Vira Vira es, en mi opinión, uno de los mejores sitios de kebab artesano que se pueden encontrar en Madrid. El punto fuerte está en que todo se siente realmente cuidado: desde el pan hasta los ingredientes frescos y la preparación. El durum se nota hecho con masa trabajada de forma artesanal y bien relleno, con carne sabrosa y especiada en su justa medida. Las salsas acompañan sin dominar el sabor y las verduras mantienen textura y frescura, algo que no siempre se encuentra en este tipo de comida. No es un local de lujo, sino un sitio de street food bien ejecutado, pero precisamente ahí está su valor: comida rápida con calidad real. Si te gusta el kebab, pero buscas algo más cercano a lo artesanal, merece mucho la pena probarlo.

Visitamos este sitio porque vimos un anuncio suyo en Instagram. Fue la primera vez que fuimos y definitivamente no será la última!!! Nos ha encantado, todos los ingredientes buenísimos, fresquísimos, recién cortados! No os olvidéis de pedir un baklava de postre para llevaros un último recuerdo dulce. Muy rico. Pedí un gyros lavash de carne y está delicioso. La carne blandita, el pan o tortilla no se como se llama... Muuuuy suave y de buen sabor. Tienen una barra de acompañamiento que va totalmente de la mano con tus alimentos. Pedí las papas y el refresco y las papas saben súper también. Que delicia. Cuando vuelva a Madrid volveré a vira vira.

Best doner (gyros) in Spain! This is the only authentic, delicious Turkish doner. In Spain, you might see many signs saying they sell the similar food, but none of them are as good as Vira Vira’s. As I was born in Istanbul, lived in many countries and visited over 600 cities around the world, I know the real taste of Turkish cuisine. Whenever you are in Madrid, you must eat at one of their locations, then decide for yourselves. The service is great. Loved the gyros plate and the baklava. Highly recommended!

Went here 2x during our trip to Madrid because it was so good and great late at night. The staff was friendly and patient with us english speakers. You can watch them making fresh lavesh which was delicious. Toppings were plentiful and fresh.

We were in Madrid for a week and ate here at least once a day. Just the gyro is so good and usually this kind of street food is hard on the stomach but I guess the meat is pretty good quality. And we loved the service too.

I think it’s the best kebab in Madrid. As a New Yorker, kebab/shawarma/doner/gyro (whatever you want to call it) is one of the only foods that is hard to find back home. Whenever I’m in Europe, I have kebab almost daily (lol). Of the 4 high rated kebab places I tried in Madrid, this was by far the best. I was skeptical because it was so clean and looks like a chain (sometimes the best kebab comes from a low-key place), but it was way better than the places that “looked” more traditional. DELICIOUS! Fast and great service. 10/10.

If you are from the DACH region and are missing the legendary and phenomenal Turkish sandwich (Döner Kebab), this could serve as a good substitute. For girls hunting for sugar daddies, you could compare it to forgetting your very hard-earned Louis Vuitton handbag for your hunting trip and having to substitute it with a Chinese fake one. For me, gyros is absolutely a cheap copy of the real Döner. Moreover, the Greeks stole the Ottoman dessert baklava. Therefore, I did not try it at Vira Vira. Nevertheless, it is tasty, but different from Döner. It serves you well if you are missing Turkish Döner, as unfortunately, there is no good Döner in Madrid. I tried the chicken one with vegetables, white sauce, and salad. For Madrid and Spain it is definitely a well-deserved 5 star recommendation. Enjoy! I really enjoyed the food—it was incredibly tasty. Not spicy, but full of amazing sauces like cacık and others that I absolutely loved. The vegetables were very fresh, and the chefs were super friendly and asked about ingredient preferences. I loved everything they used. The portions were huge, which was a great bonus, and everything being halal made it even better. Definitely just go and eat there!

I have been eating doners across Europe. So far the best doner I had is with Vira Vira. Incredible. The quality of meat they use is so tasty and fresh. Every bite is delicious. They make their own breads which is again fresh. If you love turkish food, this is a must visit spot.

