Fantástico restaurante vegano con una amplia carta de platos elaborados con los mejores ingredientes y presentados de una manera que no “son lo que parecen”. Buena atención y comodidad en el local. Recomendable 💯,todo muy rico.

Lo encontramos de casualidad en la zona y realmente fue un acierto sentarnos a comer, la terraza muy agradable, la persona que nos atendió encantador.. Tomamos ensaladilla y tajin de albóndigas, pedimos unas croquetas después ya que no queríamos irnos sin probarlas, íbamos a pedir postre pero ya estábamos tan llenos que no nos cabía nada más.... Volveremos por supuesto, nos quedamos con ganas de probar la carta entera 😋... Lo recomiendo 100% aunque no seas vegano... Nosotros no lo somos. 🤗

Muy buena impresión. Aunque haya mucho escéptico al respecto, este restaurante demuestra que se puede comer morcilla y butifarra sin necesidad de sacrificar animales. El sabor es igual sino incluso mejor. Los postres también son dignos de incluso estrella Michelin.

This is vegan food for adults. It was lovely. I had the “Carrilleras estofadas al vino tinto” with a glass of Rioja and it was an excellent meal. The only issue is that they only had ONE server for the whole restaurant and the guy was running around hectically. He was great, but he should’ve had more support given the size of the establishment.

Absolutely delicious vegan food! We had the vegan croquetas, mushroom ravioli, cachopo asturiano and more. So good. The waiter was super friendly as well. Definitely coming back to try some more!

Wide range of traditional Spanish food with other modern classics. I had a blood sausage with goats cheese to start, followed by a Fideuá and then Tiramisu for dessert. Everything tasted amazing! Service was also great! Highly recommend visiting

What is this plaaaaaaace??? Why did I live in this neighborhood for almost a year and didn’t know it existed? What do they put in those croquettes? Ok, too many questions! One statement though: GO TO HAKUNA MATATA! The service is the shining star because all the waiters are absolutely lovely. The food is incredible and the only thing I regret is not having a stomach bug enough for dessert. But I will be back!

Vegan food done right. Lots of vegan restaurants try and fail to replicate classic Spanish dishes but Hakuna Matata succeeds! The dishes were tasty, well presented and served with care. I visited with my girlfriend for our 3 year anniversary and in those 3 years we have eaten in a lot of vegan restaurants. This restaurant was up there in the top 5 for both of us. We shared the croquettes, fried fish, stew and a slice of cheesecake. All very enjoyable. If you are a committed vegan or someone who's just interested in trying a high quality vegan restaurant this is definitely a place you should be visiting.

Cosy restaurant with exciting and unique vegan options. Staff were really friendly and patient with our lack of Spanish. I had the “calamari” followed by tiramisu - it was really delicious and very affordable. Would definitely recommend!

Run don’t walk to this restaurant! Wow the food and service is outstanding! My husband and I were in Madrid for both business and vacation, he is a vegetarian and I was concerned about finding decent vegetarian options for him. Hakuna Matata was the perfect spot. It’s such a cozy walk down restaurant and the dining room was very nice. It was very busy even for a weeknight which was a great sign. We enjoy plenty of menu options. We especially loved their eggplant and hummus with a honey balsamic side. What a great restaurant! We will be back for sure.

Amazing vegan food! You get vegan versions of classic Mediterranean food such as Calamari, shrimps, Cheese Platter, Tiramisu, and we were really impressed with these! The food quality is really high and it feels special to eat here. Great value for money. We ordered two starters and one main course to share, and had to get some of it packed as it was so satisfying we couldn’t finish. The atmosphere is also very cozy and the service is super friendly.

