La Serafina es un restaurante ubicado en pleno centro de Madrid, junto a la Puerta del Sol, que ofrece una carta rica y variada y un ambiente muy agradable, además de estar decorado con gusto. Es un sitio pequeño en su planta baja, pero tiene otra planta arriba donde puede acoger grupos más grandes. También tiene terraza. Muy, muy recomendables la ensaladilla cremosa con tartar de atún y la tarta de plátano y dulce de leche.

This was one of my favorite places to eat in Madrid! After a long day's worth of walking, my wife and I stumbled upon this location and found how great this location was! We ordered steak, which they brought it out to you raw to determine if the cut you were going to have was what you want to have or a different cut. After it was cooked, simly amazing! The croquetas was to die for as well! Overall my experience was enjoyable. If there's anything I will criticize is the fact that the service was slow. Maybe because it was late, but it took a very long time for the waiters to attend to us. It wasn't until I had called them a couple of times that they started to attend to us. Regardless, the food was great!

Diego was incredibly hospitable as our server. The food did not disappoint. We had the croquetas de jamon and they were delicious. We also had the chuleton one night and the secreto iberico a la plancha and they were both delicious. Best huevos rotos I've had in Madrid. Tested three other places since then and nothing came close so I went back and it delivered again. In general, super nice vibe in this restaurant even though it is so close to touristy Puerta del Sol. The waiters are top notch.

We went based on the excellent recommendation of our bell hop. The menu del dia between 1-4 weekdays is an awesome value. The burato salad, pasta, steak frites, and rooster fish were magnanimous! Not to mention, the rioja or two. All this, plus dessert, bread, and olives for 15 euros with very upscale vibs. Nice!

Just steps away from Puerta del Sol, right in the heart of the buzz we stumbled on Serafina Cocina Bar while wandering around looking for dinner. The place has a chill vibe, seats were super comfy, perfect for a long-talk dinner, music is nice too. The service was nice and friendly, and even though we don’t speak Spanish, they walked us through the menu. The food was way better than we expected for such a touristy area. It’s Mediterranean with a Spanish twist. We had croquetas (legit amazing) and a steak tartare that was absolutely delicious. We’ll definitely be back to try more. Great food, laid-back energy, and a rare gem in a part of town where you usually expect mediocrity.

We had an amazing meal tonight- ordered a pitcher of sangria which was amazing, the patatas bravas, a salad, and crispy chicken all of which were delicious! The salad was so refreshing and flavorful, so nice to find some green vegetables here! The sangria and potatoes were the best we have had so far! The interior of the restaurant is so chic and well decorated. Moises, our waiter, was incredibly kind, professional, and attentive! I would definitely recommend this restaurant as it is right off of Puerta del Sol!

Buen menú diario, con una relación calidad precio, para el lugar donde se ubica, más que acertada, pero algo caro si pides a la carta (comimos tan bien que dos días después, unos familiares acudieron a comer a la carta). Son rápidos, de muy buen trato y buen servicio. Suele estar lleno al mediodía, nosotros llegamos sin reserva y enseguida nos atendieron y dieron mesa. Lo más flojo, nos pareció el postre del menú. Un bizcocho de yogurt, demasiado seco, para cubrir el expediente. El resto de postres eran bastante básicos, por lo que mejorando este aspecto, ganarían mucho. El local está muy cuidado, incluso los baños eran muy bonitos y limpios, pese a estar lleno.

El restaurante está muy cerca de la Puerta del Sol, por lo que está muy cómodo para los turistas. En cuanto a la comida, para mí pasable. Sin más. Pedimos unos entrantes para compartir y luego un principal cada uno. Las croquetas estaban cremosas, las alcachofas estaban muy bien de punto, el provolone una estafa (cazuela de champiñones y cebolla con una fina loncha del queso por encima). En cuanto a los principales, el steak tartar estaba pasado de punto, probablemente dejan la carne en el aderezo para tenerlo preparado más rápido, pero la carne llega "cocida" (lo pedimos dos personas y estaban los dos igual). El lomo alto de bacalao al horno, bien de punto las lascas salían a la perfección. Los dados de atún rojo salteados estaban pasados de puntos, demasiado hechos. En cuanto a los postres, recomiendo la torrija de croissant con helado de leche merengada. El ticket fue de 47€/persona. No creo que vuelva, porque la cocina no me enamoró y el precio no hace justicia a los platos

The ambiance of this place is quite good. Centrally located in the heart of Madrid Spain. Location is really good for tourists walking around Puerto del Sol. The food quality is just so-so but not bad. We received a friendly service from Esteban. Our meat though was not properly cooked because we were the last to arrive for their lunch at around 3:50pm. We were disappointed as we were looking forward for a properly cooked meat. It was rubbery type and feel as we ate it.

El centro de Madrid se nos ha ido de las manos. Vivo en el centro y en muchas ocasiones salgo a comer, o tomar algo por mi barrio. Me gustaría que la hostelería madrileña del centro se diera cuenta que aún quedan vecinos por aquí. He ido a comer hoy el menú, bastante sencillo, sube todo los segundos, se repite la lubina y los huevos una y otra vez en estos menús. Tras la comida, hicimos sobremesa yo pedí una jarra de cerveza. Es la primera vez que me ocurre algo semejante y me parece una falta de respeto al cliente absolutamente inasumible. Entramos en Serafina Cocina Bar y, ante una pregunta tan rutinaria y educada como si disponían de cerveza Estrella Galicia, la respuesta del camarero fue un desplante ideológico totalmente fuera de lugar. En lugar de un simple 'no', se dedicó a soltarnos un discurso sobre sus preferencias políticas, mencionando a figuras públicas y partidos de manera despectiva hacia quienes no comparten su visión. En lugar de un 'no' profesional, su contestación fue: 'No tenemos Estrella Galicia. Somos muy de Mahou, muy de Madrid, muy de Ayuso y muy de Santiago Abascal' Es una actitud soberbia, inapropiada y profundamente maleducada. Fuimos a tomar una caña, no a recibir un mitin ni a que se nos juzgara por nuestras preferencias de consumo. Evidentemente, ante semejante falta de saber estar y ese trato despectivo, decidimos levantarnos e irnos. Lo más irónico es que en el local de al lado tampoco tenían la marca que buscábamos, pero nos atendieron con la profesionalidad y amabilidad que se espera de un establecimiento público, y nos quedamos allí encantados. No recomiendo este lugar para nada. Si buscas un trato amable y un ambiente donde se respete al cliente por encima de ideologías personales, este no es el sitio. Una experiencia impresentable. Y decir que la persona que nos atentió nos pareció un impresentable y maleducado. No recomiendo este lugar a nadie. Y por que el mínimo es una estrella sino se quedaban con cero.
