Buen restaurante en pleno centro de Madrid. La comida muy buena, recomiendo la carrillera con patatas y puré de boniato. Los platos llevan bastante cantidad. Los camareros muy atentos. Precio por persona 50€ aprox.

Un sitio divino que nunca decepciona.! La comida es rica de verdad sin pretensión, siempre hay ambiente vayas el día que vayas y el personal súper amable. En el primer piso tienen piano bar muy divertido! Muy muy recomendable, de lo mejor del barrio de Salamanca.

Restaurante muy bien situado, si vas en metro lo tienes a menos de 300 metros de la estación de Serrano(L4). Reservamos con antelación para comer una mesa para 6 un lunes. Nos acomodaron en la segunda planta, mesa amplia y cómoda, servicio bien atendido, no hubo esperas y comimos con mucha tranquilidad. Optamos por pedir unos cuantos platos para compartir: Torreznos, carpaccio de calabacín, falso rissoto, boquerones, chipirones, sasimi de salmón y atún rojo a la plancha. Raciones abundantes y todo muy rico, si tengo que destacar algo serían los boquerones, ni una gota de aceite de la fritura, crujientes y con muy buen sabor. De postre un tiramisú también esquisito. Estuvimos en la terraza, muy bonita y agradable. El falso risotto estuvo buenísimo, con un sabor y textura espectaculares. El socarrat con costilla también fue una delicia, perfectamente cocinado. Excelente atención y ambiente, volveremos sin duda.

She was warm, attentive, and perfectly paced the meal while keeping everything effortless and professional. We ordered pan y aperitivo, Agua Solán de Cabras (1L) and Agua Pedras (sparkling), plus two copas de Amaren. For food, we had ½ chipirones a la andaluza, ½ tartar de atún, and the croquetas de jamón—all absolutely on point. The chipirones were crisp and light, the tuna tartare was fresh and well-balanced, and the croquetas were creamy with great flavor. If you want classic Spanish bites in a lively, authentic setting—with service that makes the night—ask for Myriam. We’ll be back.

Absolutely stunning food and friendly service. Would definitely recommend. As a Brit, seeing “chicken tikka masala tacos” immediately piqued my interest and I’m glad it did because WOW. Best thing I’ve eaten for a long time: it was fragrant, punchy and fresh. The service was great. I try my best to speak the little Spanish I know, and the waiter didn’t know much English either— but we worked it out! I think it’s a shame that Brits just expect everyone to know English. We also had garlic prawns, then I had the tuna tartar with “guacamango” (highly recommend) and my partner had pork ribs. Overall yes it was a bit pricey but typical for the area and the quality makes it worth it. Will definitely be going back.

I had tapas for dinner a couple of nights back. It was a work event paid for by the company, so (un)fortunately I cannot comment on the price quality ratio. What I can comment on is the food and the vibe. The food was great, and there was really a perfect variety of tapas. I actually hate sharing food, as I never feel I have eaten quite enough. But in this case it was okay. The Spanish wine accompanying the food was really good. After 11PM the tables were put aside and the real fun began. A concert from two girls who invited people on stage to sing with them. I didn’t understand any of the lyrics as it were mostly Spanish songs. But the vibe was amazing! I even got dragged on stage. Although I got out of singing as soon as they realised I was a gringo.

Hands down the most incredible dining experience we’ve had in Madrid so far. After 2 full days of reading reviews and trying “top rated” places with disappointment, we almost lost total confidence in the food of Madrid until we found this place (friend recommendation). Atmosphere was excellent and we tasted all the flavors we hoped for and then some. This one restaurant changed our whole opinion on the culinary scene here. It was authentic and did not have tourist trap pricing we had been previously experiencing. Just an all around phenomenal MUST TRY!

I have been in Madrid for business and, as I was staying nearby, a friend took us out to dinner to the Taberna Los Gallos. It is well placed in a lively area and you could feel the vibe of the city. The place is excellent and we had dinner outside and , except the food and wine that were excellent , I enjoyed the ambience and the service. The service was perfect and I definitely recommend Taberna Los Gallos for a quick bite, for lunch or for dinner and always make sure to make a reservation because judging from the fact that it was packed with people you may need to schedule well upfront!

