. 👍🏼👌🏼
We showed up when the place opened, and a friendly waiter seated us immediately. We ordered a pizza, a calzone, and sparkling water. Both dishes were very good, and you could taste the wood-fired oven. We were about to order dessert, but a lady came over and cleared our table completely, leaving us to eat the last slice of pizza in our hands. Too bad, we left.
Nice Place to be
Good for a pizza and a beer, friendly staff and very popular with locals for lunch.

The restaurant is on the seafront, and the atmosphere was chaotic due to the loud radio, which, in my opinion, is a disturbance in a restaurant, making conversation difficult. The service was a bit too informal. We ordered two (large) appetizers and a quarter of a glass of wine, which was good value.
Nice little place, but I have to give a shout out to the guy who served us. He was friendly and playful, but he didn't seem to be a local, given the average attitude of locals toward tourists, or perhaps he was the exception that proves the rule. So, the welcome was good, but the pizza, folks... Aside from the fact that if I fold the slice to eat it with my hands, it won't crumble in my hand, it's also not fair that, beyond the crust, there should be another centimeter and a half of pizza without any ingredients whatsoever. And finally, if the type of pizza calls for "buffalo mozzarella" on the menu, don't write it if buffalo mozzarella isn't available. Because if tonight's pizza was buffalo mozzarella, I'm a sheik. Update for next month: good mixed fried fish, good grilled tuna with burrata, good table overlooking the sea. The second jug of water was absolutely not good, as it was lukewarm. I confirm the pizza was mediocre and therefore not recommended; Even the house white wine was just adequate. Overall, I'm adding one star because the fish dishes deserve it.
Let me start by saying we booked a table at 9:00 PM. We arrived 5 minutes early, but the tables were all occupied and no one paid attention to us. They gave us a table at 9:25 PM. We ordered pizza, my son's fries were old, and the pizza was questionable. Then we ordered the fried food, which was rubbery and made in a hurry, considering we'd waited almost half an hour. Then the lobster linguine arrived. The pasta was cooked well, but it was basically tomato pasta with half a lobster that was a bit rubbery. Not to mention the service was better. I have to say the only good thing was the tuna with tomatoes, leaving out the burrata, which was nothing special. One last thing: look at the dessert menu, anything costs 7 euros, from sorbet to molle foglie, etc. High prices.
We booked for 5 at 9pm (recommended by the restaurant) in the outdoor area. At 8:55pm the table wasn't available, but it was available after 20 minutes. After 10 minutes the menus arrived and after another 10 (by calling a waiter) the orders. We ordered 3 lobster linguine, 2 brandacujun with fried panissa, a mixed fried fish, a tuna steak and 1 American pizza (for 1 boy). Then after 5 minutes (in the meantime the pizza had rightly arrived) a waiter advised us to have the brandacujun and mixed fried fish arrive before the linguine due to cooking times, we agreed. After 15 minutes the mixed fried fish arrived, which wasn't great, rubbery. After another 5 minutes the brandacujun which only tasted of lemon (already tried in other places and also made at home). The fried fish, on the other hand, was very soaked in oil, too much. After another 5 minutes, the tuna finally arrived, and after asking for it to be re-sautéed, it was good. It should be noted that we had asked for it to arrive together. Then came the lobster linguine. It was cooked well, but nothing more. The pasta wasn't flavored with lobster, even though half a crustacean was on the plate. Separately, it was good, but together, it was a good pasta with sauce.
Really bad personell. No more words needed