Excellent vegan food. I only have positive words to describe all the dishes I've tried so far. I could highlight the 'ensaladilla' with vegan shrimps, the squids, the 'rabo de toro' and the rissoto. All delicious. Unfortunately I always order too much food and I've not tried any dessert yet. The service could be a bit more welcoming: it looks like they are not interested in engaging with the clients

Best vegan restaurant in Madrid. El mejor restaurante vegano en Madrid. Best vegan restaurant in Madrid ATM. Not just junk food but you can have a burger or a pizza if you want to. La atención fue muy buena muy amables con nosotros y nos explicaron todos los platos y nos dieron sus recomendaciones. Tomamos dos entrantes uno de aguacate y plátano que estaba bastante bueno y otro de "pescadito" frito que también estaba delicioso. El cachopo estaba bastante conseguido, el arroz estaba bueno pero el sabor era bastante normalito y la carrillada tenía un sabor bastante conseguido. Los postres estaban bastante buenos nos tomamos un brownie y una tarta de queso vegano.

La comida me sorprendió gratamente. Lo que más me gustó fueron los Chopitos de shitake con alioli, increíble la textura y el sabor que tenían, los hacen con shitake y son sin gluten. El risotto de boletus estaba desabrido, tuvimos que pedir sal y pimienta para alinearlo. El tartar de aguacate con quinoa y el tajin de albóndigas estaban muy buenos. Recomiendo probar el postre la "Deconstruccion de Kinde", exquisito. La atención fue buena, en el comienzo el camarero estaba muy serio, luego nos atendió muy bien. El restaurante tiene una terraza afuera, muy agradable para sentarse. Lo que si deberían de tener es más opciones SIN GLUTEN, aparte de los risottos, como pan para las hamburguesas y las salsas de las patatas bravas. No pude probar muchas cosas pq tenía gluten.

Todo muy rico, muy buenos platos, particularmente me hubiese gustado un poco más abundante.

No era la primera vez que iba a un vegetariano pero me llamó la atención que en la carta, buena parte de los platos principales, hacían alusión a productos no vegetarianos: calamares, chopitos, butifarra, etc. Y lo sorprendente es que tanto por apariencia como por textura y sabor, se asemejaban bastante. Creo que es un buen restaurante para vegetarianos y omnívoros (como es mi caso). Os lo recomiendo

Went for a dinner, this is one of just few fully vegan restaurants in Madrid, and the food was great. I had a salad which was full of flavours and was filling enough along with their very soft and amazing bread. Only thing was the “homemade lemonade” which was basically sirup with water and ice, it was very very sweet. The prices are decent and the interior is cute.

The restaurant had a really nice atmosphere but I have to admit I was so disappointed. Considering the reviews I read online I was expecting amazing vegan food, but it wasn’t. The croquetas were crispy but the middle was completely cold… yet the one dish that was not good at all was the “tiramisu”. I hope somehow they change this because that was the worst vegan dessert I’ve ever had… flavour was fine, but the hard crumbly “biscuit” and airy whipped cream made a dessert that shouldn’t be called tiramisu… the upside were the calamares and patatas bravas which were very good.

Ojalá hubiera estado igual de bueno que la pinta que tiene o tal y como dicen las reseñas. Las carrilleras estaban super aucosas, la salsa no tenía apenas a sabor y mucho menos sabían a vino que supuestamente llevaba,eran como una especie de albóndigas de soja, que no estaba mal como tal y llenaban.El cachopo tenía un sabor muy raro que provenía del queso, al parecer era ese tipo de queso imitando al azul pero para mi gusto el sabor era de un queso vegano que no está bueno. El postre no estaba del todo mal

He venido varias veces, todo perfecto hasta hoy, los chopitos sin limón (hubo que pedirlos) y bastante peor de sabor que de costumbre, y lo peor fue el cachopo, publicidad engañosa, ni el mismo tamaño ni presentación por 18,50€ y sin cherrys, reclamamos y nos dice el camarero que escribamos que eso es cosa de marketing y el dueño, perfecto, pues a seguir perdiendo clientes por mentir más y facturar más, no siempre más es más , matemática básica.