Jorge Juan street is in Madrid one of the best culinary options. Amongst the restaurants there you can find Taberna Los Gallos which will be almost crowded every time, offering a nice & fair choice of fixed menu dishes combined with very interesting options Off the menu. The mix of flavors and cooking points won't disappoint you. We had tremendous 'callos con jamón' & 'pisto'. Nice service despite the noisy crowd and high energy around the place. Prices won't go to the moon like in some places around. I recommend

Sitio de moda en el callejón de Jorge Juan. Cena de amigos de primer jueves de mes, y me quedo con el servicio que fue de 10, y con el ambiente del sitio lleno de gente guapa, pero en mi opinión la comida es muy regular, ni el risoto ni los escalopines estaban a la altura, precio excesivo y calidad mediocre. Eso sí, ambiente todo lo que quieras.

Lovely place, some high tables with high stools a bit uncomfortable. Outdoor terrace. I did not wonder around so can only feedback on my food and service. Nice place, service a bit slow, nice music 80s time in Spanish/movida madrileña type; food was great, red wine was kept on ice and served cold, like very cold (!??) which we found weird considering we are in Spain. Access with a wheelchair may be a problem, front double doors a bit tight. I would go back again if I could sit on a table.

Classic Spanish restaurant in a great area. The place is really big and they have 2 outdoor terraces, one on the top floor and one at the entrance to the restaurant. Nice ambient and decoration and profesional service. We went in without a reservation and everyone we spoke to was really nice. Portions are not big but food was good. To our surprise, the highlight were the tikka masala tacos.

I ate there in April 2024. It's a nice place to dine. I had dinner and chose the stuffed eggs for the appetizer (although it came with fries) and the lamb for my main course. Both were good, I don't speak much Spanish but it didn't matter because my waiter spoke "a little bit of English, a little bit of French, a little bit of Chinese.....". My meal was relaxed. Usually in the US, a meal lasts about less than an hour. Here, I spent about 100 mins at my table. No one made you feel rushed. The only downside was that it was a bit hot and noisy. So if you are looking for a quiet dining spot, this isn't it.

Taberna Los Gallos es uno de esos sitios de los que había oído hablar bastante, pero la experiencia no me sorprendió especialmente y no repetiría. El salmorejo y las verduras están buenos, pero son platos muy simples y no llegan a destacar. El resto de la comida es correcto sin más, sin ningún plato que realmente deje huella. Para el tardeo es una buena opción si te apetece tomarte una copa, aunque en invierno el espacio interior es muy reducido y se nota enseguida. En verano, en cambio, la terraza se disfruta mucho más y la experiencia mejora bastante.

Great service and atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food quality is poor and not as expected. The ingredients seem cheap, which is evident from the taste. Prices should better reflect the quality and flavor of the food. It’s a pity, because the location and service were exceptional—although communication in English with the staff was very difficult , which is quite common in Madrid. We might have paid more than usual as we got many different plates to taste and a bottle of wine. However prices are fair for Madrid standards.

As much as I wanted to give them 5, once again, poor service ruined it They have a great menu and the quality of the food is fair. I am not sure if I will be back or not, but definitely the service needs MAJOR training and improvement. It’s surprising that a place that gets so many things right can ruin the entire business and experience with low quality unprofessional service. Not only it’s obvious they lack training (how to serve chilled wine for example, without dropping water from the bottle on your food, how to properly serve the food without putting their armpit in your face…) but they also lack customer oriented attitude. This was the most disappointed from my experience. Other than that, food was great, the terrace was well equipped with good powerful fans spraying mist which created a good chilled atmosphere given the heat going on outside… there’s no establishment captures on this review as the place was too crowded and I didn’t even go inside. Overall… good food, bad service again… happy stomach, disappointed mood.

Thank you for following up. Yes, I enjoyed the atmosphere and the quality of the food. However, despite having a reservation, we had to stand for about 30 minutes in a busy passageway, which was quite uncomfortable. Because of the cold weather, waiting outside was not an option. When the drinks were served for six people, the sixth drink was only brought after we reminded the staff again, and even then it arrived 30 minutes later. Finally, when we asked for the bill, it was tossed onto the table. I am sure this was not intentional, but it would have been better if they had apologized for throwing it.

Service did not notice us for 15 Minutes and the waiter did not speak a word of English and was even not able to understand their own menu in English, so it took us a long time to order. I only write bad reviews. I spent years in the restaurant industry and am very sympathetic to employees at a badly managed establishment...but sometimes I can't restrain myself. The service was okay at best, a bit impolite (and it wasn't busy). The food was terrible. Order steak, grilled red tuna, and the tiki tacos....it all came out within 10 minutes and there is no way that's possible given how overcooked it all was. Steak was well done (ordered medium), tuna....also well done, a very interesting take. The tacos were serviceable, but clearly not fresh.. runny/oily, etc. Just not good food and I would avoid for the price.
