Blown away with our experience here. Firstly, Victor was genuinely so lovely to meet and helped us choose so many amazing cocktails. I love that they use all their own herbs and alcohol. We must have tried 3 different ones each. The food was absolutely exceptional. Get the tuna tostadas and the cheese/charcuterie. Can’t wait to come back
Atmosphere: 7.5/10 Japanese-themed downstairs, mellow but upbeat. Music volume is good. Seating includes bar spots and some tables for groups. Located in the basement level of Angelita Wine Bar & Restaurant. Design shows solid craftsmanship and refined attention to detail. Drinks: 9/10 Recommendation: Raspberry & Flowers (for summer), Peppers & Eggplant Menu is high quality, with flavor-profile diagrams for guidance. Large selection. Flavors are well balanced. Coasters are present. Glassware is above average, with unique touches like double-wall cooling glasses. Garnishes are creative, and overall presentation—including ice work—is strong. Service: 9.5/10 Water on arrival, plus complimentary snacks. Team is friendly, professional, and highly attentive. No reservations needed. Prices are average.
Angelita was such a pleasant surprise — delicious in the most impressively simple way. Every dish we had was fresh, honest, and full of flavor without trying too hard. We started with what might be the craziest tomato salad I’ve ever had — incredibly fresh, beautifully balanced, and prepared in the simplest way possible. Then came the ratatouille, which completely changed my mind about the dish. I was never a fan before, but Angelita’s version truly blew me away — full of depth and flavor. We finished off with the steak tartare, which was absolutely spot-on — perfectly seasoned and so satisfying. Among the three of us, we shared a bottle of white wine that paired beautifully with everything. People were also raving about their cocktails, which we didn’t get to try this time — but it gives me the perfect excuse to come back. Next time, I’ll definitely be sitting at the bar to explore their cocktail menu
This place was delicious in impressively simple ways. Don’t miss out on the wontons (I ate mine too quickly and forgot to take a pic). We also got their pisto, tuna tartar, and an off-menu strawberry dessert. Highly recommend getting whatever wine they recommend to you since their wine list is fabulous.
Such a wonderful experience! Great food, great cocktails and great service. I have to give them a shout out as it’s the first time I’ve truly had craft cocktails and I’ve been in Europe since 9/5, bouncing between countries. Now ,for the facts. There’s a stuffy restaurant upstairs and an awesome speakeasy downstairs where you can get great cocktails and food. Granted it’s a smaller menu than what’s offered upstairs, but was fine on my solo visit. They also have a private dining room called the Hibiki that can be booked for parties of 6-10 and offer the full menu, including a chef’s menu with wine or cocktail pairings. Wowed!!! Shout out to Victor and his crew for the 411 and a great experience.
Great wine and dining experience! We did the food and wine pairing and it was fantastic! The ambiance is beautiful and service was great! When our time ran out for the tasting they moved us to cocktail bar downstairs which was also super nice! We also got drinks there and they were a whole experience! 10/10 recommend! Make sure you make reservations!
Angelita – A Wine Lover’s Paradise in Madrid Angelita is first and foremost a fantastic wine bar, with an impressive selection that spans both international labels and, most notably, an extensive range of Spanish wines. Particularly exciting is their well-curated offering of natural wines, which adds a fresh and modern touch. The food complements the wine perfectly: modern, flavorful, and crafted with solid technique. The dishes are straightforward and honest, without unnecessary frills – letting the quality of the ingredients shine. With its excellent value for money, Angelita is a must-visit in Madrid for anyone who appreciates great wine and well-executed, contemporary cuisine.
Absolutely blown away! We came for dinner and it turned into one of those unforgettable nights you instantly know will stay with you. The cocktails? Next-level… creative, balanced, and crafted with real expertise. The food? Simply outstanding. From the zucchini flowers to the steak tartare and the tuna, every single dish was a hit… fresh, flavorful, and beautifully done. What really made the night, though, was the team. The bartender’s knowledge and passion for mixology shined through every drink, and the staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. That combination of incredible food, bewitching cocktails, and top-notch service doesn’t come around often. Angelita Madrid has officially skyrocketed to one of my favorite spots in the city, and trust me, that’s saying a lot. Absolute top tier.
These guys are doing some real exciting and interesting things with cocktails. Farm to glass concept, cocktails are refined, elegant, understated and most importantly they put the ingredients first. Staff were lovely, friendly and attentive. Simplicity in how the cocktails are served but there there is nothing simple about it. They have put tremendous thought, effort and care into their work and the quality of the ingredients. Would highly recommend if this is your vibe (I would recommend to all people I know). So, If you're wanting to drink out of tiki glasses, or your drink served with cotton candy/fairy floss or have theatrics with your cocktail, then this is not your place. Go find a tiki bar.
This is truly an elite dining experience. I’ve never had service like this. Besides the best tomatoes and grouper I’ve ever eaten, the cocktails were all a work of art. This is an establishment where you can taste the passion of the bartender and kitchen staff. Thank you to Mario and the whole team for making my trip to Madrid memorable. I don’t understand how this place does not have Michelin stars. This place is worth a detour whether you’re in or around Madrid.
Spectacular atmosphere, unique and delicious cocktails, and awesome servers. We accidentally found this bar when another had a line and we couldn't be happier. There was no wait and the drinks were reasonable priced considering just how unique and interesting they are. It was a super fun spot and as long as you're OK with some adventurous flavors this is a great place to go.
Angelita Madrid truly exceeded expectations. The food was outstanding, with a creative and thoughtful touch throughout the entire menu. The beef tartare was one of the best I’ve had – intensely flavorful and beautifully balanced. The cheese platter featured a rich variety of excellent, locally sourced selections, all served at perfect temperature. The ratatouille was prepared with top-quality ingredients and offered a deep, fresh vegetable flavor, far from the usual generic version. But the true standout was the oxtail – simply exceptional, deeply savory, and cooked to perfection. All of this was paired with a bold Cabernet Sauvignon – powerful, slightly high in alcohol, but well-integrated and never overpowering. Service was flawless: professional, friendly, fast, and with great attention to detail in presentation. In fact, the overall experience was on par with, if not better than, some Michelin-recommended spots I’ve visited.
Angelita is something special. We headed downstairs to the cocktail bar and were lucky enough to have Victor guide us—easily one of the most passionate and knowledgeable people I’ve met in hospitality. He walked us through the history, science, and regional origins of every ingredient we were tasting. I had a cocktail with chilies, cucumber, and strawberries—unreal flavor combo. No ice here, which I love—the glasses are designed to keep everything cold without watering it down. The focus isn’t on the alcohol, but the flavor experience. Everything is locally sourced, and you get full flavor profiles with each drink. We also had the cheese platter (with quince and walnuts), a fresh tomato salad with olive oil and salt, the bread basket, and ended with a rich, chocolatey dessert. The lounge music, the cozy seating, and the whole vibe made us want to stay all night. The lighting is low, so photos won’t do it justice—but the experience speaks for itself. Welcoming, thoughtful, and beautifully crafted.
One of the best meals I've ever had. Even if you don't usually care for cocktails, order one anyway. They are very creative and unusual. The service is also impeccable.

I visited the underground bar and tried a few cocktails. They were good and well balanced, though not the best I’ve had. The music selection was great, and the setting made it easy to talk and keep an intimate, relaxed atmosphere. What truly stood out was the staff, genuinely kind and attentive, which made the overall experience very enjoyable.
Lovely restaurant in central Madrid. Small menu but well cared for. I had the pork which was delicious. Service was very friendly and prompt.
