Execelente lugar! Ambiente genial, atención muy amable. Las tapas son buenas, variadas y buenos precios.

Ojito con este descubrimiento: Taberna El Matador, Madrid. De esos sitios que no se inventan nada porque no lo necesitan. Tradición pura, castizo del bueno, de ese que te hace pensar: “colega, esto debería durar pa siempre”. Aquí no hay trampa ni cartón: 👉 El pincho de tortilla, gloria bendita. 👉 La morcilla: pringosita y con sus puntito picante, maravilla 👉 El lacón: buahhh!! Increíble. Súper tierno y lleno de sabor. Y ojo al servicio: rápidos, majísimos y sin mareos. Lo justo y lo necesario pa que disfrutes sin esperas. Es un sitio que mola, pero de verdad. De los que te abrazan con lo de toda la vida, sin pijadas ni moderneces que sobran. Un rincón que huele a Madrid, sabe a Madrid y que hay que visitar sí o sí. Así que ya sabes: menos postureo y más sabor! Te vas, comes, disfrutas… y sales diciendo: “me lo he gozao”.

Uno de los bares mas curiosos y pintorescos en la calle de la Cruz en Sol. Mantiene la misma estetica de hace 20 años con la pared de la barra decorada de billetes de todos los paises del mundo y la decoracion taurina castiza con su matador propio , maniqui vestido comoletamwmte de torero y con su cartel del "tigre" , tapas frias como embutidos , queso etc. Musica de flamenco y ambiente divertido. El problema es el pequeño tamaño del local , donde la mayoria de los clientes tienen que consumir de pie sin espacio. Las escaleras de bajada al baño bastantes inclinadas. Tener cuido

Buen ambiente de bareto de siempre, servicio bueno, y comida no está mal, las albóndigas pasables, los boquerones en vinagre ricos y la tosta Matador rica también. Los vinos el pata negra ribera, bien calidad precio, y hay cerveza Maestra, la limpieza podría mejorar como es habitual en estos sitios, mayor parte de público local, habitual, y algunos guiris también inevitablemente.

Iván, el qué nos atendió, fue lo mejor que pudo pasar. Después del aeropuerto, Matador fue nuestra primera parada y no decepcionó: gran comida, excelente servicio y buena música, sin duda recomendable. Gracias Iván por tu excelente servicio.

They’re become my friends over the months. The food and drinks are great but the atmosphere and staff is what takes this place to the next level. We had an awesome time at Matador Tapas Bar! It's exactly what we were looking for in Madrid. The tapas were fantastic—super tasty and authentic—and the prices were really good for the quality you get. We loved the ambiance too, just a really great, lively vibe that felt very welcoming. There was one small hiccup where the waiter forgot a couple of the things we ordered, but they were really apologetic and it all got sorted out in the end, so it was totally fine. It didn't spoil the experience at all. We left really happy and would definitely go back

I had such a wonderful experience. The atmosphere felt warm and inviting, and the decor was charming, and the place had a really pleasant vibe. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. I was a solo diner and they were quick to point out that I was over ordering, and I really appreciated that as they prevented me from wasting food. I ordered the jamon Iberico and queso semi curado de oveja, along with jerez dulce creem and they were all absolutely delicious. It was fun watching the staff slice the ham right in front of you. I’m already looking forward to coming back and trying more from their menu. Highly recommend this spot to anyone who loves great food and a welcoming dining experience!

We walked past this small but charming bar with my friend around dinner time and decided to give it a try — and it turned out to be the right choice! We ordered a mix of ham, some sangria, and beer. The waiter brought us cheese and bread as well, and everything was absolutely delicious 😋. The ham paired with the cheese and bread was just perfect. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and even though the bar is small, the atmosphere was great. I’ll definitely come back here the next time I’m in Madrid!

This local restaurant has an authentic Spanish atmosphere — the bull painting on the wall immediately sets the mood. The signature Matador toast (ham, melted cheese, tomato, and spices) is a must-try, full of flavor and perfectly balanced. Great spot for some drinks and tapas. Staff is friendly and kind to foreigners. Has AC, which is great on a hot day (door is left open so not cold but still nice). Stopped by a few times during my stay and received a good variety of tapas with drinks. Received sheep cheese, jamon, and thin cut sausage. Such a Cute Spot in Madrid – Matador We randomly walked into this place and ended up loving it! It’s a small, super cute local restaurant with a fun and relaxed vibe. The staff were really friendly and made us feel right at home, like we were eating at a friend’s place. The wine was amazing – so easy to enjoy – and the pork was honestly incredible. Tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. If you’re in Madrid and looking for a cozy local spot that’s not too touristy, Matador is definitely worth checking out. We’ll be back for sure 🩷

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Comida muy buena y ambiente acogedor. Probamos el jamón ibérico, la tortilla española y el pan con tomate, todo fresco y con excelente sabor. Queremos agradecer especialmente a la chica cubana que nos atendió, muy amable y atenta todo el tiempo. No aceptan American Express, así que mejor llevar otra tarjeta o efectivo. Un sitio ideal para tapear tranquilo en el centro de Madrid.

Al pasar por la puerta nos llamó la atención la musica que sonaba en el interior, y al entrar vimos que era un local decorado exclusivamente para los guiris porque todo era con símbolos de España. Conseguimos mesa (demasiada pequeña pero es que el local es súper pequeño), y pedimos algunas cosas. Hay que recalcar que no tienen cocina, y que los chicos te lo preparan todo en la barra. Pero cenamos bien, los chicos eran simpáticos (sobretodo el argentino que nos sirvió que es un máquina). Así que si os apetece picar algo en un lugar único de Madrid este es tu lugar

If you like meat, this is the place for you! We walked in off of the street to find a cosy and welcoming space. The restaurant itself has simple wooden stools around small tables arranged snuggly in the space. The room itself is quite dark, but was atmospheric, especially with the Spanish music playing in the background. Easy to hold a conversation with your dining mates without having to shout. For the food we ordered Sardines in vinegar - use the bread to soak up the juices, the blood sausage - husband described it as a mix between a salami and a British Black Pudding, the Pepper salad - sweetly acidic and especially tasty with the bread. For me however, the stand out was the veal meatballs - soft, juicy and delicately flavoured in a tasty sauce. Would definitely order again. Tap beer was cold and nicely hoppy. Enjoyed ourselves!

What a disappointment. Ordered wine. Not great. Ordered the “Matador” toast: cold ham, previously melted cheese(also cold) on top of bread that was soggy with cold tomato sauce. Ordered the Spanish omelette. It was cold. Fyi, this place looks super cool. Good vibe. Cool people. Food and drinks are not. I REALLY wish it had been different. I hope this was just an off night.
