Ristorante accogliente con arredi tipicamenti alpini e meravigliosa vista sul lago di Montespluga. Buonissimi piatti che mettono insieme tradizione e innovazione con originalitá. Personale professionale e sorridente. Ci si sente subito accolti. Ho pranzato/cenato qui piú volte e mi sono sempre trovata molto bene. Consigliatissimo.

Pizzoccheri di Gordona top, formaggi e antipasti top,polenta e lumache pure.... Non capisco quelli che scrivono che il cibo non è affatto buono...probabilmente è gente che fa 2 ore di tornanti per arrivare in un posto meraviglioso e poi si mangia una pizza...boh.🤷🏻‍♂️ Ah, se siete in attesa del tavolo, fatevi fare uno spritz, vi accommodate sulle sdraio e vi godete il panorama in totale relax. Ne vale la pena, l'attesa verrà ripagata dal buon cibo. personalmente lo consiglio a tutti quelli che cercano un locale per pranzare in compagnia e rilassarsi ai piedi dei monti. Da quello che ho capito fanno cibo anche da asporto. Prezzi giusti, in 4, antipasti, primi e contorni, 90€. 👍🏻😉

Uno dei migliori ristoranti in cui abbia mangiato. Stupendo l'ambiente in perfetto stile alpino che trasmette quel calore tipico delle località di montagna. Una meraviglia la vista sul lago di MonteSpluga. I piatti ordinati erano buonissimi e il servizio davvero ottimo, personale gentile e sempre attento. Non posso che consigliarlo a chi volesse gustare ottimi piatti in un'atmosfera davvero unica.

In mezzo alla natura dello Spluga, si può godere i buoni piatti compreso il pesce (atipico per la zona), io amo i tagliolini ai mirtilli. A volte c'è un po' di dispersione ma sono tutti simpatici e cordiali, propensi verso gli amici animali.

Unforgettable dining experience with a stunning view! We stopped at this restaurant on our way back to Germany, looking for a nice lunch spot before entering Switzerland — and this was the perfect place, located just 5 minutes before the Swiss border. The location is absolutely stunning, surrounded by majestic mountains and overlooking a peaceful little lake. It’s also very convenient — right on the main road with a large parking area. We were warmly welcomed by the staff and initially wanted to order Gnocchetti, but our waitress suggested we try the Blueberry Tagliolini instead — and her recommendation was spot on! It was unique and incredibly delicious. We also had the Salami Picante pizza, which was perfectly crisp and flavorful, and ended our meal with their homemade Tiramisu, which was rich, creamy, and simply one of the best we've ever had. If you’re traveling in this region, this place is an ideal lunch stop with both breathtaking views and fantastic food. Highly recommended!

Beautiful, cozy restaurant serving local cuisine. Must try their tiramisù, delicious! Excellent service, one of the few restaurants where all waitresses say hi to you when they see you. It was a busy night, yet their service was great. I also like the restaurant decorations, the clean toilettes (also very hard to find nowadays) and the menu. It offers a variety of incredible food and cool combinations. I highly recommend to book in advance.

This place is a hidden gem, and one of the things I always look forwarding to on this side of Italy/Switzerland. The food is amazing (and not too pricey), the views are some of the best you'll see in a restaurant. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. If you're in the area, highly recommend the worthy travel to La Capriata.

Abbiamo avuto il piacere di cenare al Ristorante La Capriata durante un sabato pomeriggio mentre eravamo in viaggio verso il Passo Spluga. Per garantirci un posto, abbiamo prenotato in anticipo. Questo ristorante gode di una posizione straordinaria, affacciato sul pittoresco lago e circondato da verdeggianti prati e maestose montagne. Una splendida terrazza esterna coperta ci ha permesso di gustare il pasto all'aperto, al riparo dal vento, mentre ammiravamo una vista mozzafiato sul lago. Abbiamo visitato il ristorante con i nostri cani, ma è importante notare che ai nostri amici a quattro zampe è consentito l'accesso solo alla terrazza. Pertanto, se prevedi di mangiare al chiuso e fa freddo all'esterno, tieni presente che non possono entrare nella parte interna del ristorante. Il menu è diversificato, offrendo una vasta selezione, dai panini alle pizze, dalla polenta preparata in molte varianti (con salsiccia, funghi, taragna...) a piatti più elaborati e raffinati, con conseguente variabilità nei costi totali in base all'ordine. Il parcheggio è estremamente comodo, con circa una ventina di posti disponibili, anche se va notato che il parcheggio è condiviso e non riservato al ristorante. Lo staff ci ha accolti con estrema cortesia e un sorriso caloroso. Abbiamo iniziato il nostro pasto con un antipasto di salumi misti, un piatto abbondante che potrebbe essere tranquillamente condiviso da due persone. Questo piatto si è rivelato delizioso e saporito, con l'uso di prodotti freschi e di alta qualità. L'unico aspetto migliorabile è stato il contorno di verdure in agrodolce, che abbiamo trovato un po' ridotto (un pezzetto di carota e un di peperone). Suggerirei di arricchire questa portata con una maggiore varietà di verdure. Successivamente, abbiamo provato una zuppa di legumi, che è risultata davvero deliziosa, mentre il piatto di polenta e salsiccia ha ottenuto un giudizio leggermente meno entusiastico da parte nostra. Tuttavia, saremmo certamente disposti a esplorare altri piatti dal menu in futuro. Il nostro conto finale, che includeva vino, acqua, caffè e un amaro, è ammontato a circa 30 euro a persona, una cifra che abbiamo trovato molto ragionevole. L'ambiente interno del ristorante è accogliente e piacevolmente arredato. Nel complesso, il Ristorante La Capriata è un luogo che consigliamo senza esitazione, sia per la straordinaria location che per l'esperienza culinaria. Dopo il pranzo, ti consigliamo di fare una passeggiata nei prati circostanti, accessibili tramite un passaggio accanto al ristorante, dove potrai godere della compagnia di mucche e cavalli liberi e ammirare la bellezza naturale che circonda questo luogo magico.

