Fuimos a celebrar un cumpleaños y acabamos cerrando el bar. La comida gallega espectacular, todo riquísimo y abundante. Pero lo mejor fue Jorge, el camarero: simpático, divertido y con una retranca increíble. No paró de hacernos bromas toda la noche. Portomarn es un galllego clásico para comer abundante y bien a un precio razonable. Barra animada y comedor amplio, con ambiente de casa de comidas de barrio, siempre con bastante movimiento. Cocina gallega tradicional: pulpo, lacón, empanada, tortilla y carnes en raciones generosas, destacando pulpo y codillo. Servicio rápido y profesional. Buenos precios para la zona y sensación de pagar lo justo por cantidad y calidad; ideal para ir en grupo y compartir.

Excelente comida tradicional a un precio excepcional El único pero es que estaba a tope de gente y el servicio iba un poco lento, por ello se demoró la comida y el camarero nos comentó que teníamos que dejar el salón donde estábamos libre a las 5 porque en ese salón comían los empleados a esa hora. Por lo demás 100% recomendable

We had a late night snacks at the bar. (Aceituna, Alcachofa con tocino y pimientos) All dishes were very delicious!! And the owner (I guess) was very kind to us. -We asked him about one of the liquors we were trying to find. Despite being very busy, he quickly searched for shops that might have the liquor we were looking for! And on top of that, he suggested an even better version! Thanks to him, we were able to get it. Great service, there was always a guy sweeping the area where there was high people traffic so everything was clean. The bartenders were accessible when needed. The tapas were very flavorful and fresh. They gave you an option of patatas con alioli de ajo or a quick pickled salad (I can't remember what they called it) both were delicious! The pickled salad was light and refreshing. The potatoes were filling and had tons of garlic!! The beers on tap were different than typical Spanish bars, depends on your preference. They did have Aguila lager on tap and in barrels above the bar area.

Logramos una excelente mesa, muy cómoda. La atención fue muy buena y veloz. La comida es muy sabrosa y de excelente calidad, fallan algunas racínes en la cantidad. Recomendada la tortilla gallega, fue el plato que más nos gustó. El pulpo delicioso igualmente aunque la porción queda alho corta. En general es un muy buen lugar, recomendado!

Portomarín es uno de esos restaurantes que respira tradición gallega en pleno Lavapiés desde hace décadas. Está en la calle Valencia 4, justo frente al Teatro Valle-Inclán, y es popular por ofrecer platos auténticos, generosos, y un ambiente cálido.  Lo que más me gustó: • La comida: platos como el pulpo a la gallega, el bacalao, el rabo de toro, empanadas gallegas o las carnes están bien hechos, bien de sabor, y las raciones suelen ser abundantes.  • El ambiente: es informal, acogedor, ideal tanto para comer algo rápido como para pasar una velada tranquila. El local tiene varias zonas, desde la barra animada hasta salones más grandes para celebraciones.  • Relación calidad-precio: el menú de fin de semana (con primero, segundo, postre y café) por unos ~27,5 € parece una buena opción, especialmente si se tiene en cuenta la cantidad de comida y la calidad

Portomarín es un rinconcito con espíritu gallego en pleno barrio de Lavapiés que me gustó mucho. El ambiente es acogedor y desenfadado, ideal para ir a comer o cenar con amigos sin complicaciones y compartir varios platos. La carta tiene de todo: desde tablas de ibéricos y ensaladas, hasta mariscos como berberechos o boquerones en vinagre, pasando por pulpo a la gallega, chipirones y platos contundentes como rabo de toro o solomillo a la parrilla. También tienen opciones tradicionales como caldo gallego o empanada casera, todo con un punto bien hecho y sabores auténticos.� Portomarín Me sorprendió la variedad y calidad de la comida considerando que está en Madrid, y algunas raciones son generosas, perfectas para compartir. El ambiente nos pareció agradable para una comida relajada entre amigos o pareja, acompañado de una copa de vino o una caña bien fría. Si hay algún “pero”, es que en horas punta puede estar a punto de lleno y hay que armarse de paciencia, aunque al final compensa por lo bien que se come. En general, una opción muy recomendable si te apetece un toque gallego con buena comida y sin pretensiones.

Canteen style place. A bit relaxed approach. Food was great, wine was cheap with a quite alright selection. Had some jamon, some carne fritas, and croquettes. All super tasty. Service was inattentive, but it really did not matter as the whole canteen style foreshadows that. Recommended for an uncomplicated quick meal, and a look into the more everyday consumer from Madrid.

Had a protein feast for dinner~ Everything was good, Octopus Galician style was the best I had ever, fresh and just the right texture. The corpse sea salt add a good flavor just wished it was not that corpse but finer. Grilled cuttlefish was also very fresh, no complaints. oven baked sea bass was a bit overcooked but, fresh, so it made it up. Was very loud in there due to a table of 5 that were laughing so loud, overall on the loud side due to how packed it was. Wine at average 3€/glass, great deal for me ~ I understand the reviews from a few about the “uncleanness”, at the very end, we had an “invited creature” to our table, I ended its visit very quickly. Or else would’ve given a 5 stars.

It is a typical Spanish restaurant whcih initially can be a shock for some tourists, not familiar wirh Spanish customs. It is dirty, napkins all around the floor, the staff do not speak English at all. At the same time they were polite, the hamon and cheese were delicious as well as the beef steak. The toilets were in terrible condition.

Always a great experience. Local place for food from the Galicia region, a classic for more than 40 years - you should have seen their bathrooms 30 years ago, when I started going there… the food is very good, especially the lamb with potatoes and green peppers. Their prices have gone up a lot in the last few years as it’s happened all over Madrid. I’d suggest going early, around 1:30pm to get a table.

I visited this place to have some traditional Spain food. The food was good overall, however the beef was so raw. It was not match the taste of Asian culture. They said Spanish liked that way. But you still can ask them to cook well done steak for you.

If you, like me, feel that most of Madrid is still in the 1990s, then get ready to set the time machine a few decades back still as you step into Portomarín. The waiters' uniform matches the tiles, the curtains and the napkins. The menu is unchanged as of 1942. There is ham in every single vegetable dish (apart from the asparagus, see picture). This being said, the food is good and service is efficient.

Tipico restoran madrileño, comimos Pulpo a la Gallega y croquetas de alcachofa. Creo que nos equivocamos al pedir los platos, pero el personal no supo recomendarnos y el QR de la carta no funcionaba y tampoco la tenian papel. El pulpo estaba bueno ( aunque muy picante). Muy buena la cerveza. Estaba lleno de gente. El lugar es amplio y tiene un bar en la parte delantera y varias mesas en la parte trasera. Con respecto a los precios no es caro.

Nos engañaron por la cara. Íbamos de cena de empresa con menú cerrado, 57 personas. Nos cobraron 3 menús de más y la reserva de 10€ de otros 5 menús más. Menuda propina que se llevaron por la cara, más de 220€. El comportamiento de los camareros me pareció un poco cutre, pedí una porción más de empanada y me dijeron que no, que ya habían sacado la empanada que nos correspondía. Pedí rabo de toro de segundo, estaba regular. Me resultó bastante caro para lo que nos pusieron. PARA NO VOLVER.