The main branch serves amazing gyros with generous portions and rich flavor, and their service is always fast and friendly. They clearly take pride in what they do, and it shows in the steady flow of happy customers. They truly deserve many more reviews for the great work they do. Their other branch, located just a short walk away, is also fantastic. It offers dishes like Iskender kebab and more traditional meals—equally delicious and full of quality. We loved Vira Vira so much that during our short trip to Madrid we came twice, and even returned again on another trip. Highly recommended for anyone looking for real, high-quality food with outstanding service.

As American tourists it’s probably unusual to leave the central plazas of old town for a neighborhood eatery in this section of the city that is more popular with the locals. But it was so worth it. The place sits on the corner of a small plaza and its not very big but we enjoyed the almost street vendor feel of the place even though they had a nice little restaurant space. The staff was so friendly and helped us with our Spanish and actually helped us realize that we were ordering way more than we could handle. Because the plates that they serve are massive. And so packed with fresh and flavorful goodness.

De casualidad, me topé con este local. Un lugar pequeño, donde se puede comer solo y también para llevar. - El gyro está rico y bien cargado. El combo a precio accesible, casi 15€. - El plato completo es esencial si necesitas una dosis de arroz blanco, como fue mi caso. - Lo que más más me gustó fue la salsa blanca, no estoy segura si es tzatiki. Y con las papas es la gloria 😋 Visité dos veces este local durante mi estancia en Madrid.

Un shawarma muy muy rico 🥙 y bien de precio, siempre que pasamos por la zona de tribunal y nos apetece cenar nos lo planteamos, desde mi punto de vista se disfruta más en plato que en durum, pero eso ya es cuestión de gustos 😊 El hummus y el falafel estás espectaculares y las salsas que ponen son un completo acierto. Por ponerle un pero, el local es un poquito pequeño y los baños también. Volvemos!

Probamos el Kebab de Pollo y de carne y se me hizo un poco caro para lo que fue. 13.95 el menú de Kebab + fritas + Bebida. En sí, el relleno estaba bien logrado y había mucha variedad de verdura para agregarle pero la masa estaba blanda. Las salsas Tzatziki y roja estaban muy buenas y las papas también.

La atención, el espacio y el servicio muy bien. Pagar 7 euros y pico por 4 falafels me parece caro, y una lata de coca cola por 3€ un robo. No lo recomiendo por la relación cantidad/precio.

Sinceramente, nos sorprende las tan buenas reseñas que presenta este lugar. Seguramente, porque es un punto estratégico de pasó de turistas y de gente que visita el “centro” de la ciudad. Pero honestamente, creemos que está sobrevalorado. Primero. Porque el local es súper pequeño, y apenas hay sitio para sentarse. Aunque disponen de otro establecimiento a cinco minutos andando (con terraza). Segundo. Porque el ambiente es súper ruidoso. Te levanta dolor de cabeza a los cinco minutos de estar ahí sentado. Tercero. Porque el personal no fue muy agradable. Sobretodo los que nos sirvieron la comida. Aunque entendemos el estrés al que deben estar sometidos, ya que no paran de preparar platos. Y cuarto, porque los precios son elevados para lo que ofrecen. Hay demasiada competencia en Madrid. Y os seguro que hay mejores restaurantes con este tipo de producto, donde ofrecen mejor calidad y sabor, a precios similares o incluso más económicos, y no están muy lejos de este punto.

8,50€ for having diarrhea the whole night. CAN'T recommend this place!! Only go there, if you want severe diarrhea and stomachaches. My friend and I both ordered a kebab and the taste was actually pretty good. I noticed a cucumber in my kebab that tasted a bit weird but I just took it out and didn't think about it too hard. A few hours later, we both started feeling super sick and couldn't get off the toilet the whole night. I read a few reviews on here where people talk about the exact same problem. Not sure what they do or if they use bad food but I don't understand it. If it's too hard to run a clean and hygienic business, maybe you shouldn't run a business at all... 8,50€ for diarrhea the whole night