In 11 abbiamo selezionato dal menù ,antipasti , primi , secondi, pizze e dessert : presentazioni curate e tutto molto buono, staff veloce e cordiale. L'unica nota stonata sono i prezzi.... ma cque fuori dal locale, il menù è ben visibile e quindi nn ci sono "sorprese".

Ristorante con interni molto caratteristici e suggestivi. Cibo di montagna ma rivisitato in chiave moderna, porzioni piccole rispetto al costo. Personale molto cordiale e disponibile a modificare ingredienti per venire incontro a persone con intolleranze. Grazie

Un bel ristorante a 2000 metri di quota. Noi ci siamo fermati per caso, di ritorno dalla Svizzera, a mangiare il gelato ma c'è piaciuto l'ambiente e così ci siamo tornati a cena altre due volte. Pizze buone e piatti della cucina molto curati.

Even though I have mixed feelings, every year I always end up coming back, so it deserves a visit. Located not right on the main street, it has a quite big parking right in front of it. The location is superb with a terrasse on the lake side that is honestly worth the trip. Interior seats are nice too with a modern wooden touch, especially for dinner when outside gets cold. It's super crowded and super requested so in July - August reservation is more than recommended especially for having a drink outside with a great view on the lake and surrounding mountains. The pizzas are very good although you will only find basic/classic ones. I'm not advocating for fancy flavours, but I felt a couple of more complex ones would be a nice fit on a menu that otherwise tries some bizarre pairings. The normal menu is logically divided in 4 submenus (traditional, fancy, fish, etc) each composed by entree, pasta, main dish, dessert that you can order as a whole or pick single dishes (also cross submenu). Overall it has all the regional basic stuff (white pizzoccheri, polenta of several kinds, etc) plus some weirder stuff. The menu is a bit overwhelming and sounds incoherent with the pizza selection but overall food is good although you never feel the wow effect. I do not expect it to excel on everything but to have some "peaks", e.g. a great polenta or a great gnocchetti. So if you asked me "would I find there the best pizzoccheri or polenta of the neighborhood?" The answer would probably be: no. They are both fine, but not worth the trip on their own. Food presentation does not always match the expectation (again: expectation generated by the menu itself and the price). Desserts and beer selection are both very good, the latter being the best in the area by far. Service is usually kind, sometimes a bit slow even when not in busy hours, but overall on the positive side. Bottom line: La Capriata is probably more focused to please travelers stopping by for a quick lunch / aperitivo, taking advantage of the outdoor location and beer selection. For a full fledged lunch/dinner this place looks a bit like in it's teenage years: has potential, some confusion, still undecided about what it would like to be or can be once grown up. My review does not mean to be harsh or negative, as said I come back every year, I just wanted to express my mixed feelings. Definitely worth a stop.

The view is beautiful and the dishes were good but not great. The younger staff was very friendly but the older waitress was very rude and they either took too long to bring what we ordered or completely forgot our order. We ended up giving up on our last order and just paid and left.

Non ci hanno fatto scegliere il menù del giorno perché non avevamo prenotato. Non volevamo spendere troppo e ci hanno proposto solo due alternative: pizza o menù degustazione. Abbiamo optato per la pizza, ma una è arrivata sbagliata rispetto all’ordine. 3 pizze, 2 quartini di vino, mezzo litro d’acqua, 2 dolci e 3 amari: totale 93 euro per 3 persone! Imbarazzante… con questi prezzi oggi non ci si può più muovere! La badile usatela per zappare i campi: create piatti di qualità a un prezzo onesto.

I recently had the most disappointing experience at this restaurant, which was highly recommended by a friend as the best place to try Italian pizza and tiramisu. With high expectations, we traveled an hour by car, only to be met with rude service from the very start. Upon arrival, the waitress abruptly informed us that there were no free tables and that we could have one at 2 pm. Willing to wait, we spent an hour and a half hoping the food would be worth it. However, when we returned at 2 pm, we were told we needed a reservation and would have to wait another hour. This was utterly frustrating, and it felt like the staff never intended to serve us in the first place. While I can't comment on the quality of the food, the service was the worst I have ever experienced. If this is how they treat potential customers, I highly doubt I'll ever return to find out if the food lives up to the hype. Avoid this place if you value your time and enjoy being treated with respect.
